After there encounter Sonic stop feeling the cold was replaced with warmth he was heated. Both of there love making almost melt the whole room to the floor. Sonic and Shadow got dressed from there little encounter, "Sonic" Shadow said he wanted Sonic's attention on what he was about to say. "There is no need for words I already know what your going to say" said Sonic, "Then what was the point of all this? Why betray me?" asked Shadow, "I got tired Shadow, everyone has it's limits and you made it to the exact top of it" said Sonic, "But with all that you still love me don't you?" asked Shadow, "I can't lie Shadow yes I had a feeling for you but I don't even know if it's love anymore" said Sonic, "After the way we expressed ourselves right now? We made love in a way I could easily tell you wanted me as much as I wanted you" said Shadow, "That means nothing" said Sonic, "Nothing?!" yelled Shadow, "Nothing it was just need of heat I was barely dying there" said Sonic he turned away from Shadow, Shadow just glared at him, "Sonic look at me in the eyes and tell me if you don't love me" said Shadow. Sonic didn't look at him, "Why do you care of what I answer?" asked Sonic, "Because I have my limits too" said Shadow. Sonic turned around he looked in his eyes, "No" Sonic said there was a deep silence in the room, "Is that your honest answer?" asked Shadow, "Yes Shadow that is my honest answer and I have reasons to cover it, as well let's start with the pain shall we?" asked Sonic, "Don't tell me this all about your father and stuff like that?" said Shadow. Sonic glared at him, "It's not only that I actually believed you could change but you never did not even for me, you got me to care for you and I was a fool to fall for it" said Sonic, "You always bring all that up, just let it go!" yelled Shadow, "How can I let it go if you keep bringing things up!" yelled Sonic. He pulled out his fathers book "Explain what is my father's journal was doing in your room?!" asked Sonic, Shadow didn't say anything he glared at the book, "I found it" said Shadow, "Ofcourse you did you f***ing liar" Sonic three the book at Shadow. "I just want you gone! Leave, leave me alone" yelled Sonic, Shadow knew that he couldn't keep doing the same things over and over if Sonic never felt the same. He turned around and started to leave the room, Sonic stood there to watch him he then started at the ground he felt, something he didn't understand what it was it felt like pain and sorrow. He closed his eyes, "Sonic!" called a voice not too far, Silver and Scourge had return to him, "Scourge and Silver? Are you guys okay?" asked Sonic, "We are fine, what about you?" asked Silver, "Yeah you can say I'm alright as well" said Sonic. Even do he knew he had already done something that would go through his mind later on, "Well done guys" said Amy she smiled at them as she returned, "May how did it go?" asked Sonic, "I have the power I guess everything is back to normal" said Amy, "Well most of it" said Sonic, "What do you mean?" asked Scourge, "I'm free again to return home and never come back here" said Sonic. They all understood what Sonic meant by that, "I bet your glad you finally got your freedom" said Silver, Sonic didn't say a word he just walked pass by them heading to the outside of the temple. "What's the matter with him?" asked Silver, "Sometimes I feel like I am the one who mostly understand Sonic more than you Silver, you need to understand Sonic always though Shadow could change but his faith went against him making him see pain through love" said Scourge, "So what are you know a poet?" asked Silver, "No I am a Tarkatan that sees life in a different aseptic than you do" said Scourge he went out with Sonic. Leaving Silver with Amy, "We just need to give him a little bit of time it might seem easy to you but it isn't to him" said Amy, Silver nod, "But the deed is done, now this means we shall return to Earth Realm" said Silver, "Yes I assume that is where we shall go now" said Amy. After a while Amy transported them all back to Earth Realm in front of the castle's gates, Sonic went over to them and stared at the castle it had been so long since he had return to his home. "This is your castle?" asked Silver, "Yes it has recover ever since Shadow's attack" said Sonic. He opened the gates and went inside, "Sonia! Manic!" called Sonic waiting for one of them to arrive, "Where could they be?" he asked. Amy went next to him she looked around, "Maybe the might have left" she said, "No Manic and Sonia would never leave the castle on it's own" said Sonic, "Who knows, I'm feeling a bit tired" said Amy, "Yeah you guys can pick any room just look for one there allot that aren't occupied by anyone" said Sonic. "What about you?" asked Silver, "I'll just go to my room as usual" said Sonic he left quickly, Scourge started to leave as well he was going to clearly search for a room as well, "Well you have been awfully quiet" said Silver, Scourge turned around "Look I'm sorry Silver but I really don't have time for your bull$#*+ now" said Scourge he continue to leave. Silver felt a bit of pity for him, he had seem to have a hard day he couldn't blame him this was a hard and long day.
Shadow had return to his castle with both Mephiles and Fleetway, "Shadow!" Rouge ran to him and hugged him, but Shadow didn't return the hug, "Shadow I was so worried you might have been hurt or even killed" said Rouge, she let of Shadow. "I'm fine Rouge just need a little rest is all" he said, "Alright then I'm just glad your safe" said Rouge smiling at him and left to continue with her chores. Shadow turned to look at both Fleetway and Mephiles, "The mission is over now, you may leave" said Shadow, "It may seem over to you, but to me it isn't yet" said Mephiles, "What do you mean by that?" asked Fleetway, "Something is still not right" he said, "It's not worth is anymore Mephiles it's best if we just drop it" said Shadow, "If you say so but I will be stay here for the night" said Mephiles, "Do what you want, I'm just tired after what happen" said Shadow, "What Sonic took the energy out of you?" asked Fleetway, "Yeah technically" said Shadow he just wanted to rest he went to his room and lied down on the bed he looked outside for a moment but then turned around and fell asleep quick.
Mephiles and Fleetway both found a room for each and it was one next to the other. Mephiles couldn't help but to think about his conversation with Silver it may have seemed to marked him.
(In the Ice Temple with Mephiles and Silver) Mephiles vanished and reappeared behind Silver his dark vines grabbed his arms and legs making him defenseless unable to move, "Now you will listen what I have to say" said Mephiles. Silver struggle in the dark vines, "Let go of me I don't want to hear your lies!" yelled Silver, "Your going to listen to me anyway, I am not the responsible for what happen to your mother years ago" said Mephiles, "You killed her breaking your promise" said Silver, "Your mother does from a sickness even if I try she would have ended the same way" said Mephiles. Silver shook his head, "No you liar!" yelled Silver, "It's true Silver, the reason I keep your mother's death a secret is because I was afraid how you would react to it" said Mephiles, "How would you care about me?" asked Silver mad, "It's true I was actually changing..... You changed me, if only you would have let me explained to you Silver the night you left I was actually going to tell you something" said Mephiles, "But I didn't wanted to be there anymore" said Silver. Mephiles kissed Silver, Silver's eyes widen he wanted to pull away but Mephiles forced the kiss. Silver couldn't do anything, Mephiles looked do crystallized Silver thought that was going to cut him but on the contrary it wasn't as sharp as it looked. He keep on kissing it had been a long time since Silver felt Mephiles lips, "I love you Silver, I always did" said Mephiles, Silver just started at him. (End of the recent flashback)
"I was actually a fool to believe you actually would forgive me for my mistake, but still I can't redo what I just did" thought Mephiles to himself he say on the hedge of the bed. Silver had been thinking the same thing over and over again, "How can I forgive him if all he did was cause me pain?" asked Silver to himself. He didn't knew that thinking about him too much was just hurting himself. Silver was so confused he didn't knew if to believe Mephiles or not.
Scourge on the other hand tried to entertain himself by trowing his sai to the wall grabbing it and then throwing it again. But not even that could get his mind of Fleetway's words.
(In the Ice Temple fighting with Fleetway) Scourge user his spin dash and went close to Fleetway he grabbed his sai and staved him several times in the gut at Fleetway. Fleetway manage to slash Scourge several times up close. "Looks like your raining is paying off" said Fleetway, "I learned to use it in my unique stile, too bad I can't make you back down before I do" said Scourge.
"Back down? A king never back downs on what he can be" said Flestway, "What are you saying?" asked Scourge, "Your making a grave mistake Scourge" said Fleetway. Scourge wasn't understanding Fleetway, "My mistake was trying to trust you" said Scourge, "You really think so Scourge, you follow your every "master" word and look what it has lead you" said Fleetway, Scourge put his sai back on his back, he was understand Fleeway what he was trying to say. "Tell me Scourge what do you see?" asked Fleetway, Scourge just looked around the icy walls, even some dead heads there, "Nothing" said Scourge low, "Really because I see a Tarkatan.... One who has such great skills and someone that can even live a better life then just being some experiment to control" said Fleetway, "Ce with me while you can, why so caught up in place that doesn't want you?" asked Fleetway. Scourge looked down, "Let me help you" said Fleetway offering a hand at Scourge, "I don't need your help" said Scourge rejecting Fleetway. (End of flashback)
Scourge sigh, "A better life yeah right" said Scourge to himself. The night had fall the castle was silence as they all sleep during the night. Silver was startle by a crash he started to hear, he got up and opened the door to check outside. He was walking down the hall and notice something odd was heading his way, it was a unknown guard, Silver opened a door and hide inside the room, he looked a but outside. "So you see them too?" asked Scourge, Silver was startled, "Ah! Really Scourge this is no time for your disappearing and reappearing tricks" whispered Silver, "Oh please would you drop that we need to get to Sonic's room but we are going to have to go through the windows" said Scourge. They both looked outside the window, Scourge saw one a little higher and grabbed on to it claiming it, Silver looked down, "Oh are you sure there isn't another way?" asked Silver, "Look sissy if we don't move know who knows what those odd guys would do" said Scourge, "I rather take my chances with the guards" said Silver, "Just float you have telepathy don't you?" asked Scourge, "Uhh I barely know how to use it" said Silver, "Okay forget it here" said Scourge giving him his sai. "What do you want me to do with this?" asked Silver, "I want you to stab yourself" said Scourge sarcastically, "Just use them to make holes in the wall and $#*+ like that" Scourge keep jumping from window to window. Silver put the sai in position and started to stab the wall climbing it, they both ended up in Jules balcony, "Now what?" asked Silver, "Pisss guys!" called someone from in the room, "Uhh?" they both looked inside, "Guys thank goodness it seems we are being attacked by some strange guards" said Sonic, "You don't know who they are?" asked Scourge, "No but there up to no good" said Sonic. He pulled the rag and there saw a door, "My dad had this door for emergency" said Sonic be tried to open it but couldn't. Sonic notice the lock, "It has a lock but I can't find the key" said Sonic, "We are going to have to use a new key" said Scourge he grabbed his sai that Silver had, and broke the lock with them opening the door, "Okay come on go, go" said Sonic. Silver and Scourge jumped down and Sonic followed closing the door, they made it down at the bottom, "What now?" asked Silver, "I don't know, I can't remember the way out" said Sonic. They started to hear steps coming there way, "Who's there?!" Sonic asked when the imagine got out of the darkness they saw it was Amy, "Oh Amy it is only you" said Sonic the tree felt relaxed knowing it was Amy. Amy didn's say a word she threw some kind of purple ball at them it explode letting out some gas, "Amy! What the #€££?!" yelled Sonic. The tree were quickly knocked out by the gas.
Shadow woke up feeling like cr@p and stood up he was surprise that morning Rouge wasn't in Shadow's room bringing him his breakfast. He got up his body hurt a bit and went to the kitchen to get something to regain his strength. He manage to get something to eat he was now just drinking his coffee heading straight to the throne room. When opened the door he saw Mephiles and Feetway very concerned talking, "Fleetway, Mephiles what a surprise I though you left by now" said Shadow, "Something came across us just about now when we were about to leave" said Mephiles he gave Shadow a envelope, Shadow opened it and inside was a some kind of digital message he settle the flat machine on the his table and press the only red bottom. There was showing a imagine of someone with a brown coat on that cover him from head to two, "Shadow" he said the deep mad voice come out of him. "Who are you?" asked Shadow, "Someone you have forgotten for a long time Shadow someone you haven't yet meet" said the strange coat guy. Fleetway and Mephiles were next to Shadow watching the message, "I don't understand" said Shadow, "You will soon understand you be surprise how a mirror can be very deceiving" said the guy, "What do you want?" asked Shadow, "I want you to suffer the same faith you gave me a long time ago Shadow" said the strange guy. Shadow was still clueless on what the guy was saying, "Also I have a little surprise for you" he said suddenly the imagine switch to Sonic, Silver, and Scourge they were all chained there arms were up from there arms a chain around there neck and from there feet keeping them hold on. Shadow, Mephiles, and Scourge were actually shocked they never expected that they be there prisinors. "Who are you and how did you get them?" asked Shadow, "If you and your team want to save your precious mates come over to the Earth Realm castle I will be waiting for you arrival" said the man the message quickly shut down. "No!" yelled Shadow he tried pushing the bottom again but it didn't work, "Damit!" he yelled. "Who is this guy?" asked Mephiles, "I don't know" said Shadow, "But he knew your name" said Fleetway, "He may know who I am but I don't know who the #€££ he is" said Shadow. "How does he even know about us and the others?" asked Mephiles, "I guess he has been spying on us, it seems he wants something from us but what does he mean suffer the same faith I gave him a long time ago?" asked Shadow, "Did you have a little encounter with someone?" asked Mephiles, "No not that I remember" said Shadow, "What do you think we should do?" asked Fleetway. Shadow looked away and went to his window to look out on what he saw nothing that is what he felt. "I know you feel like you shouldn't help but I know one thing, Sonic needs you now" said Mephiles, Shadow keep on looking on the outside, "If you wanted to prove Sonic wrong now is your time" said Mephiles, "You give the last word big guy" said Fleetway, Shadow chuckled a bit he turned around "Grab your weapons boys cause we are going to Earth Realm" said Shadow.
Sonic, Silver, and Scourge had been tied up with chains for hours, Amy just stood there looking away for hours, "Amy what is the meaning of this? I though you where our friend" said Sonic, she glared at them "Well then you though wrong, You where all so gullible to fall into my trap and not noticing" said Amy, "You b*+€#!" yelled Silver, "Hahahahahahaha you fools are so good to trick" said Amy, "What are you talking about?" asked Sonic, "I have been holding a secret no one knows not even Shadow was smart enough to know about it and soon if my client can defeat Shadow he will die withought knowing it" said Amy, "So that is your plan to get Shadow here?" asked Sonic, "Not only Shadow, I'm sure Fleetway and Mephiles will come as well" said Amy, "Puff yeah right your trick won't work they all know we are out of there lives so what is the point?" said Scourge, "You might think that but I know they will come for you tree I've been watching you carefully know. Since you know that I am your knew enemy then time to show you all my true self" said Amy she united her knuckles together creating a red light around her. After hours Shadow, Fleetway, and Mephiles were now in front of the gates of Earth Realm, "What has happened here?" asked Shadow, he looked around Earth Realms blue skies were now a dark purple the land was dead nothing could be found alive everything looked so evil and different, "This is more similar to Nether Realm than Earth Realm are you sure we jumped in the right portal?" asked Mephiles, "Yes no though Earth Realm" said Fleetway, "Maybe this are the results of what is happening" said Mephiles. There was a noise heard from the castle the gates opened, they quietly walked inside. It was very quiet they keep walking till they made it to the ball room it was big and gray many guards on the sides were dead, "What is this #€££ all over again?" asked Mephiles, "You will be wishing this would be #€££ soon enough" said the strange guy in the brown coat. "You where is Sonic and the others?" asked Shadow, "There just fine for now" he said Shadow glared at him, "Who are you and why are you doing this?" asked Shadow, "Who am I is not what matters if not is what I represent" he said, he was starting to get closer to them, they keep there guard up, "Shadow..... I am the mirror of your broken past" he said he grabbed on to his hood on top and removed his coat "I am Rain, the true King of Edenia" he said. Shadow eyes widen he couldn't believe what he was seen. It was a reflection of himself it was identical to him, unlike Shadow, Rain's stripes were purple even his eyes were the same as Shadow's nothing but a white pattern but such anger they expressed.
