Big Trouble
Shadow had return to his room to check on the book, he looked around and didn't saw it, "Rouge! Where is the book?!" he called out, "I put it on your bed" said Rouge, "Well it's not here!" said Shadow. Rouge came into his room, "But it was here a second ago" she said, "Great I don't have time to be searching for some book, you know what forget all I need now is to find Sonic and check where the #€££ is he" said Shadow. "Where exactly are you going to look for him?" asked Rouge, "Probably everywhere and plus make sure Fleetway is stand by, I can't have people in the kingdom freaking out" said Shadow. Rouge nob she had been taking care of everything ever since Amy was gone, "Amy where are you?" she though. Shadow had left the castle in search of Sonic he started to the beach.
Amy had come back with a gem in her hands, "Oh good your back" said Sonic. Sonic, Scourge, and Silver had been waiting for her, "I found the yellow gem in Shadow's castle also I found this on his bed, it belongs to your father Sonic" said Amy giving it to him. Sonic remember the patterns on the book it was indeed from his father, "This is my father's" said Sonic looking at it, "I realized he was reading a certain page I think it was like page 10" said Amy. Sonic searched for it the book quickly fell in that place, he had read every detail carefully. Sonic had never felt so discussed in his life for what he had just read he closed it not wanting to read anymore, Silver and Scourge notice, "Sonic is something wrong?" asked Scourge, "It's nothing just .... Nothing at all" said Sonic they both knew it was the contrary. "Are you sure?" asked Silver, "Yes guys please just let me meditate for a second" said Sonic, "Well make it quick, I already have the tree gems we just have to take them to the gate keeper as soon as we can" said Amy, "What will he do?" asked Scourge, "He is the one who decides to let us pass or not, but this won't be easy" said Amy. Sonic, Scourge, and Silver weren't expecting anything easy but if they had to meet this gate keeper. They decided to meet him as soon as possible and so Amy took them to him, "Guys this is Evil the gate keeper" said Amy, they all started at the gate keeper, "So you tree are the ones Amy had been telling me about her strong friends" he said with his dark voice. "Yes we are, we have come here in search of the Ice Temple all we need are the opened gates" said Sonic, "I can not open this gates, I have been keeping them close for a long time, the only way for me to open this gate is if you can defeat me in battle" said the gate keeper his had a his very own sword of bones but don't be deceived it was very sharp. Sonic, Scourge, Silver got ready for battle, Sonic was the first to charge with his combo of kicks as fast as he could but the gate keeper was faster he blocked each one and punch Sonic's jaw making him fall back wards, Scourge threw his sai but the gate keeper moved over and appear behind Scourge manage to use his portal technique to avoide the attack, Silver threw his Razor Rand hiting the gate keeper slashing his back. He slash Silver's chest from the attack, the sword dpesn't damage cloths but it gave Silver a big cut that sting in his chest. Sonic threw his steel folding fans at the gate keeper but he manage to reverse them and they headed strait to Sonic. Sonic moves away in time but the gate keep grabbed him and threw him against Scourge. The fight went on for hours the gate keeps wasn't too damage, but not Sonic, Scourge, and Silver they were filled with cuts and blood even do there clothing weren't damage it was covered in blood. "You tree had caught well it is almost night time to tell" said the gate keeper he put his sword away, "I fell pity for three so I shall let you pass, but there is one this I would like to say to you Sonic. Don't be fooled by your eyes, appearances are full of lies" said the gate keeps he vanish into thin air. The tree were exhausted they couldn't take another step, "I need to take you all back" said Amy. Back in the Flesh Pits, Amy treated each ones wounds, "I don't know how that guy does it but he keep up a good fight" said Scourge, "Well it's not the first time he had done this" said Sonic, "That is why they call him the gate keeper" said Silver. "Still we do have the gate open but we still don't have the location of the Ice Temple" said Sonic, "We can find that easy" said Scourge, "Well then why don't you go ahead and find it on your own?" asked Silver crossing his arms, "I would but going means getting risk on being caught" said Scourge, "I said it many times and I will still say it again Typical Tarkatan" said Silver, "You know for a mobian you sure have a big mouth" said Scourge. "Enough we need someone to stay here and guard the gems for a while, Scourge you stay here, Silver and I will head out to find the exact location" said Sonic, they all agree Scourge stay behind, Sonic and Silver went out of the Flesh Pits but were too careless, Shadow was passing by and had spotted them. He first heard them and went over he knew clearly that was Sonic, "So this is where you been hiding Sonic" though Shadow he saw Silver that had followed him on the way out, "Silver? But I killed him? What the #€££ is going on here" Shadow waited them to leave and they did. Shadow went near the Flesh Pits entrance and saw there was no door and so he entered inside as quiet as he could going down the stairs. The Flesh Pits wasn't a beautiful place it was bloody and it had plenty of organs and a few dead bodies, even clowning tubes he went over to one of them it looked like Sonic but it was Tarkatan, "What in the name of ..." Shadow said quietly he saw something green laying on the rocks. Shadow went over to him, Scourge was just resting his energy there, "That..... Tarkatan looks like Sonic" he said. Scourge heard him clearly and opened his eyes quickly, Shadow was startle by that and took a step back. "Shadow" said Scourge getting off the rock, "Well what a pleasant surprise, you should have told me you were coming over" said Scourge he didn't had his mask on, Shadow was staring at those terribly sharp teeth, everytime Scourge got closer he took a step back. "What's the matter? Dodn't you know Sonic and I are genetically the same person" said Scourge, "You are not Sonic, your a monstrosity!" yelled Shadow. He got in attack position and so did Scourge, Scourge was the first to attack by doing a spin dash knocking Shadow off his feet, Scourge punched him while he was still in the air, Shadow quickly got up and grabbed Scourge's arm twisting it he then kicked his face, flipping him over. Scourge used his portal move to reappear behind Shadow stabbing his sai on both shoulders, "AHHHH!" Shadow threw him off he still had the sai in his shoulder, he removed them and threw them aside he grabbed his two sword and started to swing them at Scourge. Scourge agility helped him avoid the sword he escaped and grabbed his sai when he did Shadow had cut his back twice, "Your a pest!" he yelled, Scourge kicked his feet knocking him down. Scourge put his foot on his chest, "What is your reason here?! Why would Sonic even be here?!" he yelled, "Sonic is my creator he made me to help him escape from your hands!" said Scourge, "That's a lie" said Shadow, "You wish it was" said Scourge. With those final words Shadow's flames teleported him in front of Scourge he punch Scourge practically everywhere he even threw him against the wall a few times. Scourge threw his sai landing on Shadow's chest, Shadow removed them but when he did Scourge did a jump kick hitting his chest. It didn't knocked Shadow off his feet, Shadow threw the sai back at Scourge and punched his face knocking Scourge out. Shadow had defeated Scourge, he was tired and hurt, he walked a little farther but when he was about to leave a portal not too far from Scourge appeared. Shadow looked back and saw Sonic, "Shadow?" asked Sonic in shock, he couldn't take his eyes off him. Sonic then looked at Scourge who was the ground knocked out, "Scourge! What did you do to him?!" yelled Sonic, Shadow went a little closer to Sonic, "Don't you dare come near me!" yelled Sonic, "Shut up! What the #€££ is this?! I treat you well and this is my thanks?! You creating this, this.... Abominations!" yelled Shadow, "You will pay for what you did to my friend" said Sonic. He charged at Shadow and knocked him out with one punch in the face. Shadow was just so tired and hurt from his resent battle with Scourge he couldn't take another punch. Silver came out of the portal and saw them, "Sonic? What happen?" he asked, "No time to explain we need to grab Scourge quick and leave we have been exposed" said Sonic he went over to the gems and grabbed them. Silver put Scourge arm over him while Sonic put the other over him as well, they went thru the portal leaving Shadow in the Flesh Pits knocked out. Sonic, Silver, and Scourge where now in the gates where the gate keeper was. Amy saw them carried a damage Scourge back, "What happen?" she asked walking over to them, "It was Shadow he attacked Scourge, I'm afraid we where too careless and got discover" said Sonic. Amy knew this now meant trouble if she knew better it was best to have left the four of them, "I'm afraid we are going to have to go to the Ice Temple sooner then what I thought, if Shadow catches up with us it might ruin the plan he can even try to take the power for his own" said Amy, "Well then this means we need to speed things up, Amy can you cure Scourge with a spell or something?" asked Silver, "I might now one that can help" said Amy, "Perfect as soon Scourge is up again we take off to find the Ice Temple our selves" said Silver the two nod.
Shadow was starting to wake up in a strange place he was in the nursery back in the castle. He quickly sat up, "Sonic! That traitor!" he yelled, Rouge was startle "Shadow relax your recovering" said Rouge, "How did I get here?" asked Shadow, "Fleetway and Mephiles found you, Shadow what happen?" asked Rouge, "Sonic happened he had betrayed me once again" said Shadow. After Rouge checked his wounds that where now cured with a special medicine but his shoulders were still recovering he went over to Mephiles and Fleetway, "I see you have recovered much" said Mephiles, "Yes, it was because of what happened" said Shadow, "I know Fleetway told me he saw everything from a distance" said Mephiles, "I even saw more than what you think" said Fleetway, "What do you mean?" he asked, "I notice Sonic grabbed the three gems, purple, red, and yellow" said Fleetway, "Aren't those the three legendary gems combined?" asked Shadow, "Yes, those are use to find the location of the great power" said Mephiles, "Great power?" asked both Fleetway and Shadow. "Yes it is said deep in the forbidden gates passing by the gate keeper, there is a Ice Temple on the very top of the room there lies a special power that is like a cube or a orb no one really now it's shape but one things is know that kind of power can be very dangerous in the wrong hands" said Mephiles, "So your telling they are going after this power?" asked Shadow, "That might be, Sonic, Scourge, and Silver are a team now that means there mission there will be easier than any other mission" said Fleetway. Shadow knew what this mean, "Then this means we need to stop them before they reach there destination but I can't do it alone" said Shadow, "You don't have to" said Rouge, the three looked back at her, "You three make a great team together you can stop them before they make a mistake" said Rouge, "Well you heard the lady" said Shadow he grinned, "Then that means we are now officially a team" said Mephiles he put his mask on, "Shall we proceed on our mission" said Fleetway, Shadow put his mask on too "Mission #1 boys stop the three before they reach the temple" said Shadow.
Sonic, Silver, and Scourge were already heading to the temple they had to pass a path before making there way there. The tree gems were there key all along it recalled to them where they had to go. "The path is getting chilly" said Scourge they had been walking threw a misty path but when the mist cleared up the came across to the unusual they found a path it had many ice shards big ones as well, "What is this place Amy?" asked Sonic, "It's the Ice Shard path years ago a village lived here but one day a terrible storm came here and froze everything creating this crystals you can even see in the shards some of the forms of the people who lived here" said Amy, "Yeah not to mention the people who died passing threw here" said Scourge, "What are you talking about?" asked Silver, Scourge pointed a little lower from the path and there was some bodies recently frozen in the shards. They all saw it, "It seems they try to pass but didn't make it" said Amy, "Well no time to be looking at dead frozen bodies we have keep on walking or else we will never make it to the temple" said Sonic he started to slide down one of the ice till he made it down, the others followed him down, "You know for a place that has a powerful power I don't see anyone trying to protect in anyway" said Scourge. "That is because we are only going to the path when we make it inside the Ice Temple that is where the real challenge is" said Amy, "Hey I can hardly wait" said sarcastically Scourge. They had been passing threw the Ice Shard Path till they made it out, "I'm starting to feel the chill" said Silver, "Yes it is very cold here but don't worry you will soon get use to it, plus I sense we are getting closer and closer" said Amy. There was a horrible sound it came a little farther from the shards, "What was that?" asked Sonic, "It has to be from the temple let's just keep going" said Amy.
Shadow and his team had made it to the front gates, "This is it?" asked Shadow, "I suppose so" said Mephiles, "Instead of just guessing ask the dead guy over there" said Fleetway pointing at the gate keeper. "That's the gate keeper" said Mephiles, "Exactly ask the dead gate keeper" said Fleetway, "Would you just stop" said Shadow he went over to the gate keeper. "Excuse me I was-" Shadow was interrupted by the gate keeper, "Yes it is" he said, "How did you know why I was going to ask?" asked Shadow, "Because I know everything about each one of you, just go ahead before I change my mind" said the gate keeper. Shadow and the others keep walking threw the gates. "Well that was odd" said Fleetway, "Well he is the gate keeper, let's just see a way to find those three" said Mephiles, Shadow looked at the ground that seemed like snow and saw boot marked, "I think we know where they are now" said Shadow he knelled down and looked at the snow, "Good then that is our first clue to them" said Mephiles they follow the tracks to see where it lead them to. Everytime Shadow took a step the snow melted, Shadow was heated un like any normal person he doesn't feel the cold and that was at his advantage.
