I took Lan's son Montigo and his wife Habibah from public humiliation and created a spin off comic. the transgender issue is freaking out readers and the question of is Montigo gay, as a result I have readers who wont publicly comment, have others who have said they would stop reading all my comics ect,, the comic is pg which dosen't seem to be what ink bunny readers want, so we are to taboo and not taboo enough

So folks are 'afraid' of the comic because of the whole transgender thing? Damn, sorry to hear that. I haven't been back to DD for some time, so I didn't know about this new comic. That sucks that some folks are threatening to stop reading ALL of your comics just because they don't like one of them. I'm sure though that if some folks at DD knew about my MHALL comic they'd probably say the same thing to me. So I say, "Fuck em!"

its been an interesting experience as a cartoonist and story teller, lost one long time reader, who I do miss , for strangeness we will read (death porn )and comment but we are afraid to be judged for commenting on one that's a romance, but I think its a story that needs told, transgender people in comics don't seem to be represented as real people with real problems but as sex objects, compared to my first comic , habibah is a very tame emotional comic about bullies, hate and being in love and questioning ones sexuality identity, I want to tell this story so I guess they can go play with them selves,, but yeah some of DD readers would give very mixed reactions to your Mhall work,

Only recently discovered your comic and have found it very interesting. Not worried about the transgender thing. The story is the important part and how it is told.

the comic keep getting a lot of hate not by people whom had been reading it but just trolls sharing hate on social issues so I pulled it from that site and moved it here,

That is a shame. It has a lovely look and a beautiful story. I've been around long enough to know it is what is in the heart not the sex of the person that matters.

Hi! I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but your first post here is 2 years ago, and seems to be set in this universe - does that mean that there is 2 years' worth of content somewhere else that I can read? Or are you moving old content here now because of the trolls that you mentioned above? Either way, I love this setting and your characters, and if there's more somewhere else, I'd love to see it. If not, that's ok - but please keep doing this series! Hell, shoot for the stars - approach mainstream agents. Furry stuff gets published in "for real" places when it has good content beyond just the fandom attraction, which this does IMO, and it's about time transgender folks started appearing in leading roles.
On a different topic, it's so depressing this got hate anywhere. The characters are compelling and well-crafted, and the art is adorable. Keep it up!

Habibah's song is a spin off story from a larger comic universe, that comic deals with montigo's father and friends and there efforts to achieve freedom and personhood, in that comic human and elves see pooka as animals and buy and sale pooka and eat them ect , the ear numbers show ownership by a human or elf, that comic is currently off line do to a problem with where it was hosted , as there are years of content and a lot of humans I won't move it here, Habiab's song was a new comic so easier to move something that had just been started here, part of my effort was to address real world problems/issues in a different world and to have a transgender individual as more then a sex object , or freak but as a real character with hopes and fears,

Our rules only require that humans not be in sexual situations, or showing genitals or arousal - otherwise, they are allowed.
It is true that if the comic is mostly about humans, there may be better places for it, such as deviantART. But interaction between humans and intelligent animals is a very relevant topic.
Of course, sometimes old content looks odd next to new! In that kind of situation it might be best to link it for those interested (or redraw, but that can be too much effort for a story already told).
