"Riding a legend"

Turns out, the reason nobody's gotten a chance to meet the Loch Ness monster is because she's shy! That lizard guessed that, and did his best to coax her out by just coming by and staying around quietly for a while. It took a few days, but she finally welled up the courage to talk to him, and they fairly quickly became friends after that. While she's still not okay with anyone else being around, she and the lizard always have a good time hanging out together, and she even lets him ride her every now and then.

According to Cryptid Wiki, if Nessie somehow needs introduction: First sighted in 564 (That's not a typo), Nessie has become one of the most legendary cryptids there is, beaten only by Bigfoot and the stereotypical grey alien. They're typically depicted in sort of a sea serpent style, with paddles or stumpy legs, though I think of them as looking like a plesiosaur. There's no main theory about what they actually are, though several state that they're either a dinosaur or primitive species of whale. The most famous picture of "them", the black and white one I'm sure you've seen, was actually faked, and was only revealed to be so in 1991, 57 years after it was taken.

Show of hands, how many of you did NOT expect this one? I couldn't just do an underwater cryptid-themed art set without including Nessie, right? Anyway, that's that! I had fun with this, but now I'm gonna go on break for a WHILE, my mind is EXHAUSTED.
