Dacquiose, better known by his nickname "Lemon", is a confectionary fairy of the Summer Court. One might think that such a type of fairy might be happy, bubbly, and nice, as fae go at least. Turns out Mr. Citron here is a bit of grump and a fighter. See, he's not much of one for "home life" as one might put it. As much as he enjoys baking his signature cake, he prefers a good scrap even more so. Put a sword in his hand and point him towards an enemy of the Summer Court and he'll get his pound of flesh.
Despite his surly and, often times, unsavory disposition, Lemon's family are even worse than he is. Faustian bargains, tormenting mortals, one might think they blur the line between fae and fiend. The rumors certainly swirl about them. Upon his majority, he wanted nothing to do with the rest of them and made his own way in the Summer Court. He hasn't seen or talked to his parents or brother in well over a century and he's content with that.
So imagine his surprise when, near two hundred years after leaving home and his family behind, he gets a knock on the door. A woman, a pixie he's never seen before, holds a small child. Both are weak, the mana that serves as their lifeblood had nearly been burnt away. She claims the babe is his, magic says so. He's not been with a woman in some time, let alone a pixie.
She can't be his daughter... but the magic wasn't looking for her father. It brought them to the child's nearest blood relation. The revelation hit him, the little girl is his niece. The woman is a pixie his brother had his way with, the babe's mother. He's not thrilled about it, but he must help them. He gives the two mana of his own, saving them from a fate worse than death. It turns out the baby needs more mana than the average pixie to grow; the woman can't provide enough to sustain herself and the child. It's an impossibility for her to raise the child.
From that day, Lemon takes his niece under his wing. He raises her as his own child, though she's aware of her real paternity. The swaddled babe is now a grown woman he can be proud of... When she's not being a brat to her uncle that is.

So here we have yet another fae character of mine, and one of the few non-botanical ones at that! Though his specific confection is botanic tangential... We won't count that though! Dacquiose is what happens when my ADHD is allowed to run unmedicated through my brain and pull the levers. Specifically, he came about from the simple thought of "Lemon pound Cake". And yes, the capitalization is intentional there, y'all will see why here shortly.
Overall, I've got some background and idea of who Lemon is and where he fits in the world. I penned it out, along with some more lore on my fae, while
