Chiffon was the product of a violent encounter between her mother and father. That's as much as her uncle, Dacquiose, has ever told her. She's never known her biological father, and from what Dacquiose tells her, she never really wants to. That man's a bitter bastard who can rot in the aether for all she cares. Probably wouldn't give her the time of day anyways, seeing how she's a pixie anyways.
Lemon has been her "dad" since she could remember. By her measure, he's been a great dad. He's taught her everything she could learn in magic. When they realized she was a confectionary pixie, she learned all she could about baking from him. She even learned how to fight from him, and she can scrap with the fairies thanks to Lemon's instruction. That's no small boast coming from her station.
She's 380 now. More than old enough to move on and find a home of her own, but... she feels a sense of debt to her uncle. He could have tossed her mother out all those years ago. Left the two of them to fade into shades once their mana had run out. But he didn't. He saved her, and her mother too! It's a life debt that he says has been paid, but she still feels the obligation to stick around and serve him... even if she can be a bit of a brat at time. Only doing what her dear uncle taught her though!
----- And here we have the other half of "Lemon pound Cake"! Chiffon "Cake" Mirtillo is also a confectionary fae, though a pixie rather than a fairy*. She's effectively Lemon's daughter and "Pet", though she could shed the later designation at any time if she really wanted to. She enjoys being a bit of a brat to her uncle though. Why? Because when Cake is being naughty, "Lemon pound Cake."... Yes. A pun is what ultimately drove me to make these two. Now y'all have to live with it!
*Lore time: For those wondering, a pixie is lower in the hierarchy of my fae. Finite, though still immensely long, lives, less magic power, so on and so forth. Also, pixie wings are derived from butterflies in my canon, whereas full fairies have moth wings with a few exceptions in the Chthonic and Celestial courts (though still not butterfly wings with those).
