Character Description
Blade the Bisharp is an original character (OC) created by RachelTheFictionkin, based on a Shiny Bisharp from the Pokémon series. He is a Japanese Bisharp gijinka and Jiang Cheng, Gladiolus Amicitia, and Crunch Bandicoot kin. The artist envisions Blade and other members of the Pawniard evolutionary line as humanoid beings with armored bodies, retractable blades, and four rows of shark-like teeth.
Blade is one of the many warriors belonging to his clan, which draws inspiration from feudal Japan and is located in the land of Kitakami. As the eldest son of Guntō the Kingambit, the clan's Shogun, Blade is highly respected and regarded as the future ruler. Born into the imperial family as a Pawniard, he was subjected to rigorous daily physical training at his parents' insistence to prepare him for his future leadership responsibilities. He trained alongside his fellow kin, hunting wild prey for sustenance and fighting against rival clans. Even as a younger, less experienced warrior, Blade displayed considerable ambition and worked diligently to earn his parents' approval.
When his younger brother, Knife, was born, Blade resented the idea of having a sibling. Fearing that Knife's presence would overshadow his accomplishments and diminish his chances of becoming the next Shogun of Kitakami, Blade took out his frustration on the infant, bullying him out of spite and wishing he had never been born.
However, as the years passed, Blade's mistreatment failed to diminish Knife's affection for him. Instead, Knife grew increasingly attached to his older brother, often looking up to him as a hero. Witnessing his younger brother's unwavering admiration gradually softened Blade's attitude, teaching him to appreciate the value of their sibling bond. Eventually, Blade became fiercely protective of Knife, dedicating himself to keeping him safe and showing little hesitation in confronting anyone who dared to harm him.
Personality
In contrast to Knife's shy and reserved nature, Blade is direct, short-tempered, and assertive. He typically speaks in a rugged, serious manner, often coming across as blunt, brooding, or intimidating. He tends to adopt an authoritative attitude toward his peers, reflecting the discipline and expectations instilled in him from an early age.
Despite his stern exterior, Blade has a softer and more playful side that emerges around those he holds dear, particularly women. He can be charming and flirtatious when he feels comfortable, often expressing himself through provocative humor and teasing remarks. Beneath his rough demeanor lies a strong sense of brotherhood and a fiercely protective nature, especially when it comes to his younger brother.
