Character Sheet for Knife the Bisharp
Character Description
Knife was born into the prestigious Blade Lineage in the Kitakami Wilds. As a young Pawniard, he lived in his family's fortified castle, presiding over a city governed by the shogunate—his father, GuntÅ the Kingambit, being the shogun. Much like his brother, Blade, Knife was highly respected by the neighboring villagers due to his rank in the hierarchy. Many preferred Knife over his brother because of his kindness and generosity toward others. However, things were not so kind to young Knife. Considered a "runt" among the imperial army, he was often bullied by other Pawniard, who called him "weak" and a "disgrace to the clan." This was due to Knife's inability to take down the prey the packs were assigned and often needing his brother or the head Bisharp to rescue him from threats such as Tinkatuff.
Knife led a solitary life growing up, often painting pictures and reading Monogatari (Tales) and Nikki (Diaries/Poetic Journals), even keeping a personal journal detailing his thoughts and wishes to become a good warrior like his brother. Knife did not like being cooped up inside every day, so he often ventured out and took walks through the village. Once he was older and stronger, he explored other parts of Kitakami and even traveled by plane to Pokémon-friendly locations.
Sometimes his brother, Blade, would accompany him, mostly to ensure he was safe and didn’t get into trouble. This kept Knife from feeling completely isolated and helped with his shyness.
Eventually, Knife fell in love with Rachel the Angel, a relationship that triggered memories of a past life where he served as a melee weapon before belonging to her.
Personality
Knife is soft-spoken, polite, hesitant, and slightly awkward, but thoughtful and introspective. He is a kindhearted individual, often described as having a "heart of gold." Knife speaks in a gentle, polite, and somewhat timid manner, reflecting his kindhearted personality and sheltered upbringing within the Blade Lineage.
His empathy and capacity for forgiveness extend even to the most vile individuals, and he deeply cares for his loved ones, becoming fiercely protective of them. Knife is intelligent and creative. He is also self-aware and readily admits his faults. Despite his gentle nature, Knife harbors a dark energy. Though his intentions are good, rage can trigger frightening behavior, leading him to commit acts of violence to protect those he loves.
Knife generally uses well-mannered, articulate language. His vocabulary reflects his interests. He occasionally uses old-fashioned or poetic expressions, although he does not constantly speak as though he belongs to another era.
