TREAT: Prof. Bobo - Mystery Science Theater 3000
Two-(allegedly)-brilliant apes with rhyming names? Coincidence..? Absolutely, but boy am I glad it worked out this way!
Throughout my many Halloween Coutndowns I've given plenty of shout outs to both Powerpuff Girls and Mystery Science Theater 3000. Some even as recently as the prior year! Yet despite this I have somehow managed to totally overlook both series' respective ape antagonists. Which is odd as they're both central characters for their series!
As for the prompt I guess I could have gone in several directions. The concept of a primitive being being hyper intelligent is nothing new and while that's all well and good, for my money I have the most experience with these two, especially MST3K. Sure, they may technically both be comedic villains more often then not, but at the very least Mojo Jojo can be a legitimate threat unlike Bobo who is well...Bobo. Keep in mind, the treats don't necessarily have to be benevolent, just decidedly non-threatening.
