It occurred to me that, while a good set of antlers are certainly stylish and majestic, anthro deer might be a bit practical-minded about whether they sport them, or have them trimmed when they've finished growing for the year and have hardened. I love wearing hoodies when the weather gets cooler, and the stairs in my house don't have much head clearance! Perhaps antler sensibilities would vary across different times, places and cultures, a bit like the varying mores about men's facial hair in the real world 💜
Here, my fallow deer character is having his lovely big antlers cut down to size with the help of my pine marten and certainly looking forward to being able to wear hats and hoodies for a change of pace. I'm sure the antlers will be crafted into all sorts of fun objects as a memento.
It's a fun thought! Since antlers fall off withouth intervention I don't see it being a regular thing, but maybe is requiered for some jobs (in tight places).
Picture is amazing, I love it.

It's a fun thought, a deer character keeping items made from each year's antler shed as mementos. He even had one antler turned into a spanking paddle ;3
