"The rainbow eel"
Diving deep, deep down into the ocean, where the water pressure would be painful to most and would certainly ruin his phone if it weren't for a protective enchantment on it, Nasir was in search of a monster he'd heard was in the area. And sure enough, he found it in just a single dive! They sort of looked like a huge pale blue eel, their head about triple the size of his own, with shifting rainbow-colored fins and axolotl-gill-like protrusions. They didn't seem hostile or anything at all... In fact, they were worried they'd scare Nasir, but said bird enjoyed interacting with odd creatures too much for that to be the case. The two quickly became friends, and while the monster didn't understand what Nasir meant when he asked for a "selfie", they went along with it once he'd described it, though they were still a little confused.
After a while of being together, Nasir was running a bit low on breath... But, the monster had a solution! Looking straight at him, their eyes glowed, and Nasir's lungs were eased as the air he was holding in them was refreshed! One of the monster's gold eyes dimmed after that, and they explained they could only do that magic a few times a day. The bird just grew even more curious about the creature that wasn't really a monster to him any more, and wondered if that oxygen restoration had been a natural magic ability or a proper spell that he'd be able to learn...
