"Between classes"

Lenn's got an interesting problem that he didn't know he had for a long time: Because he started out as a feral dolphin that eventually became able to turn anthro, he'd never gone to school! Once that finally occurred to him, he figured it was high time he did that, and got himself enrolled in a school that would take adults and was focused around aquatic students.

That school was quite different from the ones he'd previously seen in media; for one thing, it was in the ocean near a reef, and was nearly entirely filled with water! It'd take just about anyone despite that, even non-aquatics, though people without gills or long breath holds were discouraged from enrolling. Its multiple floors could be easily traversed by simply swimming, though there were stairs for those who couldn't swim, and there was an important extra rule about the place: No matter what, if someone who breathes air badly needs to do so, they cannot be prevented from getting air, either from one of the common air pockets (Which most classrooms have, in addition to plenty in the halls) or an "air fountain", something that was sort of like a water fountain but dispensed air.

So far, it's been going better for Lenn than he'd expected, despite needing to hold his breath a large portion of his time there. Right now he's getting some supplies he'll need for his next class - all waterproof, of course - before he'll be heading off there. Wonder what's coming up next?

squirtlerocks07 and I did an RP based on this.

S: its Monday morning, and for most kids it would mean its time to go to school, well thats applies to a certain anthro dolphin named Lenn as well, whos an adult, since he never got the chance to go to school he decided to sign up for one thats around adults and aquatic creatures. He was just about ready to head off to the school just off the coast of a beach, when he notices a wartortle was standing by the water, hes wearing a backpack on his shell, a pair of goggles over his eyes, and is shivering as they seem to be really scared at the moment, it seems pretty clear as to where this wartortle was going

L: Lenn stops next to the wartortle, seeing how scared they are... "You okay? You look like you're going to be heading to that underwater school... I don't blame you for being worried about school, I'm kind of nervous myself."

S: the wartortle looks up at Lenn and nods, still shivering a bit

"Y-yeah... my parents made me sign up for this underwater school, even tho I dont really want to. Between you and me, I havent been in the water in years, i dont even like it to be honest with you... but here I am...this is my first day here..."

L: "...A water type that doesn't like water, huh... Anyway, it's not gonna be a big deal, right? It may be kind of deep down, but I'm sure you've got a good breath hold, and I've heard there's plenty of spots to get air down there, so it'll be fine."

S: "Good breath hold? Nah, I havent had to hold my breath in a while, so who knows if im gonna be good at that, I dont like that I have to dive deep to get to it either, t-this whole thing is stressing me out! Oh and um, my name is Wesley by the way...in case your wondering"

L: "I'm Lenn. We may as well head down together, maybe that'll help you feel better. I might actually be able to swim faster than you too if it's really been so long since you were in water, so you can hold onto me to speed this up if you want."

S: "...well, I did say I havent swam in a while, I guess letting it be a fast swim would help, but im still really nervous..."

L: "Once we're in the school you'll probably feel better... And hey, you'll probably make some new friends once you're there, too!"

S: "I doubt it...once they learn that a water type is afraid of the water, they are just gonna start teasing me... ugh!! I really dont wanna do this"

L: "I'll make sure nobody teases you, I'm not gonna stand for that. I probably have more reason to be embarrassed than you do anyway, I've never actually been to school in my life before."

S: "Wait...really?? You've never once been to school? Wow... I guess knowing that makes me feel a bit better... were not so different from each other after all"

L: "Yeah, things were kind of weird when I was young... But, now I'll be able to fix that, and maybe you'll end up changing your mind about water too."

S: "Yeah I doubt that, as much as I don't really wanna do this and im still scared...I can't keep delaying this anymore, we dont wanna be late, especially since its my first day and all"

L: "Gotta give a good first impression, yeah. We should get going." Lenn starts getting into the water.

S: Wesley was hesitant for a moment before he too goes into the water with Lenn, trying to put on a brave face

L: "Okay, apparently we'll know the school when we see it, so we can probably just dive whenever and head straight for it." Lenn starts swimming on the surface, occasionally looking underwater.

S: "I did see a picture of what the school looked like, so yeah... ugh, I really dont wanna dive tho..."

L: "Not like we've got much choice... Maybe there'll be a submarine to act as a bus someday, but for now we have to just swim. I doubt it'll take long to get into the place though."

S: Wesley sighs

"Yeah hopefully they incorporate that for people like me who are nervous"

he tries to delay this as much as possible

L: Lenn checks underwater one more time, oblivious to Wesley's failing attempt to delay. "Ah, think I see the school. Come on, get a deep breath and we'll start going down to it."

S: "Oh no, is it time already??"

Wesley whines, you can tell he wants nothing to do with being underwater after so long

L: "Yep, we need to get started at some point. Just try not to think about it too much... You'll probably start feeling better after a while of being in the school, it might not feel so deep down."

S: "I dont know about that, but i guess I have to stop delaying this any further...I'm really really nervous but I have to do it"

L: "Try your best to relax, if something somehow goes wrong I'll help you back to the surface. Get some deep breaths, then we'll start our dive."

S: "Fine..."

with Wesley still really nervous he starts to do some deep breathing to get ready

L: Lenn does so as well, even though he figures he'll probably be fine. After a little while, he figures it's time to go. "Okay, I hope you're at least mostly ready. I'll do a countdown, then we'll both dive."

S: "O-ok, im gonna try my best...but no guarantees if I do well or not"

L: "Just focus on staying calm... 3, 2, 1, go!" Lenn dives underwater.

S: Wesley looks down at the water, shaking his head as he couldnt bring himself to go down, but knowing he doesnt have a choice he just decided to get it over with as he takes a deep breath, holds it as tight as possible before he finally submerges, shutting his eyes for a moment too

L: Lenn smiles at Wesley, glad they've gone under. "Alright, hold onto me and I'll get us both down to the school. We'll find some air once we're there, then we'll get started with classes. Hope we've got the same ones!"

S: "Me too..." Wesley quickly grabs a hold of Lenn's fin, whimpering out bubbles as he really doesnr like being down here

L: With Wesley holding onto him, Lenn starts swimming down toward the school. There's plenty of other aquatic people around that seem to be heading there as well, most of them having gills, though there's a good few that seem to be holding their breath as well.

S: Wesley slowly gets more and more nervous the further they go underwater, constantly whining out bubbles as his face was red

L: "We're about halfway, hang in there a little longer..." Lenn tries to rush, and hopes there'll be air close to the entrance of the school once he and Wesley get inside.

S: Wesley looks up at the surface and fear was all over his face, the poor pokemon seemed to hate being so far down...but he knows he has to keep going and just hope theres air soon

L: The entrance of the school is getting pretty close! Lenn keeps heading for it, and there's a sign near it mentioning that there's an air pocket just inside. "Okay, there's air coming up, we'll both get to breathe in just a few more seconds!"

S: "Well hurry up! I don't like feeling my lungs burn!"

Wesley's face is fully red as he covers his mouth

L: Lenn swims into the entrance, bringing Wesley with him, and sure enough there's an air pocket right above, which he doesn't hesitate to head up into. "Made it! Are you okay?"

S: Wesley gasps heavily, coughing a bit as he turns to Lenn

"Y-yeah, im ok now... my goodness this is so deep underwater...I really dont like this..."

L: "At least you were able to make it here... Man, this place is cool already! I hope both of us are going to end up being okay being down here for another few hours."

S: "Few hours?? Jeez... this is really gonna be rough on me... I'm honestly hoping we have the same classes together, I dont know if i can last without you by my side, I definitely need a swim buddy if im gonna make it through all this"

L: "It's not gonna go well if I'm not with you for all of this, yeah... Let's get to our first classes and hope they're the same one, we're already a bit late."

S: Wesley sighs heavily

"I don't wanna go back under... that was such a stressful trip to get down here..."

L: "We can't exactly stay here, we'll get in trouble eventually for skipping class... Even if we didn't, we'll have to leave eventually. Come on, it'll be best to just face it."

S: Wesley complains even further, tearing up a little

"No! I-i can't! I don't wanna drown! I just can't do it Lenn! Besides I dont know where my classes are..."

L: "There's going to be plenty more air around, you'll be fine! Although I don't know where my classes are either... I'm sure there's a schedule somewhere we can check, and I doubt it's far."

S: "Ugh, alright alright...but look you better hope nobody will make fun of me for being a water type that doesnt like the water...I got bullied alot in my last school because of that, like a lot a lot....which is why I'm scared of not only this school but being underwater even more now... im sorry for stalling us, I truly am"

L: "I don't blame you for stalling, if that's how it used to be. Try not to make it obvious to anyone that you're not a fan of water... But I'll keep people off your back if that gets out. And maybe don't mention I've never been to school before, that probably wouldn't be good either."

S: "I dont know how im gonna do that when fear is clearly on my face, but yeah ill be sure to not tell anyone that youve never been to school"

L: "We'll just pretend you're nervous about coming to a new school, that should work. Anyway, let's get ready again and go figure out where our classes are..." Lenn starts deeply breathing again.

S: "I dont wanna, but fine"

Wesley starts to deeply breathe as well

L: After a little while, Lenn is ready. "Okay, and 3, 2, 1, go." He dives back underwater.

S: after whining a little, Wesley also holds his breath and dives back under too, whimpering out some bubbles when he did

L: "Alright, now where do we look... Any ideas? You'd probably have an easier time finding it than I would, haven't exactly done this before."

S: "Hmm...well usually on the first day of school back at my old one they would just give you your schedule of classes at like the front desk, if we can find that, then we should be able to get to where we need to go, hopefully..."

its clear Wesley was a bad breath holder since after speaking that, his face turns a little red

L: "That makes sense, let's go see if we can find that. I'm sure there'll be a sign or something somewhere." Lenn starts swimming to search, looking for where the front desk might be.

S: Wesley follows, trying to look around as he pinches his nose shut, letting out some whines every now and then, eventually they find it

"I-i think thats it!"

L: "Oh, yep, that seems right! Okay, we'll grab our class schedules, then get some air, then finally get to class." Lenn looks for his schedule.

S: "Alright..."

Wesley then looks for their names and finally sees it

"Aha, here we go, oh I hope we have the same classes!"

he grabs his schedule then hands Lenn his

L: "Let's see what we've got..." Lenn looks through his schedule, reading off what his classes are.

S: Wesley does the same, listing off his own classes as well while his face turns more red

L: And... Every single one matches! "Oh, sweet, we share all of our classes! That's awesome!"

S: "Oh thank arceus, maybe this wont be so bad after all if were together, mmm! But first lets get air before were even more late for our first class"

Wesley immediately swims back to the air pocket

L: Lenn follows him there, catching his breath as he'd been starting to blush a little. "Yeah, this is gonna be way better for both of us! Otherwise I'd be constantly worrying about how you're doing..."

S: Wesley catches his breath too

"Right, yeah... im so glad we have the same classes together...that honestly makes me feel a little less nervous, but I still am worried about pushing myself..."

L: "I've heard you're always allowed to get air here, but sometimes only if you're getting low on breath... It should be fine, I doubt you'll have to push yourself very much."

S: "I hope not... im not good at breath holding at all... anyways, lets just go to our first class already before I get more nervous"

Wesley starts deeply breathing again

L: "Hopefully listening to the teacher will help get your mind off being scared..." Lenn starts taking deep breaths once more too.

S: "I doubt it..."

eventually Wesley feels like he's ready

"No countdown this time, im just gonna go for it..."

he takes a last breath and dives back under once again

L: Lenn dives down as well after one more breath of his own. "You're already doing better, you didn't need the countdown! Now, I'm pretty sure our class is this way..." Lenn starts swimming down one of the halls.

S: Wesley pinches his nose shut again and follows Lenn down the hall, trying to stay calm, it was really hard for him to tho as little whines of fear escape him

L: Thankfully it's a fairly short swim for the two to get to the door of the classroom. "Alright, hopefully we haven't missed anything important..." Lenn opens the door to head in.

S: "Y-yeah"

Wesley heads in as well, feeling really nervous now as he tries to keep his air in

L: The teacher here is an anthro shark, and while he'd been in the middle of saying something, he pauses for a moment as the two come in. "And you two must be Lenn and Wesley, right? You came just in time, I was about to mark you two as absent."

Lenn: "Sorry about that, we had a bit of trouble getting here..." He heads to a free desk and sits at it.

S: "Mmhm..."

Wesley sits at the other free desk, putting his backpack on his chair, shivering a bit with fear of being submerged

a couple of the students were whispering something to each other as they watched Wesley all scared and stuff, and were starting to wonder why, but it was slowly becoming obvious to them why he's scared and they started quietly giggling

L: The teacher hasn't yet noticed, having gone back to teaching.

Lenn glares over at the students that are giggling at Wesley, hoping they'll stop.

S: but they didnt even see Lenn glaring or they just didnt care as they kept giggling as Wesley was looking around his underwater surroundings with fear

one of them, an anthro orca, quietly whispers to his friends, but makes it obvious to Wesley that he can hear them

Orca - "There's no doubt in my mind that the wartortle over there is scared of the water, I mean come on look at him hes shaking like a leaf! What kind of water type is scared of the water? Ha!"

that caused poor Wesley to whimper out bubbles, this is exactly what he was afraid of, being bullied again as his face is already red from whining so much

L: Lenn whispers over to them. "Shut up, he just really doesn't like being around so many people he doesn't know, that's all..."

S: "Sure it is, I dont think thats the case, I know fear of water and thats all the signs right there"

Poor Wesley was tearing up from the bullying and couldnt focus on the lesson

L: Managing to make out that people are whispering to each other, but not what's being said, the teacher turns to look out at the students. "Is something happening that I'm missing here?"

Lenn: "People are making fun of Wesley for looking scared..."

S: "Yeah, because hes a water type! And water types arent supposed to be scared of the water, but look at the guy he's terrifed, and its hilarious!"

Wesley - "S-stop bullying me!"

Wesley's face turns more red as bubbles escape from him, clearly still very upset

Orca - "Ha! And hes a bad breath holder? Woow"

L: Shark: "Oh, everyone get off his back, it's not a big deal. I know a charizard that's so terrified of fire he sometimes can't even look at his own tail flame, and I don't consider him any lesser for that, so what's the problem here?"

Lenn: "He just hasn't gotten much practice with breath holding, you'd be having trouble too if you didn't swim much!"

S: "Oh shut up, I hate dolphins! You shouldnt even be here! And this wartortle here is a stupid one for not liking the water, he should love it, not hate it! And im sure i could probably drown him in less then 5 minutes"

Wesley - "NO DON'T!!!!"

Wesley panics as he covers his mouth, his face fully red

L: Lenn: "You literally ARE a kind of dolphin!"

Shark: "That's ENOUGH! I don't know what the issue all of you have is, but I'm not having bullying in my classroom!"

S: Orca - "...I mean I dont like your kind of dolphins!! Oh whatever!!! I'm just gonna get that wartortle later and show them the true meaning of being underwater and why he should actually like it instead of being a big baby about it! He should get to inhale water!

Wesley - "Please stop!!!"

Wesley covers his eyes, shivering in fear as his face goes blue now from all the crazy bullying from the orca

L: Lenn: "I'm not gonna let that happen! Um..." He looks over at the teacher. "Is it alright if we step out for a bit?"

Shark: "If you think it'll help, go ahead. Haven't seen bullying this bad in a while..."

S: Wesley immediately swims out of the classroom, his face gone fully blue as he looks around for air desperately

the orca glares at Wesley at he goes, then points to his eyes then at Lenn's

Orca - "What a baby, cant even handle a classroom underwater"

L: Lenn growls at the orca while following Wesley. "We'll find some way to get back at you..."

While there's no air pocket close by, nearby there's what sort of looks like a water fountain, with markings on it denoting that it's actually a source of air.

S: Wesley didnt know that those markings ment there was a source of air in the water fountain, continuing to cover his mouth as his face goes purple, whining loudly as he was close to drowning!

L: Lenn: "Oh jeez, where's air..." He notices the air fountain and points it out to Wesley. "There, you can get air from that! Use it like you would a water fountain, it'll blow out big bubbles you can breathe!"

S: Wesley quickly swims over to the air fountain and tries to use it like he would a water fountain. A big bubble comes out of it and he immediately inhales it and his face returns to normal

Wesley - "Phew...that was close...I thought i wasnt gonna push myself like this... ugh!!"

by the time Wesley could finish his sentence, the bell rings and the first class of the day is now over

L: "We definitely just got unlucky that time..." Lenn takes a bubble from the fountain and inhales it himself. "That really couldn't have been much worse, we can't let that happen again."

S: "Yeah...i-i hope our next class has students that dont make fun of me this time... cause if I get bullied again, I dont know how much more I can take of this"

Wesley then soon swims off to find their next class

L: "I'm sure it'll be fine this time..." Lenn swims along with Wesley.

S: eventually the two reach their next class on time thankfully, this time around the next teacher was an Empoleon, who looks at Lenn and Wesley as they arrive with a smile

Empoleon - "Ah hello, you two must be the new guys, class lets give a big warm welcome to Lenn and Wesley"

L: There's a bit of applause for the two of them as Lenn swims to sit at an empty desk. "Hi. Go easy on us, neither of us have been to an underwater school before."

S: Wesley - "Mmhm..."

Wesley sits down at an empty desk as well, whining a bit as he's worried what might happen this time, still looking scared of being down here as he tries to keep holding his breath, his lungs getting a bit tired as he whimpers

Empoleon - "Don't worry about it, my class has the nicest students, I'm sure youll get acquainted with them rather quickly, and as long as you've got a descent breath hold, you'll be a-ok!"

they then start a lecture of a lesson they are working on

L: Lenn gives Wesley a thumbs-up, as this class seems like it'll probably go a lot better.

Other students are noticing how scared Wesley seems, but this time they're not teasing him or anything!

S: Wesley was still nervous reguardless of being down here as his face already turns red, he continues to whimper as he tried his best to pay attention to the teacher

L: After a little while, an inteleon whispers over to Wesley. "Hey, don't sweat it, alright? I agree it's a little intimidating to hold your breath through a lesson, but you'll get used to it. It's not all that bad."

S: Wesley looks over at the inteleon and whispers back

"Y-your not gonna make fun of me? I'm scared of the water, badly!"

he keeps whining out bubbles as his face turns more red

L: Inteleon: "Honestly, I'm not that big a fan of water myself, I've barely done any swimming before. Always kind of wish I'd been an electric type instead..."

S: "Wait really? You don't like water either? Well, im glad im not the only one then... and honestly between you and me, I kind of wish i was born a fire type, thats how much I hate the water"

L: "You certainly dislike water as much as one would... Glad to know I'm not the only one either, I haven't told many other people what I think of water."

S: "Me neither, as a matter of fact, in my last class, some orca guy was bullying me because of me fearing water...so its kind of nice to know im not the only one..."

L: "Ugh, I know exactly who that is... That guy's always trying to make himself seem tough by making fun of people, it's annoying. Don't let him get to you, if he hadn't found out you don't like water he would've come up with something else."

S: "Seems like he's the school's bully then... oh I hope i dont run into him again, he threatened to drown me!"

L: "He's probably going to follow through on that, he's done it before... Someone ought to give him a taste of his own medicine. If I see him coming after you, I'll try to help you turn it around on him."

S: "Thanks... cause i really dont wanna drown" Wesley's face was now fully red, grunting a bit in strain

L: "Oh, and instead of pushing yourself, you could probably ask the teacher if you could go get air. I'm sure they'll be okay with it."

S: "Oh um, ok... excuse me, teacher? Can I go get some air? I need some!"

Empoleon - "Oh, of course! Go right ahead!"

Wesley didnt hesitate to swim out to go find some air to breathe in before he would come back

L: "Yep, simple as that. You can basically always ask to get air, teachers can't deny you unless it really doesn't look like you need any."

S: "Well thats good to know at least, I dont like to push myself at all, hopefully that doesn't happen again"

the bell then rings, signaling the end of this class

L: "Ah, guess that's that. Hope to see you later!" The inteleon gets up to start heading out, and so does Lenn.

S: Wesley waves goodbye before swimming over to Lenn

"So um, where our next class at buddy?"

L: Lenn: "Apparently this one's PE. I've always wanted to actually see a class like that, it sounds kind of fun."

S: "PE huh? Well that was the one class I actually enjoyed, running helped clear my mind from all the negative stuff I was dealing with, although i dont think were gonna be doing much running underwater, so we'll see what happens, come on then"

Wesley then swims off to where PE is

L: Lenn follows them, and they get to the gym before long.

This time, the teacher is a palafin. "Alright, how are you folks feeling? Ready to get some good practice with breath holding and swimming?"

S: "Wait whaaat??" Wesley was confused, did that palafin say breath holding practice? That wasnt on his to do list and he didnt like that idea

L: Lenn: "I guess I'm okay with that..."

There's mixed reactions from the other students as well.

Palafin: "Well, don't you want to be able to go longer without needing to leave for air? No better way to achieve that than to really push yourself!"

S: "I-i dont really wanna do that... I dont like pushing myself! Oh no..."

Wesley was getting worried

L: Palafin: "Now, let's start with some laps! Everyone get yourselves a fresh breath in that air pocket above, then see how many laps you can all do on one breath."

Lenn nods. "Come on, Wesley, this probably won't be that bad..."

S: "No way! I refuse to push myself! I'm not doing these stupid laps! I normally like PE, and now even down here its ruined..."

L: Lenn: "Let's at least get air first, then you kind of have to do this or you might end up in trouble..." He starts swimming up to the air pocket, where most of the class still is.

S: "Ugh!!!"

wesley was clearly complaining as he swims up to the air pocket too, gasping for air a little

right beside Wesley was a Feraligatr, who smiles at him

Feraligatr - "Hey, dont worry about it new guy ok? Palafin may love to push us pretty far, but he means well..."

that just caused wesley to gulp nervously

L: Another, a greninja, nods. "His methods aren't really the most fun sometimes, but hey, they're pretty effective! I've doubled my breath holding record thanks to him!"

S: "Same here, I would have never gotten better if it wasnt for Palafin!"

Wesley - "But I dont wanna get better... i really hate the water! I dont wanna have to push myself... I really dont wanna do these laps...I may end up just doing like 2 before i would go back..."

L: Greninja: "He probably won't be satisfied with that, he tends to not let people surface during these until they badly need air..."

Lenn: "Oof, that's kind of brutal..."

S: "You've gotta be kidding me! Ugh..."

Feraligatr - "Dont worry, ill keep a close eye on you during this whole thing to make sure your ok..."

Wesley - "That doesnt make it better...but fine"

L: Greninja: "I'm sure pretty much everyone here would be willing to help out."

Lenn: "Definitely me too. Now, um... Despite how nervous we are, we should get ready." Lenn starts deeply breathing, as does the greninja.

S: Feraligatr - "Right"

the Feraligatr starts deeply breathing as well, and while wesley didnt really want to do, he had no choice and just starts deeply breathing too

L: Lenn and the greninja are soon ready, while other students are starting to dive.

Lenn: "Guess I'll do a countdown again, you seem like you need one... 3, 2, 1, go!" He and the greninja both dive.

S: the feraligatr dives as well after a deep breath, and after hesitating some, Wesley holds his own breath and dives as well, clearly still very nervous about pushing himself

L: Greninja: "Alright, let's get to it!" He starts swimming laps around the room, and Lenn does as well.

The palafin watches everyone go. "That's it, just focus on swimming!"

S: The feraligatr swims laps around the room as well. But wesley had other plans, he did swim maybe about two laps around the room before he didnt wanna do anymore and push himself. He then tries to sneakily swim away from the group and go back to the air pocket, really not wanting to do anymore then that

L: But the palafin catches him before he can get there, holding him back. "Hang on there, you don't look like you're anywhere near done! You've still got some more laps in you!"

S: "Ughh come on! Give me a break! I really dont feel like pushing it today and doing these stupid laps! Just let me go in that air pocket"
wesley gets around the palafin to go back up towards the air pocket

L: The palafin keeps trying to block Wesley. "Not how it works here, you're never going to improve like this! You've barely even done anything!"

S: Wesley's face is already red from how bad he was at breath holding

"Listen, I dont want to improve! I dont like being underwater, period! So please just let me go!"

he gets around palafin again, really determined to get up to the air pocket

The feraligatr couldnt help but pause his laps and notice wesley trying to get around the palafin, he wasnt even red yet but he watches everything play out, getting really concerned. Serveral other students also pause their laps to watch

L: Lenn and the greninja both stop to watch too.

The palafin still manages to block Wesley from getting to the air pocket, more agile in the water than them. "We're kind of making a scene here... Look, just at least do a few more laps, then you can surface, alright?"

S: "No!! Ugh..."

wesley still tries to get to the air pocket, whimpering out bubbles before he just gives up

The feraligatr couldnt take it anymore and speaks up to wesley

Feraligatr - "Hey! Its gonna be ok buddy! You can swim next to me and ill help you stay calm! Promise!"

all wesley could do was look over at the feraligatr with a sad expression, still unsure

L: Lenn and the greninja call out to him as well.

Greninja: "I'll try to help you out too!"

Lenn: "Same here, I think being in a group will help!"

S: wesley shakes his head, but knowing the palafin won't let him up to get air yet, he regretfully swims back to everyone to do some more laps, even tho he really doesnt want to

L: Lenn pats Wesley's head when they come back. "Just find something else to focus on, alright?"

Greninja: "Might help a little if you try to take out your frustration by swimming faster."

S: the feraligatr pats Wesley's head as well and gives him a smile

Feraligatr - "Hey thats not a bad idea!"

Wesley - "..I can't swim all that fast, but... maybe ill help... cause im really frustrated right now"

wesley then starts to swim some laps, going much faster then before, its not all that fast but its enough to keep him distracted, growling out bubbles in anger as he does. The feraligatr matches his pace easily and stays side by side with him, making sure hes ok

L: Lenn and the greninja swim alongside Wesley as well, watching to make sure he doesn't end up getting too scared again. Both are happy to see that the greninja's idea has helped out.

S: eventually, as Wesley's face turns a bit blue, his determination has worn off and is brought back to reality as he covers his mouth, stops where hes at and whines, already managing to do about 6 more laps from the frustration boost

"Ok, i-i cant go anymore then that, i wanna go breathe now!"

wesley rushes back towards the air pocket, the feraligatr's face is flushing red now too, and even he was starting to get a little uncomfortable

Feraligatr - "Hopefully thats enough to satisfy palafin then..."

L: The palafin gives Wesley a nod as they go for the air pocket. "Not so bad, right? Good work." This time, he lets them go get air.

Lenn and the greninja both have red faces now too, but smile as Wesley head for the air pocket.

S: wesley immediately surfaces and gasps for breath heavily as he does

Wesley - "Oh thank arceus thats over! I hated that!"

the feraligatr decided he had enough too and goes for the air pocket too, mainly to check on wesley

Feraligatr - "Please let me go in there too, I wanna make sure wesley is doing ok...im worried about him..."

L: Lenn: "I want to check on him too, if that's alright."

Palafin: "Normally I wouldn't allow it, but I'm kind of concerned about him myself... Go ahead, and let me know how he's doing when you come back."

Lenn nods, and heads for the air pocket.

S: the feraligatr heads for the air pocket too, and the two soon surface, with the feraligatr gasping a bit for air

Feraligatr - "Hey buddy, you alright?"

Wesley - "Y-yeah...im fine..."

he was clearly sad, PE was taking a toll on him mentally, along with the bullying from eariler, this first day is not going well for him at all

L: Lenn gasps some as well. "Sorry none of this has really worked out, I've been doing my best to make this better for you..."

S: "Well nothing is working! I'm about ready to just call it a day and get outta here, I hate this! Im definitely gonna be complaining to my parents after this. I hope PE is at least over soon"

Feraligatr - "First days are usually pretty rough so I get it, mine was rough too... I got pushed to my limit too many times..."

L: "We're at least most of the way through the day now, there won't be a whole lot more you'll have to put up with... Let's hope you can get some scuba gear or something for future days..."

S: Wesley - "Highly doubt that, but we'll see, anyways lets just head back down, im sure the bells gonna ring any second"

Feraligatr - "Right"

both of them take some deep breaths before diving underwater, Wesley hesitating a little as usual as he did

L: And not long after, just as Wesley had predicted, the bell goes off.

Palafin: "Alright, that's that! Everyone get some well-deserved breaths, and head off to wherever you're going next!"

The greninja starts swimming for the air pocket, passing Lenn and Wesley on the way. "See you guys!"

S: Feraligatr - "Thats our cue, take care new guy ok?"

with a smile the Feraligatr leaves before wesley turns to lenn

Wesley - "Before our next starts, lets go get some supplies from our lockers, I think we might need them"

L: Lenn: "Right, we should probably do that, think I remember the next class looking like one where we'll need some stuff..." He swims from the room, heading for his locker.

S: wesley does the same, the two soon getting to some lockers, conviently both of theirs are next to each other, but as Wesley opens his own locker to grab something, the orca bully from before slams the locker closed on him and glares

Orca - "Remember me?? Your in for a rough time now wartortle!"

Wesley - "Ahhh!!! Not you again!!!!"

L: Lenn tries to get between Wesley and the orca. "I don't know what your deal with him is, but I'm not gonna let you mess with him!"

S: the orca just shoves Lenn out of the way, growling out bubbles at him

Orca - "Back up dolphin! This doesnt concern you! Now...time for the action!"

the orca grabs Wesley and squeezes the air out of his lungs hard, and it immediately causes Wesley to panic as his face is now blue in a matter of seconds! Wesley tries to break free but the orca's grip was too strong!

Wesley - "BLBLBLBL!!!!! HELP!!!!"

L: "No, leave him alone, he's gonna drown!" Lenn tries to free Wesley, but he's not able to do anything either.

S: Orca - "Hahahaha!!! Thats the point! He needs to stop being a baby about the water!!"

the orca keeps squeezing air out of Wesley, his face now purple from all the air loss and he gets close to drowning already, he tears up as he struggles in the orca's grip, he just prays for a miracle at this point that somebody will come help him

Wesley - "Please....help!!! Somebody!!!! PLEASE!!!!"

L: As he yells that out, the inteleon from earlier happens to be coming by and sees what's happening! "HEY, stop it! Get off of him!" He joins in on trying to help Wesley get away.

S: and the feraligatr from the PE class happens to see whats going on too, and he gets angry before rushing over

Feraligatr - "Knock it off you stupid orca! Let go of my friend!!!"

he joins in to help, trying his best to get the orca's arms off of wesley, he even bites down on the orca's arm which makes the orca yelp a bit in pain, but he keeps his grip on wesley

Orca - "Owww! Get away! This doesnt concern any of you!"

Wesley is 10 seconds away from inhaling water, he doesnt say anything anymore, all his focus is on trying to keep his remaining air in

L: Even the greninja from the PE class joins in on helping out Wesley, as a crowd of other people watching is starting to form. "I'm sick of you hurting people like this, YOU'RE the one that needs to drown!"

S: Feraligatr - "Yeah! You disgust me!"

everyone keeps trying to pry away the orca's arms, but unfortunately, wesley couldnt hold his breath any longer and starts to inhale the water around, immediately starting to choke on it, which causes the feraligatr to almost gasp the water in shock and worry, now he was REALLY angry and really trying to let wesley escape

Orca - "Finally! Hes drowning! Hahaha!!!!"

L: Lenn: "Crap, no!" He, the inteleon, and the greninja all put everything they've got into getting Wesley out of the orca's grip.

S: the feraligatr put everything into getting wesley out of the orca's grip too, and by some miracle they finally get the orca's hands away from wesley, with the feraligatr shoving him far away and growling. Wesley was still inhaling water, his eyes starting to droop closed

Orca - "Hey! I was in the middle of that!"

Feraligatr - "Ok we gotta hurry, we gotta get him to an air pocket, NOW!"

L: Lenn: "I've got him, you guys show that orca who's boss!" Lenn grabs Wesley and covers their mouth so they don't breathe more water, while quickly swimming off to the nearest air pocket.

The inteleon glares at the orca. "I've been really looking forward to getting back at you one of these days..."

Greninja: "Same here, if we have to drown you to get you to stop then that's what we're gonna do!"

S: "Exactly! We're gonna get you so badly for this!

Orca - "Hmmph! You can't drown me! Im way too fast of a swimmer for either of you to keep up! So, bye!"

the orca swims away at a high speed, leaving the group behind in the bubbles

wesley meanwhile tries his best to hang in there, but his eyes end up closing and was starting to lose consciousness

L: Lenn keeps following signs to head for the nearest air pocket, with one soon coming into view. "Almost there, stay awake just a little longer..."

S: wesley could only open his eyes a little to look at Lenn, trying his best to stay awake, but it was slowly growing hard to do so

L: And finally, just in time, Lenn surfaces into the air pocket, gasping a bit while starting to try to help Wesley get all the water out of them.

S: it took a minute for wesley to realize hes above water before suddenly coughing out a lot of water and gasping in the air very heavily, tears still lurking in his eyes as he catches his breath slowly but surely before eventually speaking

Wesley - "Hah...hah...hah...that...is the last straw! I wanna go home!!! Ive had it!"

L: "I don't blame you, this has kind of sucked so far... That stupid orca made this so much worse... Do you want to try to just sneak out early?"

S: "As much as it might get me in trouble, i dont care anymore, I think theres only like 2 classes left anyways... I just wanna get outta here"

L: "Alright, I'll help you to the surface. I'll probably come back down here after though, I don't want to get in trouble myself... And I want to see that orca get what's coming to him."

S: thats when Wesley realizes something

"Wait... come on, I dont want to be alone up there, if my parents find out I skipped school they will literally end me! I have to find somewhere to stay until the end of the school day, and your my only friend that I trust"

L: "I guess that'd probably be for the best... And two people skipping school because of bullying ought to get the people in charge to actually do something about it, too. Okay, I'll stay with you and we can hang out at my place for as long as we need to."

S: "Really? Thanks buddy... as much as im in no condition to go back underwater tho... but I know i dont have a choice, im just gonna have to deal with it, and hope that orca gets what he deserves... lets just get going..."

L: "One last dive for the day, then we can just relax... Get ready." Lenn starts deeply breathing once more.

S: Wesley starts deeply breathing as well, hopefully for the last time

L: "Okay, and 3, 2, 1..." Lenn dives again, hoping Wesley will do the same so the two can get going right away.

S: wesley hesitates just a little before he too holds his breath and dives underwater, whining out bubbles as his lungs were really tired

L: "This at least shouldn't take long..." Lenn starts leading the way to the exit of the building.

S: wesley follows Lenn, hoping nothing will try to stop them, he wa bubbling out air a lot with how tired he is, so his face was already red

L: Thankfully nobody in charge sees the two, and the orca is nowhere to be found as well, and Lenn and Wesley both get outside without any issues, then begin swimming up toward the surface.

S: Wesley was relieved there wasnt any more drama, he holds onto Lenn's back since he was too tired to actually swim back up, covering his mouth with one hand as his face turns more red

"Hurry Lenn, I dont feel like drowning a 2nd time... my lungs are so tired i can barely hold my breath right now"

L: "Try to just focus on holding your breath, I'll get both of us up." Lenn is a little bit slower carrying Wesley, but he's still managing a good pace.

S: Wesley tries to focus everything hes got into holding his breath, his face fully red already and almost blue as he whines loudly, making it clear he doesnt wanna drown again

L: Hearing that whining, Lenn tries to swim up faster, hoping he'll be able to reach the surface in time... It's getting relatively close, at least.

S: "Lenn, im serious...I dont want to drown again!! Please!! Dont let it happen again!"

he shuts his eyes as bubbles constantly escape his mouth, even tho hes actively trying to keep it in, he just prays the two will make it before its too late

L: "I-I'm trying, I'm not used to carrying people!" Lenn's swimming as fast as he can now, doing his best to keep Wesley from risking drowning again.

S: Wesley's face goes fully blue as he gets really scared now, but the surface was probably less then a few feet away by now thankfully

L: And in just a couple more seconds, the two finally surface! Lenn exhales, not yet having been under any strain, while he keeps Wesley above the surface. "Finally! You alright?"

S: wesley gasps heavily, coughing a little

"Hah...hah...hah...phew...that was close... I really am done with the water for today...lets get outta here already"

L: "Even I could use a break after all this... It'll be nice to finally have some fun when we get to my place." Lenn starts bringing Wesley toward the shore.

S: When the two get to shore, wesley gets off lenn's back and looks back at them

"Where do you live by the way?"

L: "I have a waterfront house that's just off the beach, not too far from here. It's a pretty nice place, I think you're going to like it."

S: "Oh really? That sounds really nice... I'm looking forward to spending some time with you Lenn, and I appreciate you helping me out... you're a good friend"

Wesley gives Lenn a big hug, smiling up at him a little

L: "So are you! I thought I was going to have some trouble getting used to that school, and... Well, I definitely did, but you helped a lot!" Lenn hugs Wesley back.

S: "Aww thanks bud, I tried my best for you, anyways..shall we head over to your place then? Lead the way and ill follow"

L: "Yep, just come with me!" Lenn starts leading Wesley to his home, looking forward to spending the rest of the day with them.
