"Wrong type in the right place"
Cirrus made an interesting discovery while floating about in the ocean one day - quite a big deal, considering how long he's been around! Down on the seabed, there was a herd of Pokemon he immediately recognized as ponyta and rapidash, but they were different from any he'd seen before, with blue skin and the usual fires replaced with bubbles... They were water types somehow! Cirrus dove down to meet them and see if they'd be willing to answer some questions, which some thankfully were.
According to them, they could run along the seabed better than they could on land, the average speeds that both Pokemon could normally get only being possible for them underwater. The ponyta tended to have a breath hold of about an hour, and the rapidash could go several hours. The bubbles on them were breathable too, though were made with what air they were holding. Cirrus decided he'd hang out with the herd for a while, watching them, before one wanted to show off their speed to him. Despite it likely not being comparable to his own, he was still interested, and held onto them to breathe from one of their bubbles while they reared back and prepared to start running.
