For a character i've adored since I saw her on my VHS copy of the movie when I was a child, I really haven't drawn Olivia much at all, and that's a damn shame. She's stupidly cute.
She is at that! Amazingly cute! And even moreso in your style! *bats a floofy paw at that ghost hand* But come on now, don't tease the cute little mousie like that! That's not nice!

Oh yeah I use myself as a reference all the time lol. Anytime there's a pose or hand or something I struggle with or struggle to find a good ref for, I just sigh and do it myself Thanos style.

These sorts of things now are almost unheard of outside of art and very small indie things that don't need a bunch of profit, much less a ton of public buy in. I like the human/girl mouse interactions and just the suggestive tone presented but the cuteness too. She's a kid after all and likely to quite enjoy interactions between a human and her. Mice and rats as pets overall once they warm up are very loving and affectionate. Not for everyone tho.

That's the biggest thing. It can pop up in animals that see the vet, get good food, attentive owners, etc and it's heart breaking then. I couldn't do it myself.

Yup. Only had my cat for four years before cancer came for her. My point is that I'm not good with heartbreak, whether it be 4 years or fourteen. At least with the latter, there's hope for a long life. :(

There is something that bothers me commonly in media is holding mice by their tails, since it's extremely painful for the poor rodents to be in. No offence to the commissioner, it's probably something like cartoon logic where it's not as painful as it looks but have you noticed stuff like that bothers you personally like it gives the incorrect message to the viewers on handling mice/rats?
Really cute Olivia draws! There is something that bothers me commonly in media is holding mice by t
Hmm I wouldn't say so personally, but I generally have a good handle of fiction vs reality myself. There's a lot that can be done in cartoons that can't or shouldn't be done irl. Though I get what you're saying and how you feel, to me drawings are drawings. I mean animals shouldn't be smashed with hammers either, but that doesn't stop Bugs Bunny.
Thankya! Hmm I wouldn't say so personally, but I generally have a good handle of fiction vs reality
