What's all this then? While skulking, Mark seems to have an almost halucinatory projection of his own conscience. The Lone Wolf (normally, a cartoon that Mark draws) manifests the positivity that Mark lacks: assertiveness, warmth, honesty, personal strength. Can Mark use this projective 'external self-image' as an illusory coach to achieve some sort of balance in his life? Or is this just more of 'Mark going nuts in this nuthouse'?
