Episode 55: Unexpected escape
When they get out of the ventilation shaft, Anna pouncing on Cooper, catching him by surprise.
He yelped as the wolf puppy tackled him to the ground, his tail between his legs.
"Don't move!" Anna snarled, pointing her gun at the fox's trembling snout.
But suddenly, Cooper kicking Anna with his hind legs, breaking free from her grasp.
He dashed away, his sleek fur glistening in the emergency lights that had kicked in as the alarm blared through the power plant.
Anna grunted and jumped to her paws, her eyes narrowed in determination. She was not going to let him get away that easily.
Suddenly, Cooper tripped over a loose cable, sending him skidding across the floor. Anna took the opportunity to pounce again, pinning him down with her strong, furry body.
Cooper squirmed underneath her, his eyes wide with fear.
"Let me go, you wolf brat!" Cooper snarled, his eyes flashing with defiance as he struggled beneath Anna's weight.
"I won't let you go anywhere, annoying fox... You have to pay what your owner does to me... Now you have to pay for it," Anna growled, her teeth bared as she pinned Cooper down, her eyes gleaming with anger.
"Look behind you... Jerony there!!!" Cooper shouted, his voice filled with false terror.
Anna turn her head to look behind her, and in that split second of distraction, Cooper took his chance.
With a swift movement, he slipped out from under her and dashed away, his nimble paws carrying him swiftly down the corridor.
"You tricked me again, Cooper!!!!" Anna snarled, her eyes flashing with more anger as she took off after him again.
But the fox was too fast for her, his agility allowing him to weave and dodge through the narrow spaces between the machinery.
But suddenly, Cooper's run stopped as he saw Maxtone blocking his path, his jet engines deactivated, and a stern look on his face.
"Going somewhere, old annoying friend?" Maxtone growled, his teeth bared.
Cooper skidded to a halt, his eyes darting around frantically for an escape route.
Coincidentally, who knows where, all the puppies of The Pups Gang had gathered, surrounding Cooper in a semi-circle.
Luna and Hershell had caught up, their eyes gleaming with the excitement of the chase.
"You can't go anywhere now, Cooper!!! Stay in your place!!!" Anna's voice was filled with triumph as she saw the fox trapped.
Suddenly, Cooper stood up with both of his front legs and smirked, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
"What will he do now?" Seca whispered, his tail wagging nervously.
Cooper then closed his eyes tightly and his little fox body began to quiver.
The puppies looked at each other, confused by his sudden strange behavior.
But before they could react, Cooper let out an explosive fart that echoed through the corridor.
The smell was so overpowering that it brought tears to their eyes, and they coughing.
The Pups Gang shocked as they realize that Cooper had disappeared in the chaos, his foul odor lingering in the air like a noxious cloud.
They coughed and sneezed, their eyes watering from the stench.
"What the..." Maxtone choked out, his nose wrinkling in disgust as the foul odor filled the air.
"I don't understand, Cooper is a fox or skunk?" Svara coughed, her eyes watering from the overpowering smell.
"You're right... How can he do that?" Anna's eyes scanned the area "he uses his fart as a smoke bomb to escape... So sneaky!"
Her nose twitching as she tried to pick up Cooper's scent through the overwhelming stench
"What should we do now, Anna?" Seca asked, his voice muffled by his paw over his nose.
"It's over, we've failed... Back to Master," Anna said with a hint of disappointment in her voice.
She knew they had to report back to Jerony and devise a new plan.
As they meet Jerony again, they relayed their encounter with Cooper.
"We're sorry, Master... He run away again, but this time, he escape with a very nasty trick," Anna reported, her tail drooping slightly in defeat.
"Nasty trick?!?? What do you mean, Anna?" Jerony's voice was a mix of surprise and concern, his eyes wide as he took in the group's disheveled state.
"He used his... Ugh... I can't believe I would say this" Anna took a deep breath, trying to keep her gag reflex at bay "his fart as a smoke bomb, Master... It was so nasty and powerful, we couldn't see anything... He slipped away before we could get to him."
"Ouh... I see," Jerony said, his eyes squinting in disbelief, thought of the foul odor that had aided Cooper's escape.
He knew that Cooper was clever, but this was a new low, even for him.
"Alright, pups, let's go home and figure out our next move," he instructed, his voice firm despite the absurdity of their situation.
*Time skip: back to the luxurious house of Jerony and The Pups Gang.*
That night, Anna was alone in the backyard, staring at a twinkling star.
Her thoughts swirling with anger and frustration as she thinking how could Cooper be so sneaky? How could they let him escape again?
Her mind raced with scenarios of what could happen if Cooper successfully stole the data and handed it over to Elena Rose.
Anna could not even forget the nasty trick Cooper had played on them.

"Is that your new skills, Cooper?!?? Using your farts as a weapon?!" Anna's thought was filled with a mix of anger and amusement at the same time "next time... I'll make sure, I'll really make sure... When you was about to escape, I'll make you can't fart again!"
