Episode 56: Training with Sylvex
Anna's pup-tag suddenly beeping and Jerony's voice came through the communication device, "Anna, come inside... Dinner time!"
With a sigh, she turned from her vigil and trotted back into the house. The smell of roast chicken filled the air, making her stomach rumble.
The rest of The Pups Gang was already seated at the table, their tails wagging in anticipation of their meal.
They looked up at her as she entered, their eyes full of hope for a successful mission next time.
Jerony looked at her with understanding, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry, Anna... We'll get him next time... We're a team, and we'll come up with something better."
The group of puppies nodded in agreement, their tails wagging slightly as they regained their spirits.
They sat down at the dinner table, where a feast of roast chicken and steak lay waiting for them.
The aroma filled the room, making their mouths water.
Jerony took a seat at the head of the table, looking at each of his furry companions.
The next day, the puppies decided to return to their training.
For several days, they had been training intensely in the backyard of their luxurious house.
Jerony had set up various obstacles and challenges for them, pushing their limits both physically and mentally.
He knew they had to be prepared for whatever Cooper and Elena Rose threw at them next.
Maxtone took to the skies, practicing his evasive maneuvers while the Cyber Ghost Trio pups; Lynna, Luna and Hershell, worked on their coordination, guiding them through a series of hoops with a combination of realistic holographic projections and hacked drone commands.
Meanwhile, Svara and Seca tinkered with their gear in the garage, trying to come up with something that would counter Cooper's newfound stinky strategy.
In fact, a few days later, Hershell's cousin, Sylvex the ninja puppy come to visit them again and she decided to joined the training with them.
Sylvex taught them more understanding of stealth and agility, her ninja instincts adding a new layer to their spy skills.
Her sleek black fur and sharp greenish blue-diamond eyes made her the perfect teacher for evasive tactics.
She showed them more ways to blend into the shadows and how to move silently without giving away their presence.
"Listen, pups... If you want to combine your spy skills and ninja techniques, you must first learn to be super calm," Sylvex's soft yet commanding voice echoed through the backyard as she instructed the eager bunch of pups "a ninja is nothing without control over their body and mind."
"Right... Calm is key," the puppies murmured in unison, their tails wagging slightly with excitement.
"Now... I want to you all to calm yourselves down, and try to focus," Sylvex instructed, her tail swishing slowly behind her "imagine you're stalking your prey, unseen, unheard."
The puppies closed their eyes and took deep breaths, trying to clear their minds.
Anna found it particularly hard to let go of her anger, but she knew they needed to improve.
Anna took a deep breath, inhaling the cool night air, and let the anger subside.
Maxtone opened one eye slightly, peeking at Anna. He knew how much she wanted to catch Cooper, but he also knew that anger clouded judgment.
"Maxtone!!! Don't peeking!!!" Sylvex's voice was sharp, her ears perked up at the slightest sound of movement.
Maxtone snapped his eyes shut quickly, his cheeks flushing, "sorry, Sylvex."
"It's okay, but remember, a ninja sees without looking," Sylvex said with a hint of amusement in her voice "ninja sees with their heart and feels with their instincts."
Jerony watching from the second floor balcony, a proud smile on his face as he saw his pups concentrating on their training.
Despite their youth and the occasional squabble, they had come a long way from the playful pups they once were.
They had grown into a formidable spy team, each with their unique skills and strengths.
"Good job, Sylvex... You're really pushing them," Jerony said.
Meanwhile, Hershell was the calmest of all at that time, even he could feel himself peeing in his diaper but he didn't want to ruin the moment.
Sylvex's sensitive ears picked up the faint sound of Hershell's peeing. She raised an eyebrow, impressed by his determination not to interrupt the training.
"Good focus, cousin," she thought, but knew they had to address the issue before it became a problem in the field.
Finally, after a few minutes of silence, Sylvex called out, "alright, pups... How do you feel now?"
They all opened their eyes, looking more focused than ever.
"Much better, Sylvex," Anna said, her voice steady.
"Good," Sylvex nodded "now, let's move on to the next part of your training... We need to work on your ability to track and catch your target without being seen or heard."
"Training time is over, puppies," Jerony called out from the balcony, interrupting Sylvex's lecture "go to the living room and take a rest."
The Pups Gang looked at each other, a bit surprised but happy to take a break from their intense training.
They padded into the house, tails wagging slightly.
