A superhero's worst nightmare
Theme: Hero
When the hero Dragonite gets a call from a worried mother and her missing daughter, its up to him to save the day, but it may not be so easy! Let's hope any villains in the future won't use this location or poor dragonite will really suffer next time theres trouble
-----------------------------------------------
Whats that sound? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope! Its Dragonite! The famous superhero who has been blowing up in popularity lately after rescuing a bunch of baby pokemon from a house fire! To this day the dragonite has completed a lot of rescues. The dragonite was dressed with a fancy mask and cape, specifically made to fit him. But today, little does he know, hes about to receive the most terrifying to him task that may leave even the hero petrified.

The dragonite got a call from a very worried mother, a Delphox, she said her daughter was playing in the shallows of the ocean when all of a sudden, a wave came crashing in out of nowhere and taking her out to sea! The Delphox couldnt swim to save her, so who better to call then the one and only Dragonite superhero!

But unfortunately for this hero, the water wasnt really his best friend, he hates it! All of his missions up until now have been water free, but now? Not only does he have to go into the water, but he has to go underwater on top of that!

The poor guy didnt know what to do, he was a superhero sure, but he had one weakness, and that was the ocean! He had to think of something. But as time goes by, the delphox gets increasingly worried about her daughter, who also didnt know how to swim. She was probably underwater right now getting close to inhaling water!

The dragonite knew he had no choice, he had to face his greatest fear in order to save the lives of others, but it took him a while to prepare himself for this merciless dive.

Thankfully, one of the beach goers noticed he was nervous, and gave them a pat of the back along with some words of encouragement, even passing their goggles to him so he wouldn't have stinging eyes. With newfound determination, the dragonite replaces his mask with the goggles, still keeping his cape on before flying out to sea in search of the missing daughter.

It didnt take long for the dragonite to see some air bubbles popping from the surface, and thats when he knew, the delphox's daughter was probably down under in that direction. But as the dragonite approached closer to the water, he was very very scared. He was trying to delay this, he turns and looks over at the delphox who was crying, she thinks it may be too late to save her beloved daughter, and seeing someone else cry made the dragonite start to cry, he hates to see others so upset and sad.

He suddenly growls in determination, he has to do this, and he will! With a deep gasp and air puffed between his cheeks he finally dives underwater, closing his eyes and whimpering as he did, but he quickly shakes them off and swims down to find the daughter. The dragonite isnt the greatest breath holder as his face was already turning just a bit red, but he continues down reguardless, even some fish who seem to know who he is cheer him on too!

After was felt like forever, the dragonite comes to a stop, hovering a few feet above the bottom as he scans for the daughter, until he finds her. The delphox's daughter, a Vulpix was struggling badly, her face blue, but the dragonite knew he could save her in time.
With a swift kick, he swims over to the Vulpix and carefully cradles her in his arms before swimming up to the surface. Bubbles constantly escape the two of them, but the dragonite was determined then ever to push through, even as his face turns fully red. He hopes the vulpix will last a bit longer too, he sees her covering her mouth and nose.

But luckily, the two after a few more minutes finally surface and gasps heavily for air, before flying the vulpix back to shore and finally being reunited with the delphox who happily hugs the vulpix tight and so grateful for the dragonite's help.

This was definitely a tough task for poor dragonite, but he hopes this'll be the only time he has to go underwater for a rescue. With a wave goodbye he soars on into the sunset, and everyone knew that he would come back once trouble arose again, but for now, Super Dragonite signs off!

THE END!

Not so sad anymore
Theme: Cheering up
Its a gloomy day, and for most people it would put a huge frown on their face, but for this Pikachu, its a lot more then just a gloomy day that gets him sad. Will he ever be happy today?
-----------------------------------------------
Today was a cloudy day, not a single bit of sun was in the sky, and it felt depressing to some folks. But today was by far the worst day ever for this lonely Pikachu. It was the 1 year anniversary of when his parents died in a plane crash, and all day he's been at his parents grave sight, crying so heavily. He misses them so much and wishes they could come back, but he knew there was nothing he could do about it.

So even tho it looked like it could rain at any moment, the Pikachu decided to go for a walk to at least try and look on the positive side of things. He has a good house and makes good money, but that didnt mean today was gonna make him happy. All day since this morning hes had a huge frown on his face, and tears constantly in his eyes, he thinks that nothing is gonna make him happy today.

As he continues his walk, passerby notice how upset the pikachu looked, growing concerned for themselves as he walked down a street. Even tho he was super sad, he keeps walking and trudging forward.

Soon, he arrives at a lake, looking down at the blue waters with a heavy sigh. He decided to sit down on the edge for a while and just think to himself, he's getting the feeling that he's not gonna be happy for the rest of the day, and thats not like him at all, he's always happy, joyful and so full of energy, definitely not today.

As time went by, something then comes up to the surface, seemingly gasping for air. It was an anthro turtle! The Pikachu noticed the anthro turtle, and while turtles were his favorite animals, not even they could help him get better.

However, this turtle was by far the most concerned about how upset the Pikachu was, it comes closer and nudges their body. "Are you ok little Pikachu?" They asked in a somber voice

The pikachu responded by telling the turtle why he was feeling so sad, and that made the turtles heart break open, tearing up as hears the pikachu's story. The turtle immediately hugs the pikachu tight, comforting them to the best of their ability, even with their hard shell it felt warm and comforting as if it was radiating heat from it.

The turtle whispered soothing words to the pikachu "Shhh, its ok... ive got you, I understand your sad, but I wanna help you cheer up a little bit". Thats when the turtle suggested they should go for a little swim in the water, and the pikachu does like to go swimming on hot days. So with a small nod he joins the turtle in the water, it feel good and he was already feeling just a bit better.

Holding the Pikachu's hand, they started swimming together on the surface of the water for a while, and while the pikachu wasnt smiling, its clear that hes enjoying himself somewhat.

After a while the turtle suggested that they should dive underwater and relax. He thinks if they sit together in the quiet depths of the lake that ill help cheer the pikachu up finally.

With nothing to lose the pikachu shrugs and puts on some goggles before he and the turtle take a deep gasp of air and submerge underwater, swimming down to the bottom hand in hand.

This lake was pretty deep, estimated about 110 feet deep, and once those two make it to the bottom, the surface wasnt even visible. So, the turtle leads the pikachu to a comfortable spot on the bottom and soon they sit together.

About 5 minutes in, the pikachu looks around, it was quiet and really relaxing, even while he has to hold his breath, bubbles escaping him in the process. Despite being sad, he can hold his breath for a good while as the turtle turns his head and smiles at the pikachu, resting his head against their shoulder.

That finally made the pikachu smile for the first time today, being with his favorite animal and being far underwater has left the pikachu feeling content and...dare he said it, happy!

Several more minutes later, the pikachu and turtle's faces were red, it seems they almost have the same breath hold times, and while pikachu puffs his cheeks and grunts in strain, he found it in him to finally cheer up!

After hugging the turtle for so long and spending more time in the comforting to him depths, the pikachu is starting to finally feel better. At one point, they got up and swam around the bottom to chase each other around, causing giggles of air to escape from both of their lips. Eventually the breathless feeling was starting to take its toll on the duo, so they both swam up to the distant surface together, and luckily it didnt take long for them to surface and gasp for air a bit heavily.

The turtle was grateful that he could help his new friend out and now even when the clouds still loom above, the pikachu was back to his regular happy self, even tho some sadness still lingers underneath him, now he doesnt let it stop him.

Deciding he didnt wanna separate from the turtle, the two climb out of the lake and walk down a street to spend the rest of the day together. He knew his parents were probably very proud of him and watching above for finding ways to keep himself happy, and he knew this turtle would be a great way to keep both of them happy on this gloomy day.

THE END!

A Gym like No Other
Theme: Flood
You might think this is a typical looking Gymnasium, but theres something in there that you might wanna be careful of, especially for this Machop and Black Lizard
-----------------------------------------------
Its seems to be a typical day in the local gym, a lot of heavy weight pokemon love to come here and lift weights together, Machamps and Lucarios seems to be the most common pokemon you'll see in the gym, along with a few legendaries

One particular newbie, a Machop, was at the front desk, registering his name on the list to get inside. Even tho there was a lot of bigger pokemon, some of the smaller ones even like to come to the gym to get a nice workout in, and that included this Machop.

Today he was gonna work out with his buddy, a Black Lizard whos about the same size as the machop, the two have been best friends for a long time, and the black lizard was finally convinced his friend to come to the gym to go workout together, and obviously after a lot of convincing, thats exactly what they were gonna do.

Everything seemed like it was all normal, but trouble soon was gonna happen to everyone thats gonna stop this whole thing cold, or at least thats what someone would expect.

As the Machop and lizard start lifting weights together for a good while, there was something that was making a rattling noise, it appears to be some sort of leakage from the ceiling from somewhere, and out of nowhere, water starting filling up this room of the gym!

Immediately the Machop and Lizard went into a panic, since they weren't great swimmers and most certainly not the best breath holders. As they struggle to keep themselves above the water, they noticed that everyone wasnt even in a panic, they were...calm? This definitely confused our duo, but apparently, they didnt know that this particular gym loves to keep everyone on its toes while working out, so sometimes on random moments, they would flood this particular room of the gym to catch everyone off guard and do some breath hold training.

As the waters completely fill the room, causing everyone to hold their breathes tight, a 30 minute timer starts on a monitor next to them, and immediately almost everyone sits down and focuses on conserving as much breath as possible
30 minutes?! Thats way past the Machop and Lizard's best times! There was no way they would make it! But, they had to at least try. So they too closed their eyes and tried their best to stay calm, even when they were whimpering out tons of bubbles. Everyone else, even the legendary pokemon, are all calm as they barely let any bubbles escape them. The lizard was even caught off guard since this never happened to him when he goes to this gym, talk about being super unlucky!

10 minutes in, and the machop and lizard's faces were purple, they just couldnt hold their breathes any longer and then they started to drown, breathing in the water and starting to choke, which caught the attention of a few pokemon in the room. But thankfully, the gym was trained to handle this kind of thing, an emergency alarm suddenly goes off and the water immediately began to drain from the room, causing everyone else to gasp and sigh hevaily of disappointment, wondering why it was stopped early.

Paramedics rushed in to give CPR to the Machop and Lizard, and thankfully they wake up and cough up water, finally breathing in air. The two chuckle nervously as a few of the pokemon glared at them, they weren't too happy that their breath hold training was cut off so suddenly, but others felt bad about them getting stuck in this situation without them knowing

The Machop and Lizard were then escorted out of the room, and after they did, water started to fill back up the room so everyone can try again at the 30 minute breath hold time.

Both of them shuddered at the sight as they watched through a window, the room filling back up instantly, they definitely need to look into when this happens so if they come back to the gym in the future, they can expect it. But it all seemed randomized, there wasnt a set schedule on the flooding, and the breath hold times seem to change each session too.

Maybe if they get someone to convince them to try this they may come back in the future, but for now they decided to just go home and rest, nearly drowning made the duo very tired.

Oh no, not me!
Theme: Tour
When a tour of Kanto takes an unexpected turn, a snivy must face his greatest fear when he gets some bad luck
-----------------------------------------------
The city of Kanto was a beautiful place, all sorts of pokemon live there, even some from outside of the region. Today, there was gonna be a specialized tour for people who are new to the city. One of those newbies was a Snivy, who recently got into town and was now taking this tour of the city

For the most part, the tour looked pretty normal but soon that was about to change. You see, this tour was not only showcasing what its like to live here above here, but it also is gonna showcase what its like for anyone to live underwater in the local ocean.

Cause even underwater, there was busy life just like on the surface, there were even some building down there where pokemon worked at, so this tour covers everything about that.

Once it got to that part, everyone hops on a boat to sail over the open ocean, the tour guider, a Feraligatr was getting everything set up, including providing air tanks to most pokemon so they won't have to hold their breaths, but unfortunately there wasnt enough for everyone, which means some pokemon had to hold their breaths and only get a breath from an air tank when needed.

This caused the Snivy to worry, he wasnt that good at holding his breath, and if he was one of the chosen ones to do so, things wouldnt be too good. But his changes of that happening are pretty low, since there seemed to be plenty of air tanks for everyone, at least thats what he thought at first.

The Feraligatr decided to draw names from a hat to make this more fair for everyone, he hopes for his sake that his name is called and he can go through this portion of the underwater tour worry free. But as the air tanks dwindle down, there was only one left and the snivy STILL hasnt been called up yet, how can he get such rotten luck?!

He closes his eyes and prays for a mircule that his name would be called, but unfortunately it didnt happen and the last air tank was taken by someone else, that means him along with about 7 others were the chosen ones that they have to hold their breaths.

The snivy tried to talk to the feraligatr about possibly getting someone to share their tank with him the whole way, but rules were rules...the 7 others including Snivy can only breathe from an air tank if absolutely necessary, since he didnt want the other's tanks to be drained by someone else.

With a heavy sigh, the snivy knew he had no choice, he didnt wanna have to hold his breath for this tour, he was really bad at it too. Everyone grabs some goggles and while most people are putting the regulators into their mouth, the snivy had to start holding his breath soon enough.

He could see that most of the 7 others who were unlucky were also not looking forward to this as well, even one that was genuinely just as scared as Snivy, but of course there were at least 1 or 2 who were actually looking forward to just holding their breath.

Once everyone was in the water, the Feraligatr who doesnt have an air tank himself since he can hold his breath for so long, he gives a countdown from 5, and soon everyone submerges...well, most of them, about 3 people didnt dive including the snivy. He was actually thinking about just skipping this part of the tour with how scared he was, but hes already come all the way out here. The feraligatr meanwhile made sure everyone was down here, but once he spotted that he was missing a few others he comes back up to the surface.

He frowns as he notices the snivy and the 2 others who didn't submerge, he then reassures everyone that things will be fine, and that he'll give a close eye on them to make sure nothing happens.

With them mostly cheered up, the feraligatr goes back down and the others soon followed after some hesitation, including Snivy.

Once everyone was met up again, the tour resumed and the feraligatr guided the pokemon all around the busy underwater parts of the city, there were pokemon swimming to work, some of them just hanging around and there was even a restaurant.

Only about 5 minutes into the tour, the snivy's face was turning red, bubbles constantly escaping him, he really was bad at this, and soon a few others were also having red faces.
The feraligatr turned and noticed them struggling, but doesnt say anything since they arent too low on breath yet to be concerned about it, so the tour continues on, with a few of the pokemon who have air tanks looking on in concern at the ones who dont have one

4 minutes later, the snivy's face was bright blue, while 1 or 2 others faces were barely blushing red, soon the feraligatr noticed and quickly grabbed his emergency regulator from his pocket and puts it in the snivy's mouth, which he immediately inhales the air inside and calms down.

Once his face returns to normal, the feraligatr then gestures for him to hold his breath again so he can help the others, but poor snivy was really scared of doing that, but he knew he had no choice. With a deep breath he holds his breath again and then the regulator was taken off of him as the feraligatr goes to help the others who are struggling

As time passes by, the snivy got air when he needed it, which was a lot of the time, and the Feraligatr knew he had to wrap things up early since his emergency regulator was running low on air. So he directed everyone back to the surface and everyone breathed in the fresh air. The snivy knew he screwed things up, and hopefully everyone would forgive him

Once everyone was back on the boat they were safely brought back to shore and they got off. The snivy took of his goggles and immediately ran off, maybe he'll come back to watch more of the underwater tour when he gets brave enough, but for now he needed a break

Friendbruary 2 - Dream
squirtlerocks07 and I are doing our own art challenge we made together! He writes a story, the next day I draw something, and we repeat. I gave him the themes he'll be writing, he gave me the themes I'll be drawing. So, surprise, tons of new art for a little while!

I'll be updating this with his new stories as they come, until there's 5 here, at which point there'll be a new post for the next ones. Check back on the 9th.
