After being a bit careless in a place where he definitely shouldn't have been, one thing led to another, and Conduit found himself fished up and bound. Knowing what tended to happen to fish that get caught - and worried that was what would happen to him - he made a show of letting electricity crackle around him whenever anyone approached, making it clear that even though he was tied up he wasn't going down without a fight. It went on for quite a while, as Conduit held his watery breath as long as he could. His body was beginning to dry, making his skin ache, and the heat of the sun was gradually feeling worse... But even as he neared his breath holding limit, he didn't let up in his aggression.

Perhaps he should have. Eventually, Conduit spat out the water he'd been holding for so long, and began taking forceful gasps of the suffocating air. He couldn't stop himself, panting and struggling to get loose as he started to panic... After some time, he began to slow down, going more and more limp in his binds. He still tried to breathe, but his useless breaths were weak and sporadic, each one having a little less force behind it... At this point, he was just going to accept whatever the person who'd caught him was planning...

Yeah, keeping people away from him when he needed help to escape wasn't really his best idea.

squirtlerocks07 and I did an RP based on this.

S: wandering around near a boating loading zone one day was a Hawlucha, they had decided to take a moment or two to bask in the ocean breeze after a tough fight that he had a few moments ago

L: Something in that loading zone catches his attention: A semi-anthro eel has been hung up by their arms with a rope, and is still alive, struggling to try to breathe!

S: the Hawlucha was stunned at the sight, rushing over to see what in the world was going on, he then talks to the anthro eel in his useal Spanish accent

"My goodness me, are you ok!? What happened?!"

L: The eel looks down at the hawlucha, trying to stay focused despite the purple blush on their face. "Th-they caught me... H-help... C-can't breathe..."

S: "This is no place for a fish like you to be here, don't worry ive got you, hang in there"

the Hawlucha then gets to work on untieing the eel from their bindings

L: As they're doing so, an anthro bird comes running over. "Hey, what are you doing!? Stop, it was a lot of work to catch that!"

S: "Oh no! I better hurry!"

the Hawlucha goes faster and thankfully he manages to untie the eel!

"There we go! Your free!"

L: The eel falls to the ground, and while he tries to pull himself to the edge so he can drop back into the water, he doesn't have enough strength to any more.

Bird: "No, don't you dare do anything more!"

S: "Here, lemme help you!"

the Hawlucha quickly picks up the eel and manages to drop him back in the water

L: The eel finally starts to recover now that they're underwater again, smiling in relief.

The bird looks down into the water at the eel, then glares at the hawlucha. "Why did you do that!?"

S: the hawlucha glares back
"Why did you catch this thing?! He was gonna die if I didnt do something! I had to help, now get outta here, if I wasnt so tired I kick your butt right now!"

L: "Do you have any idea how much they were gonna be worth!? I ought to kick YOUR butt for that!" The bird shoves the hawlucha, trying to knock them off the edge into the water.

S: "Whoa hey now! No shoving!"

the Hawlucha was getting angrier, but he didnt fall in and instead shoves the bird himself, trying to get him off the edge

L: "O-oh jeez!" As tired as the hawlucha is, their strength catches the bird off guard, and he ends up falling into the water! He surfaces after a moment, coughing a few times. "Ugh, I was just fishing, what's the big deal!?"

The eel is still below, and as he sees the bird's ended up in the water, he thinks about what he could do to get back at them...

S: the Hawlucha laughs
"Take that you overgrown bird! Now your all wet! Better be glad I didnt pull you under!"

L: Bird: "Fine, whatever, there'll be other really good catches..." As he goes to pull himself back up, the eel comes up from below and grabs him, pulling him away.

Eel: "You're not going anywhere until you've paid for putting me through that..."

S: "Uh oh! Hehehehe, now your in trouble!"

L: The bird struggles to get loose. "H-hang on, no, I'm sorry!"

Eel: "I think holding you under for a nice long while ought to be good..." He looks over at the hawlucha. "You can come down too if you want to watch."

S: "Oh um, I can't really swim...but I do wanna watch...what do i do?"

L: Bird: "O-oh, too bad, guess that means you're just gonna have to let me go!"

Eel: "Yeah, no, doesn't work like that. Um... Maybe you could use what's left of those ropes to secure yourself so you can just pull yourself back up?"

S: "I guess that could work... alright, ill give it a try, ive never been submerged before either"
The Hawlucha grabs the rope and secures himself to it, then slowly lowers himself down into the water, making sure the rope doesnt make him sink

L: Eel: "Alright, that looks like it should work. Both of you get yourselves ready!"

The bird is continuing to try to get free. "No no no, don't do this!"

S: "Aww whats the matter? Afraid of a little water? The great Hawlucha doesnt fear anything!"

the Hawlucha takes a few breathes to get ready, luckily he at least knows that he has to take breathes even when hes never really gone underwater

L: Eel: "And by the way, I'm an electric eel, so let me know whenever you want me to zap this guy..."

Bird: "A-at least don't do that, come on!"

S: "Oooh! Thats even better! Ok sounds good! Whats your name? Forgot to ask, I'm Luca"

L: Eel: "I'm Conduit. Pretty appropriate name given what I am, huh?"

Bird: "And I'm not telling you two mine."

S: "Thats fine, I dont wanna know your name, and yeah pretty appropriate name indeed, great to meet ya, now come on lets dunk this dumb bird!"

L: Conduit: "One last breath, birdie!" The bird barely manages to get a deep breath as Conduit dives under with him.

S: Luca couldnt help but giggle a little as Conduit dragged the bird down underwater, soon he takes a breath himself and pinches his nose shut before diving down to join them

L: Conduit hasn't gone all that far underwater, knowing it won't make a whole lot of difference for the bird. "Now, this'll probably just be a few minutes..."

The bird doesn't seem very good at holding his breath, as quite a few bubbles are leaking away in his struggles.

S: Luca shakes his head, even when hes never submerged before, he seems to be pretty good at breath holding, only letting a few small bubbles loose as he watches the show, wondering when Conduit should electrify the bird

L: Conduit: "Never really knew how good I am at holding onto people, but apparently I'm not half bad..."

Bird: "Shbl-shblut ublp!"

S: Luca nods in agreement, smiling before he finally speaks

"I thblink yblou shblould elecbltrify hblim nblow!"

L: Conduit: "Got it!" Some sparks briefly surround him as he shocks the bird, who clearly doesn't take it well, yelling out a cloud of bubbles in pain.

S: "Ooooh, thblats gblotta hublrt!"

luca laughs some bubbles away

"Dblo iblt agblain!!"

L: As requested, Conduit shocks the bird again, to the same effect. All the lost air has led to the bird already having a red face.

S: Luca giggles at the sight, his own face slightly red now, this wasnt gonna take too much longer until the bird gets really low on air, heck Luca is even thinking about asking Conduit to just keep electrifying the bird until its just about to drown

L: Conduit: "Don't worry about running me out of charge, I can keep going for a lot longer... Doesn't seem like this bird can though!"

The bird shakes his head, trying his best to keep holding his breath.

S: Luca floats a bit closer to Conduit and whispers to him to keep electrifying the Bird until its just about to drown, seeing has Conduit was about to dry drown on the surface

L: Conduit nods, and starts continuously shocking the bird.

The bird keeps whining in pain, losing even more air as he struggles his hardest yet, his face starting to go blue.

S: "Wblont ble tbloo loblng noblw..."

Luca grunts a bit in strain as his face turns more red, but he ignores it as best as he can so he can watch the full show

L: As Conduit keeps up the electricity, he finally stops once the bird's face has gone purple.

Conduit: "Alright, he's just about at where I was..."

The bird's struggles are now to hold his breath, and he tries to hold his beak shut, though he can't since he's being held.

S: "Perblfect, nblow i wonblder if wble lblet hblim drblown... whblat dobl yblou thblink?"

Luca floats up to the surface quickly for a breather since he doesnt wanna drown himself before holding his breath again and coming back down

L: Conduit: "Maybe for a little bit, I did end up running out of breath up there. But I think we should bring him up in the end."

The bird nods at that last statement, hoping to be let up BEFORE he starts drowning.

S: "Okblay thblen"

about 4 minutes pass by, Luca knows that the bird probably won't last too much longer until he inhales a bit of water, then conduit could bring him up finally

L: And sure enough, just a few seconds later, the bird's beak opens just a little to suck in... And he thrashes in Conduit's grip as he coughs up the water just to inhale more!

Conduit: "Ah, there he goes!"

S: "Hahbla!! Alblright lblets briblng hblim ublp finblally"

Luca floats back to the surface and gasps for air a little when he comes back up, waiting for Conduit and the Bird

L: Conduit comes back up with the bird, who's repeatedly coughing and gasping as they try to catch their breath.

Conduit: "Think he's learned his lesson?"

While he's coughing too much to talk yet, the bird nods.

S: "I think thats a yes, you better not try and catch conduit again! Or we're gonna make it even worse for you next time!"

L: Bird: "S-sorry..." Conduit finally lets him go, and the bird manages to climb back up onto the dock, sitting for a moment while he recovers.

Conduit: "Keep your fishing to unintelligent fish, alright? You essentially caught a PERSON earlier."

S: "Yeah! Or your gonna know the consequences of your actions next time around!"

Luca glares at the bird before smiling at Conduit

"I'm just happy your ok my friend"

L: Conduit: "And I'm really lucky you came around, there's no way I would've survived that on my own..."

The bird manages to get up and nervously walks off.

S: "Yeah definitely not, glad I came by the area, and who knew I was so good at holding my breath, maybe I outta actually learn how to swim someday, but not today of course"

L: "I'd be up for teaching you sometime, if you want. For now though, yeah, we should both take it easy."

S: "I wouldn't mind that, I mean your a fish technically so swimming is like second nature to you, for now I'm gonna go find a nice tree to take a nap in, then its back to my training! Ive got another wrestling match coming up and I gotta stay ready!"

L: "Oh, good luck with your match! And I hope your training goes well too!"

S: "Thanks Conduit, next time you see me ill be the champion! Nobody wins against me haha! Later!"

and so Luca waves goodbye before rushing off to take his nap, happy that Conduit turned out ok here
