With some of the wilder and wackier ideas out of the way, it is time to return to the smaller stuff. And, as you can see, I mean that both figuratively and literally. One of the issues I have always had when drawing characters is posing them. And, though I have gotten better at it over time, I still tend to pose them in a way that makes them appear more like statues than living beings. Now I can animate, however, that issue has been remedied in a way I never expected.

While I am still a novice, seeing my own characters move is an absolutely spectacular experience. Even this simple line-boil animation with Maya is something I never thought I could do in 2015. It is both figuratively and literally something small, but it is certainly the start of something bigger...

And yes, I am definitely going to get esoteric with later sprite animations down the line.
