Revisiting an old character~ I haven't drawn Rika since last July, and she's turned out to be quite a barometer of how much I've improved in such a short span of time.

The lighting on the wall and floor and shading on her trousers are great, as is the liquid on the tenctacle actually (you've picked a good level of transparency for it IMO). You certainly have come some ways over the year haven't you (though in my eyes your old work wasn't bad! XD). If i had to give any CC, legs maybe look a bit chubby compared to the arms (unless her trousers are a puffed out design?), but that's me being uber-picky and it doesen't detract from the pic at all.

And constructive criticism is always welcome - if I never had anyone providing useful suggestions, I'd have never been able to improve. Thankfully, Inkbunny has plenty of fantastic people that give great advice! I agree that the legs look a bit odd - mostly because yes, I was going for a puffy look to the pants. My idea is that it's a leather material (sword 'n sorcery fare), but that it still has a fairly loose fit to it.
Then again, I'm generally displeased with the way I draw anything below the thigh... feet often trip me up, and I feel my leg positions look a bit too idle. I /did/ sketch a motion picture of her on paper, which hopefully I can find the time to finish in Sai. Never feel bad about pointing out stuff that doesn't look right to you, though~ I'm still learning what I'm doing, so suggestions and comments are my lessons :3
