Character Sheet for Rika
Character Description
Rika has been dungeon delving ever since she was old enough to wield a sword... which hasn't been that long. As a result of being raised an orphan, much of her training came from her own studies. The downside to this is that she lacks the foresight of a mentor... and as a result is quite accident-prone in her chosen profession.
Personality
Fiery and eager - the concept of "look before you leap" hasn't worked its way into her lexicon.
Her search for treasure stems from a mix of the economic and the pedagogical. Sure it's great to sell her spoils in exchange for a rich meal, but she'd be much more interesting in learning what the world of magic has to offer.
Likes/Dislikes
Likes - Treasure, exploring new locales, escaping from said locales without significant damage, shiny things.
Dislikes - Disenchanted items, being put down for being female, (giant) spiders
Background/History
Much of Rika's skill and possessions come from her own doing. Much of her gear was purchased by way of doing odd-jobs for money, although a smattering of it was pulled from treasure hauls.
Magic has always been a point of interest for her - and she's even learned a few spells from the oft-seen scrolls she's come across. She's no wizard, but can conjure short-term shields and (usually) project fire to places other than her tail.
Relatives/Family
World/Setting
Rika lives in a typical sword-and-sorcery setting. Of most interest - at least to Rika - is the schools of magic as defined by the governing body of wizards:
Elemental - The act of working the elements to the whim of the caster. Rika's fire spells fall under this tree, although the extend of elemental magic includes (but is not limited to), wind, water, earth, and lightning.
Arcane - With elemental being the more natural-focused line of spells, arcane deals mostly with the ethereal side of magic. Rika's brief shielding is a weak example of this tree. Skilled arcanists are able to teleport great distances, conjure weapons of pure energy, and even alter time.
Necromancy - Has mostly gotten a bad rap from the understanding that it involves the undead. Most necromancers prefer to distance themselves from evil, opting instead to be healers. Unfortunately, none of this has helped ease the stigma associated with the name. It still doesn't keep away those needing medical attention...
A fourth school of magic exists, but mostly as a joke among the masses. Mostly jokes involving how many perverts there are among the ranks of wizards.
Body
Practice with a sword has made her stronger than most females her age, although she's far from being muscular. Her hair is usually tied back in a ponytail, and her bangs are often held up by her goggles.
She has only recently started puberty, which has accounted for little more than slight development on her chest.
Clothing
Like the great treasure hunters and adventurers before her, Rika wears light leather armor. More durable than cloth, and without the encumbrance of mail.
She claims her boots are enchanted, when in fact she just runs really fast.
Accessories
Earring - 'Cuz it's shiny~
Sword/scabbard - 'Cuz it's pointy!
Goggles - 'Cuz it's coooooool...
Belt - 'Cuz nudity's only fun in private. :3
