It's time for Soleanna Struggle! I'll go over each pic chapter by chapter and briefly explain them. Or you could read the fanfic. I've got pools for the stories, and bigger stories have been collected into arcs as well, like this arc here: https://inkbunny.net/s/2861264
Ch. 11 - Guard and Chet travel through GUN Outpost Fiery Red in order to save Razor and Katie. Guard faces a GUN mech known as the Firefly, turning against his master, Sgt. Gunner. (Keep in mind time will be reset later.)
Ch. 12 - Punchy goes into a hidden mine in Soleanna, looking to get a Time Stone in order to stand a chance against Mephiles. The Lost Ones appear to be siding with Mephiles, and send a Lospirit Lord to fight Punchy! The mine collapses, but the Babylon Rogues help Punchy and Rainbow to escape...while also stealing the Time Stone.
Ch. 13 - Gemini, Guard and Copter board Shadow Arcangel, hoping to talk some sense into Bucky. The Deathbringer is trying to kill Guard, but Gemini stands in "his" way. (The characters thought the Deathbringer was a guy...) In the end, the tragedy the Deathbringer hoped to avoid comes to pass, and the Arcangel's engines are destroyed. The ship is going to crash! (Oh, the second image here? I cropped out the Deathbringer's feet. She should have shoes, not talons.)
Ch. 14 - Copter must race to escape the falling ship. On the way, he runs into Experiment 11, Whisk the Divine, who was thought to be killed by Heather. Vortex has taken Heather to kill her in retaliation, but Whisk could clear her name! Whisk is too scared, however, and simply escapes the ship with Copter before leaving him on his own...
Ch. 15 (two images) - Eggman Nega is the one who hired the Babylon Rogues to collect the Time Stones! He's created a mech called the Egg Timer, which will allow him to rule over time with all seven stones! Punchy tries to take the stones back, but he and Rainbow are sent to the future again!
Ch. 16 - Mephiles approaches Gemini. She has the purple Chaos Emerald, and he wants it to complete his plans! Gemini returns to the future to escape him, but accidentally brings Guard with her! Together they plan to defeat Losipher, the Lost One responsible for the deaths of several of Gemini's friends...
Ch. 17 (two images) - To get into Kingdom Valley and chase the Egg Carrier where Vortex has taken Heather, Copter must complete the Tests of Soleanna. One is the test of love, where specters of girls Copter knows try to get him to admit his love for them. Katie and Heather are pictured, but other options included Gemini, Whisk, Rainbow, and Katie's friend, Mia the cat. One of the six does, in fact, turn out to be Copter's true love...someday.
Ch. 18 - Rainbow runs into a Punchy who survived into the distant future in real time. Seeing her again fills him with grief enough to transform him into Dark Punchy, but before it can happen, he's felled by a gunshot! Rainbow's shot was a warning shot and missed; It was Punchy who put down his own future self, realizing Rainbow wouldn't have it in her.
Ch. 19 - Copter tries valiantly to catch the Egg Carrier, but with Alpha slowing him down, he isn't quite able to make it. Whisk catches him as he falls and takes him safely aboard, leaving him to battle Spiny and the ther Experiments siding with Vortex... (Spiny doesn't care that Whisk is alive, he just wants violence.)
Ch. 20 - Returning to the present with the last Time Stone, Punchy teams up with the betrayed Babylon Rogues to destroy the Egg Timer. As the birds chase after Nega, Fera appears, plotting to take the Time Stones for Mephiles! Punchy's journey ends in a battle with Fera!
Ch. 21 (two images) - Losipher transforms into a gigantic fiend to battle Guard and Gemini! He plans to merge with Iblis and end all life, so he has to be stopped! Gemini creates her own spell, powered by the memory of her friends. Her power boost comes with glowing wings. She is seemingly able to destroy Losipher, but really she only left him weakened...
Ch. 22 (two images) - I couldn't get any good pics for this chapter. Anyway, Zipp's bombs go off, leading the Egg Carrier to start crashing. Vortex escapes on the back of Experiment 10, Zeke the Dragon. The Hurricane arrives by remote, and Heather pilots the biplane while Copter stands on the wing to battle Vortex and Zeke. Both of them fall, but Heather saves Copter. Vortex is saved by Whisk, clearing Heather's name and quelling Vortex's rage.
Ch. 23 (two images) - Ultimately, Mephiles succeeds in his plans. Sonic is killed, Solaris is formed, and everyone ends up in a stage called "End Of The World." While Sonic's friends seek the Chaos Emeralds to revive him, our cast of characters hunt down the Time Stones to break free of "End Of The World." Punchy searches Eggman Nega's base in Dusty Desert, while Guard returns to Outpost Fiery Red, which is now infested with arachnid Lospides.
Ch. 24 (two images that needed work done on them.) - Copter fights Fera over a Time Stone in the ruins of the Egg Carrier. Gemini must battle Losipher in his temple on Onyx Island (yes, from Sonic Rivals). A battle with Solaris rages in the meanwhile. After that battle, Heather uses the Time Stones to bring Sonic and Elise to the moment when Solaris can be erased. However, Fera followed along! Fighting over the Time Stones, Copter, Gemini, Fera and Heather get send to another time...
Ch. 25 (first image) - In the new timeline, Heather is more fearful than before. Due to timeline changes brought about by Fera, Mephiles was created along with Heather! He took his form from Bucky's shadow, so Mephiles approaches Fera in rat form. He convinces Heather to join with him despite Copter's protests.
Ch. 25 (2nd image) - Mephiles and Heather become a weaker version of Solaris known as Solenix. It has not one, but two consciousnesses within it. The pair disagreeing on what to do gives our heroes time to stop Solenix before the timeline is damaged beyond repair!
Ch. 25 (3rd image) - Dimentime teaches Gemini the spell she used to defeat Losipher. She has less grief in the new timeline, and with the Chaos Emeralds nearby, Gemini becomes Super Gemini! She teams with Super Sonic and Super Copter to fight Solenix, but the beast seems immortal!
Ch. 25 (final image) - Dimentime is revealed as Copter from the previous timeline, his walking stick being Gemini's wand in disguise. The Heather, Fera and Gemini that time travelled with him are all dead, and he's grown old. With magic, he's able to reach Heather inside Solenix. She sacrifices herself to destroy Mephiles, submerging their shared body in the ocean, putting out the flames that keep them alive. Dimentime leaves Copter with the name Arthur and some wise words before vanishing, taken to another time by the Time Stones he now exists to serve...
That's the end of Soleanna Struggle. Here's hoping I'm able to continue this image series with the next story!
