"Betrayed and sacrificed"
When he'd initially heard about a seaside tribe of some sort, Lenn figured he'd visit to see what it was like. Surprisingly, he was treated pretty well despite being a stranger to them! It seemed that they particularly loved dolphin people like him, though they didn't have any of their own. Regardless, he had a great time, and when they offered him an interesting sort of wine they made there, he figured he'd try it out. It was alright, but not long after he drank it he started feeling odd, as if he were getting weaker... Soon, he had to prop himself up on a wall to stay standing, and was suddenly grabbed by a couple people just after, being dragged somewhere! He was powerless to resist, the strange poison in the wine having sapped a signifcant amount of his strength.
Lenn's arms were bound, and he was forced into a stone coffin he barely fit in, his dorsal fin painfully squishing under him. Barely able to see outside, he saw that the leader of the tribe was giving a speech about prosperity, and gaining the favor of some kind of god... THIS was why they loved dolphin people, they used them as sacrifices! Lenn struggled, unable to even stand before a lid was put onto the coffin, then he could hear sliding from below as it was pushed... Then sudden weightlessness for a couple seconds before a loud splash as the coffin fell into the ocean! Water began rapidly leaking in, and he took deep breaths while he could before he was fully submerged.
Soon, the coffin was completely flooded, and the dolphin had to hold his breath. His struggles gradually picked up momentum as the poison began slowly wearing off, and 10 minutes in he'd recovered enough to tear through the bindings on his arms. With that, he wasted no time in trying to lift the coffin's lid, but it was SO heavy, even with it being underwater... But, he had to keep trying. Minutes upon minutes passed with no success, Lenn's limited air slowly being used up, a blue blush eventually forming on his face... Followed by his countdown beginning. It was now or never at this point; if he started drowning, he wouldn't be able to focus enough on escaping any more. He put everything he had into one last escape attempt, pushing with a level of strength he didn't know he had. This HAD to work, or that coffin was going to be more than symbolic.
