"Divine savior"

As brave about exploring underwater as ever, Lenn dove deep down into the ruins of an aquatic temple to see what it held. It was definitely dedicated to a fish goddess of some kind, though he couldn't tell much more than that... But, too interested in what the place had, Lenn made a mistake he hadn't made in a long time: He lost track of how to get out.

Minutes upon minutes passed, and eventually even his countdown to drowning came and went, the dolphin's gurgles filling the otherwise long-silent temple as he choked on the water around him. He managed to frantically continue swimming during his attempts to breathe, but soon he began to slow down, his breaths coming more easily as his body weakened. Over time, his swimming grew sloppy and lethargic as he felt increasingly sleepy, the blue blush on his face being joined by a similar blue tint across his whole body. Intensely oxygen deprived, Lenn eventually couldn't swim any more, going limp and beginning to sink as his vision blurred and faded...

He could just barely feel something gently hold his arms. Focusing as much as he could, he managed to make out a blue and gold figure that sort of looked like the depictions of the goddess the temple was dedicated to... His last conscious thought was that he was simply hallucinating from oxygen deprivation, before his awareness faded away...

Lenn suddenly awoke, gasping and panting. He was back on the beach he'd started on, no worse for wear. While he had no idea whether to believe what he'd seen had truly been that goddess, he knew for a fact that he'd been underwater and now wasn't, with no sign of any savior and not even an ache left in his chest. Regardless, that was certainly enough diving for the day...

Talk about a close call. I bet you were afraid you wouldn't make it

"I still really don't know how I survived that... But, whatever saved me, I'm glad it did."
