New Friends And The Express
After all the excitement Rally took us to a new room of her office a halo map display sat on a rectangular table showing the station power had been lost to most of the place save for Rally's office ``okay heres what I know the last scout team went out into the power line tunnels and they found that there's a crystal growth going on gown there and its cutting off power to the station'' and taps a few keys and an image appears showing the crystal growth it was a dark blue pink and light blue almost green color ``the crystal growth's down in the power relay tunnel have been playing havoc with the power flow and about three weeks ago it started to full on feed on the power itself aiding in its growth and the led to the station's power going down into the red range'' Rally says before looking at all of us ``and that led to most of the workers here having to go back into their diamond holders so as to not drain more power to seaport them''
Later on Ash Goh Kiri and i were in the power relay tunnel Chloe and the others were back up top in the station with Rally and Angela helping us navigate the tunnels as I hold up a flash light scanning the wall ``okay Chloe were at tunnel A15 just pasted the relay monitoring station and the power is down by 88% Kiri tried to do a flow bypass but that crystal growth seems to be spreading'' I say as I hear Naru call out and I move over to him ``hay Belle look'' he says and points with a paw and I see a small patch of crystal growing out of a crack in the tunnel wall ``okay Rally Angela we just found a small patch of it in this tunnel'' I say as I hear a gasp from Rally ``not good that tunnel is only about three miles from the station if it gets too close it may take over the whole station''
After some more searching we found a maintenance tunnel leading into the main tunnel ware the growth started as we turned a corner I felt something like a small young mind reaching out to someone looking back I saw Goh and Kiri looking around before Kiri stoped and looked at me coming over ``are you feeling that too?'' he asked me and I nod as Yuki pops up over his shoulder ``I feel it like a mind reaching out to someone'' she says closing her eyes ``I think its reaching out for you Belle I think it like's you'' she says
Blinking a few times I point at myself and she nods ``okay I' going to try and reach out to it with my mana if something happens try and break the link'' I say as Kiri and Yuki nod closing my eyes I reached out to the young mind I felt it timidly reaching back like it wasn't sure but then I felt it reach for me I felt a link and a mind ``h..hello?.....who.....who are you?'' it asked ``I'm Belle it's nice to meet you who ever you are'' I say as I hear a chuckle almost musical like tinkling crystal ``your close come and find me look for the big pillar I will be there'' the voice says then goes silent as I walk I see a massive crystal growth it fills most of the tunnel only leaving a small bit of space at the top
As I got closer I saw something inside the crystal move like it was bounding about it looked almost fox like as I watched the little fox jumped left then right before it saw me and started to walk to me as it reached the edge of the crystal before jumping out it was so cute and fluffy the little fox walked right up to me ``hi Belle you found me hihi'' he says and jumps into my lap the creature was cute dark blue body fur with blue green patch's as well as one that on its back that looked like a shell the ears were fluffy as well as its three fluffy tails a pair of sky blue eyes with a star in it looked up at me ``Shirou'' he says and I blink ``that's my name'' he says and I smile down at him ``nice to meet you Shirou I'm Belle'' I say as Shirou gets up on his hind legs and licks me on the nose
Later on we made our way back up to the station Shirou was apologizing to us for the trouble he caused with his crystal growth's turned out he had shown up in this tunnels about three weeks ago from some kind of wormhole somehow that wormhole had drained a large amount of Shirou's mana and so he formed that crystal around him like a cocoon to absorb mana from around him somehow the crystal growth had found the mana power lines running to the station but thankfully once Shirou left his crystal cocoon it started to crumble away to dust as we reached the maintenance elevator ``Belle looks like power has been completely restored `` Rally's voice came to us from a speaker on the wall as Shirou looks up ``oh who ever that was she sounded cute'' he says as I look down at him padding next to me
The elevator rose up at an even pace as soft music played from a speaker as we reach the top a soft chime rings out as the doors open and a cute bunny girl stands by the doors ``welcome Chairmen Belle'' she says in a cheery voice as we walked out we found the station a buzz with activity as we reached the atrium we saw a crowed had formed and a podium had been set up with Rally standing tall she sees us in the crowed and waved us over
As we reached the podium I heard whispers from the crowed wondering who I was ``everyone welcome back I'm sure you all would like to know who to thank for restoring power to our little station'' she says looking at everyone in the crowed ``yu can thank this young man our new Chairmen Belle he is the one meant to carry on the legacy of our former late Chairmen's Doctor Homes and Doctor Watson but our new chairman has a mission to fulfill he needs to find allies and make alliance's so I ask you all pleas reach out to any contace's you have within the illuminati society for anyone who can help'' she says as the crowed disperses later in Rally's office `` okay so this little guy was the reason our power being draind?'' she says nodding at Shirou who nods as well ``yes and I'm very sorry for that miss Rally'' he says but she waves it off ``no no Shirou its okay from what Belle has told me you needed that power to get your strength back''
After that Rally took us to a new place and ohhhh boy did I like what I saw it was a train very sleek black with gold trim the engine was sleep smooth lines alight on the front sides and top I saw a wide wrap around wind shield giving a wide field of view as Rally leads us to a door in the side of the trains hull the door opened and slid aside allowing us to enter as we got inside we found our self's in what looked to be an engineer's ready room several lockers on one wall with name plats racks of tools and other forms of equipment as well as racks of overalls in deferent sizes as Rally hands on her hips looked around ``oh for crying out loud ware are they?'' she says walking over to a wall mounted call box
After picking up the receiver she put in a few numbers ``hay ware are you lot our new chairmen is here.....wait what?.......your in the party car?......okay we will be right there and don't get into anything till we get thire'' she says and hangs up and looks back at me a sheepish smile on her face ``sorry Chairmen Belle looks like were going to the party car sounds likr the crew has something set up to welcome you and your friends abroad'' she says as we exit the train and walk down a short way into a new train car the place looked to be a lounge car rich looking furniture and sft light came from tall lamps ``okay right this way this is our meeting lounge a nice place to meet up we have refreshments as well as other amenity's'' she says as we reach a far door and a cute white bunny with a short tufted of white head fur as well as a red vest and pocket watch and a dark tan colored fox with long red hair and green eyes with the same red vest and pocket watch
Both girls see me and bow ``welcome chairmen as well as your guests I'm Elly and this is Makoto'' she says gesturing to the fox next to her ``the two of us are the heads of hospitality'' she says as Makoto and Elly bow to us as Makoto smiles ``now then lets start the party'' she says as the door opens onto a large lounging room long sofa's and easy chairs doted all about we stood at the top of a wide stair case looking down too see into the center of the room was a round bar with a tall glass case that held a large assortment of bottles gathered around it was the rest of the crew two small long eared.....rabbits...maybe dogs walked up to us both had on a cute red vest as a third joined them one was a light brown and white in color almost like chocolate as for the other was a light green and white in color ``hi my names Terry head purser of this train'' she says as the other one steps up ``and I'm her sister Loppy I'm the second stew'' she says with a smile as a tall bunny walked up to us with gray and white fur bright purple eyes a smart looking white vest and apron a easy smile on her face ``hello Chairmen I'm Antyla the chief stew and head cook so you will be seeing lots of me and this little cutie'' she says patting Loppy on the head
As the party started we got to meet the head mechanic's two bunny's with long ears with what looked to be small fingers at the end's just like Terry and Loppy's ears found out that the two were named Meadow and Rose as the party wore on Rally stood up and tapped her win glass ``now everyone now that our new Chairmen has had a chance to meet everyone oh wares Pommy and Emeralda?'' she asked as a cheery voice calls from right next to me ``were right here Rally'' I blinked looking to my right then my left to my right was a white goat girl like Rally she was wearing a blue and gold crop top that showed off her belly and chest along with a matching blows that showed off her long furred legs as she handed me a glass with a fizzing clear liquid in it ``here dear a little something I cooked up its nice and refreshing'' she says before walking off a try of drinks held in one hand to my left I saw the one Rally called Pommy she was a cute black and white dog or rabbit like the other members of the crew `` nice too meet you Chairmen I will be helping you navigate the train as your navigator'' she says and pads off
After that Rally smiled ``okay now that greetings are out of the way we can get down to it'' Rally says before the lights dim and a hologram of the world we found ourselves in ``okay as you all know this is our world Avalion and as you know were in what has been named the Fay Cluster a grope of about five worlds that are both in the Material plane as well as the Fey Plane'' she says as my friends and i nod as the hologram shifted to one of the veil or an artist depiction of it ``and I'm sure you also know that to travel the threads or roots of the veil is suicide because the darkness would destroy your sky ship as easily as you would crush a soda can'' she says ``but we have a way to travel that between space safely now that Belle has become our chairmen `` at those words everyone started clapping as I tried ti sink deeper into my chair
As the party was winding down Rally waved me over to a long swiping staircase at the front of the party car that led up words ``well then Chairmen Belle I think its time I show you to your room on board the train'' she says as she and Pommy lead the way ``say I have been wanting to ask you have been calling this place as ``The Train'' but don't trains like this have a name?'' I ask as Pommy giggles ``hehe was wondering when you would ask that girls'' she says as the rest of the crew get up and as one they call out ``Welcome To The Twilight Express'' they say together
As the three of us top the stairs and come to a door ``okay here you go chairmen'' Rally says as the door opens onto an amazingly large suite like room a massive bed sat next to one wall set up by the far wall was a set of four large computer monitors with large speakers and a comfy looking chair on the wall closest to us was what I can tell was the ultimate sneak bar/pantry with a large/tall refrigerator as well as an l shaped dinning table and low backed chairs for having tea next to this was a door that led into a large bathroom very pretty blue and silver tiling a large speaker and a big screen tv on one wall a cozy looking shower as well as a stereo built into the wall right next to the scanter peace the large L shaped bath tube
As we exited the bathroom I found a cute work station next to the bed with a desk chair small remote work computer as well as an L shaped longing sofa lastly was a corner set up with a tall glass display case filled with items found on chairmen Homes travels thankfully only one small part was filled the rest was empty ready to be filled in the middle of the display corner was a shinnying metal spiral that went half way up to the ceiling ware floating was my engine blade
Later I sat in the cockpit of the Twilight Express the lay out was pretty simple in the front were two seats the right seat was for the pilot or engineer and the seat on the left was for the co pilot or co engineer just behind the pilots seat was the navigator's seat and be hind the co pilots seat was the com's seat I sat in the pilot's seat hand's lightly resting on the control yoke looking around me it all felt unreal the whoosh of the door opening made me turn my head to see who was coming in to my surprise I saw Chloe and Rally as the two girls entered Chloe spotted me ``oh Belle didn't think to see you up here?'' she says as Rally giggled ``yeah I just wanted to see what it felt like to be in control of something so'' I trailed off as I felt both Chloe and Rally hug me from behind ``you will be just fine Belle you have all of us right behind you'' Chloe says and Rally nods ``yeah you have what it takes to do this Chairmen'' Rally says as I nod ``yeah I know it just feels like a big task'' I say as Rally nods and pats the navigators seat
I get up and go over to the seat and sat down as Rally smiles ``here's our first stop'' she says tapping a few keys and a sky ship appeared on the display I saw the name of it ``Helm?'' I say looking up at Rally as she nods ``yes the Helm is our support craft and ware our allies will stay as we find them'' she says as Chloe whishes ``wow nevr seen a sky craft like that before'' Chloe says as Rally nods `` yes The Helm will work as a sort of home base as we begin our search''
The next day we all sat at out stations my hands on the control yoke as I piloted the twilight express in low orbit over Avalone the controls felt easy in my hands looking back over my shoulder ``okay Goh and signal's from The Helm?'' I ask as Goh nods ``yes its really faint but it appears to be to the west of us but with how faint it is I cant be 100% if I'm right'' he says and I nod ``that's okay Goh just do what you can'' I say turning the control yoke to put us on a west word heading befor looking over to Chloe ``hows the power to the bit staves looking Chloe?'' I say as she nods ``there looking good still a surprise that this is how we fly I mean I read about bit stave theory but it was hear say'' she says
After some time flying the door to the cockpit lifted up as Antyla walks in holding a serving tray in one hand ``good day everyone hand a feeling the two of you would be feeling hungry being cooped up in here `` she says with a wink at Chloe and I seeing as we were the only two in the cockpit rubbing the back of my head as Chloe blushed ``well here you two go'' Antyla says and pulls off the cover to revel a very tasty looking ring of club sandwich's with a pile of tasty looking fries in the middle ``here we have a club sandwich ringing some of my sister's tasty parmesan truffle fries'' she say as a ding sounds from the back as a small door opens in the wall as a small try slide's out with two cold drinks
Sometime later we saw The Helm out the main view window as Rally watch ``okay Ash send the code's and see if the helm pikes them up'' she says as Ash types away on his key board ``okay sending now'' after a few moments a beeping came from Ash's terminal as he looked over at the rest of us ``um.....some how were being hailed from the helm?'' he says as I look back at Rally ``does the helm have an on bored magic AI?'' I ask and she nods ``yeah it dose her names Amanda she was based on a shipwright that doctor homes knew back in his army days'' she says as Ash push's the button ``hello hello who is this?'' came a voice it sounded mescaline but with some femininity too it as well `` ``this is Ash I'm the com's operator for the twilight express we were looking for the helm it appears you found it for us''
After a moment the voice came back ``the helm lady says your on the up and up um....just come on board the hanger bay is open'' it says as indeed the large hanger bay started to open pushing the control yoke forward as Chloe moves the throttle forward as we touchdown on an elevated train station platform we saw a grope of four humans with some Fey-Kin in tow the four humans looked to be worse for wear some of their clothing looked old and tattered but they looked well fed
Later that day I was shoulders deep in a access panel on a Koubu called Wing ``wait you and your brother really did that?'' came Fin's voice from outside he's was the voice that we had heard over The Twilight Express's com's ``yeah yeah did you really?'' came the voice of Mint Fins Fey-Kin a female Chespin she was perching on his shoulder as I slid out from the panel ``yup my brother and I help to rob him blind we freed every one'' I say closeing the panel ``okay Fin try starting her up'' I say as Fin turn's a starter key in The Wing's cockpit as a churning hum starts up before a chug and a steady thrum as the mana generator takes over as Fin and I let out a YAHOOO at the same time ``okay the repair talisman should do the rest'' I say as Chloe shows up with a towel
As Chloe drew near she handed me the towel I wiped off my face before she reached up and tucked a long strand of hair behind my right ear ``hehe you know Belle you're going to need a hair cut soon'' she says before i heard a fit of giggling from behind me looking over my shoulder I saw Ayeka and Fin laughing before they saw me ``and what is so funny you two?'' I say as Ayeka bounds over to me wrapping a long fluffy ribbon around my wrist ``oh nothing Belle Fin and I was just admiring at how cute f a compile you and Chloe make'' she says and starts giggling again as my cheeks grow warm at her words
Later that night I sat in the hanger bay the large doors were open a cool evening breeze brushing at my long hair resting my chin on my knees looking at the stars go by my mind was running a mile a minuet trying to figure out who I needed to find to help take down Morgan's empire as I sat I felt two someone's walk up to me ``h...hi mister Belle m...mind if I join you?'' came a shy female voice turning my head I saw a cute bunny girl standing close by getting a better look se had white fur with patch's of black her eyes were a pretty amber color with pretty shy blue rimmed glasses long shoulder length black hair she had on a simple white t-shirt with the name of some local rock band with a fishnet body stocking under it lastly she had a white skirt that matched her t-shirt next to her was a leafeon holding two steaming mugs of hot coco in its long vines
As Jennie sat down next to me her friend Blue came and joined us her own mug of coco in her lap ``well Jennie looks like you made a new friend'' she says as Jennie blushes before her Leafeon comes over and jumps up into my lap before settling in ``mmmmm so soft and it smells so nice'' she says as Jennie blushes as Blue giggles her long Labrador ears loping forward as she holds her belly ``teehee teehee teehee Mint you are such a naughty girl you know that'' Blue says before looking at me before she comes close and nuzzles me ``mmmm but she's not wrong you do smell nice Belle'' she says as I blush ``oh um....not sure way that if I mean I haven't taken a shower yet'' I say as Blue giggles before Jennie grabs Blue by the ear ``sorry about her Belle Blue can get a bit frisky sometimes'' she says as Blue comes down
Some time later it had been a few weeks cense we started and we found a few brave souls who wanted to join the fight on this day I found myself in a dive cantina on a back water world on the Vail te place was close to the sky port looking next to me in a back booth was Malachi and Rune ``okay so how much longer do we have to wait till this contact to show up its after dark the moon is up'' came Malachi's voice ``yeah I'm with you Mal say Belle are sure this is the right place?'' Rune says as I nod ``yeah this is the place but we still have time the four of them are going to show up after moon rise so how about we get some food'' I say and wave down a server as we place our orders my cell phone beeps fishing it out of my pocket I looked at the screen it was a text from someone named Sparkle ``Hello Mr. Belle were here how about you get the four of us a drink I will have a kitsune fizz and the others will have a Star Moon ail a comet splash and a Mint Dazzler'' the text read and I typed back ``sure thing''
Making my way up to the bar counter I placed the order for the drinks as the bartender droid go's off to work I hear a chuckle next to me turning my head I saw an Umbreon and Glaceon both sitting on a bar stool and I recognized them ``wait Kaz..Freya what are you two doing here?'' I say as the two Eevee type Fey-Kin looked at my face and were as surprised as myself ``Belle that is you what brings you to this little back water world?'' Kaz says as Freya leaps up onto my shoulders and gave me a couple icy kisses to my cheeks ``my my its so nice to see you Belly last time we saw you was at the wedding I have to say you made a very handsome best man for Kaz hehe'' she says as Kaz chuckles ``yeah Freya's right thank you for that Belle the bachelor party was amazing still not sure where you found those Sylveon triplets'' he says as Freya gave me a dirty look with her ice blue eyes ``one day Belle your going to tell me what happened at that party the boys outright refuse to speak about it'' she say as I feel someone tugging on my pants leg as I look down I see Juniper bending down I have her some scratch's behind her ears that got her to clam down before the poochyena looked up and saw my face ``oh friend Belle good to see you''
After a few moments the three friends joined me at out booth as Malachi and Rune were surprised too see their fellow guild mates as we talked my phone buzzed pulling it out I looked at the screen it was a text from Sparkle ``well well looks like you lot will make an amazing team pleas come up to the roof top garden the view is amazing'' the text says as I look at the others and wave them over as we head to a spiral stair case
A few moments of claiming up we reached the roof top garden it was amazing plants of varying heights colors and scents some even glowed in the moon light as we looked I saw someone sitting at a table a young girl looked to be the same age as me she spotted me and waved me over as I got closer I got a good view of her long black hair in two long pony tails silver eyes fairly flat in the chest she had on a white and red kimono like outfit with a matching kitsune mask on the side of her head ``ah mister Belle its nice to finally put a face to the name'' she says and pours two glasses wine the blue liquid twinkled in the moon light ``I have to say your guild master Misu was right you really are cute''
After some talking Sparkle pulled out an old looking map and placed it on the table ``okay now down to the matter at hand you see this worl has something very special on it a Mystery Dungeon that only dark types can find or those who have some dark type power within them'' she says and unfolds the map
