A few days later we found our self's in the tall mountains to the north of that small town Sparkle's map had led us to this mountain town we lost Sparkle about half way here she had sprained her ankle right before the trail head so she made her way back to the port town but thankfully we made it up to the town of Lonesome Pine's the town was more like a city in the tree's it was lovely we sat in a booth in a eatery called The Warming Hut the place was staffed by Fey-Kin the table that my friends and I found our self's seated at was being served by a cute Kirlia named Yui and her younger two gardevoir sisters Linna a shiny version gardevoir and Midori a normal gardevoir ``so you kids enjoy the food?'' Yui asked as she and Linna came by our table ``yeah it was really tasty'' I say as the others nod and Malachi lets out a happy purr as Yui Linna and Midori pull up chars to join us as Yui looks at me `` so you lot are new around town what brings you to our little part of the world?'' Yui asked
As she did I looked at Kaz and Malachi who both nodded ``well just to let you three know were an explorer's team from The Wanderlust Guild'' I say placing a hand on Rune and Malachi's head ``and this two are from Team Maelstrom Malachi is there leader and Rune is his second in command'' I say and move a hand to gesture to Kaz Freya and Juniper ``and this three are a part of Wanderlust its self'' I say right before everyone piles on me and declares ``and this guy is Belle leader of Team Trail Blazers and leader of this explorer's team'' they say causing me to blush as Yui and Linna to giggle as Midori smiles ``well Belle I can clearly see that your team mates really trust in you `` she say as Yui and Linna look at me ``but anyway what is an Explorer's team doing way out here were such a small city I didn't think we were really on any guilds map?'' ``Linna says as Yui nods I nod and reach into my pocket and pull out the map that Sparkle gave me ``were looking for this place'' I say unfolding the map ``according to our contact theirs a mystery dungeon at this location and were here to explore it'' I say as the three girls nod
Later that night I sat in our shared room at the Cats Eye Inn Run Kaz and Malachi were watching TV Freya was sitting next to me fussing about the nails on my right hand ``honestly Belle you really need to take better care of yourself dear your are a prince now `` she says running a nail file over the last one ``now on to the other hand'' she says walking across my lap and set to work on my left hand ``now just sit still and let big sister Freya do her work'' she says as I was about to protest ``hush now little chime I don't want to hear it from you little brother'' she says with a smile as I hear Juniper let out a giggle ``best get used to this little Belle once Freya has found someone she likes to dote over she rarely lets them go without her personnel touch'' she says stretching a bit before coming over and looks over Freya's work a paw on her chin ``hummm you know Freya a little ice blue nail polish would look very pretty on him'' she says as my eyes go wide as Freya squeals in joy ``ohhhhhh Juniper you are a genius my colored nail polish's are in my bag in the bath room can you get it for me please?'' she says
The next morning I awake to find myself almost incased by fluffy bodies Rune and Freya were resting on my pillow with me Malachi and Kaz were sleeping on my right side cuddled close to each other whale Juniper was resting on my chest I must have been petting her in my sleep my right hand was resting on her small back the little poochyena looked happy a smile on her muzzle after a moment I saw her eyes start to flutter open the pretty green of her eyes meeting my blue ones ``friend Belle please put your hand back and pet me some more?'' she says in a whisper placing my hand on her back she smiled as I started to pet her after a few moments I hear a pair of cute giggles from above me looking up I see Freya and Rune looking at me ``hehe my my Belle your nails look really nice Juni was right that ice blue color does look good on you'' Freya says as Rune nuzzles my cheek ``we need to get you away from Freya something tells me its only a mater of time before she starts picking out cute girls clothing for you to try on Belle'' that got a chuckle from ever one on the bed
Later we found our self's in the lobby of the Cat's Eye Inn to grab some breakfast before we headed out for the mystery dungeon as we eat a Minccino and Vulpix came to our table the two Fey-Kin were wearing some kind of orange vest like garment on their body's and a matching cap on their heads ``hello are you Belle by any chance?'' the Minccion asked as I nodded ``yeah that's me'' I say and the Minccino smiled ``oh very good I'm daisy I work for fairy wing delivery's this is my partner Rosy'' Daisy says as Rosy comes up a messenger bag's on her back as Daisy rummages in them and pull's out a letter with my name on it and with a flourish she handed it to me ``thanks Daisy'' I say and hand her and Rosy a couple gold coins each the two fey-kin looked shocked at the coins
As the two girls left Malachi came over as I read the letter ``so whose it from?'' he asked as Kaz smiles ``is it from a secret admirer?'' he says as Freya gives him a smack to the back of his head after rereading it again I looked up at everyone ``well gang looks like Yui set us up with a local guides who are going to help us get to the mystery dungeon even provide us meals'' I say as we gather our belongings dropping off the room key at the front desk
Later on we arrived at Trail Head Park a small public park with a nice sized playground we sat close to a statue that depicted a local hero who battled the legendary dark Fey-Kin god Giratina at the very seat of its power The Crown Spire walking back to the bench I saw Yui Linna and Midori standing with the others as I approached Yui saw me and waved and I did the same ``WOW didn't think we would see yu three out here are you girls out....for a...walk'' I tail off as I see some backpacks on the ground close to Yui ad the others Linna smiles ``nope were your guides'' she says as Midori claps me on the back ``yup that's right we know this place like the back of our hands so who better'' she says as Yui smiles ``and we wanted to make sure that you all would be eating better food then trail rations''
Sometime later on the trail ``WOW this place is so cool'' Malachi says as he runs ahead of us with Juniper hot on his heels as the two reach the top of the hill they stopped dead in their tracks as the rest of us reached them we saw what had them transfixed up ahead of us on the other side of a shallow valley was the imposing site of The Crown Spire looking like an eldritch god looking over the land it sent shivers down my spine reaching into my pocket pulling out my watch I saw the time was starting to get close to sun down putting my watch back I looked at the others ``okay everyone lets set up base camp in the valley'' I say un slinging my backpack before opening it up ``so the rest of you can head down and set up camp I'm going to set up the relay so we can have a comes link with the express''
I say as the others set out for the valley but Linna Yui and Rune stay behind with me as I pull out the relay box with a long stack before looking at the three of them ``its okay girls you can head on down with te others no need to hang around with me'' I say as the three of them shack their heads as Rune comes up to me ``sorry Belle yur not getting read of us that easily'' I let out a chuckle and give Rune an ear rub before she jumped up on my shoulder and nuzzled my cheek leaving a little bit of frost on my cheek after placing the relay we headed down to the shallow valley as we reached the base camp site we saw that the large infallible tent was all set up all that was left was to add all the cool stuff
As night fell on our camp site I sat outside in a warm hoodie with Kaz Freya and Rune star gazing as I read over the notes that Sparkle had sent with us ``okay so dark types have some kind of conation to this dungeons aura'' I say looking over the notes for the fifth time ``but it just doesn't say how were to open the entrants'' I think looking up from the note book then in the direction of the crown spire my mind wondering if we had what it took to unlock this dungeons secrets my thoughts were derailed as Yui came by with a plate of Smores ``here you go Belle nice tasty Smores the perfect camping desert hehe'' Yui says with a giggle placing the plate on a small camp table next to me as I close the note book and slipping it into my nape sake ``thanks Yui those smell really good'' I say as Yui takes a seat next to me looking up at the star filled sky as I take a bit of one of the Smores my eyes going wide at the flavor ``wow Yui this is so good I never tasted Smores like this what did you do?'' I ask as Yui giggles ``oh just a little cinnamon venal bean glaze I put on the marshmallows''
Three days later ``way won't this thing open!!!!!!!!'' Malachi's voice rings out and eco's down the valley ``and yelling like a lunatic is not going to magically make it opening Malachi'' Rune says as she stares at one of the black stone spire's I saw her close her eyes placing a paw on the stone her eyes glowing then dim as she shacks her head ``sorry no luck all I saw was darkness'' she says padding back over to me ``that's okay Rune it was worth a shot'' I say looking up at the sun before fishing out my pocket watch and seeing the time ``okay everyone lets pack it up and head back to camp we can brain storm some more tonight'' I say as we start to make our way back down after reaching camp Yui greeted us with a smile and the scent of dinner cooking that got Malachi's mood to brighten ``what smells so yummy?'' he asked as Yui giggles ``that would be some fresh fish that Midori got us and some fresh fries and onion rings as well'' that news had brightened all our moods
After dinner we all sat in an over sized soaking tub letting the warm water relax our body's and minds after such a crape day as we soaked I closed my eyes letting my mind wonder a memory came to me my brother Lloyd and I were younger maybe 10 or 12 I was sitting in the grass my cheek smarting after I had been bitten up by some bullies thankfully Lloyd was healing me up with magic ``you know Belle I may have a trick you can use next time you fight those bullies you interested?'' he asked and I nodded some time later I stood across from Lloyd ``okay Belle now imagine your mana as a spiders web'' he says as a shiver go's up and down my spine ``yuck Lloyd you know spiders give me the creeps'' I say as he laughs ``yes yes I know but you sure blasted Ariados into next week with that mana bolt but anyway okay try thinking of your mana as a bubble try pushing it out like that'' he says as I start to push out my mana around me ``how big do you want me to make it?'' I say ``not too big make it three times your arm length...okay that's good''
My eyes shot open and I stood up jumping out of the soaking tub as naked as the day I was born ``Belle ware are you going?'' Yui calls out to me ``um.....i will tell you later'' I say ``told you those onion rings were too spicy'' Rune says as Yui blushes as I moved away from our camp I took a few deep breaths and expanded my mana around me and started searching it didn't take me long but I found it a long tendril of mana dark in power leading right back to The Crown Spire making my way back to the soaking tub I got back in as everyone was looking at me as I let out a contented ah before I opened my eyes seeing everyone looking at me ``hehe I think I figured it out'' I say
The next day after a hearty breakfast as we made our way up the path I explained my plan everyone liked it Malachi went so far as to call me a genius that made me fidget ``no no that's more my brothers thing'' I say as both Freya and Rune jump onto the trunk of a fallen tree as I passed by both girls took my face in there paws as Rune spoke first ``Belle you need to understand your own self worth'' she says as Freya nods ``yes Rune is right Belle I may not f meet your brother but I can tell that you are just as smart as him little Chime'' she says using the nickname she invented for me but both of them were right I had to start seeing myself worth I look up at both girls ``thanks you two I will keep that in mind if this plan works'' I say as the two of them giggle before jumping down
After the short hike we stood at the top our packs off ``okay here we go'' I say as Rune jumps up onto my right shoulder ``okay Rune just focus on that dark type move you used let that energy flow out but hold it steady I'm going to reach out with my mana's aura and link it with yours'' I say as both Rune and I close our eyes reaching out with my right hand as Rune does the same with her right paw feeling my mana flow around me like a gentle wind then I felt Runes aura hers was tentative almost timid maybe even shy I reached out to it a gentle hand
As I did I felt Rune's aura reach out to mine and take hold like the grasp of a gentle lover and hold it close I heard Rune let out a gasp but the link held `` okay now the hard part now we have to find that tread'' I say as Rune chuckled ``well now you tell me the hard part Belle'' she says as we search it didn't take long to find it and find the entrance all it took was one strong push as I opened my eyes I saw one of the two taller spire's start to glow and a seam appear towards the bottom then widen into a door way i heard Rune let out a cheer then a gasp `` um.....B...Belle you you have'' she never finished as the others blurted it out ``YOU HAVE RUNE'S EARS AND TAILS'' they say as I blink ``I um....have what now?'' I say as Freyacomes over and pulls a mirror from her saddle bag ``...........AHHHHHHHHH'' I screamed out ``it looks cute on you Belle'' Malachi says as I blink ``wait really?''
After that little crazy moment it turned out somehow Rune and I did something called battle bounding but we were not in combat so it did not last long as we entered the passage way I saw torches lining the walls glowing softly showing us a spiral stair case leading down making our way down Kaz Malachi and myself were in front my absorb shield up and ready as we went deeper into the dark I felt a breeze brush my cheek the scent of grass lands and.....tilled earth? touch my nose `` guys hold up'' I say as we all come to a halt ``I have a funny feeling Kaz Malachi get behind me with the other.....pleas?'' I say and the two look at each other ``okay Belle as long as your sure'' Malachi says as he and Kaz get behind me with the others
As we round the last loop of the spiral staircase I spotted the landing and a door tall made of wood with metal bands it was cracked open a beam of sun light streamed in followed by the scent of tilled earth and the smell of.......crops? yeah that was the smell of fresh crops as I looked back at the others I saw the same bewildered look on their face's/muzzles reaching for the handle I pushed it open
Bright sun light meet my eyes after blinking a few time my surroundings came into view was......this a market? What looked to be farmers stalls set up on a long street tall buildings looked to of been built of stone or maybe bricks not 100% sure as we made our way out the smells and sites of the market hit our noses and our eyes we took that moment to split up and see what we can find out about this place
As Malachi Freya and I walked down the market row I heard someone call out to me ``NYA you there lad in the face clothing with they..oh my two very fine looking Fey-Kin lady by your side'' I turned my head and saw a Meowth standing next to a large blanket with an assortment of produce and bottles filled with what looked to be honey or milk jars of what looked to be some kind of jelly cut into square dice cubes as we got closer the Meowth was pretty cute he had white fur with a kind of orange cream patch's ``Nya welcome the stall of Twilight Moon Farm what can I interest you in?'' the Meowth says with a flourish Malachi and Freya started looking ``WOW is this honey bee jelly?'' Mal asked and the Meowth nods ``yes good eye my good Shinx yes that is honey bee jelly made by the farms own bee's'' he says with a smile
As we were looking a white rabbit with glasses a red bow on the back of its head walked out of a door way at the back of the stall and was followed by a black rabbit carrying a tall white and silver cross like shield with a gleaming white and silver breast plate on its chest ``Theo dear do we have some customers?'' came the voice of the white rabbit and the Meowth turned around ``ah yes miss Chi we have some very nice ones'' Theo says rubbing his paws together as Chi walks up to him and gives him a pat on the head like he was a house pet before turning her gaze on me ``my my you are a handsome lad my names Chi of house Ribbon Moon and this'' she says gesturing to the black rabbit ``Cloud my best friend and bodyguard'' she says as Cloud bows as Chi smiles up at me ``and who might you be?'' she says ``oh yes sorry just a bit overwhelmed by all this'' I say gesturing to the farmers market and the whole town Chi nods ``yes I'm sure to the eyes of someone from the outside who's used to exploring run of the mill Mystery Dungeons but thires more to this one then meets the eye''
Chi looked at and I blinked ``oh yes um...my names Belle of house'' she held up a paw looking me strata in the eyes ``not here pleas come with me'' she says as heads for the door she came from as the black rabbit holds it open for her as she beckons for me to follow her in side was a table meant for taller individual's as well as an ornate sofa she headed for the sofa and leaps onto it like she had done it her whole life patting a spot next to her ``please join me Belle'' she says and I join her the sofa was soft as I leaned back I heard her let out a gasp ``b...belle may I see your right hand?'' she asked and I moved my hand to her and she looked it over as her gaze fell onto the ring ``oh my I knew it'' she says and looks up at me ``you're from the Lucis family aren't you?'' she says her eyes glinting with held back tears ``how do you know'' I say seeing her tears as she smiles ``your ring I saw it once it was on your father's right hand just like the one you have now'' she says holding out her small paws ``my i see it pleas?'' she asked eyes pleading I node my head slipping the ring from my right hand and gently placing it in her paws
She looks the ring over her paws tracing over ever inch of it till her paws stop on a spot on the inner band of the ring she held it up to her eye ``oh my stars......it can't be'' she says as I look at her ``what is it?'' I say my heart skipping a beat as she holds the ring up to me as I fish out some glasses from my pocket slipping them on my nose I heard chi giggle beside me I look down at her ``what?'' I say as she points at the glasses on my nose ``those look really cute on you Belle'' she says as I smile ``it's a fashion statement besides his little glasses are pretty cool'' I say looking at the inner band of the ring
As I looked I saw it some kind of insignia a stylized A it was just missing the line linking the two parts the bottom arms of the A were flared out to the sides and pointing inwards too looking almost like a spear head blinking a few times my cell phone gave a chime picking it up I saw a more clear picture of the insignia I saw that there was an extra line just under the bottom of the A almost like a shield or a sail but looking more closely I saw some runes as well the style was very elegant and flowing almost like water flowing down a river I showed the screen to Chi to see if she can read them after a bit of looking Chi shook her head ``sorry Belle but I cant read them theirs some kind of magic blocking me from reading those runes'' she says but her eyes glint ``but I think I know way'' she says looking at me ``the ring does not think you're ready yet to fully unlock it'' she says
That night Chi had invited us to the farm and we got to meet the owner's one was named Danny who was a cute femboy who helped get the produce ready for the market then I saw Corey a short boy who was on the fem side like Danny he was in charge of getting the produce from the fields along with the other workers who appeared to be rabbits like Chi then we meet Parker the true owner of the farm turned out he was a Fey-Kin trainer like me
As I sat on the balcony the moon was raising a pal blue agents the night sky my phone started ringing picking it up I saw it was Chloe's number ``hi Chloe'' I say as she giggles ``well hello to you as well Belle how's the search going?'' she asked and I filled her in on what happened she was amazed by the market and all the Fey-Kin and True-Fey who were working the stalls we ended the call when I heard a knock at the door placing the phone down I went over and opened the door and saw Chi standing there clad in a very elegant blue night gown a large book held under one arm ``good evening mister Belle may I come in'' she asked in a very polite voice I step aside so she can come in as she entered I took note of the book ``so Chi did you want me to read you a bed time story?'' I say and Chi looks at me a look of shock on her face ``i..i..i I'm a little rabbit you know'' she snaps back cheeks glowing red I laugh as I go to my back pack and dig out a small bag with my name on it and join Chi on the sofa and pulled out a fluffy looking cookie Chi looked at it eyes wide ``oh what's that?'' she asked and I smiled ``oh this its probably one of the best cookies you will ever taste in your life'' I say breaking it in half before poring some lavender tea for she and i
Sliding the tea cup over to her I smiled ``go ahead give it a try'' she looks at it sniffing it I saw her eyes brighten ``i....i do but I'm not a little rabbit Belle I don't need a cookie as a way to say your sorry'' she says and I chuckle ``I'm not trying to say sorry I just want to share a cookie and some tea with a good friend and find out what the book is you have with you'' I say and her cheeks blush again even brighter ``s..sorry Belle its my training as you know I'm a princess I have to be careful'' she says taking a deep breath being letting out a long sigh ``I know what you said was meant as a joke Belle thank you I think I needed that'' she says taken a bite of the cookie eyes going wide
After our little snack break Chi smiled and patted her tummy and let out a cute little burp before quickly covering her mouth with a paw before taken a long swig of tea be pulling a rather large black leather covered book on the cover of the book was a crest made of some kind of silver/white metal just like my ring looking at the crest it looked to be a spear head flanked by a pair of wings spread up words almost touching wing tips I looked to Chi ``this crest I feel like I know it'' i say as Chi looks at me ``I had a feeling you would'' she says a sad look on her face ``this is the crest of a secret part of your family'' she says as I my eyes go wide ``your father was the leader of a chapter of the Assassin's a secret order who fight for the freedoms of others
The next day I was in the fields my mind still reeling from what Chi had told me some how my father was an assassin but not a bad one's somehow this order were the good guys and dad made his own chapter in Camelot city so that was way Morgan had my father killed after his exile then killed all the assassin's that were hiding in the city so no one could stand up to her ``Belle are you doing alright?'' came Naru's voice from a berry bush that he and I had been working on looking up at the Kitsune Pikachu I smiled and nodded ``yeah I'm okay Naru just got a lot on my mind'' I say as he comes closer looking me right in the eyes ``are you sure?'' he says as I nod ``yes Naru I'm fine really I am OUCH'' I say as Naru nips me on the nose not hard enough draw blood but enough to let you know that he was not buying what I was telling him ``ouch Naru what the hell that hurt'' I say as he jumps down from the bush and pads over to me the gets in my lap and places both his paws on both my cheeks looking me right in the eyes again before giving my nose a gentle lick ``Belle I'm not buying this you have barely talked at all today your looking like a Drowsy has been eating your dreams'' he says as Run Malachi and Freya pad over ``yeah Naru is right Belle'' Malachi says as Rune nods and Freya looked at me with sad eyes ``yes Little Chime don't you trust us?'' she says as Rune nods ``yeah Belle aren't we friends?'' all there words cut deep into my heart my soul I loved every single one of them holding out my arms all of them came close and I hugged them all tight ``I'm sorry everyone I felt two sets of paws hug me from behind I didn't need to look I knew it was Kaz and Juniper there mana was easy to pick up
Later that day after I filled my friends in on what Chi and I had been talking about and way I was out of sorts for most of the day they all under stood how I felt as we walked Chi was snaking on a cherry tomato ``okay were almost there'' she says as we head into a cave that a was off from the farm soon we came to a large camber and what sate in that camber was a large shy ship they thing was massive a large wing span held four mana jet engines at the back on the front of the wings were two prop type engines that helped power the mana jets two long forward mandibles jutted forward thire size looked like you could fit one or two rail cares inside as we got closer I saw a door in the main body of the sky ship open
As we drew closer to the open door a small black and gray looking drone popped out the front of it looked like a three pointed star with a center eye that looked like two half diamonds stacked on top of each other stared at us ``........Beep.....Belle Winterfell..........Chi Princess High Mage'' came the female voice as the little drone bobbed in the air before zooming over to me ``I see so you're the one who reclaimed the station and the train within'' she says then gives what i can only describe as a nod ``very well my name is Alpha I'm the magic Ai that maintains The Moonlight''
