It seems that the pesky tiny itch Sceptile was feeling at the back of his throat had been caused by none other than Kerberos. The zoroark hadn’t been as “lucky” as his companion, missing the tongue in its entirety and crashing instead against the mountain-sized uvula, where even with his nanoscopic size, his presence was soon made apparent to the vice-guildmaster. However, what might have seemed like an initial blessing, soon became the opposite, as it became clear that Sceptile didn’t register Kerbero’s presence for nothing other than just a small irritation. To make matters worse, Sceptile’s recent belch had stunned Kerberos so much that he had started to lose his grip on the fleshy surface. The brief moment of confusion had caused him to not notice his claws slowly slipping. Before he knew it, he was well below his starting position, almost reaching the curve at the bottom of the uvula. Not even the copious amounts of drool present everywhere seemed capable of saving the unfortunate zoroark from a likely plunge into the vast abyss below, unless he found a way of escaping the uvula soon.

From his precarious position, Kerberos was treated to two different landscapes: Ahead, all he could see was the vast tongue extending far into the distance, warmly illuminated by the light entering the mouth. The outside world was barely discernible for the zoroark, appearing as just a blurry mess of lights and shapes. On the other hand, when Kerberos looked down, all he could see was a gaping dark abyss capable of swallowing whole villages. He couldn’t even manage to see the bottom of Sceptile’s throat. That of course didn’t mean that there wasn’t something at the bottom though, as it was soon made apparent by a deep, bassy and rather ominous rumbling coming from its depths. Indeed, those thundering roars were both a sign of a very active belly down there as well as the early signs of an even worse belch coming right up.

Meanwhile in the realm of those normal-sized, Sceptile’s peaceful afternoon came to a sudden end when, after a brief moment of insistent knocking, his door was suddenly blasted open by a rather anxious and oddly coloured Lycanroc. The sudden loud sound of the door crashing against the wall was enough to startle Sceptile. In his surprise, he swallowed saliva by reflex, completely unaware of the fact that such simple act had sent Kerberos down on a one-way trip into his belly.

After recovering from the initial surprise Sceptile asked what Lycanroc’s business was, clearly annoyed at the fact that his free day had been ruined by work once again, but not before letting out a loud burp. Seeing that his superior was angry at him, Lycanroc made sure to quickly compose himself and inform the vice-guildmaster of an ongoing search effort for two missing explorers. To Sceptile’s surprise, not only had the two explorers gotten lost whilst teleporting back to base, but apparently the psychic types around the guild had been picking up the signal from their badges all day and every time the signals seemed to point towards his very room. This fact alone worried the vice-guildmaster quite a lot, since it could mean that he hadn’t been as alone as he initially thought. Just thinking about it was enough to cause the grass type to visibly blush, much to Lycanroc’s confusion. Still, he hadn’t seen a single soul in his room throughout the entire day, unless something else had happened to those two explorers…
