There’s only one thing worse than being transported into a foreign strange world by divine forces out of your control and that’s doing so whilst reduced to the size of a mere speck, no taller than 1mm, due to some legendary pokemon’s incompetence at their job. That was the situation Noc the mewgia and Pruny the cat had found themselves in after being summoned by a mysterious being for a supposed grandiose and heroic quest in which they’d save the world. Of course, that was the plan before said mythical botched the summoning ritual. It didn’t help the fact that after realizing their mistake, that deity had decided to cut their losses and abandon them to their fate, opting for another attempt at summoning a team of heroes.

As such, the two nanos were forced to brave this new world whilst being smaller than any bug type around them, constantly having to dodge the colossal paws of anyone unknowingly crossing paths with them. For weeks they survived by sneaking into other pokemon’s homes and stealing crumbs for food or lint and other materials for gear. With time they got so good at “borrowing” from others that they started getting cocky, a bit too much in fact. After having heard about a supposed wonder orb capable of making wishes come true, the true nanos devised a plan for getting their tiny paws on such precious item without their owner noticing. They travelled day and night until they finally reached the entrance to a cave at Mount Cleft that would take them directly to the home of the orb’s owner. The first stages of their plan went swimmingly. They had managed to descend towards the mountain’s core without crossing paths with any gigantic pokemon. Even if that had been the case, over the past weeks both nanos had gotten very adept at using their size to remain undetected for their own benefit. At the bottom of the cave, they found a rather simple team base. A sign on a nearby wall indicated in bold letters that it belonged to a certain team ACT, but that name didn’t ring any bells for either of the two nanos. This would be a mistake they would regret soon enough. The inside of the base was neatly organized and very spacious, especially from the perspective of the two specks. However, they didn’t linger for too long looking around the base after they spotted the coveted orb just sitting in the centre of the room. Blinded by the prospect of recovering their lost size plus tons of additional wishes, both nanos made a mad dash towards the orb, ignoring the shadow quickly enveloping their entire surroundings.

Suddenly, a gargantuan orange paw landed right in front of them, nearly squashing into two tiny red spots and almost driving them deaf by the booming sound of its step. The two stunned nanos didn’t have much time to get their bearings before a gigantic hand eclipsed the sky and descended upon them. It seems that in their hurry to get the orb, they had failed to spot one of the members of team ACT, a Charizard, lounging nearby after a hard day rescuing folks and catching criminals. Even if the two nanos were often invisible to the naked eye of regular pokemon, that didn’t apply for experienced rescuers like Charizard. He quickly spotted them running towards the orb and easily guessed their intentions. After snatching the two crumb-sized specks he pondered for a moment what to do with them, given the fact that they were too tiny to properly arrest. However, his line of thought was soon interrupted by a roaring groan coming from his belly, reminding him that he hadn’t had dinner yet. This in turn, gave him an idea. With a sly smirk on his face, he suspended both nanos pinched between his claws above his head, and slowly opened his gaping maw, intentionally putting on a show for the two minuscule soon-to-be snacks, letting them know that they were about to venture a dungeon fit for someone their size…
