Parcly Taxel: A long time ago one of my travel covers featured a snow-capped Mount Fuji, but we didn't actually climb—
Spindle: Don't you know? Windigos like me preserve the pristine state of this mountain during winter – technically it's a dormant volcano, but that doesn't figure in the popular perception – and that includes closing it off to hikers during that season. But it's summertime now.
Parcly: (chuckles) So Spindle will be my guide up the Gotemba (御殿場) trail, which is the longest and least frequented of the four major hiking routes. She asked me to train for this well in advance, which I did, so I'm feeling rather confident that I can reach the summit to see the famed sunrise.
Spindle: The mountain and a large area around its base are a World Heritage Site too. My dear genie always visits at least one of them on each trip if possible.
