Deep down below, bubbles rise up from a particular shipwreck quite a bit more often than one would expect, as an experienced lizard freediver had claimed it as his training area. He could practically navigate its depths with his eyes closed now, and not only had reaching it become trivial, he could remain for over 20 minutes if he so chose. Despite his lungs already being incredibly well trained, he continues to steadily improve, with no biological limit in sight.
In his latest training session, he's sat down on a barrel in the ship's deepest level, accessed through a hole in its hull that looks out at the seabed. While he'd made an attempt to nap at first, it still wasn't happening, so he stayed as calm as he could, very slowly burning through his oxygen. A time like this is easy to him, but he'll be going far this time - he'll only be returning to the distant surface once he's broken 25 minutes, when a blue blush has formed on his face and he can no longer keep his breath secure. For now, he awaits the coming struggle, as his chest heaves and he occasionally bubbles out some slightly-stale air.
This is a tribute to my favorite aquaphilia game, "Swimming of a free-diving girl", made by aaa aaa. The environment, the gear, and the interface are all based on what's in that. Of course, there's no furry stuff in it... But, a sequel's in progress, so fingers crossed!
