Summer Time With Friends In The Dungeon
Part 2
The sound of babbling water meet my ears slowly I opening my eyes I was met with the site of a large fountain standing at least ten feet high maybe even more looking closely I saw it was 4 tread maybe five at the bottom ware the large water pool it sat in were small angel like figures some with trumpets and other horn like instruments higher up were taller angel like figures some holdig swords and scales others with shields and scales and lastly at the top was a Lugia wings out spread and on its left side was a Latios wings spread and on the right was a Latias then it hit me I was in Unity Plaza back in Alto Mare
Looking around I was amazed it was Alto Mare but....there was no one around like it was a ghost town but I was abel to smell the scent of fresh baked breed it must have been from Fen's bakery she always made the best breed and backed treats ``oh my this place is rather lovely'' came a female voice turning to my right I saw the source it was a.....a.....not sure who I was looking it she had a long serpent like body covered in black fur with cream colored fur on its head and tail tip and along her under belly the fure on her head was long and somehow flowed and shimmered she even had two long stands of the cream colored fur on her back that almost looked like small wings her face was almost fox like with a small pointed nose a pair of blue/pink eyes looked at me a head jewel of the same color as her eyes sate on her forehead as she waved me over
Coming over I saw that she was bigger up close ``well it is nice to meet you Belle my name is Requiem'' she says and holds out a hand and I reach out and well her hand completely covered up my own ``care to join me for some tea?'' she asked and I nodded ``sure way not'' I say taken a seat at the table Requiem snaps her fingers as a cute Vulpix and Kirlia warring maid outfit's pushing a tea cart as they approached our table they came to a stop and a fancy tea pot was placed on our table along with matching tea cups and a snake tray with finger sandwich's with cream cheese and Pecha berry scones with some kind of cream in a jar and lastly some small cakes with a chocolate custard filling
As the tea was poured Requiem looked at me like she was sizing me up as she raised her tea cup to her lips taken a long sip before letting out a happy squee sound befor the sound of flapping wings reached us ``oh good looks like out last two gusts are here'' she says as the kirlia adds two new place settings as the Vulpix brings over an extra chair as Saphira landed light as a feather cross the plaza she looked like a normal Lugia now just one pair of wings but to my surprise I saw my brother Lloyd jump down from her
back before running over to Requiem and I ``okay belle start talking I was just closing my eyes to sleep when I feel like I'm flying then I see I'm on the back of a Lugia and she tells me were going to high tea with my brother and a friend of hers'' he says hands on his hips but it was easy to tell that he enjoyed his flight on Saphira's back but his demeanor swiftly changed when the smell of the tea and snakes reached his nose ``oh there really is tea.....are those pecha berry and cream cheese sandwich's?'' he asked and I nodded ``yes they are and there really tasty too same for the little pies too''
After a bit of snaking and tea drinking Lloyd settled down and relaxed even Saphira joined in as well after two more pots of tea and three more snake trays we all sat back full warm and happy as Requiem and Saphira looked at each other ``okay now that we have had some tea and snacks now we need to truly talk'' Saphira says
The next day I started to wake in my bunk I felt someone holding my hand looking down I saw Ayeka sleeping on my belly a fluffy ribbon feeler wrapped around my left hand reaching out with my right hand I gave her a genteel caress on the cheek she let out an adorable little purr before one eye opened reveling one sky blue eye ``mmmm good morning Belle I hope you had a good sleep'' she says before getting up padding her way up to me before kissing me on the cheek before jumping out of my bunk stretching then walking out with a happy/cocky sway to her stride holding a hand to my right cheek feeling ware Ayeka had kissed me it still felt warm and a little tingly must have been some of her fairy type magic but then I felt my left cheek ware Chloe had kissed me a strange feeling came over me ``wow looks like I have two girls after me hehe well life sure is strange sometimes'' I say to no one as I get up and dressed
Parting the privacy curtain as I entered what was the crew mess I saw a flashing light on the dinning table pushing the button a flat screen monitor came to life as the image of Purah appeared ``Belle good to see that your up and moving Chloe filled me on what happened you must be one of the luckiest guys walking sweetie but still you look god for staring death in the eye'' she says as I nod ``yeah I'm okay now thankfully I'm healing up thanks to Maggie and her mom's help'' I say as Purah's face takes on a look of worry ``look Belle the reason way I'm calling you is there's been some developments up here on the surface `` she says as my eye brow's go up ``what's going up there Purah?'' I ask ``a new explores team just showed up about an hour ago there called The Rouge Traders this fellows look like bad news Belle there packing a lot of fire power for traders and they have someone from The Imperium Guild they left some gardevoir inquisitor along with some load mouth preacher who's spreading the gospel of the Imperium guild saying they ae the only guild who can save us all from the evils of the mystery dungeons'' she says with a gagging sound after words ``but whats worst they forest me to move my trailer away from the entrance of the dungeon'' she says then looks at me ``so please be careful Belle those Rouge Traders look like they won't hesitate to kill if it means a big score'' she says as the screen goes dark
Some time later Chloe and I hide in a crack in the wall as a small team of Rouge Traders walked past us Naru and Nari peeked their heads out ``okay looks like they're gone `` Naru says as Chloe Nari and I slip out of the crack in the wall ``crap those Rouge Trader punks are every ware hw are we going to find the dungeons core if we keep having to hide?'' Naru says paws on his hips tails thumping the ground stirring up dust as I reach down and give him some pet's behind his ears causing him to let out a cute purring yipping sound as we kept walking Sammy leading the way ``relax Naru I think I have us on the right mana stream now we should be getting close'' he says
After a bit of walking Sammy made a sudden left turn leading us right to a solid wall and Sammy stops looking at the wall as if it was a nasty bug that had landed onto his food ``wait how son of a...way I was sure this was the right path'' he says as Naru pads up next to Sammy clapping him on the back ``its okay Sammy every one gets lost in a mystery dungeon from time to time'' as i looked at the wall the glasses on my face started to scan the wall ``sir looks like this wall is not fully there'' came Jarvis's voice ``so what are you saying Jarv that it's a fake fall?'' I say ``no sir it is there but also not according to my scan's a plush of mana would be right right to open the wall allowing you and the others to move forward''
Walking up to the wall I placed my right hand on it feeling the cool stone closing my eyes and reaching out with my mana I felt the wall not just with my hand but with my mana as well feeling around I found it like a key hole I pushed on it feeling the wall slowly start to open pushing harder the opening grow in size till it was just right ``okay lets go'' I say as the others move past me and I fallow them before the wall goes back to its perverse state I took a few steps before almost falling over thankfully Chloe was right in time to catch me before I went butt over tea kettle ``belle are you okay?'' she asked and I nodded ``yeah i..i think so just a little light head I think'' I say as Friday chimes in ``looks like your mana levels are really low after doing that Boss'' she says as I reach for my leg pouch and pull out a blue glowing vile and pop the top downing the glowing liquid with a shiver ``blah I need to find a way to make this taste better''
After a few moments i was back up right as Friday spoke up again ``very handy boss your mana levels are back to normal ``she says as a little thumbs up appears in my vision from the glasses after a bit more walking Sammy found what appeared to be a tunnel craved into the rock wall as she padded over to the opening and sniffed the ground then looks back at us ``theirs a really old scent here kind of like the one back on that sky ship back at base camp'' she says as I look at Chloe as she looked back at me ``okay leed the way Sammy'' Chloe says as we fallow Sammy
After some walking the tunnel opened up into a large chamber then stepped onto a dirt path the view that was before us something to behold low rolling hills a small river but what drew our attaching was a large tree to our left the very branch's seeming to dig into the very stone walls and ceiling ``now that is a tree'' Naru says from my right shoulder ``yeah your right'' I say as Nari chimes in ``wonder how old it is?'' she says as Sammy calls out ``hay I'm still picking up that old scent its not the tree but looks like there's a camp site at its base'' she says as we follow her
After walking we arrived at the camp site and it was a very nice setup a field work tent was set up at the camps scanter so that was were we started inside the tent was a small lab like set up several books and journals were spread out on a table a layer of dust coated everything as Chloe and Malachi looked over that table I moved on to one of the others this one had varies gemstones scattered over it some cracked and burnt others reduced to colorful dust
As we screeched I came across three gotcha balls this were an old way to catch Fey-Kin a mage would need to weaken a Fey-Kin before tossing this ball at them to catch them inside this three did look old the mane body was black with a gold like ban around the ball with some odd looking runes on it I tried to get Friday and Jarvis to translate the runes but somehow there computing power was too low to do it but if we can make it back to their old masters home in Camelot ``hay Belle I think may of found something'' Malachi calls out as I slip the gotcha balls into my pack before heading over
As I neared the table Malachi was almost jumping up and down on the table he was muzzle deep in one of the journals he looks up eyes aglow as Maelstrom chimes in `` I believe my Champion has found something of great interest friend Belle `` she says as Malachi holds up the page he was reading as I started t read
Moments later I looked up from the book right at Malachi he was grinning from ear to ear I must have had the same look on my face because I closed the book placing it on the table before standing up ``okay everyone change of planes were pageing this place up and going back to base camp'' I say as Chloe comes over to be as I find the control bracelet that would pack up the camp ``Belle but what about finding the Dungeons core so it will disappear?'' she asked but I shook my head ``sorry to say this Chloe but thire is no core for us to find there never was one here in the first place'' I say tapping a few buttons as the camp started to disappear as I grabbed a set of keys as the tents started to vanish
As the last tent disappeared all that was left was a tall looking truck? Van? I had no clue what it was but Malachi did ``holy cow it's a front liner I haven't see one of those scenic I was a kitten'' he says as Rune and Sidra join him''okay Malachi so how do we get in I don't see a door'' Rune says as Malachi smiles and looks over at me and I hold up the keys and jingle them ``like this Rune'' I say as I walk over
Finding the key port sliding it in and giving it a turn I heard a pop and the door opened reveling a short spiral stair case going up looking over my shoulder ``well lets take this and get back to base camp'' I say as we all head inside as we reached the top I would a comfy looking drivers seat in front of a wrap around console a larg driving wheel two round monitors behind the drivers seat was a set of four plush looking seats
Later we rolled into base camp around early afternoon as we nerd the ship Ash and Goh came out as they leyed eyes on the front liner their jaws hung open as I turned off the mana drive engine as we headed down the steps and opened the door to see Ash and Goh waiting for us ``ware in the world did you guys find this?'' Goh asked as Ash looked it over ``so did you find the core already?'' he asked and I shook my head ``no but that's not important what is we need to get out of this place right now''
Sometime later we walked out of the dungeon into the light of dusk as we did Purah came running over ``what happened down thire?'' she asked ``about an hour ago those rough trader thugs left saying that the dungeon had been cleansed of all the impure and it would disappear soon'' she says as I hold up my hands ``its okay Purah were safe we avoided the Rough Trader's by the skin of our teeth but were fine'' I say as I recount what happened in the dungeon
Later that night I sat at the dinning booth in the trailer typing away with a holo keyboard writhing up a report to e-mail to Professor Seras attaching the last few files to the e-mail I sent it off to both Professor Seras and Purah shutting down the holo computer and keyboard I stretched as Jarvis's voice came to me by the glasses I still had on ``sir you have been working for an extended period of time you may want to go out walk around a bit get some fresh air'' he says as Friday chimes in ``yes the weather outside is really nice'' she says as I get up ``okay you two I can take the hint come on Naru lets get some air'' I say as Naru's eyes open and he nods ``sure Belle some fresh air sounds good to me'' he says jumping up to my left shoulder as Nari pads up to me as well ``hehe count me in as well Belle'' she says as I head to the door
Clear star filled sky's greeted the three of us it was a beautiful site to behold walking a bit from our camp site I found a small trail leading up a small rise following it I came to a small park and playground the moon light gave another worldly cast to the playground toys walking over to the swing set I sat down and slowly swung my legs getting the swing to move Nari was on my lap as I got into the swing of things as Naru perched on my shoulder as we really started to get going Nari started to giggle enjoying the ride and Naru started to laugh as we went higher I joined them as the swing slowed we jumped off landing in the sand ``YAHOOOOOO that was so much fun'' Naru says as he nuzzled my cheek ``thank you Belle that was so much fun Nari said as she nuzzled my other cheek then suddenly the flash of a camera
Turning my head to ware the flash came from I saw a cute girl with dark green hair done up in two pony tails gray overalls with a little pouch sitting just above her ample chest the legs of her overalls were cut off leaving her long legs bare but the bottom of the leg holes were now fluffy like fur lining the leg's her eyes were a pretty green her hair was held in place with a head bank with a big pink flower on one side ``oh my sorry about that you just looked so cute with your Fey-Kin friends I just had to snap a picture'' she says reaching a hand down to help me up as I reach out for her hand and was helped up ``thanks I'm Belle'' I says as she smiles ``I'm Mallow oh here try this and tell me what you think'' Mallow says handing me a puffy looking pink cookie with little dark chip's on it
Taken a small bite of the cookie the flavor of a pecha berry and some coco chips even a little bit of marshmallow ``so what do you think?'' Mallow asked as I smile ``its really tasty Mallow'' I say as Mallow giggles ``hehe thanks Belle'' she says as we hang out and talk a bit later ``wait what? you were apart of the team that went into that dungeon?'' she asked me and I nodded as Mallows eyes were as big as saucer's ``wow Belle your really amazing whats your team name?'' she asked and I told her ``cool Team Trail Blazers hehe that name really fits you and your team mates Belle'' she says as she types something into her cell phone ``oh what guild are you with?'' she asked ``well I think were a part of the Wanderlust Guild'' I say
As Mallow gets up and dusts off her overalls ``okay Belle I'm off oh I will stop by your camp site with soe goodies for you and your team you know.....something for your trip back home'' she says and starts to walk away but turns around and kisses me on the cheek before rushing off as I made my way back to the camper the Purah module beeps and chimes holding it up the screen pops up as a cute Glameow with a pair of silver glasses perched on her muzzle appeared with a tired smile on its face ``oh hello is this Belle Winterfell?'' the Glameow asked in a very cute female voice as I nodded ``yes thsts me I'm Belle'' I say as the Glameow claps her paws together ``good very good my names Ryn I'm the second in command of Wanderlust my friends Sidra and Malachi sent me a report singing your praises you showed good leadership caring for your fellow team mates and a helping heart all the marks of a leader'' she says causing me a blush a little at her praises
Recovering quickly I nodded ``t..thank you Ryn I tried to be there for my team mates'' I say as she giggles ``hehe well good to hear but heres the thing thire reports also added that the two of them are willing to sponsor your team The Trail Blazers as members of Wanderlust''
Chapter Epilog The Strangers
It had been a few days scene we had returned home my team and I had stopped by a place called Valley Town that happened to be ware The Wanderlust guild was based at we met the rest of the guild members as well as some of the other teams and the rest of team maelstrom we even got to meet the guild master a mienshao by the name of Misu she was tall for a fey-kin of her species but after a bit of chatting Misu had presented us with our official guild badges they were silver and pink in color with a pair of silver wings on each side ``okay you four you are now members of Wanderlust'' she says as everyone claps for us
It was getting onto night fall I had been staying at our club house/our new home base I had been working on the M Ship The Canterbury I had found out that the old owners were a man named doctor Homes and Doctor Watson the two were explorers with many awarders to their names
Shutting the last hatch I looked up at the ship the dark purple and gold hull looked amazing and cleamed like chrome under the workshops lights ``okay Sir according to my scans looks like all the mana lines are clear and the flow appears to be stable'' Jarvis says as I smile `` thanks Jarvis okay lets see if we can get this old girl to purr'' I say reaching for the keys as my bracelet rings holding it up I saw on the holo display it was mom tapping on the green button I saw my moms face ``hi Mom whats up?'' I saw ``well what is up is its getting late Belle you need to get some sleep'' she says with a smile ``I know you enjoy working on stuff son but you need your sleep too'' she says and I nod ``sure mom I will be back soon I just want to try one more time to get her running then I will come home'' I say and she nods ``okay get home soon ``
Making my way up to the cockpit taken the pilots seat on the right moving the consol in place putting the key in ``okay here we go'' turning the key to start ``okay now move this to prim and flip this switch to standby'' I say to myself as I watch the readings tick up and up the dial went from red to green ``okay sir give it a try'' Jarvis says as I reach for the power start button
Pushing the button as i holding in a breath as the power cycled over and a low hum started ``come on girl you can do it'' i said to myself as the hum grow in pitch till it cute out looking at the display screen I saw the readings were all green ``coagulations sir looks like the Canterbury's readings are all green'' Jarvis says as I let out a whoop
Later I was walking my way back home along the flat stone path the moon was just picking out from the horizon casting a silver blue cast to the landscape as I reached the front door fumbling for my keys still riding the high of getting the ship up and running opening the door I saw my mom standing in the entreaty way a look on her face that was somehow foreign to me but told me something was up ``mom?'' I was about to say as I heard someone say ``good evening''
Almost jumping out of my skin I twisted into the door my training with Heart and the others kicking in as I summoned my two virtuous contract katana's one silver blade glowing blue the other glowing gold and pale silver as I faced who had spoken the figure who stood outside the light of the door way was tall and covered in black armor the same kind as two others who flanked him as he started to clap ``my my such fast reflexes and such impressive weapons as well but sadly they won't help you'' he says and steps into the light what skin I was able to see was a ghostly white gold eyes glowing red with raw power
The tall figure reached behind his back pulling forward a strange looking small hoop like device as a black/red mana energy blade emerged from one end of the hoop then a second blade appeared on the device as he rushed in as the fight began he was fast and struck hard almost knocking me off balance as I slashed at him but he lazily blocked it like he was toying with me gritting my teeth I gathered up some power and used a force magic push slamming him into a nearby tree hearing the bark and wood crack from the impact ``sir!'' says one of the black armored troopers as two of them turned to me ``your dead'' one yelled as he pulled out two round looking devives like the two there leader had but they looked deferent more gun like as both started firing green bolts of energy at me
Dodging out of the way as the door was riddled with shots as the trooper tried to bring his weapons to bear on me again but I didn't let him as I summoned up my valiant revolver and fired off two quick shots into his unarmored side seeing him fall as a second trooper came at me red blade bearing bright as I realized I was out of position had no time to move no time to raise my katana to block it ``BELLE BELLE'' came a voice from my right looking I saw Chloe running towards me eyes full of tears she knew as well as I did I was a dead man but thankful my last sight I would see was Chloe's face dame did I wish I could go back in time and tell her how much I loved her ask her out on a date maybe dinner and a movie or just to kiss her
WHAME the sound of something heavy striking something soft with bone breaking results turning my head I saw the black armored trooper smashed to the ground a large ornate shield on top of him as my mind started to come back I felt Chloe ram into me her face to my chest ``your okay your okay'' I hear her say but over her sobs I hear the sound of foot falls and the whine of powerful mana drive engines looking up I saw a woman walking up she was clade in white and blue plate armor her hair was pink and cute short as the whine of the engines grow closer looking up I say a strange looking sky ship the wings looked sweaped back but as it got closer to the ground they folded forward close to the main hull looking almost like a U as for the main body looked tall and sleek just then a door slid open on the side of the ship and a figure clad in white and red armor
As the figure landed two more armored figures joined it one held what looked like a fancy Gatling Gun the other a rifle the armor the two new comers ware was silver and blue matching the colors of the sky ship that had landed and a young girl warding a skirt the same color as the two figures holding a staff glowing blue gem at the tip ``okay sacure them boys little sis go and see if the kid is okay'' the white/red armored figure said in a female voice as the younger girl nodded ``roger Lady Mordred'' she says and rushes over to wear Chloe and I sat and pulled out a med kit from her bag ``okay lets see'' she says and pull's a scanning rod out and passes it over me and Chloe as she looked at the screen she looked at me then looked away quickly ``okay looks like you two are okay a few scraps but it all looks good thanks to lady Mash'' she says
After a few moments the loud roar of heavy mana drive engines was heard as a black hulled sky ship was seen taken off and in pursuit a small snub-nosed sky fighter firing twin bolts of blue energy from weapon's placed on the wings before the black ship disappeared
As the sky ship landed the canopy opened and a figure lipped out landing gracefully on the gourd as the two armored troopers saluted before coming over to Chloe and I ``so you must be the one were looking for I'm knight Bedivere of the resistance'' he says then bows to me ``we have been looking for you Prince Belle the time for your family to take its rightful place is at hand Camelot has been waiting for their Prince to take up his rightful place'' he says and I blink ``wait wait I'm no prince I mean I know my dad was a king but Galar is gone'' I say but Bedivere shakes his head ``no that was never your home your
family hales from Camelot your father had to leave to keep your mother and you and your brother safe from Empress Morgan her empire was set to raise Camelot to the ground for your father's open rebellion'' Bedivere says before looking at me ``but sadly even him leaving did not save you from the empress's wrath'' he says before rising ''she used some kind of dark spell to call the darkness to Galar so they could take it'' he says before taking my hand's in his armored glove's ``but now that we have found you it may be time to take our fight up a notch show the Empress and her Empire that the spark of rebellion is starting to rekindle but for now we need more allies `` he says as Chloe speaks up `` now hold on how do you except Belle to gain you allies he's no diplomat'' she says before looking at me a deep blush on her cheeks ``i..i..i mean'' she did get a chance to continue before Bedivere chuckles ``hehe well miss Chloe I did say that allies were needed not just for the resistance but for Belle as well'' he says before Chloe relishes ``Mr. Bedivere you are'' ``a pain in the ass?'' came the voice of Mordred
