Feeling brave, Sni-tii slithered her way deeper and deeper into an underwater cave to see what it held. After some time, the stone around her started looking a lot less natural... She'd found a hidden temple! She eagerly went in, already thinking about what sort of treasure might be inside.
As the minutes went on, the snake lady started getting a bit frustrated. There was NO treasure anywhere in the temple she'd been so far, and her lungs were starting to complain... But, with one last room left, she decided she'd check that and then head out to breathe. This one seemed to be the most important, being a large hall with a crystal that was as big as her! Said crystal was glowing a light blue, and while she didn't know how to explain it, something about it gave her an odd vibe... After cautiously slithering closer to get a better look, she slowly reached out to touch it with her tail.
The moment it made contact, Sni-tii froze up as she could feel some kind of energy rushing into her from the crystal! She shuddered as the end of her tail turned a much lighter blue than normal, the crystal's glow dimming as it slowly moved up her body, before she managed to pull herself away. The crystal wasn't glowing any more, but the discoloration of her tail remained, and she looked at it for a moment... Before a heave of her chest reminded her that she couldn't stay, and she began the trip back outside.
During said trip, she scratched an itch with the differently-colored part of her tail... And suddenly turned into stone, while still somehow able to move! Almost gasping in surprise, her transformation lasted only a moment before she reverted to normal. She knew it had to have been her tail that did that, but how? Maybe that crystal had something to do with it? As the urge to breathe was slowly getting worse, she didn't have time to experiment just yet. It'd have to wait until she surfaced.
