Caiden's and Kyle's adventure in Australia continues as they spent the morning playing with Indy in her backyard. The three got along nicely together and played games like house and restaurant. Kyle recently went to a ramen shop for the first time and loved it so he wanted to play as a ramen chef. He mentioned to Indy that he loved noodles and she took note. As the morning went on, it was getting closer to lunch time. Indy asked her mother if the boys could stay for lunch and she thought that was a splendid idea.

It wasn't long before lunch was ready and the hungry boys ran to the table. Kyle plopped in his chair and waited patiently for the food. Caiden was assisted in getting strapped into Indy's baby sister's high chair. A bit small, pink, and baby-ish for Caiden's liking, but it was fine for a one-time thing. Finally the food was served. Kyle was initially excited at the sight of noodles, but then the smell hit him. It wasn't a bad smell per se, but it was an unexpected smell from a noodle dish. At least one that he was used to. Kyle was then informed that the dish was called carrot-zucchini noodles by Indy. Kyle groaned at the title of the dish as those were two veggies that he was not a fan of. However, for once he remembered his manners and politely ate the dish.

It was batter than he initially thought, but not good enough to have seconds. Caiden was equally cordial as he slowly finished the weird looking food, but politely finished his plate. It turned out that this dish was one of Indy's favorite foods. She had multiple helpings much to Caiden's and Kyle's confusion. They thought it was weird as normal wheat based noodles taste way better, but didn't call attention to it. While the dish is strange, it's something that Indy has had multiple times as her parent's keep her on a strict wheat-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, salt-free, and dairy-free diet. I guess it's hard to miss what you've never had.
