Character Description
Born under the scorching radiance of the Everlight's Shrine, Chandrelle was a Sunshroud Elf—a subrace of elves attuned to both the searing light of the sun and the creeping shadows it casts. Her people are noble guardians of solar temples. At just 64 years old (young for an elf), she witnessed many of her kin slaughtered or driven mad by an invading force of demons that sought to ruin her the temple her family guarded. Rather than perish, she made a desperate choice: if she could not destroy the demons, she would use them.

With her home in ruins, Chandrelle made a choice: if the demons wanted a vessel, she would be the one to wield them. One by one, she bound herself to the entities that destroyed her people—not as a slave, but as a thief of their power.

Sable the Mirrorheart - The Succubus Who Cracked the First Reflection
Pact: Claims Chandrelle’s body as tribute every new moon.
Nature: Sable is both cruel and tender, shifting between dominant and doting. She sometimes wears Chandrelle’s own face during their liaisons, mocking her lost innocence.
Mark: The beauty mark on her face is actually a tiny demonic rune—a "kiss" from Sable.
Orgalex the Whimsy - The Shadow That Grins Behind Her Shoulder
Pact: Demands mischief without warning—steal a king’s crown, seduce a priest, burn a love letter.
Nature: Orgalex never speaks aloud; its voice is a itch in her mind, a giggle in her pulse.
Boon: When she obeys, it floods her veins with liquid shadow, letting her melt through walls or strangle foes with their own regrets.
Note: Orgalex hates her red hair; it clashes with his shadowy aesthetic.
Y’gthael the Manyfold - The Child-Thing That Clings to Her Wrist
Pact: Not pain, not servitude, but "Stay where I can see you." It sleeps curled around her wrist like a bracelet, purring when she strokes its eye. It brings her "gifts" (a stolen flower, a dead rat, a shiny coin) and whines until she praises it.
Nature: A writhing mass of tendrils with a single, wide eye. It calls her "Mother" in a voice like breaking glass.
Boon: Unconditional Protection, Shield of Flesh: In battle, its tendrils harden into armor, deflecting blades and spells. Soulguard: It hisses at Sable when the succubus’s demands grow cruel, and bites Orgalex’s shadows when they creep too close. Judge’s Jury: When Malcharion’s chains grow heavy, Y’gthael wraps around her heart, muffling the guilt. Dreamcatcher: Demonic influence often makes sleep impossible as nightmares plague the mind, however Y’gthael eats her nightmares keeping her mind safe.
Note: She calls it "Little Star" and lets it nest in her hair during storms. He enjoys playing with her ponytail.
Malcharion the Judge - The Faceless Chainbearer
Pact: Feeds on misery and fear—Chandrelle must witness suffering (or inflict it) to sate it.
Nature: A gaunt figure draped in rusted chains, its blank face reflecting the sins of those nearby.
Boon: Lets her see guilt as glowing brands on others’ skin—but her own sins weigh heavier each time.
Note: Now, Chandrelle walks a razor’s edge, wielding the power of her tormentors while always at risk of being consumed by them. Her demons whispering promises and threats in equal measure. She uses them as much as they use her—but the scales are tipping, their influence slowly dimming her once bright figure. Her only solace? The demons hate each other. Sable sneers at Y’gthael’s neediness, Orgalex plays pranks on Malcharion, and the Judge silently condemns them all - weakening their influence in punishment. Chandrelle plays them against one another—for now.
Orgalex once tricked Y’gthael into swallowing a mimic coin—Chandrelle spent an hour prying the sobbing mass from a treasure chest.
The Judge shows her a visions of Y’gthael suffocating her in its love, forcing her to choose: Push it away, or let it consume you?
Sable and Malcharion were in a relationship once, a BDSM phase Sable referred to it as. Malcharion gets jealous of their trysts.
Note: Orgalex's family visits him from time to time and he often leaves them with Chandrelle as a means of "entertaining them". Belkagene, his niece, is actually kind to Chandrelle and offers her assistance when she can (a trait he cannot understand).
Note: There is one demon that has been trailing the others, it required nothing to have made a pact with Chandrelle but offers no boons or it's name. It silently watches and speaks to Chandrelle from time to time. She hopes it's actually a demon and not her mind fracturing from the demonic influence.
