Partly based on a true story. just the pull-ups were not involved (even though I wish)

it happened during vacation. we went to explore underground caverns where you take an elevator down to. and it was a walking tour with a lot of people and we had to walk and follow the tour guide for hours and it took longer than my bladder could handle. my pants were drenched down to the ankles at the end. :C I cant remember everything but we also sat in a boat to float down at the end of the cave and sitting was uncomfortable and I got cold too.

Maybe you were in Mammoth Cave, maybe in Carlsbad. Mammoth has or had miles of passages, incl. an artificial entrance so people can get to the Niagara Room without walking so much that they were too tired to appreciate that section.

Carlsbad has an elevator, but the Bat Cave, the Hall of a Thousand Lakes and the Inner Cave are closed to the public - maybe due to lack of funds.
