Nasir

One day, as Nasir explored underwater, he came across a shipwreck! After catching his breath, he returned down, using a simple spell to let himself easily walk on the ship's deck. After about a minute of looking around, he went to go inside... Before tripping on a broken floorboard, falling to the floor, and dropping his wand! Nasir quickly reached for it, but just before he could grab it, it fell in a hole into the inside of the ship. He felt its effects fade from him as he looked down where it had gone, more just frustrated than anything. Cancelling the spell letting him walk underwater, he swam up to plan out what to do.

squirtlerocks07 and I did an RP based on this.

S: on a relatively casual dive, an interesting looking toucan creature was walking on the deck of a shipwreck, however he dropped his little wand that he was carrying into a small hole that he couldn't reach, so he had to surface to figure out how to approach this, and when he did he noticed a Toxtricity swimming on the surface minding their own business when they caught a glimpse of them, but doesn't say anything yet

L: Deciding he could try asking them, the toucan waves at the toxtricity and calls out to them. "H-hey, could you help me out with something? I promise this isn't some kind of trick, I really could use a hand."

S: "H-huh?" the Toxtricity turned around and noticed the toucan creature, blushing a bit as they were a little shy
"Oh I didn't even notice you... what's going on?"

L: "So... This is gonna sound weird, but... I'm a wizard, and I accidentally dropped my wand into the shipwreck below here. I'm worried that, if I go in after it, I might not make it, since I can't hold my breath all that long without it. Could you maybe help me get it back?"

S: "Excuse me what?? A wizard?? Nah, your joking... besides...I don't really dive underwater, I stay on the surface most of the time"

L: The toucan sighs. "That's fine... Here, let me at least prove I'm not lying. I can still do a tiny bit of magic without my wand." He holds his hand above the surface, and some of the water lifts up below it!

S: the toxiricity's eyes go wide

"W-whoa! Jeez you are a wizard! Ok, I change my mind...if your really a wizard then I'll be rude of me to not help you, so as much as I probably won't like it, I'll do it for you, what's your name by the way? I'm a toxiricity, but my nickname Toxic"

L: "My name's Nasir. Can't really say I know what a toxtricity is... But, thanks for this, Toxic. It's always such a pain when I lose my wand..."

S: "Well, we're called Pokémon, it's a special species of animals that have unique powers, for me I'm an electric/ poison type pokemon, so you can probably guess what unique power I would have, and what kind of creature are you Nasir? You look like some kind of bird or something"

L: "Just a toucan that happens to have been born capable of magic. I guess I'm sort of like a Pokemon too then, having a sort of power of my own, huh?"

S: "Technically you could be, but that'll just be confusing...but you at least look like a pretty cool toucan"

L: "Thanks! You look cool too! Now, um... Could we get started on getting my wand back? I really don't like being without it."

S: toxic sighs
"Alright alright... we'll get started, never thought I would have to use these swim goggles today" toxic pulls out his pair of goggles which are purple in color and puts them over his eyes, making him look cool and maybe even cuter
"So, you told me your wand makes you hold your breath longer, so how long could go without it?"

L: "Well, um... Only a little over 4 minutes. I know that's pretty bad, but I think I'm only able to improve without my wand helping me, and I always get nervous without it."

S: "Well it looks like we're pretty evenly matched in that case, because my best time is only 5 minutes, again I don't really go underwater too often so that's why I have such a low time, plus I sometimes get nervous diving underwater"

L: "At least you've got a good excuse... We shouldn't have to worry much about the way back, I'll be able to get us out easily once I've got my wand back."

S: "If you say so...as much as I'm gonna hate submerging... not breathing in is kind of freaky and that's why I don't like it...but if it's for a wizard then I'll do it"

L: "I'll try my best to keep you calm, but I know how you feel. Especially with not being able to go straight up for the surface..."

S: "Oh that's the worst... it's been a couple months since I've been underwater tho, so...we'll see how this goes"

L: "Alright, let's hope it goes okay..." Nasir starts doing some deep breathing to prepare, apparently at least having a good amount of knowledge regarding breath holding.

S: toxic looks at what Nasir is doing in confusion
"Uhh, what exactly are you doing right now?"

L: "Oh, this helps with staying underwater longer. It clears out the used air from your lungs so it's nothing but the fresh stuff."

S: "Oh does that actually work? Neat, I should try it"
Toxic then starts to take some deep breathes as well

L: After a while of that, Nasir speaks up again. "Alright, that should be enough. Ready to do this?"

S: "Umm...not really...again I haven't been submerged in months, I'm getting all...what's the word...oh yeah scared, and for Toxtricitys like me that never happens"

L: "Hey, I don't blame you, this is definitely intimidating with us both having such short breath holds... But I'm sure we're going to be fine."

S: "I don't know... what if I forgot how to hold my breath because of how long it's been and inhale water?? It's scary!"

L: "I... Really doubt you'd have forgotten something like that. But I guess it's possible... You should check now before we go under, try holding your breath for a couple seconds."

S: "O-okay..." toxic looks around worringly then he takes a deep breath and holds it in for a few seconds, but only 5 seconds in he stopped and gasps for breath heavily

L: "Okay, at least you remember how. Looks like you're really not in any state for a longer breath hold than that, though..."

S: "No, no I'm not... breath holding is scary, but at least I can do it..." Toxic sighs

L: "Better than nothing, at least... You don't have to do this if you don't want to, I can see if I can find someone else to help."

S: "You won't find anyone else here honestly so...it's fine, I've already got my goggles on so, let's just do this..."

L: "Let's try again, then..." Nasir starts preparing again, hoping it'll go better this time.

S: Toxic does too, trying to keep his fears at bay

L: Nasir is trying to keep calm too... But, soon, he's ready again. "Okay, here we go... 3, 2, 1!" He holds his breath and dives.

S: toxic was a little scared, but he eventually holds his own breath, pinches his nose shut and dives under as well

L: Once he sees that Toxic went under with him, Nasir gives them a nod and starts swimming toward a hole in the side of the shipwreck.

S: Toxic follows Nasir down, blushing a bit already from his need to breathe, and the embressment of holding his nose shut

L: While he's clearly still nervous, Nasir keeps going with them, and swims inside the shipwreck to begin his search.

S: Toxic hesitates for a bit before following Nasir inside, hoping to find their wand soon so he can get some fresh air again, bubbles escaping his mouth

L: It's a bit complicated of a layout inside the wreck, but Nasir at least has an idea of what direction to go. Starting to blush, he works his way deeper in, hoping the trip won't be too much longer.

S: they are getting closer, but toxic suddenly stops swimming, now he was starting to get very scared, covering his mouth as well as bubbles escape him, his face fully red with clear fear in his eyes

L: It takes Nasir a moment to realize Toxic is falling behind. "Mm!" He swims back to them, holding their shoulder to try to reassure them.

S: Toxic looks up at Nasir was a fearful gaze, it appears he's not used to pushing himself as far where they are now, and he doesn't like it, bubbles escaping him even as his mouth and nose are covered

L: Hoping it'll help, Nasir gives Toxic a hug even as his face starts to go fully red, grunting audible from him as his chest starts heaving.

S: Toxic does relax from the hug, giving him one back as he closes his eyes for a moment to enjoy it, grunting audible from him as well, after he breaks the hug, he looks down in disappointment, clearly he's sorry for lagging behind

L: Giving Toxic a strained smile of reassurance, Nasir gestures for them to follow as he resumes swimming through the shipwreck.

S: toxic nods and keeps going as well, but thankfully they finally get to where nasir's wand is, Toxic finds the wand, picks it up and hands it to him

L: "Mmm!" Nasir smiles as he takes his wand, and he briefly glows all over for a moment. "Alright, we're good! Now come on, let's get out quick!" His voice comes out perfectly clear despite the bubbles.

S: "Whblat thble??" Toxic was clearly shocked at how he can talk clearly now, feeling jealous about it, but he quickly wastes no time and getting out of the place, his face turning blue now

L: Nasir holds Toxic's hand, and with a wave of his wand, a current begins quickly pushing the two back the way they came!

S: "Whbloa!!!!" Toxic wasn't expecting that at all! And they got to the surface in record time, toxic gasping heavily for breath as he does
"Hah...hah...hah... whoa!! Your even more cool then I thought you were!"

L: Nasir gasps as well, not quite as heavily as Toxic. "Hah, hah... Heh, and I consider that one fairly basic..."

S: "Basic?! Oh man, your making me wanna become a wizard now...and that's a pretty cool looking wand! I wish I had magical powers, I mean my own powers are cool and all but something different and unique would be nice"

L: "As far as I know, you either have to be born with it or use a magic object of some kind. But, you know what? As thanks for coming with me down there, you can borrow my wand for a little while if you want. Just until we leave."

S: "Oh? Really? Oh awesome thank you!" toxic gently takes Nasir's wand in his hands, feeling it's powers as he smiles
"So cool! What can it do?"

L: "It takes practice, but you should at least be able to do some basic things. Just imagine what you want to happen, and give the wand a wave in a way that feels right for what you want it to do. Careful you don't tire yourself out too much, that happens when using magic a lot."

S: "Hmm, alright..." Toxic waves the wand in a way to make a small wave appear that gently goes over the two of them in a harmless way
"Neat!"

L: "Not bad for your first ever try! And, remember what I said before about that wand helping me hold my breath longer? That should be the case for you, too. I'd guess that, with that, you've got about a 25 minute breath hold!"

S: "Wait what?! 25 minutes?! That's insane! I don't even believe that honestly! That seems too high of a number!"

L: "It's for real, yeah! It seems to let the user hold their breath 5 times as long, my record with it is a little over 21 minutes. It'll even let you talk clearly underwater, too!"

S: "Talk clearly too?? Whoa!!! Awesome!! Now I'll actually feel a lot safer when I'm underwater"

L: "Want to try those out for a while? I'm okay with having a shorter breath hold since we aren't going to be inside anywhere."

S: "Well, alright if your so sure...may as well try it out" Toxic takes some deep breathes, just in case

L: Nasir starts deeply breathing too, though he knows he'll be very much outmatched by Toxic regardless.

S: not hesitating as much, Toxic takes a last deep breath and holds it before diving underwater again, immediately he feels his lungs are stronger then before

L: Nasir dives alongside them, smiling at them. He hopes that, with the wand's help, Toxic will be able to actually enjoy themselves underwater.

S: toxic takes a quick look around, then decides to test out his speech
"Testing, 1, 2, 3! Wow I can talk clearly! Awesome!"

L: Nasir gives Toxic a thumbs up. He idly swims in place next to them as he watches them, bubbling a little.

S: toxic bubbles a bit himself, it's already been 3 minutes and he's got no strain at all
"This is amazing! Remember how I said I hate being underwater? Well...I take it back, it is kind of cool now"

L: While he does smile at that, Nasir's face is already fully red. He gestures for Toxic to wait, and he quickly swims up to go breathe, then returns back down.

S: "I kind of feel bad that you have to go breathe every so often because I took your wand, but this is at least pretty cool"
toxic waves the wand around to see what other cool things it can do

L: Nasir does his best to make it clear that he doesn't really mind.

The wand leaves a trail of light blue energy as Toxic waves it, not really doing anything at the moment aside from looking neat.

S: "Cool!!" Toxic spots a large fish in the distance, trying it out he points the wand at the fish and waves it a certain way, he was thinking he could possibly control the fish with his powers, his face is finally a tiny bit red from the excitement

L: Sure enough, the fish pauses where it is, seemingly waiting for Toxic to make it do something!

Nasir looks over at it a little confused, able to tell that Toxic has done something to it but not yet able to tell what it is.

S: "There's no way..." toxic then uses the wand to make the large fish come closer to them and even do a little spin for presentation

L: As directed, the fish comes over and does a spin.

Nasir quickly recognizes what Toxic is doing, and while he saves his air by not saying anything, he's clearly impressed with them.

S: "Awesome!! You know I've always wanted to give a fish a hug, let's see..." doing something technical with the wand he waves it a certain way to sort of make the fish give him a big hug and smile too

L: The fish swims to Toxic and does its best to hug him with its fins, smiling at him at the same time.

Nasir is starting to blush some again, but he ignores that for now to keep watching.

S: "Awwww!!" Toxic smiles as his own face turns a bit more red as he gives the fish a hug back
"What an adorable little fish..."

L: Nasir smiles at Toxic, finally deciding to talk just a little. "Yoblu're abl loblt bebltteblr ablt thblis thblan Ibl exblpecblted!"

S: "I guess magic is something I'm good at, heh...anyway um... let's surface now" toxic let's go of the fish and stops controlling them before swimming up to the surface and gasping for breath

L: The fish swims off, clearly confused, and Nasir surfaces next to Toxic with a gasp of his own. "Never would've thought that controlling a fish could be done with such a basic technique..."

S: "Me neither, but I like it! Hehe! This is such fun!"

L: "I hope you manage to find something of your own that'll let you use magic after this, I kind of hate that I'll eventually have to take this from you..."

S: "Yeah that's gonna suck... I loved this sooo much...like seriously!"

L: "I can tell, yeah! You were so nervous about diving before, but now there practically wasn't even a single moment you weren't having fun!"

S: "Yeah totally! I was having a blast! Hehe! But I think I've had enough of diving for now...I'm a little tired"

L: "Same here, honestly. Pass me back my wand, I'll get us both back to shore."

S: "Alright..." toxic with a frown returns the wand back to nasir

L: "Ah, don't be sad, we're still gonna have one last little bit of fun!" Holding Toxic's hand, Nasir points his wand toward the shore, and a waves forms behind the two that starts pushing them along, almost like they're surfing!

S: "Whoa!!! Are we like, surfing almost?! Ok this is epic!!!"

L: "Haha, yep! Big fan of doing this one!" The two surf all the way back to shore, where the wave crashes and disperses. "A lot quicker than swimming, huh?"

S: "Uhhh yeah! That was awesome!! Thanks for that, well I better get going...I hope I meet up with you again soon!" toxic give Nasir a big hug

L: "Same here!" Nasir hugs him back. "And hey, maybe you'll be a wizard yourself the next time we meet!"

S: "I wish there was a wizard school then I would go and try become a great wizard, but sadly I don't think that exists...least I don't think..."

L: "Not that I'm aware of, no... And the people I learned my magic with aren't going to like you. I could try to teach you myself at some point, but I've never done that before..."

S: "Not gonna like me? What are you talking about? I'm like one of the coolest pokemon out there! How could they not like me??"

L: "They REALLY hate outsiders. I wouldn't be surprised if they attacked you on sight... They didn't even like ME that much, since I'm a lot less aggressive than them."

S: "Oh jeez... well umm...alright I'll see you later I guess, thanks for a great day" toxic hugs Nasir one more time before walking off

L: Nasir waves goodbye to Toxic, before he leaves as well.
