I know this post might not be for everybody, but I met a small friend yesterday and I wanted to see what kind of beauty he was hiding up close. I didn't expect to find a fractal pattern along with some other surprises! The top picture fascinated me with that elegant fractal pattern splayed across his lower back. It's quite the inspiration for some unique textures. Everywhere I look I'm seeing the same type of patterns repeat themselves in different ways, and this little guy is no exception!
The bottom photo is something else entirely though. If you look behind his head, you can see what appear to be multiple craters dotted along him! I've never seen a living thing with such a pattern! It reminds me of the cratered surface of the moon in a way. Glad I decided to photograph this little guy, Nature hides so much from us, and only reveals itself when we decide to take the time to look a little closer, a bit deeper.. If anyone has any suggestions on what to photograph with a macro lens, please share! Quite the journey I find myself on.. Never know where I'm going next, but it's always a pleasant surprise to find my next project!
