Continuing my journey with snowflakes, I decided I've made something good enough to hang on my wall for inspiration. This was based off of a photo I took in a calm winded snowstorm earlier this month. I recreate the snowflake as a 2d object inside of a 3d modeling software for later use, and then extract the line art of the snowflake in order to bring it into an art program to add all of the soft swirls and details you see here! Then it's off to the laser to be engraved and cut. I have a couple more ideas of what I'd like to do with snowflakes, one is printing now...
