Snow in Station Square was always a rare sight. Being right next to the ocean always kept things above freezing, so winter usually meant one thing: rain. Lots and lots of rain. Sometimes later in the year, sometimes earlier, depending on how the currents moved. Tails was far too familiar with how the weather was, and he'd seen snow only a handful of times he could remember. But as luck would have it, while enjoying a nice winter respite away from his university studies in Spagonia... it happened. Soft snow was covering the city, and it was time for some fun. Shirt, check. Pants, check. Jacket, check. Hat, check. Gloves, off. Shoes, off. He was ready! In a flash of blue fire, he was in the city--who needed trains when you could warp?--and heading right for the park. Most people who didn't know Tails would call him a madman--hell, even Amy had been worried until he proved his point. But in truth, he didn't even need half of what he had on. He just liked the softness of winter clothes, and always found snow boots way too clunky. He'd been barefooting since his teens, once he learned how to harness natural energy. The frozen flakes felt more like a cotton wool, the temperature not even registering. He giggled to himself as he took his winter walk, a trail of footprints in the snow left behind him as he enjoyed the cool air and soft snow under his feet. He even stuck his tongue out to catch a few flakes, part of that childlike wonder that he still had whenever his hometown got to experience this wonder. It would definitely melt away in a day or two... So he was definitely going to make the most of it! |
