As you finally make two bowls for the two cubs, and you place them on the table as you made sure to use plastic cutlery, you finally approach the two kids, who are still arguing.
“All right, what’s up with you two?” You finally decide to ask them.
“Teddy went pee-pee in his undies!” Ethan teasingly says in reply, giggling as the for now human toddler turns flustered.
“Well so did you!” Teddy points out in a mumble, as he turns beet red.
“Nu-huh,” Ethan points to his diaper, which was dry and not soggy. “Seems like you’re the baby huh.”
“No fair!” Teddy pouts as he realises what happened. “He used magic to make his accident go away!”
Unable to stop yourself from giggling at the cub’s explanation, you continue to ask. “What happened Teddy, why did you have an accident?”
“Because he’s a little baby that needs to be in diapers!” Ethan quickly interrupts as Teddy tries to explain.
“The pot calls the kettle black!” Teddy replies, causing Ethan to pout but stop teasing.
As you chuckle and lead Teddy to his bag, He starts explaining. “We had a tickle fight, but before, we had a drinking contest,” He tells you, pointing towards some juice boxes laying around. “I won both contests,” He then proudly says.
“I can tell,” you gently tell him in a teasing voice, as you take his bag, and take dry cloth out of it. You then inspect the damage; the front of his dress was dry, so said dress could still be worn. His undies however were revealed to be soaking wet when you helped him out of his dress.
“He should be in diapies like me,” Ethan teases his friend.
“Maybe, but he can’t,” You gently explain to both cubs. “The cloth diapers have a metal safety pin, and I’m pretty sure it’s made out of silver”
“And why is that bad?” The fox kit curiously asks.
“I’m a werewolf, remember?” Teddy reminds his friend.
“Oh yeah,” Ethan giggled, as you changed Teddy into dry undies
“Thank you babysitter,” The human kid says once he is cleaned, and you help him into his dress.
“Guess you’re a sissy again hehe,” Ethan tells him with a teasing grin.
“Better a sissy than a baby!” Teddy argues.
The two continue with their playful banter, though you can tell that Teddy is getting more skittish and hurt with each jab, and you decide to put an end to it. “All right, I made you two some lunch, so how about we pause the arguing and have something to eat.”
“Thank you Babysitter,” Teddy gives you a tight hug, as Ethan quickly sits down at the table.
You tell him that he’s welcome, and pick him up before sitting him at the table as well.
As you make yourself a plate of porridge, and watch the cubs messily eat theirs, You overhear Ethan ask Teddy a question. “Since you’re in undies, are you potty-trained?”
Teddy turned beet red hearing that. “Well… It’s… uh…”
You’re confused about it as well, as his parents didn’t give you any info on the state of his potty training. You sit down in front of him as he continues stuttering, and you assure him that he doesn’t have to say if he doesn’t, but that it would help if he did.
“We’ll, I’m not really potty trained, but my parents say I don’t really have another option. Cloth diapers require metal, and they do not want to take any risk.”
“What about disposable diapers?” You decide to ask him.
“Just like with Ethan, it interferes with magic,” Teddy explains to you, making it more obvious. “Oh, and of course those also give us rashes, just like silver does.”
“Oh all right then,” You tell him in reply, mentally preparing yourself for the many uncontained accidents Teddy will have over the days.
Despite your efforts, the human could read off your expression, and quickly felt bad. “I’ll promise I’ll try not to make too much of a mess,” He said. “And I’ll help with the clean-up.”
In reply, you pick him up from his seat and give him a hug while assuring him that it will be fine.
“I love you,” Teddy tenderly says as he snuggles against you, making you smile.
“Aww, look at the little baby,” Ethan chuckles at his friend.
“Says the messy eater!” The human kid grins. “I can’t use cutlery like you yet I still don’t eat like a pig!”
The fox kit scoffs in mock offence before wiping his face.
You chuckle, and give Teddy a hug, before setting him on the ground again.
The two kids then finish their lunch, and are both rewarded with a juicebox.
“Another one, Thank you!” Teddy gratefully says with excited eyes.
“You’re welcome kid,” You reply with a smile.
“Just don’t overdo it,” Ethan teases in reply.
“You’re one to talk!” Teddy giggles.
“All right, enough you two,” You gently decide to end the playful banter.
“All right, babysitter” Teddy quickly obeys, while Ethan tries to argue a bit more but to no avail.
Once all calmed down, and Ethan is all clean from the messy eating, Teddy softly and skittishly asks you: “What are we going to do now?”
1. You let the kids watch a movie, though the cubs argue on how scary it will be, With Teddy naturally being braver than Ethan due to being a werewolf
2. You decide to get an idea for arts & crafts for the cubs.
3. While you think of something, Ethan finds a potty-training book in a book closet, and jokes that it’s useful for Teddy, though the kid will actually be interested
