Every year, during certain times, the boundary between the mortal realm and the spirit world becomes thinned and pliable. Spirits on their journey to the afterlife are able to return and intermingle with their loved ones, prompting holidays like Halloween and Dia de los Muertos. This event is known worldwide as "The Blurring"...
Tleko knows full well about "The Blurring," as he one of many psychopomps and overseers of the underworld. Worshipped by ancient Soumercans and tribes in the southern United Federation as the "God of the Dead," Tleko is hardly some powerful ruler. With his staff, he creates the stairway to the mortal realm, allowing souls to take a break from their journey, but otherwise simply gives the dead their space.
While he's undergone many outfits over the years, he is absolutely smitten with the colors of Halloween. Orange and Black, and pumpkins just like the shapes decorating his fur, he makes sure to dress the part. Even better, he blends in with the mortals in celebration, allowing him to have some much needed fun with the handsome costumed men he encounters during his weeklong vacation. He's known as the "Pumpkin King" thanks to his outfit--many mortals don't realize he is a minor deity.
He may or may not also be a sucker for pumpkin spice lattes, calling it a modern marvel.
