New Toy! Wac always wanted a car as short as he is (well, almost), and the Lotus Emira fits the bill nicely. Quite literally, as it's quite a bit cheaper than your typical Ferrari!

No, it's totally not a mid-life crisis. He swears. His business partnership with Noicha has worked out quite well for him over the years, so he figures it's time he got a real car for a daily driver, and the Subaru WRX is now the winter car.

Might have been nice to inform the wife about that 2-year-long order, though, as it looks like Tawny will be swearing for quite a while.

It looks like Waccoon and Tawny have changed places. Waccoon used to be the level-headed one and Tawny was the wild one. I love the change. Of course, now, Tawny has two kids to take care of; that might have something to do with her way of thinking.

Wac has gotten way more bold over the last 10 years and takes a lot more risks, which is how he got rich. Tawny does stay at home with the kids, but she's also a professional author, regularly goes to trade shows and conventions, and is taking care of her new responsibilities quite well.

71 500 €... affordable, compared to the 30 600 € for the subaru

I can't believe we're still seeing Ford F150's and RAMs at dealer lots for $100k. The prices on all US cars are still bonkers.

Makes the $117k for the Emira look sensible by comparison. The WRX was $27k, but that was also 10 years ago.

It's a 2024. It's an all-new car and replaces the previous model, the Evora GT.

Lotus is a British brand, and when the Emira was unveiled for orders, it took about 2 years to get the car emissions certified in the USA. Seriously, cars were sitting at dealer lots for over 6 months because they couldn't legally be delivered to customers. What a mess.
