L: Deep below the surface of the ocean is a city that's entirely underwater, no sort of dome or anything to keep it dry. Its residents do include air breathers however, with plentiful air sources set up for them, leading to the city being one of the best places for an aspiring freediver to get some breath holding practice. A particular lucario had been interested in it for some time, and after working up their courage, boarded a special watertight train down into the ocean to visit it, watching the surface get farther away through a window.
S: Lucario looked around the watertight train, he's starting to get nervous about being deep underwater, and he's not exactly the best breath holder either, and water in general can really spook him sometimes, he's currently hiding in a corner of the train, trying to control his emotions and not be so scared, even tho his body isnt even submerged underwater yet
L: Among the few other Pokemon in the car they're in is a floatzel lounging in one of the seats nearby. They've noticed the lucario's nervousness and keep looking over at him, before eventually getting up to go talk to him. "You okay? You look like you got on this train by mistake..."
S: lucario can hear the floatzel, eventually lifting his head up to face them
"O-oh...i-im fine... no I didn't get on this train by mistake, it was intentional, I wanted to visit this underwater city for a while, but... water scares me a lot, especially being submerged... I'm just trying to control myself, but...it's not working..." lucario's fear is slowly consuming him
L: "Hey, it's gonna be alright. Being under this much water takes some getting used to, but there's no danger of getting seriously hurt from drowning. There's a lot of things set up to keep everyone safe from that."
S: "I-i know that... but I'm still really scared! Just knowing I'm gonna be miles from the surface scares me to death! I was even surprised I managed to get on this train... plus, I'm a horrible breath holder and I'm too scared of drowning"
L: "Yeah, drowning hurts regardless... But there's plenty of air sources around, you can just breathe at one of those whenever you need to. 'Course, I like pushing myself, but you don't have to."
S: lucario sighs then whimpers
"I don't know what I'm gonna do when this train stops, my adventurous self wants me to go and explore this amazing city, but the anxiety side of me wants me to stop what I'm doing and go back to the surface... ugh!"
L: "You know... Maybe I could stick around with you for a while, and help you get used to how things are down here? I can't breathe underwater either, but I can make bubbles for you to breathe if we're too far from any fresh air."
S: "Well..." lucario looks outside and noticing how far down he is, his legs shake a bit with fear, but he turns back around to face the floatzel "...I guess having someone with me would help, so... ok then... thank you"
L: "No problem! I live in the city, so I know it pretty well. I'll make sure you never have to worry about even getting LOW on breath."
S: "Aww well, thanks" lucario then takes a closer look at the floatzel "What pokemon are you? I don't think I've seen one like you before"
L: "I'm a floatzel! Makes sense you haven't heard of us, we're water types and you said you're not a fan of water. I do know you're a lucario, though."
S: lucario blushes a tad and rubs the back of his head
"Y-yeah, I am indeed a lucario...probably the most frightened lucario you've ever met, heh" little did the lucario know, the train ride was just about over at this point
L: "Hey, it's not a high bar, you're only the second lucario I've ever met!" The floatzel glances out a window. "Seems like we're almost to the city at this point..."
S: "Second huh? I guess another lucario must have visited" lucario looks outside and his eyes go wide worringly
"Oh no... I'm so deep down! This is scary! Ahhhh!"
L: "It's okay! I know it's kinda creepy not being able to see the surface, but trust me, it's gonna be fine!"
S: "I don't know about that! It's so deep and far!" lucario is really starting to panic as the train slowly comes to a stop at the city's entrance
L: "We're gonna have to get off the train, at least. There's a dry hall the train will connect to that leads to an airlock, so we won't be underwater right away."
S: "I guess that's good... just lead me over there then while I try and compose myself" lucario's legs continue to shake as the train comes to complete stop by now
L: After about half a minute, the doors open, and everyone that was on the train gets off, the floatzel leading the lucario out to the section of the station that's still dry. "Now that we're here, we can take pretty much as long as you need."
S: "Well...alright" lucario looks around at the dry section of the station, still very much worried about being submerged
L: There isn't a whole lot of interest there, mostly just advertising, but there's a basic map of the city with air sources marked on it. The floatzel gestures to it. "See? Told you there's plenty of places to breathe!"
S: lucario looks at the map, and while he's relieved there are spots to go breathe, he still wasn't too sure about it
"I mean that's nice, but I'm still terrified! I-i haven't submerged in a while either, which may be why I'm so frightened"
L: "I'd offer to just go in more shallow water first, but that's not exactly an option here... There's gotta be something we CAN do..."
S: "M-maybe I should just go on the next train back to the surface, cause I'm not sure I can do this... although...I really do wanna explore this underwater city..." lucario tears up a little, which us something very uncommon in them, he really doesn't know what to do
L: "Hey, you having the courage to come here at all is proof to me that you CAN do this! I was definitely nervous my first time coming here too, so I don't blame you for having this much trouble."
S: "I mean it definitely wasn't easy getting on that train, but...ugh..." lucario looks outside from the airlock, looking very much scared to go out there
L: "If it's any help, you likely won't stand out all that much down here. I've even seen fire types in the city sometimes!"
S: "Fire types?! Nah, your kidding... there's no way! Wow... guess that kinda helps but, I still don't know... I mean I know I can swim and all, but it's just been so long since I've been submerged"
L: "I'll be right with you the whole time, and I can swim well enough for the both of us. If there's ever any kind of issue, you can hold onto me and I'll get us going pretty fast."
S: lucario heavily sighs, then thinks for a moment before responding
"....oh, alright fine... but if I freak out once im done and I give up... I gotta at least try this..."
L: "There you go! Yeah, you should at least try it out, this is pretty much the only way for a non water type to see what being this far underwater is like."
S: "And I almost don't wanna see what's it like, I'm gonna be constantly looking at the very far away surface, plus...wouldn't pressure be an issue here?"
L: "There's actually something kind of interesting about water pressure here: There's some kind of magic around and near the city that makes it feel like it's only about 10 feet down! No idea how it works, but it makes all this accessible to pretty much anyone."
S: "Really? Huh... that's interesting... not at all weird, heh... guess even kids could be down here if they wanted... haha!"
L: "Some do live here! All the ones I've ever seen here were aquatic, which is probably for the best, but they're around."
S: "Heh, some non water type kid would have to be real brave to come down here, maybe that'll happen someday I don't know"
L: "Yeah, maybe... But anyway, do you feel like you're ready to try going outside?"
S: "Uhhh...." lucario definally wasn't sure, but he knew he didn't wanna stay in this airlock for much longer so he replied with "Y-yeah, I guess so... but um, is there like...any swim goggles here? I kinda can't go underwater without them... that's at least what I remembered the last time I was submerged"
L: "Pretty sure there's some complimentary ones you can grab... Ah, right there." Floatzel gestures to a nearby box full of goggles, which has a label saying "Visitors can help themselves to a pair of goggles!"
S: "Oh! That's convenient, thanks" lucario goes over to the box of goggles, he grabs a pair of light blue goggles and places them over his eyes "Nice they have them in my favorite color, how do I look?" he blushes a tad
L: "They look pretty good on you! I don't need any myself, so don't worry about me."
S: "Thanks, I appreciate that" lucario smiles a tad and his tail gives a slight wag "Guess we should get going then huh?" he gulps
L: "Yeah, it's about time you actually got to really see the city. There's an air source right outside, so you don't have to worry."
S: "Oh, alright then...." lucario takes a deep breath and let's it out slowly "Let's do this thing then..."
deep down inside lucario he's still very much scared to go out there, but with the support of floatzel he's hoping it'll go somewhat smoothly
L: "Don't worry about really preparing your lungs, the effect of that isn't really gonna last all that long." Floatzel closes one of the doors of the airlock, and sets the room to start filling with water.
S: "W-wait what are you talking about?! That useally helps people!" lucario fully panics again as he notices the room starting to fill with water
L: "It does, but only really for one breath hold..." Floatzel quickly notices Lucario's panic, and pauses the flooding. "O-okay, maybe should've let you get ready..."
S: "I-I'm sorry I didn't expect that to be coming so quickly! Ahhhh!!!!" lucario's legs shake with fear again
L: "I'm able to set it to be slower than that if you want, the max is having it take a full minute..." Floatzel hugs Lucario, hoping it'll help calm them.
S: "A full minute?! That's still not enough! I'm too scared!" lucario does hug floatzel back, trying to calm down
L: "Then we can take as long as you need before having it fill at all, there's other airlocks so it's not like we're hogging the only one."
S: lucario sighs once again "No, it's fine... I can't keep myself here any longer, I wanna explore that city, I really do..." lucario even whimpers a bit
L: "Are you sure? You panicked pretty much right away when the room started filling up..."
S: "That's because I wasn't expecting it... but now I know what's gonna happen, I'm positive I can do this"
L: "Okay, good. I'll put it on the lowest speed. 3, 2, 1..." Floatzel unpauses the airlock's flooding, which is now going slower than before.
S: "Yipe!" lucario jumps a bit as the water resumes to fill slowly, but tried to remain calm by taking some deep breathes
L: "There you go, just hang in there and try to relax..." Floatzel does some deep breathing as well, just to get himself ready to hold his breath.
S: lucario whimpers a bit as the water slowly rises, he hugs floatzel tightly as he continues taking deep breathes
L: Soon, the water is just below the ceiling, just inches left for the two of them. "Alright, get one last breath!" Floatzel does so himself, but waits to go under until Lucario will.
S: "No no no no no!!!!!" lucario is panicking again, he didn't even hear what floatzel said, watching the mere inches of air that's currently left in the room and not even submerging
L: "T-try to calm doblwn!" Floatzel's mouth goes under before he can finish talking.
S: lucario starts panting heavily as the water gets closer to the ceiling, he presses his mouth against the ceiling to try and breathe in air for as long as possible, there's only like 1 and half inches of air left
L: Floatzel watches Lucario, concerned about them. As scared as they are, he thinks that stopping the flooding with so little air left might just make things worse for them...
S: Soon enough, the water inevitably is gonna submerge lucario, after taking in one last scared deep breath of air, he let's the water rush over his head, his cheeks puffing out with air as his whimpers get even louder, it's clear he's very frightened and they haven't even left the airlock yet
L: "It's goblnna be okay, Ibl'm right hblere..." Floatzel hugs Lucario, trying his best to calm them down.
S: lucario is beyond scared, causing a lot of air to escape him, but he tries to calm down and hug floatzel back, continuing to whimper
L: Floatzel keeps hugging Lucario, hoping they'll eventually relax enough to start swimming.
S: after some time, and as lucario's face is already red, he eventually calms down, pulling away from the hug to look at floatzel then at their hand, wanting some kind of contact while he tries to keep controlling his emotions while they swim
L: Floatzel holds Lucario's hand and gives them a smile. "Are yoblu ready to hblead outside?"
S: not used to bubbletalking, lucario simply nods his head a bit, bubbles leaving his nostrils
L: With a nod back, Floatzel opens the door to the outside, and the two finally enter the underwater city proper. It's built quite differently from a typical city thanks to things not having as much weight underwater, and there's a fair amount of other Pokemon around, about a quarter being kinds that can't breathe underwater.
S: lucario's eyes go wide at the city, his tail unknowingly giving a happy wag
"Woblw..." is all he managed to say, having briefly forgotten that he's submerged before eventually snapping back to reality, going back to whimpering and looking at the far away surface
L: "Yeah, it's... Kiblnd of unnerving, hblow far down we arble. You'll get usbled to it. But anywably, do you want aiblr? I'll show yoblu hblow to use thble sources, they're prbletty simple."
S: hearing the promise for air, lucario immediately shakes his head yes, his tail wagging excitingly at that
L: "Alright, thblere's one right hblere, like I said." Floatzel gestures to what looks like a drinking fountain without a faucet. "Press thble button on the frblont, and it'll make abl big bubble yoblu can breathe in."
S: lucario nods his head, taking his hand off of floatzel's and swimming over to the machine, he pushes the button and makes the bubble appear, immediately he puts his head inside the bubble and gasps heavily, but once he did...he swims back inside the flooded airlock with the bubble on his head, he's seen the city and now he wants to go...
L: Floatzel quickly follows them. "Hbley, where are you going? Youbl've barely seen anblything hblere!"
S: "I've seen enough already... I said I wanted to see the city, not really anything else beyond that...my body wouldn't be able to handle seeing anything else... so I wanna leave, least I can say I've seen the underwater city from a distance in person..." it's clear lucario doesn't wanna just end the trip here, he really wants to see everything the city has to offer deep down inside him, but his anxiety is keeping him from doing that
L: "...I can tell yoblu don't really wanblt to leave. But, yoblu definitely need soblme time to calm doblwn, and that bubble yoblu've got is prblobably hblelping."
S: "Yeah it is helping, but this bubble won't last forever..." lucario sighs heavily, he may need more encouragement, maybe if he found out a legendary pokemon lives down here he may feel more comfortable enough to actually go in
L: "You can alblways get more bubbles... Plus, if you leblave, you're gonna hblave a hblard time meeting a ceblrtain celebrity that lives hblere..."
S: "Wait...excuse me? Celebrity??? What celebrity???" lucario's eyes widen at what floatzel said
L: "Well, a legeblndary Pokemon lives in thble city... Kyogre. Hble's the one that invented thoblse bubble machines, too."
S: "What?!" lucario gasps in the bubble around him, making it disappear as he held his breath again "Arble you serioubls?! Uhhhbl...." he still wasn't all that sure, I mean he thought it was cool kygore was here, but... doesn't fully convince him to go, he was hoping a certain favorite pokemon of his was here somewhere in this city, which was a Machoke, if he saw them...then lucario would 100% go into the city to explore
L: "Maybe you'll see thblem, maybe not. But yoblu're not gonna know unbless you stick arblound!" Some distance behind Floatzel, a machoke is swimming by, blushing from, presumably, a need to breathe.
S: "Wablit...is thablt a..." lucario notices the machoke, his eyes widening even more, curiously he swims out of the airlock towards the machoke, he's in complete shock when he actually sees them
L: Floatzel: "Wait, what's ublp?" He watches Lucario.
The machoke certainly looks strained, and he glances at Lucario. "Dbl-dobln't miblnd mble... Ibl-Ibl liblke publshiblng myblselblf."
S: "Ablre yoblu sublre yoblur oblk? I doblnt wanblt yoblu to drblown!" lucario definally seems concerned for the machoke, not used to seeing someone push themselves like this
L: Machoke: "Fbl-fiblne, whblateblver..." He swims to a nearby bubble machine and breathes from it, his blush fading away. "Thblere yoblu gblo."
Floatzel swims up to Lucario. "Are you a fabln of machokes?"
S: lucario turns to floatzel, a faint blush on his face "Yebls...I ambl... I reblally likble machoblkes, thebly are stblrong and powblerful, heh... and iblm startiblng to liblke youbl abls well floblatzbbel..."
L: Both Machoke and Floatzel blush, neither from a need to breathe.
Machoke: "Wbl-webll, ublm... Thblankbls."
Floatzel: "Ibl'm kiblnda stblartbling tblo liblke yoblu toblo, Lublcarblio!"
S: lucario's tail give a happy wag, a smile that was bigger then before as he starts to calm down now, now seeing his favorite pokemon and being with floatzel for a while, and starting to warm up to him
"Alriblght I thblink I'm reabldy to exploblre the cblity thblis timble"
L: Floatzel: "There you go! Coblme on, I'll show you whblere Kyogre lives."
Machoke: "Shbloulbld Ibl, liblke... Coblme wiblth yoblu gublys?"
S: "Itbl woulbld mablke me hablppier if yblou camble alonblg"
L: Machoke: "Alblrigblht thblen, dobln't hblave mublch tblo dblo toblday."
Floatzel: "Cool! Follow me!" He starts swimming through the street.
S: "Waiblt!" lucario quickly catches up and holds floatzel's hand "S-sblorry, it jusblt mablkes me feblel bettbler" he blushes a tad bit embressingly
L: Floatzel: "Oh, don't worblry, it's fine." He smiles at Lucario before resuming swimming with them and Machoke. Soon, what looks like a palace made from coral and encrusted with pearls becomes visible, and Floatzel gestures to it. "Kyogre lives ibln there. We're probably not gebltting in, with hblim not expecting us..."
S: "Wblow...it's amblazing! I lblove it!"
someone above them was also heading by the palace, it appears to be a charmeleon...and they recongize the floatzel, they smile and immediately swims over to him, very excited as almost if they know the floatzel for a while
Charmeleon - "Floatblzel!!!!"
L: Floatzel looks over at them and smiles back. "Hbley Charmeleon! I'm finally bablck from my trip!"
S: Charmeleon's tail wags happily, hes also wearing a pair of orange swim goggles, his face also a tad bit redder then usual but he's fine, he immediately hugs floatzel tight
"I missebld yoblu so mublch! I'm sblo hablppy yoblur bacblk!" he then notices machoke and lucario "Lobloks liblke yblouve goblt comblpany!"
L: Floatzel hugs Charmeleon back. "Yep, Lucario anbld Machoke! I'm showing Lucario arblound the city, and Machoke's hblere to hblelp Lucario stay calm, sinblce they don't do albl that well wiblth water."
Machoke: "Jublst fiblgurbled Ibl'd hblelp oublt."
S: Lucario - "Mmblhm..."
Charmeleon - "Ah I sblee... I wabls jublst likble lucblario whblen I fblirst camble heblre, so I unblderstand how hebl mublst feblel...anyblways, I wabls gonblna go and viblist kyblgore, hebls alblready approvebld me to comble todably"
Lucario - "WHBLAT?! Mmmm!" he covers his mouth as he accidentally wasted a lot of his air
L: Machoke: "Wbl-wablit, seblriobluslbly!?"
Floatzel: "Oh wow, nice! Thblink they'd be okay wiblth us coming with yoblu?"
S: Charmeleon - "I dblont seble whbly noblt, I donblt remembler hiblm saybling thbley are agblainest guesblts thablt comble alonlng"
Lucario - "Cblool!!" lucario's face is back to being fully red, he whimpers a tad bit
L: Floatzel: "Well, guess we're albl gonna be going tblo see Kyogre then!"
Machoke: "Mabln, thblis ibls goblnna ble awblesoblme!"
Floatzel looks over at Lucario. "Oh, do you nebled a bubble?"
S: "Mmhm..." lucario covers his mouth and nose, continuing to whimper
Charmeleon - "Uh oblh..."
L: Quickly looking around doesn't reveal a bubble maker close by... Floatzel quickly blows out a big bubble of his own breath and holds it out to Lucario. "Hblere!"
S: Lucario - "T-thblank you!" immediately lucario takes the bubble and inhales it, his face returning to normal
L: Floatzel is blushing a tiny bit now, but he doesn't mind it. "No problem! We'll probably be able to geblt some actually freblsh air once we're ibln the palace, bublt that bubble should woblrk for now."
Machoke: "Ibl HBLAVE hbleard thblat Kyblogrble brbleatblhes aiblr toblo, sblo itbl'd mablke seblnse iblf wble cobluld geblt soblme ibln thblere."
S: "Thblat shbloud bble niblce"
Charmeleon - "Well whblat ablre webl waiblting foblr letbls gblo!" Charmeleon swims inside the palace, waiting for the others to join
L: Holding Lucario's hand again, Floatzel swims after Charmeleon, with Machoke following as well. The inside of the palace is just as impressive as the outside, if not moreso.
S: Lucario - "Wblhoa..." lucario squeezes floatzel's hand a bit so he doesn't freak out, while they all follow charmeleon to kygore
L: Floatzel and Machoke look around in awe, having never been here before... Soon, what looks like a blue-colored whale with hand-like flippers comes into view; Kyogre!
Kyogre: "Good to see you made it, Charmeleon. And I see you've brought friends, as well."
S: Charmeleon - "Yeblp! Thblis my beblst frienbld floatzblel...and somble new friblends I meblt, lucarblio and machbloke!"
Lucario - "O....m...g!!! Itbls actbluly hiblm!"
L: Machoke: "Ibl-itbl's abln hoblnor, Kyblogrble!"
Floatzel: "Hbl-hbli! I-I'm a really biblg fan!"
S: "Ybleah itbls realbly coblol to mbleet you! Glblad I deciblded to noblt chicblken out!"
Charmeleon - "Hehble!"
L: Kyogre: "So, Charmeleon, you wanted to see me for something? Oh, and, here." With a couple quick, sharp exhales, Kyogre blew two big bubbles for Floatzel and Machoke to inhale, the latter of which had been just starting to blush. "Don't want anyone being uncomfortable."
S: Lucario - "Woblw hebls so niblce..."
Charmeleon - "Yblep, hebls reablally coobll, anyblways um... welbl I jublst wanblted to knblow... you dblo thblose speical breatblh holblding lessoblns, and ivble beebln wanblting tobl trbly thblem, bublt wabls toblo shbly to sably anyblthinblg becblause oblf hblow intensble thebly ablre"
L: Floatzel: "Yeah, I've hbleard they're really not for evbleryone..."
Kyogre: "That's true. I regularly push people until they're about to start drowning... With their approval beforehand, sometimes even past that. Are you sure about this?"
Machoke: "Mablybe noblt THBLAT fablr..."
S: Lucario - "Whbloa, I definitblely donblt wannbla be involvbled in thablt"
Charmeleon - "I've beblen thinblking aboublt it forbl whible anbld, I wblanna trbly it onblce...jublst tblo seebl hblow it gobles, evblen thblo I'm sublper nevblous..."
L: Floatzel: "I want to try oblut the regular training toblo, just no drowning."
Machoke: "Sablme hblere."
Kyogre: "Alright, we can get started right here if you want."
S: Lucario - "Wablit...I'm noblt comblforable dobling thblat... whablt am I sublpposed to dblo... ivble nevbler beebln trablkned befblore..."
L: Kyogre: "I don't mind you just watching if you don't want to take part."
Floatzel: "It'd definitely be coblol if you joined ibln, but yeah, you dobln't hblave to."
Machoke nods, saving his air for now.
S: lucario whimpers, unsure if he wanted to watch or take part
Charmeleon - "Hebly, itbls ok..."
Lucario - "I-i... dblont evebln wanblna watcblh... bublt...I donblt wannbla feblel lefblt oublt, thblats alblways hapblpened to mble, I alblways felblt lefblt out in tblhings likble thblis whblen I saybl nblo..."
L: Kyogre: "Hm... Well, you can't exactly not be involved and also not be left out..."
Floatzel: "You could joibln in later if yoblu want, it's not liblke it hblas to be now."
S: "Ugblh..." lucario sees he's still holding floatzel's hand, he looks over at machoke and their hand, getting an idea "I-I'll jbloin nblow, iblf I gblet somble moblore suppblort"
Charmeleon - "Hehble... I gblet hoblw lublario is febleling 100%"
L: Machoke smiles and nods, taking Lucario's other hand. "Webl're albl riblght hblere tblo hblelp yoblu keblep cablm."
Kyogre: "And I'll stay ready to blow a bubble to you right when you need one."
S: Lucario - "Thblanks gbluys" lucario blushes happily "Leblts dobl thblis thebln"
Charmeleon - "Alriblght!"
L: Kyogre: "Alright, everyone stay as relaxed as you can. Any movement at all cuts down on how long you can hold your breath."
Floatzel and Machoke both nod, with Floatzel closing their eyes.
S: *lucario whimpers
nervously, having never trained like this before, and he's unsure if he can stay calm, his face already back to being a bit red, and unsure what to do*
Charmeleon notices this and gets a a bit concerned, but sits down and focuses on holding his breath
L: Machoke keeps watching Lucario to make sure they'll be okay, rubbing their back some to help them keep calm.
Floatzel is still doing just fine, and Kyogre is looking between everyone to keep track of how they're doing.
S: the back rubs certainly help lucario a bit, his whimpers a bit less now, but he's still pretty nervous, looking up at kygore and shaking his head at him as bubbles escape his nose
Charmeleon meanwhile keeps calm himself, not a single bubble escaping him while he relaxes his body
L: Kyogre: "You can have a bubble if you want, even just going longer than normal between breaths is decent practice."
Floatzel isn't letting any bubbles loose either, but Machoke occasionally is, seemingly not being all that good at holding his breath.
S: lucario nods, until he gets used to pushing himself he rather play it safe for now
Charmeleon isn't too good at his breath holding either, but manages to not let a bubble loose for a while until small bubbles escape his nostrils
L: Kyogre: "Alright, here." Like before, he puffs a big bubble toward Lucario for them to grab.
S: lucario takes the bubble and inhales it, his face returning to normal as he calms down, nodding to kygore as a way of saying thanking, before he turns over to machoke
L: Machoke smiles at Lucario despite the tiny blush barely visible on his face. "Wiblth yoblu stblartbling sblo scblarebld, evblen dobling THBLAT webll ibls prblettbly goblod."
S: lucario smiles a tad
"Thblanks macblhoke" he squeezes machoke's hand a bit and does the same with floatzel's, before closing his eyes to try and relax like floatzel is currently doing
a red blush forms on charmeleon's cheeks meanwhile but he keeps going, letting some bubbles loose from his nostrils a bit more now
L: Floatzel is still doing just fine, calmly holding his breath as if he'd just started.
Kyogre: "Glad to see a few of you working together on this. Having a partner tends to be a big help."
S: lucario nods, keeping his eyes closed as he too starts to calmly hold his breath now, managing to not let so many bubbles loose now
Charmeleon's cheeks grow in a size as he keeps his breath held, his face now fully red as he keeps going
L: Machoke's face is just about fully red too, but he's doing his best to stay calm regardless.
Floatzel looks around to check on everyone, seeing Charmeleon and Machoke aren't doing all that well compared to him.
S: lucario is trying to keep his composure, he whimpers a tiny bit causing some small bubbles to escape, his face a tad bit red again as he shifts around uncomfortably
charmeleon pinches his nose shut to keep any air that's left in him, now he's also starting to whimper as bubbles escape his mouth instead
L: Machoke holds his nose as well, also covering his mouth as he whines a little.
Floatzel is finally starting to blush a tiny bit as well at this point.
S: opening his eyes lucario sees everyone having red faces at this point, he turns to machoke and gets concerned for them, but knowing they are watched and protected by kygore he tries to relax about it, now reaching up to pinch his own nose as it seems to help some people
charmeleon continues to whine, his face now blue as he moves his hand to cover his mouth as well, his feet kicking around frantically
L: Machoke is starting to get a blue blush too, tiny bubbles leaking past his fingers as he tightly shuts his eyes in strain.
Kyogre: "Good work so far, it takes some willpower to get to this point."
S: pretty soon, lucario's own face is fully red again after seeing everyone get so low on breath, and soon turns blue too as he grunts in strain, keeping his nose and mouth covered tightly
charmeleon seems like he's not gonna last much longer, his face slowly turning purple as he whines super loudly, his eyes shut in strain
L: Bubbles start streaming from Machoke as he seems to be nearing his limit, squirming in place while going purple like Charmeleon.
Kyogre puffs a couple big bubbles to them and Charmeleon. "Great job you two, have yourselves a breather."
Machoke quickly grabs his bubble and gasps it down, his face going back to its normal color.
S: charmeleon quickly does the same, gasping his bubble down as his face returns to normal too, he pants out some bubbles at the tiredness of holding his breath for so long
lucario meanwhile looks at the two as they inhaled the bubble, he turns back to floatzel as the two of them kept going, deciding to actually test himself even as his face is a tad blue, he scoots closer to floatzel, wrapping his free arm around them
L: Floatzel smiles as he sees Lucario seemingly getting more comfortable with holding their breath, and he puts an arm around them as well. His chest is occasionally heaving, but other than that he looks fine right now.
S: with floatzel by his side lucario tries to relax a bit more even as his face slowly grows bluer then normal, his own chest heaving a lot more then floatzel's
Charmeleon floats over to them to watch the show
L: Both Machoke and Kyogre watch as well, the latter staying ready to make a bubble once one's needed.
Floatzel leans against Lucario a bit as he also tries to stay calm himself, his blush slowly getting bigger.
S: lucario in return leans back against floatzel, their heads touching each other, which actually looked adorable, and that in turns helps the lucario stay calm despite having a blue blush on his face
L: Everyone smiles at how cute it is, with Machoke also giving a thumbs up.
Kyogre: "This must not be your first time helping someone stay calm underwater, you seem pretty good at it."
Floatzel: "Yeah, helped him a lot earlier."
S: Lucario - "Mmhm" lucario nods his head in agreement, a tiny smile on his face despite his current state, bubbles escaping him as he presses tightly against his mouth and nose
L: Floatzel covers Lucario's mouth and nose for them. "Hblang in there, you're dobling really well so fblar!"
S: lucario whimpers as his need to breathe grows, but does smile a bit at floatzel covering his mouth and nose for him
Charmeleon - "Keblep gobling! Doblnt gblive up!'
L: Machoke: "Beblt yoblu cabln geblt abls fablr abls Ibl dibld!"
Kyogre: "You're doing great in terms of steel types!"
S: lucario smiles gets bigger, soon enough his face is fully blue and his whimpers grow louder, even with floatzel covering everything bubbles still escape him constantly
L: Floatzel: "Just a biblt longer, I know you cabln get to the point whblere you're going purple..."
S: lucario shakes his head as he doesn't wanna push past that, looking over at kygore pleadingly for a bubble
L: Even without them saying anything, Kyogre knows what Lucario wants, and blows a big bubble toward them. "Glad you've warmed up to this!"
Floatzel's face is fully red now, clearly straining to hold his breath, but he smiles at how well Lucario did.
S: lucario scrambles to get the bubble, but because on how badly he needed to breathe he was a bit reckless, having never felt this low on air before, so he accidently pops the bubble kygore blew, his eyes widening at the stupid mistake he made, and now his face is purple which he was trying to avoid but is now inevitable
Lucario - "W-whoblops!"
L: Kyogre: "Oh, don't worry, it happens." He quickly blows another bubble for Lucario, trying to aim it straight at them this time.
S: this time lucario is a lot more careful and grabs the bubble before instantly inhaling it, his face returning to normal, but he blushes a tad at the mistake he made

Charmeleon - "Hbleh, happblens to thble beblst oblf us!"
L: Machoke: "Yeblah, I'vble hblad abl feblw tiblmes whblere Ibl meblssebld thblat ublp toblo." He's blushing a tiny bit again, but doesn't mind it yet.
Floatzel: "M-mble toblo..." He's just beginning to get a blue blush now.
S: lucario notices floatzel's blue blush and gets concerned, he clearly doesn't wanna see floatzel in this state and whimpers when he does see it
Charmeleon - "I gbluess lblucario doblesnt liblke sebleing yblou publsuh yblourseblf likble thblat floabltzel..."
Lucario - "Mmm mmm" he shakes his head at that, he really does like floatzel as a good friend and he hates seeing friends in trouble like this
L: Floatzel: "I-I'm gebltting you uncomfortable, arblen't I? Alright... K-Kyoblgre, pass me abl bubble..."
Kyogre blows a bubble to Floatzel, who inhales it and catches their breath.
S: "Thblank yblou..." lucario sighs out some bubbles in relief
Charmeleon - "Whblat a trblaining! Thblanks foblr heblping ubls oublt kyblgore!"
L: Machoke: "Yeblah, thblat wabls grbleat!"
Kyogre: "No problem, everyone! Glad to help you all out!"
S: Lucario - "Yeblah ilbll admblit, I hblad fblun wblith iblt somblewhblat! Sobl thblanks" suddenly lucario's stomach growls and he blushes again
"Exbluse me...looblks likble I'm hblungry"
L: Kyogre: "Well, if you're not going to be busy, how about I get you guys some food?"
Floatzel: "That'd ble great!"
Machoke: "Tobltalbly! Yoblu mublst hblave soblme reblallbly goblod foblod!"
S: "Sublre, soublds grbleat!"
Charmeleon - "100% yebls!"
L: Kyogre: "Alright, come with me, and I'll get you all fed!" He starts swimming, with Machoke and Floatzel following, the latter holding Lucario's hand again.
S: lucario follows along as he holds both the floatzel and machoke's hand
Charmeleon also follows closely behind
L: Kyogre leads the group to a dining room, still submerged, where impressively high quality food is put out for them. "Help yourselves to whatever you like!"
Floatzel: "Oh wow, iblt all looks so goblod..."
Machoke: "Iblt reblallbly dobles!"
S: Lucario - "Wblow... uhhblh....shooblt um ivble neblver eatblen unblderwater beblfore... and I dblont knblow ifbl I wanblna..."
Charmeleon is already going into the food, seems like he's pretty hungry himself
L: Kyogre: "Then here, just put a bubble around your head." He blows a bubble to Lucario, this one a bit bigger than the others he's given out.
Floatzel and Machoke are eating just fine as well, apparently used to doing so underwater.
S: lucario tilts his head a bit confused "Hblows tblhat gonblna woblrk? Ifbl ibl trbly and picblk ublp the foblod herble and eablt it, thble bubble wblil poblp, I donblt thblink sblo, i doblnt wanblna riblsk it" lucario smacks the bubble away which pops it, his stomach continuing to growl as he watches the others eat, he whines as well
L: Kyogre: "Good point... Let me try something." He blows a few bubbles to some of the unclaimed food, and presses on the bubbles to get the food inside. "Alright, and I can make a big one that'll fit your entire body, so you essentially won't be underwater, and I can pass you food in other bubbles that'll merge with yours. Does all that sound good?"
S: "Uhhh... nobl...I'm gblonna loblok stublpid dobling thablt, I wiblsh thblere wblas an aiblr pockblet heblre sobl i cabln acbltually eblat noblrnally inblstead oblf mablking thblis albl so hablrd... gueblss iblm jblust gonblna go hunblgry thblen..." lucario frowns as he continues to watch the others eat, his whimpers audible enough so they can all hear as his stomach growls even more, he really is hungry
L: Kyogre: "Hey, relax, I've got you. See that indent in the ceiling up there?" He gestures to it, then swims up there before starting to exhale. Tons of bubbles float from him, and before long he's turned the indent into an air pocket. "There's a ledge up there you can sit on, but I guess it does mean you're not gonna be with the others while you eat."
S: "Oblh... webll imbl sublre somblebodbly wonblt minbld combling wiblth mble...thblat aiblr pocblket lookbls biblg enblough..."
L: Floatzel: "I can hblead up there with yoblu if you want, wobluldn't want you to jublst be alone during albl this."
S: "Thblanks floatzblel thblat meblans a lblot to mble" lucario then grabs some of the food from that's leftover and swims up to the new air pocket, gasping in the air before hopping up on the ledge, he waits for floatzel to come
L: Floatzel brings up the food he'd been working on and jumps up as well with a light gasp, sitting next to Lucario. "It IS nice to be out of the water for a little while, gets a little old sometimes."
S: "I agree... I like this little air pocket space, now I can breathe normally while I eat" lucario chows down on his food "Mmm...so good... I'm just not comfortable eating underwater, I don't even know how charmeleon could be doing that"
L: "It takes practice, it's something you really just have to get used to. Most people in the city can do it, but yeah, it's tough for the non-aquatic folks."
S: "I don't know if I could do it to be honest, besides...I'm likely only gonna be visiting here once so it's not like I'm gonna be coming back so often..." deep down inside lucario he does wanna return, but he chooses not to say that out loud
L: Floatzel sighs. "Yeah, fair. Living underwater really isn't for everyone. I'm glad you came by though, it's been fun hanging out with you!"
S: "Yeah me too, you've been a lot of fun...and I'm happy to have someone support me throughout all this, I do wonder how non aquatic folks live down here, arent the homes like full submerged? Or is there an air pocket somewhere?" lucario eventually finishes his meal, burping a bit "Heh, excuse me... that's much better...now I actually have energy again"
little did floatzel know, that lucario doesn't really have the best life on the surface, sure he loves to breathe in fresh air...but he's kinda in between homes on the surface, he chooses again not to speak, and why he wants to be here
L: "There's always air pockets in the homes of non aquatics, but a few houses have airlocks and are actually dry on the inside. Those ones are really expensive though..." Floatzel soon finishes eating as well. "Man, Kyogre really does eat like a king, this was great!"
S: "Man that sounds nice... I wish I were rich, heh...but yeah that food was amazing! That's probably the best thing I've eaten in a long time..."
L: "We should probably head back down, the others are probably waiting."
As if on cue, Kyogre rises up partway into the air pocket. "Let me know once you two are finished up here, okay?"
S: "Uhh...I don't wanna leave this air pocket...this is closest thing to fresh air when I don't have to breathe from a bubble..."
L: Kyogre: "This air is going to be used up eventually, there's no vents like the proper air pockets have."
Floatzel: "Yeah, we kind of don't have a choice with this one..."
S: "Aww man.... I don't wanna go back under already..." lucario looks down at the water, frowning sadly
L: Kyogre: "You do probably have... Maybe half an hour or so, before it starts getting harder to breathe. So, you CAN just hang out here a while if you want."
S: "Ok... maybe I just need some time before I have to submerge again"
suddenly charmeleon comes up to the air pocket to see what's going on
Charmeleon - "Is everything ok?"
L: Floatzel: "Lucario's gotten nervous about going back underwater, we're just gonna be up here for a while."
S: "Oh no... I'm sorry to hear that..."
Lucario - "...well I don't wanna take my time with this, last time I had to wait for an airlock to fill up and that scared me so much, so I don't wanna be scared when the air runs out in this pocket"
L: Kyogre: "Maybe you could just ease yourself into the water at your own pace? Like, stand on top of me and tap me when you want to go farther down, something like that."
S: Charmeleon - "Hey anything helps! I'll hopefully see you down there lucario!" Charmeleon takes a deep breath and dives back underwater
Lucario - "Well....I guess that might work...ok then"
L: Kyogre dips down some and comes close to the ledge so Lucario can just step onto him.
Floatzel hops into the water so he can stay next to Lucario without also standing on Kyogre. "I'll be right here with you."
S: carefully lucario steps on kygore, making sure to keep his balance so he doesn't immediately fall in
L: Kyogre keeps as still as he can, patiently waiting for a signal from Lucario, whenever it may come.
Floatzel smiles up at Lucario as he watches them.
S: lucario looks down and smiles back at floatzel a bit
"Alright..." he taps kygore, ready to go down a bit further
L: Kyogre goes down by a few inches, the water now a bit above Lucario's ankles.
Floatzel: "As slow as this'll be, I think it'll work!"
S: "Me too... slow and steady wins the race..." after a minute or two, he taps kygore again
L: Kyogre goes down another few inches, getting the water a little below Lucario's knees.
S: "I'm calm....I'm calm..." lucario said to himself, eventually tapping on kygore yet again, slowly starting to relax more and more, at least that's what he hopes what will continue
L: Once again, Kyogre goes another few inches, water now halfway up Lucario's thighs.
Floatzel: "Doing good so far..."
S: "I'm fine...I've got this..." after another minute he taps on kygore once again, still calm for now
L: The water reaches Lucario's waist now.
Machoke comes up next to the trio with a gasp, having a somewhat blue face. "Hah, hah... Y-you guys doing okay?"
Floatzel: "So far, yeah, Lucario's just nervous about diving again."
S: "Y-yeah, but I'm ok...I'm getting there...hopefully" it took a bit longer this time but lucario taps on kygore once again
L: Another few inches down, with the water now about halfway covering Lucario's belly.
Machoke: "You're definitely doing well so far..."
S: "Oh man...it's getting closer..." lucario is tensing up again, but he quickly manages to relax himself as he taps kygore again
L: With another few inches' descent, the water is just above the start of Lucario's chest.
S: "It's so close... oh man..." lucario is nervous again but tries to stay calm as he taps kygore again, this time a lot more nervous on the next couple inches
L: Lucario is now just before the point where their neck would start going underwater.
S: as the water is pretty much at lucario's neck he knew the next couple of inches would submerge him entirely, he pants heavily and stretches his neck up so he could keep breathing, all this while being scared...he doesn't tap on kygore right away
L: Floatzel: "You can do it, just a little more!"
Machoke: "Yeah, you're almost there!"
S: "I-i don't know if I can! The next tap I do I'm gonna be submerged!" lucario whimpers like a dog as he keeps panting heavily
L: Floatzel holds Lucario's hand now that he can get close enough to do so. "It'll be okay, I'll be right here with you."
S: feeling the warmth of floatzel's hand calms lucario down a bit, he takes some breathes to relax his body
"Thank you floatzel..." he then, gently taps on kygore
L: Kyogre goes down some more, and pretty much all of Lucario that's above the surface is the upper half of their head now.
S: "Ahhh!" lucario does panic, but calms down as he sees himself holding floatzel's hand, eventually he gasps a few more times then takes one big deep one and holds it before tapping kygore yet again
L: Kyogre goes down one last time, and Lucario finally goes fully underwater again.
Floatzel holds his breath as he comes down too. "There you gblo!"
Machoke dives under as well. "Knblew yoblu cobluld dblo iblt!"
S: charmeleon notices that lucario finally came down and smiles, his tail wagging
Charmeleon - "Gblood jblob budbldy!"
lucario simply smiles a tad as his cheeks puff with air a bit, he swims off of kygore and floats in place, still holding floatzel's hand
L: Kyogre: "Glad we finally got you back down! I'll keep the air up there for now in case you want to go with that instead of a bubble."
Floatzel: "Yeah, probably fblor the best."
S: Lucario - "Wblell, I stblill wablnna seble moblre oblf the cblity, noblt bble hblere tblhe whblole tiblme..."
Charmeleon - "Hehe, soblmeones eblager"
L: Floatzel: "Seems to me liblke the city might ble growing on you, hblahbla!"
Machoke: "Thblerebl's stblill abl loblt yoblu hblavebln't seblen!"
S: Lucario - "Habl habl veblry fblunny" lucario knows the real reason why he wants to explore the city further, but again doesn't wanna reveal that until he can talk to floatzel alone "Bblut ybleah, I wablnna keblep exblporing ablround"
Charmeleon - "Well mbly tiblme wiblth kyblgore is pblretty mublch ovbler anblyways..."
L: Kyogre: "Indeed, you all visiting isn't supposed to last all that long. But, I did enjoy having you guys here."
Machoke: "Ablw, alblrigblht..."
Floatzel: "It was realbly cool to hblang out with you, Kyoblgre!"
S: Lucario - "Ybleah, anbld thablnks agblain foblr helblping mble" lucario smiles a bit more before giving kygore a hug, which makes charmeleon's eyes go widen
L: Kyogre hugs Lucario back, almost entirely covering them with his flippers. "I hope you enjoy the city over all, despite not liking water all that much."
S: "Thblanks, iblm sloblwly gbletting usbled to iblt"
charmeleon's arms spread open as he smiles
Charmeleon - "I wablnt a hblug toblo!"
L: Floatzel: "Me too!"
Machoke: "Sablme hblere!"
Kyogre laughs and moves his flippers to make room. "Well, everyone come here then!" Both Floatzel and Machoke swim up to hug Kyogre as well.
S: lucario stays and hugs kygore again, while charmeleon swims up to hug kygore too, his tail wagging happily, and even lucario's tail is wagging too
L: Kyogre hugs all of them back at once thanks to the size difference, and Floatzel is wagging his tails as well.
S: "Mmmbl yoblu givble reblally goblod hublgs kygblore! Sblo wablrm..."
Lucario - "Ybleah I agblree :)"
L: Kyogre: "I don't really give them out all that often... I should, huh!"
Floatzel: "Definitely, thblis is great!"
S: "Totalblly!"
Charmeleon - "Yeblah! Thebly ablre awblesome!"
L: Eventually, Kyogre lets go of everyone. "Thanks for that, everyone! Never hugged that many people at once before!"
Machoke: "Sablme hblere, thblat wabls mbly biblggeblst grbloup hblug yeblt!"
S: Lucario - "Ybleah...samble...I reblally neeblded thblat groublp hblug..."
Charmeleon - "Hblehe!"
L: Kyogre: "Once again, it was nice hanging out with you all. We can do some more breath holding practice next time, whenever that'll come."
Floatzel: "Yeah, I'd be doblwn for more sometime!"
S: Lucario - "Ilbl thblink ablout iblt..."
Charmeleon - "Ybleah thabltll be fubln!"
L: Kyogre leads everyone back to the entrance of the palace, giving them each one more bubble to breathe as well.
S: lucario and charmeleon inhale their bubbles, nice that they have a fresh set of lungs for the next part in this underwater city adventure
L: Floatzel and Machoke do the same, waving to Kyogre as he closes the palace door. Then, Floatzel looks at Lucario. "So, what kinbld of place do you wablnt to check out neblxt?"
S: lucario and charmeleon wave goodbye as well
Lucario - "Hmm... somblewhblere fubln and intblresting
Charmeleon - "Ooblh ybles!"
L: Floatzel: "Well, there's thblis place not far frblom hblere that's dedicated tblo giving a safe wably of seeing whblat it's like being evblen deeper, where you cabln even feel the prblessure... That sound fun?"
Machoke: "I'vble beblen thblere beblforble, Ibl liblke iblt!"
S: "Ablw yeblah! I loblve a gblod deblep divble chabllenge!"
Lucario - "Whblat?? Nblo wblay! Loblok itbls babld enblough imbl alblready sblo fblar doblwn bublt tblo be furblther thblat?! Uh uh...nblo!"
Charmeleon- "Awbl bublt it's funbl!"
L: Floatzel: "It is, anbld it's perfectly safe, thblere's plenty of waybls to get air in iblt!"
Machoke: "Plblus, thblerebl's abl loblt oblf pebloplble thblat woblrk thblere anbld hblelp pebloplble thblat geblt ibln trblouble!"
S: "Yblep! Ybloull be finble!"
Lucario - "No, I dblont wanblna oblk? Yblou gbluys cblan do thblat if yblou reblally wablnt but I'm sblitting this onble oublt..." lucario tho hates being by himself now that he has a whole entire group of friends with him
L: Floatzel sighs out some bubbles. "It's not goblnna be much fun if iblt's not all of us..."
Machoke: "...Yeblah, mablybe soblme otblher tiblme..."
S: Charmeleon - "Ablw comble obln! I reblally wanblna dobl iblt!" getting an idea on how to convince lucario to go, he floats up to him and gives an adorable innocent face to them, which lucario knows that he can't resist cute faces like that, but one isn't enough as lucario looks at it but doesn't crack yet
L: Seeing that that's had an effect on Lucario, Floatzel does his best to do a cute face too. "It's gonna be grbleat if we do iblt together!"
Machoke tries to join in with a cute face of his own.
S: Lucario - "Ublgh, cublte facbles arble mbly weablkness!" lucario tries not to give in and tries to resist the cute faces
charmeleon then just makes his fave even cuter, his tail even wagging cutely which really is gonna sent lucario off the edge if possible
L: Floatzel wags his tails a little as well, trying to make himself as cute as possible. "Pleeeaase?"
S: Charmeleon - "Pretblty plblease??" charmeleon even whimpers cutely too
Lucario - "...ugh..." the cuteness is getting too much for lucario to ignore, but he still manages it for now, he looks at machoke who's cute face isn't as bad as the others
L: Machoke does his best to copy what Charmeleon and Floatzel are doing in terms of cuteness, but he obviously doesn't have a tail to wag. "Itbl'll ble sblo fubln!"
S: lucario shakes his head, machoke's cuteness is next level since he loves machokes so much, he looks at all 3 of them together giving their adorable faces, making it very hard to resist
L: Floatzel and Machoke keep trying, letting out little whines like Charmeleon is as well.
S: "Awwww!" lucario sighs out some bubbles

charmeleon's tail wags even more as he's finally convinced him to go

Lucario - "If yblou sably sblo..." lucario was extremely nevorus to try and explore even deeper, but he knew he had to try at least, especially with the cute faces he had to witness earlier
L: Floatzel holds Lucario's hand and leads the way to the deep diving place. Everyone gets there fairly soon, finding a large glass dome with a sign saying "Deepest of the Deep".
Floatzel: "This is the plblace. Try not to geblt too intimidated whblen we go in, yoblu can't see the boblttoblm from the top."
S: Charmeleon - "Ybleah... bublts ill stblil be fubln!"
Lucario - "Whblat?!" lucario backs away from the glass dome, which also means he took his hand off of floatzel's "Itbls thblat deeblp!?"
L: Machoke: "Yeblah, Ibl goblt scblarebld mbly fiblrst tiblme toblo..."
Floatzel swims to Lucario, doing his best to comfort them. "I know, bublt it's gonna be fiblne. No better wably to get used tblo being deep underwablter than to go doblwn there."
S: "I uhbl... I doblnt knblow aboublt thblis anyblmore... thblats wably toblo deblep!"
Charmeleon - "Aww dblont chiblcken oublt alblready!"
L: Machoke: "Coblme obln, yoblu hblavebln't evblen seblen thble deblep pablrt!"
Floatzel: "Just hblumor us on thblis, maybe you'll end ublp changing your minbld."
S: lucario crosses his arms unamused
Lucario - "anbld hoblw will I cblhange my miblnd hbluh?" lucario's face is already a bit red
L: Floatzel: "Oh, maybe I shblould mention: There's a prblize if you get albl the way to thble bottom!"
Machoke: "Yoblu jublst hblave tblo ble abln aiblr-brbleatblher foblr iblt, whblich wble albl arble."

L: Floatzel: "It changes evblery time someone gets iblt, but it should ble listed out hblere somewhere." After a quick look around, Floatzel finds a sign next to the door that says "Current prize for reaching the bottom: $600"

S: Lucario - "$600?!?! OMGBL!!!!!!!!" lucario has never seen that much money before, his tail is wagging like crazy
Charmeleon - "Hblehe!!"
L: Floatzel: "Something I foblrgot, though: You hblave to get to thble bottom without using anbly air sources on thble way down. Let me tebll you, that is NOBLT easy."
Machoke: "Yeblah, I'vble neblver doblne iblt..."
S: "Me neblther...
immediately lucario's excitement is gone

L: Floatzel: "But, nothing says yoblu hblave to do it alblone! We can go toblgether and I can giblve you air!"
Machoke: "Itbl'd prblobably ble beblst iblf iblt wabls jublst thble twblo oblf yoblu, sblo yoblu dobln't hblave tblo keblep albl oblf ubls gobling."
S: Charmeleon - "Dablang, machbloke isbl riblght... I gbluess I'll havble to gblo doblwn thblere anblther tiblme, mablybe afbler thbley gblo mble and mablchoke cabln gblo doblwn togblether"
Lucario - "Wablit...bublt wobltb you gbliving me aiblr be chbleating? You dblid sably nblo air soblruces..."
L: Floatzel: "That only reblfers to ones that weblre actually BUILT to giblve air, like air pocketbls and those bubble fobluntains. Since the aiblr I can give coblmes from my lungs, thblat's perfectly fine."
S: "Gubless thblat mablkes senblse, but I stblill donblt knblow... imbl reblally scblared..." lucario's face is turning more red because of his nervousness and the need to breathe
Charmeleon - "Thblink aboublt thblat monbley!"
L: Machoke: "Ibl'd ble scblarebld toblo, Ibl dobln't blblame yoblu." He's blushing a little as well.
Floatzel: "It'll be fine! Evblen if we don't mablke it, there's people reblady to hblelp us get air. Speakbling of that..." He blows a couple bubbles for both Lucario and Machoke to breathe, quickly starting to blush after.
S: lucario breathe his bubble in, his face returning to normal
Lucario - "tblat monbley...woubld be amblazing to hblave in mbly pockblet..." lucario peeks inside the glass dome "Y-yoblu knblow whblat... leblts dblo it! But, sinblce itbls gblonna be jblust me anbld floatblzel..." lucario takes and holds both of floatzel's hands "I defblinbly neebld somble supblport throughbl thblis"
L: Floatzel smiles at Lucario. "We'll make it, dobln't worry. Let's hblead in, alright?"
S: "Ok..."
Charmeleon - "Goobld lublck you gbluys!!"
L: Machoke: "Hbope yoblu twblo cabln mablke iblt!"
Floatzel leads Lucario inside. It's pretty open on the inside, the wide hole leading deeper already visible ahead, but there's a lanturn at a desk to the side, who smiles at Floatzel and Lucario. "Hi! Welcome to Deepest of the Deep!"
S: Lucario - "Hbli..." lucario waved shyly at the lanturn, and also giving a shy smile too
L: Floatzel: "Hi, we're hblere to do the chblallenge."
Lanturn: "Ah, okay! I'll just need you two to sign this here before you get started. Just so it's clear you won't be holding us responsible if you end up breathing in any water down there." She slides a paper into view, offering a waterproof pen. Floatzel signs, then holds out the pen to Lucario.
S: "I'm gblonna mablke sublre thblat doeblsnt hablppen..." lucario takes the pen and signs the paper, it felt weird to sign a paper underwater but he doesn't care
L: Floatzel: "Waterproof paper sublre does look a lot liblke regular paper theblse days..."
Lanturn nods after Lucario is finished, taking the paper and pressing a button on what looks like an intercom. "Wishi, got a lucario and a floatzel coming for the challenge." She then looks at Lucario and Floatzel. "Alright, you're ready to go. A wishiwashi up ahead will fill you in on a bit more. Good luck, you two!"
S: "Thblanks, comble on floabltzel leblts go"
L: Floatzel holds Lucario's hand again as he swims with them. Before long, as expected, a wishiwashi comes up to them. "Hello, I'm Wishi! I'll be following you guys to make sure you don't cheat, because that happens sometimes. The challenge doesn't start until you actually go into the hole, so have yourselves a breather first." He gestures to what looks like a large upside-down bucket held up by three poles, air visible in the bucket-like part.
Floatzel: "Alright, thanks."
S: "Niblce, noblw ill reblally gblet frblesh breablth" lucario goes into the upside-down bucket and gasps in the air inside
L: Floatzel swims into the structure as well, catching his breath as his blush fades. "Man, even I'm kinda nervous about this, I've never tried this before..."
S: "Me neither... but I really wanna win that money! That'll change everything for me... but um, I'll explain my story later to you... it's long and complicated..." lucario's tiny blush that was there faded
L: "Yeah, really hope we can pull this off! And I'd definitely like to hear your story too, but we shouldn't keep Wishi waiting long." Floatzel starts taking deep breaths to get himself ready.
S: "Y-yeah right..." whimpering a tad, lucario starts taking some deep breathes as well
L: With how nervous Lucario had been about diving previously, Floatzel waits to go under until whenever Lucario finally does.
S: "Oh man... I'm so nervous!!! But I gotta do this! I wanna do this!! I'm not gonna be a chicken!" hugging floatzel for good luck on diving, lucario takes a final breath, holding it in and actually dives underwater all on his own
L: Floatzel smiles at how much more brave Lucario seems to be getting, and holds his breath before joining Lucario underwater again. Holding their hand once more, he swims above the hole with them... Sure enough, the bottom isn't visible. Floatzel pauses for a moment, nervous at the sight of it.
S: that's when lucario decides to comfort floatzel, even tho he's nervous too when he looks down there, he holds floatzel's other hand and nods, choosing not to talk so he doesn't waste any air, hoping to just let their bodies sink down into the hole
L: The two sink past the top of the hole, and Wishi accompanies them down. "Alright, from here, you'll be disqualified if you breathe from any of the air sources around here. Do whatever else you need to."
Floatzel nods, and keeps holding Lucario's hand as he starts spinning his tails, quickly swimming deeper.
S: lucario nods too, adjusting his swim goggles a bit before leaning on floatzel and closing his eyes, trying to not waste any air and letting floatzel swim them both down deeper, still holding floatzel's hands
L: Floatzel swims straight down for quite some time, sticking to around the middle of the hole. Over a minute passes like this, and the bottom still isn't in sight...
S: "Man this is deep..." lucario thought to himself as he continues to try and be as calm as possible, small bubbles being let loose from his nostrils and keeping his eyes closed
L: Floatzel is thinking that as well while he keeps swimming. Another minute passes, then another... Still nothing visible below.
S: pressure however is slowly becoming visible, which does make lucario struggle against it a bit, whimpering as he huddles close to floatzel, blowing more bubbles from his nostrils
L: The pressure is bothering Floatzel a little as well, as the protection the city gives seemingly struggles to reach this far down. Still, it's far from enough to make him change his mind.
S: minutes and minutes pass by as the two keep decending, eventually the pressure is fully there now, no protection from the city... lucario pinches his nose shut to keep from losing anymore air, bubbles escaping from his mouth instead, this hole must really really be deep, lucario's face is also more red by now thanks to the pressure
L: Floatzel looks at Lucario for a moment to check on them, worrying the pressure might end up being too much for them. He keeps going down regardless, wondering how much farther he has to go.
S: lucario certainly has never had to deal with water pressure before, but he seems like he's handling it well, moving his hand to cover his mouth as well as his face is fully red, he also uses his legs to try and kick down faster with floatzel's spinning of his tails, which does help...they are more then halfway down at this point
L: Floatzel is blushing a little now too, the rapid swimming and discomfort from the water pressure making him use up his oxygen a fair bit faster than normal.
S: more minutes tick by, they have now been swimming down for over 15 minutes and pretty soon lucario's face is bluer then normal, whimpering...however with how fast they are going they are actually almost at the bottom!
L: Floatzel's face is fully red now, and he whines a little as he worries about whether he and Lucario will make it all the way to the bottom.
S: lucario whines as well, slowly his face is fully blue and almost purple now! Keeping his mouth and nose tightly sealed, bubbles escaping regardless, but... after a minute and a half later, they touch the bottom!!
L: Wishi had been following the whole time, and he applauds the two. "Great work, you made it! Never thought I'd see a part-steel type get all the way down in one breath!"
Floatzel gives a strained smile, before quickly blowing a bubble for Lucario to breathe.
S: as lucario sees the bubble he quickly inhales it, his face returning to a slight red color now
"W-whbla?? Webl actblually mablde it!?!? OMBLG!!!!!" lucario's tail wags very happily
L: Floatzel: "That was WAY eablsier than I expected!"
Wishi: "Looks like we're gonna have to see about making this even deeper in the future... But anyway, help yourselves to some fresh air, I'm gonna head up and tell the others we've got a couple winners!" He starts swimming back up.
S: "Wblow...thblat was nblot bad atbl albl!! I'm shblocked!!"
L: Floatzel: "We're gonna be seblt for a good whblile now! Because we ARE goblnna be splitting thble money, right?"
S: "Uhhblh..." lucario thinks about that for a moment, while having the whole $600 would be nice, he doesn't wanna be rude to his friend, so he said "Ybles of coublrse!"
L: "Nice... Hblow about we hblead back up and gblo get ourselves that rewblard?"
S: "Alblight, yoblu shbloud problbly geblt somble ablir fblirst... yblour fablce is blue..."
L: "Mm!" Floatzel covers his mouth for a moment, somehow just now realizing how badly he needs to breathe. He heads over to a nearby air pocket with Lucario, gasping inside. "W-was too caught up in winning... F-forgot I really needed air!"
S: lucario gasps in the air too
"Heh... sorry if I freaked you out at all, I just didn't want you to drown..."
L: "Don't worry, that was my fault... Anyway, NOW let's start getting ready to go back up!" He does some deep breathing again.
S: lucario smiles in relief
"Alright well good, thanks for not blaming me" lucario starts taking some deep breathes too
L: Eventually, Floatzel holds his breath and dives under, not waiting for Lucario to dive this time with how much more confident they've been getting over time.
S: adjusting his goggles again, lucario holds his breath as well and dives underwater too, his cheeks slightly puffing up with his air
L: Smiling at Lucario, Floatzel holds their hand again and starts swimming back up with them, spinning his tails.
S: lucario smiles back, kicking his legs to help swim back up
L: It's certainly a long swim back up, but being able to breathe at air sources makes it much more casual than on the way down, and the water pressure is gradually fading as well.
S: together the duo keeps swimming up in almost perfect unison, as if they did this kind of thing for a long time, lucario has a big smile on his face the whole time they swim
L: Eventually, they finally get back up out of the hole, where several aquatic Pokemon congratulate them for completing the challenge.
S: lucario sees the aquatic pokemon cheering and that makes him blush happily, that's not from the need to breathe
L: The lanturn from before swims up and holds out a check for $600. "Way to go, you two! Wasn't sure you'd be able to do it!"
Floatzel takes the check for now. "I didn't reblally think so either!"
S: but when lucario sees the check he snatches it from floatzel, wanting to hold it instead
"W-wblow!!!"
L: Floatzel: "Oh, yep, go ahblead."
Lanturn: "You two are welcome to hang around here as much as you want, but after today we'll be closed for a day or so while we make the hole even deeper."
S: "Ooohblh! Sblounds gblood" lucario turns to floatzel "Bublts leblts gblo tell oublr frbliends thblat wble wblon!"
L: Floatzel: "We should, yeblah! Almost forgot!" He starts swimming back outside with Lucario.
S: Charmeleon and machoke are sitting on a nearby bench, waiting for floatzel and lucario, Charmeleon then sees them and waves
Charmeleon - "Thblere thbley ablre!!"
L: Machoke waves as well. "Hbley gublys! Hblow'd iblt gblo?"
Floatzel: "Well... We did iblt! We got all thble way to the boblttom on one brbleath, both of us!"
S: Lucario - "Yeblah!!" lucario shows them the $600 check as proof
Charmeleon - "Whblat?!?! Holbly coblw!! Congrblatualtions yblou gbluys!! I'm jblelous!"
L: Machoke: "Woblow, niblce! Gubless yoblu twblo arble goblnna ble spblittbling bebltweblen yoblu, hbluh?"
Floatzel: "Yeah, that's thble plan. Hblope you two arble okay with that."
S: "Abls mublch as I wablnt thblat casblh, yblou and lublcario eablrned it fablir and squalre, so ybles I'm fiblne wiblth it"
Lucario - "Heblhe!"
L: Machoke: "Ibl'm sublre webl'll ble able tblo wibln iblt oublrseblves soblmetblime."
Floatzel: "It'll definitely tablke some really strong lublngs, so you'd bebltter get a lot of prblactice."
S: Charmeleon - "Mble and mablcoke havble beebln tablking aboublt trblying iblt togeblther onblce yblou gbluys weblre doblne"
Lucario - "Oh reblally?"
L: Floatzel: "Well, they saibld they're gonna be mablking it deeper there stblarting tomorrow, so if youbl're gonna try, you miblght want to do iblt today!"
Machoke: "...Bublt thble prblize cabln onbly ble wobln onblce abl dably..."
Floatzel: "It'd still be goblod practice!"
S: "Yeblp!"
Charmeleon - "Wblell whblat do yblou sblay machbloke? Wanblna dblo it?"
L: Machoke: "...Yeblah, leblt's giblve iblt abl shblot. Anbld evblen iblf wble drblown, wobluldbln't ble mbly fiblrst tiblme."
Floatzel: "Well, hblopefully you don't end ublp pushing yourselves thblat far!"
S: Lucario - "Ybleah, gblood lublck gbluys!"
Charmeleon - "alblright leblts do iblt!" Charmeleon starts to swim over to the "Deepest of the Deep" area
L: Machoke follows them over.
Floatzel, once those two are out of earshot: "Wonder if they'll mablke it down... Kind oblf doubt it, honestly."
S: Lucario - "Floatzblel! Doblnt sblay tblhat! I hblave fablith ibln tblhen!"
L: Floatzel: "Y-yeah, sorry. People geblt surprisingly good breablth hblolds all the time arblound hblere, so maybe."
S: "Wblho knblows..." lucario watches as charmeleon and machoke get inside the dome, ready to start the challenge
L: After a similar signing process Floatzel and Lucario did, Machoke and Charmeleon are at the edge of the hole, looking down into it with Wishi keeping an eye on them.
Machoke: "Oblh bobly, thblat's REBLALLBLY deblep..."
S: Charmeleon looks down at it too, clearly very scared as he hasn't done this before
Charmeleon - "Jbleez! I dibldnt thblink iblt wblas THBLAT deblep!!! Ahhblh!"
L: "Mablybe thblis acbltuablly isbln't abl goblod idblea... Bublt, webl're alblreabldy hblere..."
S: "I dblont tblhink I wblanna gblo doblwn thblere afbler abll! I'blm toblo scablred!"
L: "Anbld albl webl'd geblt iblf wble mablde iblt ibls prblactblice... M-mablybe wble shbloulbld coblme bablck soblmetblime, yeblah..."
Wishi: "You guys ARE welcome to change your mind, it happens all the time."

L: Wishi: "Some other time, then. We'll always be here, don't worry."

S: charmeleon sighs out some bubbles
"Wblhat dobl webl dblo thblen?"
L: Machoke: "...Ibl thblink wble shbloulbld ablt leblast trbly. Iblf wble enbld ublp neblediblng tblo brbleatblhe, thblen ablt leblast wble gablve iblt abl shblot. Bublt mabln, Ibl dobln't liblke thblis..."
S: "Mble neiblther... I dblont wanblna dobl thblis..."
suddenly floatzel and lucario are behind them, well not inside the dome but more like watching them from outside the dome
Lucario - "Lblooks liblke thbley ablre prblretty scblared tblo go..."
L: Floatzel: "I kind of sablw that coming... They dblo at least seem liblke they're considerinblg it."
S: "Anbld thbley knblow I'll cblall thblem chickblens if thbley donblt do iblt, heh..."
L: Floatzel: "Hbleh, I would too... Gubless we'll just hblave to see what thbley decide hblere..."
S: "Mmhm"
meanwhile inside the glass dome...
Charmeleon - "Ublgh! I reblally doblnt wablnna gblo doblwn thblere, I doblnt halve motblativation noblw thblat theblres no reblward..."
L: Wishi: "There's certainly bragging rights in it for you guys if you get down there! But yeah, the real prize for today has already been claimed."
Machoke: "Ibl gubless brblaggbling riblghtbls wobluld stblill ble niblce..."
S: "Trblue... hmm holbld obln I havble an ibldea... one seblcond" charmeleon swims away briefly, to go get some air from the upside down bucket, then returns, looking in a direction where wishi and the lanturn would be visible "Plblease lblet ubls havble somble kiblnd oblf priblze fblor mablking it doblwn, noblt jublst fblor braggbling riblghts, I'm a cublte anbld innocblent fiblre tblype!" charmeleon gives his best cute face, whimpering cutely as well, using the same strategy he used to get lucario to go, which may work again...
L: Lanturn shakes their head. "Not how it works here. We don't get a whole lot to give out as it is, we can't do two prizes in one day."
Wishi: "Yeah, we just can't give you two anything for today. You'll have to come by some other time for that."
Machoke: "Ablw, coblme obln, mablke abln exblcepbltiobln!" He tries putting on his cute face again as well, whining a little like Charmeleon.
S: "Comble obln...pweeeeblse???" charmeleon makes his face even cuter, which is very very irresistible, whining a little more cutely as well...and his tail wags cutely too
lucario sees what those two are trying to do and giggles out some bubbles
L: Floatzel giggles a little too, but tries to stay quiet.
Lanturn sighs, and looks around her desk. "Fine, um... What about this pen? I've got a few spares."
Machoke: "Coblme obln, soblmetblhinblg acbltuablly goblod!"
Wishi: "I actually have an idea: What about being able to get one breath on the way down next time without being disqualified?"
S: "Serioblsly? Coblme obln thblats nblot gblonna wblork, webl nebleed somblethbling gblood! Bettbler thblen a pebln or whblat wblishi suggblested" charmeleon then makes his face the max amount of cuteness possible, whining more cutely too, which if his previous face wasn't irresistible then this one would be, his tail wags a bit more and to really take the cake he paws at them cutely as if he was a cute puppy
L: Machoke does his best to do the same.
Lanturn sighs more heavily, and is silent for a moment. "...Fine. $300 if you can reach the bottom. No more than that, this is cutting into MY money."
S: charmeleon stops his cuteness and just smiles
"Thblats bebletter! Webll tblake iblt!"
L: Machoke stops trying to be cute as well. "Yeblp, thblat'lbl woblrk! Thblankbls!"
Wishi: "...Well, whenever you two are ready, go ahead down."
S: outside the glass dome...

L: Floatzel: "Jeez, yeah, that's a LOBLT of money to be coblnvinced to give someone... Really hbloping they make it noblw!"

S: "Sablme heblre, bublt...webl havble to tblry..." charmeleon hugs machoke "I wblanna problve thblat fiblre tyblpes cabln dobl thblis stbluff toblo!"
L: Machoke hugs Charmeleon back. "Leblt's gblo brbleatblhe anbld geblt reblady foblr thblis, thblis ibls goblnna tablke evbleryblthiblng wble hblave."
S: "Riblght..." charmeleon swims up to the air pocket and gasps for air, waiting for machoke to come up too
L: Machoke reaches it and gasps as well, having been blushing some. "Alright, last time we're gonna be able to breathe for a while... Without losing the challenge, at least."
S: charmeleon blushed a bit too when he came up
"That's a pretty scary thought... I really hope we can do this...I want that $300"
L: "We just have to do what we can..." Machoke starts taking deep breaths.
S: "Y-yeah...right" charmeleon takes some deep breathes too, trying to push back his fear of the deep hole they would have to traverse
L: After a little while, Machoke takes and holds one more breath before diving, waiting for Charmeleon.
S: as charmeleon goes to hold his breath too, he stops...worringly looking down at the water below him as machoke dives, the thoughts of that deep hole are slowly consuming him, and he doesn't dive underwater right away
L: Machoke soon surfaces in the air pocket again. "Still too scared? I really don't blame you, honestly..."
S: "After all that cuteness work, I'm still way too scared... I have a fear of the dark...and I know going down that hole will be pretty dark, and the fact pressure is gonna be an issue? I feel like I'm just as scared as lucario right now..."
L: "But we can't back out now, not after the work we did to convince that lanturn to give us an actual reward for going down there!"
S: charmeleon sighs "I know I know...ugh... this is giving my flashbacks to the first time I went to this underwater city...I was terrified as heck!"
L: "Couldn't have been easy, being a fire type all the way down here... What made you eventually feel better about it?"
S: "Well, I was spending my time in the airlock when I first got here all scared and what not, and floatzel noticed how scared I was, that's kinda how I first met him...and somehow his calming nature convinced me to go out there and explore, he was by my side every step of the way, and we eventually became really good friends, now I visit this city pretty often...even tho my parents are still terrified of me going down here, I'm almost an adult, I can make my own decisions, heh"
L: "Floatzel seems like a really great guy, now I know of two people he's helped get used to being here... Kind of funny how your parents don't like you being here, even though you're clearly fine with water in general."
S: "I know, maybe it's because they can't swim themselves, I wanted to learn how to swim and all that, so I took a private swim class... lemme tell you, submerging for the first time? Man...that was REALLY rough for me... it litteraly took me a whole month for my instructor to finally convince me to submerge, but I'm happy I did... cause it's real cool seeing what lurks underwater, and now I love it, for the most part anyways...heh"
L: "Yeah, it's really cool to see a fire type actually beat a fear of water! Don't think I've ever heard of that before!"
S: "It's a very rare sight, I was actually thinking I wasn't gonna go under, but I did! And I'm very happy I beat out my fear" charmeleon's tail gives a happy wag
L: "So am I, otherwise I probably never would've met you, and you're pretty cool!" Machoke gives Charmeleon a hug.
S: that makes charmeleon blush and he happily hugs machoke back
"Awww thank you! You're pretty cool too! You live down here? Or do you visit like me?"
L: "I live in this city! Felt like getting serious about breath holding practice a while back because I really like swimming, so I visited here, and then I ended up liking this place so much I decided to move in!"
S: "Oh really? Wow that's really cool! I've been thinking about moving down here myself, yknow when I get a little older and all that, I've been trying to convince my parents to let me but I haven't managed so far, heh... down here is a lot more peaceful then the surface world"
L: "They've got their reasons for not wanting you to move here. They're probably worried you'll end up drowning, even though there's a ton of safety stuff to help you if that happens."
S: "I'm lucky I haven't drowned once... cause I know if I did, then I would definitely be afraid to go under for a while, so I've been doing my best to avoid it"
L: "I've drowned a couple times at this point, and yeah, I was definitely too scared to swim for a little while each time... So, it's definitely a real concern."
S: "You drowned a couple times? Yikes! That has to have sucked... but I know one day I'll finally convince my parents to let me move down here, I've still got a couple of years to convince them"
L: "Maybe if you show them just how good you've gotten with water from coming here, that'll make them feel better about you living here? It's worth a shot, if you haven't tried that."
S: "Well, I guess that might work... technically I haven't even shown them my swimming skills yet since we don't have a pool at our house, since again they can't swim...so I'll see if I can look into trying that"
L: "Even just showing them how long you can hold your breath might help. Certainly couldn't hurt."
S: "That's also true, I can hold my breath for a pretty long time...longer then most pokemon for sure, heh"
L: "From what I've seen, you ARE pretty great at it for a fire type. Maybe we've got a decent shot at getting all the way down..."
S: "Oh...yeah maybe, I don't know..." charmeleon sighs a bit, having forgotten they still had a task to do
L: "Do you feel like you're ready to try now? I'm a good bit more confident than before."
S: "I guess after talking with you I do feel a little better about this whole situation, so... yeah I think I'm more ready this time"
L: "Alright, let's try this again..." Machoke starts getting ready once again.
S: charmeleon does as well, taking some deep breathes again, but this time he feels a little bit better about going underwater
L: Machoke eventually dives again, still waiting for Charmeleon like before.
S: "You can do this charmeleon, don't let your fear own you!"
with a determined look, charmeleon gasps one last time, holding his breath before he finally submerges underwater
L: With a smile and nod, saving his air by not talking, Machoke swims back to the edge of the hole, looking down into it.
S: charmeleon nods back and swims back to the edge of the hole too, intimated again by the sight of it, but shakes his head... ready to face his fears of the deep
L: Machoke swims over the edge, finally starting the challenge as he starts going deeper.
S: charmeleon does as well, deciding he wants to save his energy he just let's himself sink down and not move, closing his eyes and pinching his nose shut
L: Soon, Machoke notices and decides to do the same, getting next to Charmeleon and just relaxing, holding his nose and sinking without needing to do anything.
S: charmeleon opens his eyes a bit and sees machoke next to him, he smiles a bit before moving a bit closer and closing his eyes again, sinking down at a good pace
L: The two sink together for quite a while, no bubbles leaving them as they gradually go deeper and deeper...
S: charmeleon is focusing only on his breath and nothing else, trying to keep his composure in the deep hole, gradually pressure is slowly becoming visible
L: "Mm..." The pressure is getting uncomfortable over time, but not to the point where Machoke is having any major issues.
S: "Mmmmm!" charmeleon however is already uncomfortable since he's not really used to water pressure, keeping his nose pinched as he let's some small bubbles loose from his mouth to hopefully deal with it as they sink down further, pressure growing overtime as charmeleon's face is a bit redder then normal
L: Machoke gives Charmeleon a one-handed backrub to try to help with the pressure, recognizing what it is that's giving them issue. He's blushing some as well.
S: "Mmmm...." charmeleon relaxes at the backrub, seems like it helps him calm down and deal with the pressure, so far they are just above the halfway point.... charmeleon reaches up with his free hand and rubs machoke's back too, hoping to help them in anyways too
L: It does help Machoke some as well, and he relaxes a little. Still keeping his eyes closed, he doesn't know how far he and Charmeleon have gone, but he's still fairly confident.
S: charmeleon is feeling pretty confident too, he smiles as he's determined to make it to the bottom...as they are now halfway down, charmeleon's face is fully red...but even that doesn't stop him from continuing to sink down, keeping his eyes closed as well
L: Machoke's chest is starting to heave, making him grunt every now and then as the descent continues. He keeps doing his best to stay calm, though.
S: charmeleon's chest also heaves as well, grunting a bit more then machoke...he's also trying his hardest to stay calm as they get even deeper....this goes on for several minutes
L: Machoke is slowly starting to lose his composure over time, finally opening his eyes and looking down to see how much distance is left. "Mmm...Mm!"
S: hearing machoke's voice charmeleon is also starting to lose his composure, opening his eyes and looking up at how far he's gone down, his eyes widen
"Mmmm!!!!" he yelps out some bubbles, scared as his body keeps sinking down, his face now turning blue
L: Machoke quickly covers Charmeleon's mouth so they don't lose more air, nervously smiling as he tries to reassure them even as he's getting a bit blue himself.
S: charmeleon nods, letting machoke cover his mouth as he closes his eyes again, little did they know they are almost at the bottom, but charmeleon's face is fully blue and even a bit purple
L: Machoke starts to whine as he tightly shuts his eyes, little bubbles leaving his mouth while his face starts to turn a bit purple too...
S: charmeleon whines as well, constant bubbles escaping him as his face is purple now, he's super close to inhaling the water around them, but by some miracle they felt their feet touch the bottom of the hole!
L: Machoke: "Wbl-wble dibld iblt!? MMM!" He's surprised to have made it down, but immediately covers his mouth, nearly out of breath as well!
Wishi: "Oh wow, I didn't think you had it in you! Quick, get to that air pocket!" He gestures to it, and Machoke starts frantically swimming toward it.
S: "Whblat?!?!?! MMMM!!!!" charmeleon covers his own mouth and frantically swims for the air pocket too, he actually ending up inhaling a little water though his nostrils, but both of them safely surfacing in it and gasping very heavily for air, charmeleon coughing as well to get that little bit of water out of him
L: Machoke struggles to not go back under as he coughs and gasps, seemingly having taken in a little water himself.
S: charmeleon's moves was so frantic he actually went back under for a moment before coming back up immediately, coughing again, but slowly as he gasps in the air, his face slowly returns to normal
"Hah...hah...omg...I think I actually inhaled a bit of water there!" he looks over at machoke and helps him stay up "You ok machoke??"
L: After some panting, Machoke nods. "Th-think I'm fine... G-got some water too..." The purple of his face fades back to blue, then red.
S: charmeleon breathes heavily as his face returns to its normal red color, hugging machoke
"W-we did it...we actually made it all the down! I didn't think i was gonna!"
L: Machoke: "N-neither did I! I can't believe it!"
Wishi surfaces next to the two. "I'm just gonna head up and let everyone know you made it. Feel free to get as much air as you want on the way up."
S: "Thanks wishi! I'm definitely gonna need some time to recover, I definitely don't have any energy in my lungs right now to dive back down right away..."
L: Machoke: "Same here, I need at least a few minutes..."
Wishi: "That's fine, you two take your time." He dives underwater again, swimming away.
S: "Phew...what a dive! That was crazy!" charmeleon's tail wags a bit
L: Machoke: "But, we did it! Can't wait to see that lanturn's reaction when we get back up there!"
S: "Omg, the look on his face when we he finds out, he probably thinks he's safe...but nope, we surprised him, hehe!"
L: "And I bet this might be a good way to convince your parents you're fine in water, too! Just maybe leave out almost drowning..."
S: "That's very true, I just wish I had like actual proof that I did this, that'll help further if I did have that"
L: "We could probably get something like that, maybe we can have the lanturn write a note that says you did it."
S: "A note? I don't know if that's gonna be good enough... they could think I wrote it, heh..."
L: "That's a good point... Maybe they'll have something more official-looking we can get instead."
S: "I guess that's possible, I guess we won't know till we get back up there..."
L: "Yeah, better get going soon. Especially so we don't have to worry about the pressure any more, think I'm gonna end up sore tomorrow..."
S: "Me too, but my lungs are still really sore from that intense dive, I don't know if have the energy for the swim back up"
L: "Same here... We can at least take breaks on the way up, there were a lot more air pockets than just this one."
S: "That's true...they're are plenty of air pockets... but, I don't even know if I can force my body to go back under right now...I'm THAT tired"
L: "We could always just relax in here for a while. Not like we have to go up right away."
S: "I guess but we've already been here for a while... and yet I'm still tired... you think when we do submerge I could hold onto you so I don't have to swim?"
L: "Yeah, that'd be fine. Takes a lot to tire out someone like me, so don't worry about that!"
S: "Thanks machoke, I really appreciate that" charmeleon smiles warmly at him "I can't believe someone who's as big as you are can be such a big softie to someone like me, hehe...in other words your really really nice"
L: "Machokes in general tend to be kind of misunderstood... But thanks, yeah! You've really been growing on me since we met!"
S: "Awww really? Same here, I've grown onto you and lucario and a lot! I honestly love meeting new friends! Especially those who are big and strong that can protect me from anything bad, haha!"
L: "This has definitely been a pretty fun time, I'm really glad we just happened to have met!"
S: "Me too!" charmeleon hugs machoke again, his little tail even hugging machoke too, he's mindful of the flame and it doesn't get on machoke in anyway possible "Hehehe!!!! Oh and your cute face is pretty good! I think I would have fallen for it if I saw it for the first time!"
L: Machoke hugs Charmeleon back. "That was my first try with it earlier when we were convincing Lucario, I've never done that before then. I was surprised how well it worked!"
S: "Well it's pretty adorable! I think you did a great job at it! You should definitely use that if you ever meet someone who's like scared of your appearance or something"
L: "I'll try to keep that in mind if it ever happens, it does seem like it'd be pretty useful. Wonder what other sorts of stuff we'd be able to do by giving people that look..."
S: "Hmm I don't know, I'm sure you'll discover new ways for that, heh"
L: "Yeah... Anyway, I feel like I'm ready to start going back up now, what about you?"
S: "Well...." charmeleon thinks about it for a moment "I guess so, since I'm technically not gonna be swimming... we'll probably have to stop by a lot of air pockets cause my lungs need an overnight rest if im gonna be able to hold my breath for a while again"
L: "We'll take a break at each one, and work our way up like that. That should help, especially since my lungs are still a bit sore too."
S: "Alright then, I guess that sounds good then... I probably have 3 to 4 minutes at best now"
L: "Same here... Pretty sure we'll be fine, though." Machoke starts breathing deeply again.
S: "Yeah I hope so" charmeleon starts breathing deeply as well, going over to hold onto machoke so he doesn't have to swim
L: Machoke lets Charmeleon hold onto him. He waits for them to signal him to go under, continually keeping himself ready.
S: after a couple more breathes, charmeleon lowers his goggles over his eyes again and gets ready, tapping on machoke as he's ready and holds his breath
L: Machoke nods, gasping one more time before diving under and beginning to swim up the hole above.
S: charmeleon tries to remain calm as his sore lungs are already complaining that he has to hold his breath again, bubbles already loose from his nostrils
L: As strained as Machoke also is, he keeps swimming up as well as he can, heading straight for the next air pocket.
S: they eventually get to the next air pocket and charmeleon gasps the air inside a bit heavily, his lungs really are sore
L: Machoke gasps as well. "M-man, we still have so far to go... This really sucks..."
S: "Yeah...this does suck... my lungs really are sore, I think now I only have like 2 or 3 minutes now that I think about it"
L: "Well, at least we know we can get between each one without much issue..." Machoke silently worries whether there might be an air pocket that's broken at some point on the way up...
S: machoke may have definitely jinxed himself on that slient worry, and charmeleon is also slient worrying about that too
"That's true... man I hate this..."
L: "We'll get there eventually, just have to keep putting up with it and going between each pocket in a row..." He starts getting ready for another dive.
S: "As much as I don't wanna hold my breath again, I don't really have a choice now" charmeleon starts to get ready for the dive too
L: Like before, Machoke waits for a signal from Charmeleon, diving once he receives it and heading up for the next air pocket.
S: this air pocket took a bit longer to get too, but thankfully they manage to get to the next pocket, charmeleon gasping in the air inside of it
L: Machoke gasps too. "A-another down... Who knows how many to go..."
S: "Ugh... my lungs have never been this sore before... guess I've never really pushed myself that far"
L: "Believe me, even this is still way better than drowning..." Machoke gets ready for another leg of the ascent.
S: "Yeah that's true..." charmeleon gets ready as well, and little did they know the next air pocket was broken and out of order!
L: Once again, with the signal, Machoke dives and continues swimming toward the exit of the hole.
S: as they make it to the next air pocket, they find that it's out of order which makes charmeleon almost gasp in the water around him
L: "MM!" Already having a red face, Machoke briefly covers his mouth before resuming swimming up, worrying he and Charmeleon might not make it to the next one in time.
S: charmeleon whimpers, covering his mouth as his face is fully red, bubbles escaping anyways as he keeps holding onto machoke, hoping they will indeed make it to the next air pocket
L: Keeping one hand on his mouth, Machoke tries to speed up his swimming some, trickling bubbles as he whines a little.
S: but thankfully they make it to the next air pocket just in time, charmeleon gasping heavily
L: Gasping hard, Machoke heavily pants as he'd been going a bit blue by the time he'd gotten here. "O-of course one's broken... J-just HAD to happen..."
S: "Man that was bad luck! I-i can't believe that happened!" charmeleon frowns
L: "W-well, at least we know we're not screwed if just one isn't working... Ugh, this is so annoying..."
S: "Very annoying indeed, I hate this!"
L: Machoke sighs. "And I still didn't see the top out there... This is gonna take forever!"
S: "They did say we could take our time with this at least... there's no rush...but I kinda wanna get outta here soon"
L: "Same here... I have no idea how many of these are left..." He starts getting ready to dive once again.
S: "Me neither..." charmeleon gets ready too
L: Again, Machoke waits for the signal from Charmeleon, then swims out of the air pocket to continue up.
S: the next air pocket was a bit far this time, they pass the halfway point
L: Machoke keeps on swimming, blushing again at this point but at least still doing okay for now.
S: charmeleon is blushing as well, but he's managing... as they keep swimming up they realize they are coming up to the last air pocket before the final swim out of the hole, they surface in it and gasp for air
L: "G-guess we're closer than I thought! Glad this is finally gonna be over..."
S: "Yeah...thank Arceus... I thought for sure this would take longer, but we're almost out! I just hope my tired lungs can hold on until I get to the watertight train, I promised my parents I would be home before 5, and I don't even know what time it is now"
L: "Neither do I... I'll help you get to the train after this, don't want your parents to get worried." Machoke gets ready for the last stretch of the swim up.
S: "Thanks machoke, I appreciate it... I'm just glad my parents aren't like yknow strict, they are pretty understandable" charmeleon does as well
L: "Yep, they're just looking out for you..." With the signal again, Machoke heads the rest of the way up with Charmeleon.
S: even with sore lungs charmeleon manages until they finally escape the hole, his tail wagging as they do, he also giggles as he's ready to see lanturn's face when she finds out they made it
charmeleon chooses to not saying anything yet so he doesn't waste any air
L: Like when Lucario and Floatzel had come up, several Pokemon - including a dejected-looking lanturn - are there to congratulate them.
Machoke laughs a little at the lanturn's expression before covering his mouth for a moment.
S: charmeleon laughs a bit too, before covering his own mouth a bit, he then turns to lanturn and floats off of machoke
"Pably ublp!"
L: Lanturn: "Yeah, here..." She holds out a check for the promised $300.
S: charmeleon takes the check
"Thblank yoblu!" he takes it over to machoke and smiles happily
L: Machoke smiles as he confirms the check is right, then he looks at Lanturn. "Cobluld wble alblso geblt soblmetblhinblg tblo coblnfiblrm wble dibld thblis?"
Lanturn sighs. "Alright, I'll go get a couple certificates for you two." She swims back to the desk to work on that.
S: "Thblat shblould dobl iblt, cerbltificabltes ablre pblretty problfessonal"
L: Lanturn soon returns with a couple certificates, which each say "This document is proof that "Charmeleon" and "Machoke" successfully reached the bottom of Deepest of the Deep on a single breath."
Lanturn: "There you go."
Machoke takes one.
S: "Thblanks!" charmeleon takes one as well, smiling "uhblhh... lanblturn, do yblou knblow whblat tblime it ibls?" his face turns redder then normal
L: Lanturn: "It's a little past 3:30. Need to be somewhere?"
Machoke: "Yeblah, hble nebleds tblo ble hblome bly 5."
S: "Sbltill gblot plblenty oblf timble... leblts gblo tebll lucablrio and floblatzebl!"
L: Machoke: "Deblfinblitebly! Thbley'rble goblnna ble imblpreblssebld!" He swims outside the dome with Charmeleon.
S: charmeleon swims out as well...they find floatzel and lucario playing rock paper scissors on the bench
Lucario - "Hbla! I wblin agblain!"
L: Floatzel: "Can't believe I'm loblsing this much..." He looks over at Machoke and Charmeleon. "Oh, there yoblu are! You certainly took abl while!"
Machoke: "Webll, thblat's beblcaublse..." He shows the certificate. "Wble mablde iblt doblwn!"
S: charmeleon shows them his certificate too
Charmeleon - "Ybleah! Anbld gblot $300!"
Lucario - "Whaablaa?? Yblou actblually mablde iblt all thble wably doblwn??? Imblpressive!"
L: Floatzel: "Woah, nice! Bublt, I thought they onbly gave out onble prize a day..."
Machoke: "Thbley dblo, bublt wble coblnviblncebld thblem tblo dblo abln exbltra!"
S: Charmeleon - "Hbleh, leblts jblust sably mbly cublte fable is pblretty effectiblve"
Lucario - "Woblw..."
L: Machoke: "Sablme wiblth miblne... Abl-alblso, wble shbloulbld geblt tblo abln aiblr poblckeblt, diblvinblg thblat fablr reblallbly toblok iblt oublt oblf ubls."
Floatzel: "I was jublst about to say wble should hblead over to one, Ibl could use a brbleath myself." He gets up off the bench.
S: Lucario - "Samble hblere..." lucario gets off the bench too, before they all go over to a nearby air pocket space, it's space big enough for all of them as they surface and gasp for air
Charmeleon - "Phew, well now I should get going to the train, I gotta get to my parents"
L: Machoke: "I'll head there with you, to make sure you get there fine since neither of us can really stay under long right now."
Floatzel: "You must have really pushed yourselves, huh?"
S: "Oh yes... my lungs are so sore...and I'll probably be sore again tommorw..."
Lucario - "Yikes!"
L: Machoke: "Yeah, the pressure was pretty bad too... With those guys apparently planning on making the place even deeper, don't think we're gonna be able to do that again."
Floatzel: "Well, at least you got it while you could, right?"
S: Charmeleon - "Yep! Who knows with practice we may be able to reach even deeper machoke!"
Lucario - "Yeah and maybe me and floatzel together could get deeper too"
L: Machoke: "I've had a lot of practice already, but it was always alone. Like Kyogre said earlier, having a friend for it would probably help."
Floatzel: "Lucario and I are definitely gonna be able to beat the deeper version of that place once it's done!"
S: "Totally"
Charmeleon - "Anyways, me and machoke should probably get going... I wanna actually breathe in some fresh air, heh"
L: Machoke: "Yeah, surface air always feels better than what's down here. See you two some other time!" He starts breathing deeply.
Floatzel: "Bye guys!"
S: Lucario - "Bye bye!"
pretty soon, charmeleon deeply breathes too and both him and machoke dive back underwater, then lucario looks at floatzel
"So, i um...wanna share my story with you, but... you live in a house down here right? And you said all homes have an air pocket?"
L: Floatzel: "I do, yeah, and mine does, it's got a couple of them. Why?"
S: "I would feel more comfortable explaining everything at your place, not in an air pocket, heh"
L: "Sure, I can bring you there. It's about 10 minutes from here, at least with how fast I can swim." He gets ready to dive.
S: "10 minutes huh? Not too bad I guess..." lucario giggles a bit nervously before he prepares himself too
L: "Yep, think we can do that in just one breath if you hold onto me." Floatzel holds out his hand to Lucario.
S: lucario smiles and holds onto floatzel's hand
"Yeah, your a much faster swimmer then me, so I trust you can get us there in one breath"
L: Floatzel nods, taking one last breath before going under, spinning his tails to quickly swim with Lucario.
S: lucario took one last breath as well before floatzel pulled him down with him, pinching his nose shut with his free hand
L: Floatzel navigates through the city easily, working his way to his house, without any real issue.
S: lucario was quite impressed on how fast floatzel is going, he smiles a bit
L: Eventually, with Floatzel only blushing a little, he reaches his house. "Alright, we're hblere!"
S: lucario's face is fully red, but his tail wags as they make it
"Finblally!"
L: Floatzel brings Lucario inside, where there's an air pocket just above the entrance. He surfaces in it with them with only a light gasp. "Easy enough... So, you wanted to talk about something, right?"
S: lucario gasps as well, noticing a ledge above them that's big enough for them to sit on, so lucario pulls himself out of the water to sit on it, making some room for the floatzel
"Yes...I do, you definitely wanna sit down for this one..."
L: He sits down next to Lucario, looking concerned. "Is everything okay?"
S: lucario sighs heavily
"Well, not really... I wanted to talk to you about what's been going on in my life and why I was coming down here in the first place, cause there's more to it then just wanting to come here for fun"
L: "Yeah, it certainly didn't seem like you came here just to have fun, with how nervous you were at first..."
S: "Yeah...anyways I'll go ahead and explain.... you see, I don't really live the best life right now... I'm in and out of homes, trying to find shelter back in the surface world... my parents...well, one of them died from a disease and the other one drowned... so I pretty have nobody else in my life... lucario starts to to tear up in this next sentence "A-and the worse part of it all.... I get bullied every....single...day! Because a homeless lucario is definitely a rare sight... somedays I get teased so much I actually end up crying for a whole day..."
L: Floatzel sits silently for a moment, then just hugs Lucario. "Th-that's horrible... I-I can't do a whole lot, but... If you want, you can stay with me until you get things figured out."
S: lucario hugs floatzel back
"See that's the thing... I don't know if my mental health would survive living down here underwater... when I first saw this underwater city on TV, I thought this would be a good escape from all the bullying...and it is... but when my father drowned I almost drowned with him...and that's why I'm so scared of being submerged...1 day is enough for me but multiple? I-i don't know honestly"
L: "It's definitely impressive you even managed to go in the water at all, then... But, if you're not mentally okay with staying here, there isn't a whole lot I can do... You can at least have the full prize money from that dive earlier to yourself, if you want."
S: "No way...we earned that money fair and square, we both deserve it" lucario sighs "and even if I had the full prize money, it's not like I'll do me any good, I'm still gonna get picked on...I'm sure those bullied are just waiting for me to return... I honestly don't know what to do.... I do really love this city tho, everyone here is so nice and friendly, for once I actually feel at ease rather then worring about what's gonna happen to me"
L: "Maybe I could get you some scuba gear? Not many people here use it, but it does exist, and that'll probably be a big help, right?"
S: "Well.... I guess not having to hold my breath all the time would be nice... but, there's plenty of air sources here already, plus I still need practice on my breath holding in general... but still having that would make things a bit better... I guess"
L: "Then I'll get a set for you soon. You can just use it for more casual stuff, when you don't feel like holding your breath."
S: "Yeah...I guess so... I'll take me a while to adjust to a new environment... but I don't feel like getting bullied anymore.... and my life is already so bad as it is... so maybe moving in with you wouldn't be so bad after all..." lucario tears up again "I do miss my mom and dad...so so much..."
L: "I don't blame you, I would too... I'll do everything I can to help you get comfortable down here, alright?"
S: "Thanks floatzel...I really appreciate you...so so much...your the bestest friend I could ever have"
L: Floatzel hugs Lucario again. "Don't worry about it. As much as living down here might kinda suck for you at first, I'll help you get more used to it."
S: "Thanks... I hope I'll be able to handle living down here" lucario hugs floatzel back, then suddenly someone knocks repeatly, almost seeming like it's desperate
"H-huh? Who's that??"
L: Floatzel looks down at the door, then back to Lucario. "Sorry, I'd better go get that." He takes a breath and goes back down, opening the door once he gets to it.
S: "Hang on, I wanna see too!" lucatio takes a breath as well goes down too to see who's at the door
in a shocking turn of events, two kids are at door, one of then being a Butterfree, their face entirely red as they cover their mouth, looking desperately at the floatzel and lucario for air as they whine
L: Next to the butterfree is a breloom that looks just as breathless as the butterfree.
Floatzel: "Oh! Um... Yeah, coblme in, there's an aiblr pocket right insiblde."
S: "Whblat thble..." lucario looks pretty surprised as he sees them
the butterfree immediately goes in and to the air pocket at the entrance, their swim movements very poor, but they manage to gasp in the air...soon lucario surfaces in the air pocket with a light gasp, looking concerned
L: The breloom doesn't seem that good at swimming either, but Floatzel helps them get up into the air pocket.
Floatzel: "You two okay?"
Breloom: "Y-yeah, I'm fine..."
S: Butterfree - "M-me too... ugh, I hate being submerged... I don't understand why our parents wouldn't accompany us on this trip..."
Lucario - "Huh?"
Butterfree - "We're trying to visit a relative of ours that lives down here, but...it hasn't been very easy... I'm only 7!"
L: Breloom: "And I'm just 8... We barely even know how to swim, I don't know how we're gonna do this!"
Floatzel: "Well that sucks... Do you want some help getting to them?"
S: Lucario - "7 and 8? Wow, actual kids down here, never thought I see the day..."
Butterfree - "I guess some help would be nice, but I don't know if I'm gonna be able to go underwater after almost drowning already! I'm scared...." the butterfree hops up to ledge above them so she wouldn't have to be in the water

S: Butterfree - "They don't even live close by here...they live the furtherest parts of the city... where there's more room and everything... Breloom may like water but I absolutely HATE it!"
Lucario - "In other words I guess it's kinda far..."
L: Floatzel: "Think I know where you're referring to... Even for me, that'd take like an hour to reach..."
Breloom: "I-I don't wanna be underwater that long!"
S: Butterfree - "AN HOUR?!?? Are you nuts?!?! I don't wanna be underwater that long either!"
Lucario - "Jeez...an hour?? Even I don't wanna be submerged that long"
L: Floatzel: "Unless you all are okay with waiting a long time, I don't really know how we're going to do this."
Breloom: "I wish we could just go without being underwater somehow..."
S: Butterfree - "That's impossible breloom... maybe we should just wait..."
Lucario - "Yeah um...floatzel I can stay with these two while you go get their relative, I can keep them company"
L: Floatzel: "Yeah, I don't mind leaving you guys here. The other air pockets are in the bedroom and the bathroom. Make yourselves at home while I'm gone!" He takes some deep breaths.
Breloom: "P-probably just gonna end up staying in this one..."
S: Butterfree - "M-me too... I'm not moving..."
Lucario - "Well I don't know about you, but I'm gonna explore floatzel's house for a bit, but I'll be back" lucario takes some deep breathes too
L: Floatzel: "Fine by me, check out all you want." He holds his breath and dives, swimming out of the house.
Breloom: "I guess being in an underwater house is at least kinda neat..."
S: lucario soon holds his breath and dives under too, swimming around to explore leaving the butterfree and breloom alone
Butterfree - "Uhh I guess.... but need I remind you were In an environment that you can't breathe in!"
L: Breloom: "I-I mean, yeah, but now we can. Don't exactly won't to go back under..."
S: "Me neither... I wanna stay here... I knew it was bad idea coming here, I can't believe our parents convinced us to go... they just had to be busy with stuff and couldn't come along to guide us...ugh"
L: "At least we're not going to have to go anywhere but back the way we came after this... Even that's gonna suck, but at least it'll be over after that."
S: "Breloom, haven't you forgotten the whole reason we're here? We're staying with our uncle for the whole day! So it's not like we're going back to the surface anytime soon..."
L: "I know, yeah, and it's gonna be fun! But eventually we'll have to be underwater again..."
S: "There's no way I'm gonna back down there! Underwater is no place for someone like me..."
L: "Same here... Even though I'm part grass type, I really don't like being underwater."
S: "Well at least my own sibling agrees with me on something, heh..." eventually lucario comes back to the air pocket the kid duo are in, gasping for air
Lucario - "You guys still doing ok?"
Butterfree - "Yeah, for the most part..."
L: "Yeah, it's just gonna be kinda boring waiting in here... N-not that I'd want to go underwater again..."
S: "Yeah same here..."
Lucario - "That's ok, I understand... I was scared too to go underwater, in fact this is my first time visiting this city too, and I'm even considering moving down here with floatzel..."
L: "What made you feel better about it? Maybe it'll work for us too..."
S: Butterfree - "Y-yeah, any tips would be nice"
Lucario - "Well... having a friend with you really helps you stay calmer underwater especially a a group of friends, I met floatzel while I was on my way down here on that train, I was terrified to go out here... but thanks to floatzel's support, I managed... plus its perfectly safe down here, there's lots of air bubbles and air pockets around the city if you need to breathe"
L: "THAT'S what those water fountain things are, isn't it? They make bubbles! Butterfree and I were just going between air pockets instead..."
S: Butterfree - "Ohhh that's what those are for... interesting...."
Lucario - "Yeah! You push a button on the side of it and it makes a pretty decent sized bubble for you to inhale"
L: "Okay, that definitely helps, and there's a lot more of those than air pockets... Guess I do feel a little better now."
S: Butterfree - "Ok even if we had all those things to breathe from, we're still underwater where we can't breathe freely all the time...I'm still scared..."
Lucario - "Well being underwater isn't as bad as may seem it is, it's actually kind of relaxing... but...that's kind of hard to explain to you guys on how it is... anyways, I'm gonna go back under, I missed a place in floatzel's house that I haven't seen yet, be right back" lucario takes a deep breath and once again dives underwater
L: Breloom sighs. "I wish I was confident enough to go down there with him..."
S: butterfree sighs too
Butterfree - "...me too... but I don't know if that's ever gonna happen..." by now it's been pretty close to an hour
L: Soon, the front door opens, Floatzel having returned. "I'm back, evbleryone! And I'm not alone!"
S: butterfree and breloom didn't hear floatzel come in since they were in the air pocket, it sounded muffled...but lucario came back and noticed floatzel is back
Lucario - "Oh yblour bablck!"
L: A blastoise swims in with him as well. "Now, whblere are my niece ablnd nephew..."
Floatzel: "Think they're stblill up in thblat air pocket above us."
S: lucario looks up "Yblep thbley ablre, yoblu mublst be thbleir uncble? I'm lublcario, niblce to mbleet yblou!"
L: Blastoise: "And I'm Blastoise. Iblf you'll just give mble a minute..." He surfaces up in the air pocket. "There you two are!"
Breloom: "Uncle Blastoise!" He hops into the water to give them a hug.
S: Butterfree - "Uncle Blastoise your here!!" butterfree glides down from the ledge and hugs them as well
lucario meanwhile surfaces in the air pocket too
L: Blastoise hugs both Breloom and Butterfree back. "I'm glad you two could come by! How are you doing?"
Breloom: "Could be better I guess, since our parents couldn't come..."
Floatzel surfaces as well, watching the three.
S: Butterfree - "Yeah...and being submerged underwater is NOT fun!"

L: Blastoise: "Yeah, I'd heard your parents were busy today, and that you don't really like diving... At least you made it after all, it's great to see you!"
S: "It's great to see you too uncle blastoise, I missed you" butterfree hugs blastoise again but a bit tighter

L: Breloom: "I really missed you too!"
Blastoise: "How long have you two been in this air pocket? Seems pretty boring in here..."
S: "Yeah...it is boring, I think we've been here for like an hour and a half..."
L: Blastoise: "Well this is definitely no place to stay on a trip to the city. You two sure you don't want to go somewhere else?"
Breloom: "I-I want to, but needing to go underwater for that... J-just can't do it..."
S: "I want to as well... but submerging? Ugh! I can't handle it... I just can't!"
L: Blastoise: "But you swam to get here, right? And that was fine?"
Breloom: "Only barely... Just did it because I wouldn't get to see you otherwise."
S: "Exactly... that time we had no choice... and I don't think I could do it again... I'm too scared"
Lucario - "S-sorry to uhh, butt in...but unfortunately...you don't really have a choice here, you'll have go underwater eventually"

L: Floatzel: "Yeah, don't mean to scare you, but you can't just stay here forever."
Breloom: "I-I know, but... Ugh, I don't want to go back underwater!"
Blastoise: "Even if you just stay here for the whole trip, you'll have to dive again eventually, so you may as well try to get more used to it until then."
S: butterfree sighs heavily
Butterfree - "I said no!!! I can't!! Me and breloom can't go handle submerging again! We just can't do it uncle blastoise" butterfree's face gets more cute as she looks at blastoise pleadingly
L: Breloom: "Y-yeah, I really can't..."
Blastoise: "Hmm... Then what are we gonna do..."
Floatzel, to Blastoise: "I actually have an idea, if you and Lucario can follow me under for a sec..." He takes a breath and goes underwater.
S: "Huh? Hmm, what does floatzel have up his sleeve this time..." lucario takes a breath and goes underwater too, curious what floatzel is gonna suggest
butterfree watches what's going on, going back to the ledge
L: Blastoise dives to join them as well, with Breloom also looking down.
Blastoise: "So, what dblo you hblave in mind?"
Floatzel: "Admittedly, this is abl bit mean, but... They cablme hblere to see you, so whblat if you pretend tblo be giving up anbld leaving? That might conblvince them to go undbler."
S: "Hublh... I'll adblmit, thblat is a biblt menlan... howblever, thblat jublst miblght woblrk! I sblaw hblow mublch thbley loblve yblou aftbler all"
L: Blastoise: "I've got a goblod feeling about that toblo... Alright, I'll pretend Ibl turned down your idblea without saying what iblt was, then act like Ibl'm leaving."
Floatzel: "Hblopefully they're not goblnna be upset when thbley figure it out..."
S: "Me neblither... bublt alblright...leblts trbly it" lucario goes back up to the surface
L: Blastoise and Floatzel come up as well.
Blastoise: "So, Floatzel here suggested something I'd really rather not do... But, I'm out of ideas at this point. This really isn't working out, so..." He sighs. "Sorry, but I'm not gonna just stick around if all you'll be doing is staying in this air pocket the whole time."
Breloom: "W-wait, what? N-no, don't just leave!"
S: Butterfree - "H-hang on, don't leave us!! You can't do that!!"
L: Floatzel: "Hey, if he wants to leave, I'm not gonna be keeping him from doing that."
Breloom: "D-don't leave, no! That first dive is gonna have been for nothing!"
Blastoise: "Sorry guys, but it's just not working out." He takes a deep breath and dives, visibly swimming out the front door.
S: "No! Uncle blastoise come back!!!" butterfree starts to tear up
Lucario - "Sorry guys"
L: Floatzel: "Maybe you two might be able to make him reconsider...?"
Breloom looks down at the water fearfully. "...F-fine, I'll do it!!" He take a deep breath and dives straight in, tightly shutting his eyes.
S: Butterfree - "Breloom!!!!" she looks down at the water fearfully, but she doesn't dive under
Lucario - "Whoa..."
L: Breloom frantically swims outside after Blastoise.
Floatzel: "Wow, I kind of didn't think he'd do it..." He looks at Butterfree, wondering if she'll soon dive too.
S: Lucario - "Same here..." lucario looks at butterfree as well
but butterfree still doesn't dive under, she's still too scared...and shocked that her brother breloom actually submerged
L: Floatzel: "Well don't just leave him down there, he's probably really scared!"
S: "Yeah! Terrified more like!"
Butterfree - "Uhhh....uhhh....no! I can't! He'll come back!"
lucario takes a breath and dives under to check to see how breloom is doing and if he's managing to bring blastoise back
L: Breloom is still outside, but is quickly swimming back in without Blastoise. "Ibl-iblt hblas tblo ble boblth oblf ubls!" He quickly surfaces and repeats that.
Floatzel: "Well then you'd better get down there, Butterfree..."
S: lucario surfaces
Lucario - "Yep... that's the only way your gonna keep blastoise from swimming away"
Butterfree - "Ohh no!!!!" butterfree whimpers, unsure if she's gonna be able to dive, she's also very upset about this situation
L: Breloom: "Come on, come on! He's leaving!" He looks at Butterfree like he's about to cry.
S: butterfree is already crying, looking down at the water very fearfully
"I.......can't.....do it!!!!!"
Lucario - "Uh oh..."
L: Breloom: "P-please, Butterfree... D-don't make this have been for nothing..." Now he's crying, begging Butterfree to dive.
Floatzel does feel bad about putting the two through this, but doesn't say anything.
S: lucario feels bad too, but doesn't say anything either
Butterfree - "....This....this....UGH!!!!!!!" butterfree covers her eyes with her wings as she sobs, wiping away tears
L: Breloom: "C-come on... I... I-I..." He looks about ready to just break down at this point, holding onto the ledge and starting to sob.
Floatzel pets his head. "It's okay... I'll help you two get back to the station, and you can try again sometime."
S: lucario pets butterfree's head gently
Lucario - "Yeah..."
Butterfree - "B-b-but...I wanna see uncle blastoise!"
Lucario - "Well then if you want to then you'll have to dive to see him, it's not too late..."
Butterfree - ".....ok....fine! I'll dive..." she wipes away some more tears
L: Breloom calms down just a little when he hears that. "O-okay, come on! H-he said he'd wait for a little while!"
Floatzel: "There you go! Both of you together will definitely be able to do this!"
S: Lucario - "You've got this! Don't give up!"
Butterfree - "O-oh man..." she looks at breloom then at the water below, she gulps but tries to take a few breathes to calm herself down in anyway possible "Alright...l-l-lets....d-dive"
L: Floatzel holds out a hand to help Butterfree get into the water.
Breloom: "Hurry, hurry!"
S: "I'm going!" butterfree takes floatzel's hand and they go in the water on the surface, looking at breloom "Alright, this is it then... w-we better dive under together breloom..."
L: Breloom: "O-okay, on 3! 1...2...3!" Seemingly not knowing to do any deep breathing beforehand, Breloom forces himself to dive again after just one gasp.
S: Lucario - "Come on..."
butterfree then takes a sharp gasp and holds it in like a lifeline and finally dives under as well without anyway knowing of how to prepare either as soon as breloom said 3
L: Breloom quickly swims back outside to Blastoise, and Floatzel gets a breath to follow them out. Sure enough, Blastoise is waiting some distance away, watching Breloom return to him.
S: lucario gets a breath as well and follows
butterfree, even with her eyes tightly shut, she manages to follow breloom, hoping blastoise will return to them, her cheeks puffed up as well and a constant whimper escaping her as well
L: Blastoise: "Well... Certainly goblt you underwater eventublally, hbluh?"
Breloom: "Dbl-dobln't leblave, plbleasble!"
Blastoise: "Hbley, relax, I was neblver gonna leave. Just hblad to find a wably to convince yoblu to dive, and I did."
S: Butterfree - "WHBLAT?!?!?! Mmmm!" butterfree's face is already red, and she covers her mouth, she couldn't be there any longer and hurries back to the air pocket inside floatzel's house, gasping in heavily when she makes it
Lucario - "....Yblikes!"
L: Breloom: "Ybl-yoblu- MMM!" He quickly swims back in as well, going right back into the the air pocket. Blastoise and Floatzel follow him back in and up.
Blastoise: "Sorry about that, but I really needed to get you two okay with diving."
Floatzel: "Don't get mad at him, it was my idea."
S: butterfree glares at floatzel
Butterfree - "H-how dare you! Do you know how hard it was to stay down like that?! Ugh..."

L: Breloom: "Ugh, I can't believe you! Why did you put us through that!?"
Floatzel: "Yeah, sorry... But, you just have to be able to dive while you're down here, that's just all there is to it."
S: Butterfree - "Well I think it's safe to say me and breloom won't be diving again! I can't believe this!!"
L: Blastoise: "Well then how are you gonna get home at the end of the day? Heh, I don't think Floatzel's gonna want you two moving into this air pocket!"
Floatzel: "Yeah, just the one roommate is fine."
S: Lucario - "And that roommate is me"
Butterfree - "Uncle blastoise has a point...but ugh... you saw how badly I was stuggling!"
L: Floatzel: "I did, you REALLY weren't doing well out there... But that has to have been from how stressed out you were."
Blastoise: "Exactly! Can't save your air very well if your heart's racing the whole time!"
Breloom: "B-but how am I supposed to be calm when I can't breathe!?"
S: Butterfree - "Exactly! That's almost impossible! The thoughts of not being able to breathe freely scare me and breloom a lot!"
Lucario - "I totally understand how your feeling... it's scary I know, but again it's not as bad as you may think it is"
Butterfree - "Oh yeah? Hmmph! I don't believe that!"
L: Floatzel: "I mean, I'm kind of biased, but relaxing underwater always feels really nice to me."
Blastoise: "Same here, I practically have an easier time staying calm UNDER water than ABOVE it."
Breloom: "Well, good for you guys then..."
S: "Yeah, but that's not gonna happen between me and breloom, we can't stay calm no matter what we try..."
Lucario - "...and I thought I was scared of submerging... wait....hang on, I may have one last idea that jusssst might work, floatzel, blastoise...come down here" lucario takes a breath and dives down
L: Floatzel: "Alright, hang on." He holds his breath and joins Lucario.
Blastoise: "I don't think this'll be the same as last time, don't worry." He joins the others underwater.
S: Butterfree - "It better not be!" butterfree goes back to the ledge

L: Blastoise nods and surfaces.
Breloom: "We're not swimming after you again, you're not tricking us this time!"
Blastoise: "I know, just need to ask you something. What's your favorite Pokemon?"
S: Butterfree - "Huh? That's uhh a weird question..." butterfree looks at breloom "You think we should fall for this? It is a simple question..."
L: Breloom: "This doesn't really feel like a trick to me... Um..." He looks at Blastoise. "I really like heliolisks..."
Blastoise: "Is that the same for you, Butterfree?"
S: "No, I really like Sylveons, they are so cool... and cute...."
L: Breloom: "I guess those are okay..."
Blastoise: "Hmm... Hang on, give me a minute." He dives again to talk to the others. "Breloom likes hbleliolisks, but Butterfree likes sylblveons. I feel like we're goblnna hblave a rough time finblding both."
Floatzel: "Yeah, that might enbld up being an issue..."
S: Lucario - "Yblikes... ublmm... wblell me anbld floblatzebl cabln gblo loblok arblound thble ciblty foblr theblm, mablybe we wilbl geblt lublcky anbld finbld thblem"
L: Blastoise: "Alright, I'll just stblay hblere with them until yblou two get back."
Floatzel: "Yeah, we'll be bablck later. Hblopefully it won't jublst be us."
S: "Ybleah, we'll bble bablck soblon! Comble obln floatblzel we've goblt somble woblrk tblo do" lucario swims out of floatzel's house
L: Floatzel swims outside with them, while Blastoise surfaces in the air pocket again to hang out with Breloom and Butterfree.
S: butterfree and breloom don't know what's going on yet, but they'll find out soon
as lucario and floatzel swim into the city, they start looking around a heliolisk and a sylveon, and as lucario's face turns a bit red they eventually with some miracle find a heliolisk sitting on a bench, with their eyes closed as they seem to be meditating, they look so calm you can't even tell they are holding their breath
L: Floatzel: "Perfect... I donbl't really want to interblrupt them, but they loblok like they'll be a whblile..."
S: "Mabln iblve nblever sbleen a non wblater tblype loblok so relaxebld doblwn hblere, lblemme jublst..." lucario swims down to the bench and carefully sits next to the heliolisk, which of course doesn't notice lucario yet
L: Floatzel sits on the opposite side Lucario is, watching the heliolisk hold their breath.
S: lucario watches as well, noticing the heliolisk's face is just a tiny bit red, but they are content to stay in place
L: Floatzel almost pokes the heliolisk to get their attention, but decides against it, letting them continue for now.
S: lucario also thought of poking them but also decides against it, just continuing to watch them as a few bubbles escaping his mouth
L: Eventually, Floatzel starts getting a little bored waiting, and decides that if the heliolisk doesn't notice the two of them soon, he'll get their attention himself.
S: lucario is feeling the same way, but the heliolisk still doesn't notice them, very content to stay in place, that's when lucario looks over at floatzel and nods to him
L: Floatzel nods back. "...Hblello?" He hopes that didn't end up scaring the heliolisk.
S: the heliolisk's eyes slowly open, they look to their left and right and see floatzel and lucario, they yelp out bubbles and hop off the bench in fear

L: Floatzel: "Sorry, didn't reablly know hblow else to get yoblur attention, and it didbln't seem like you'd ble done anytime soon."

L: Floatzel: "So... I'm Floatzel, hble's Lucario, and we need yblour hblelp with something that HBLAS to hblave a hbleliolisk."

L: Floatzel: "This is gonna soblund a little weird, but we nebled you to hblelp convince someone to gblo underwater. They're too scarbled to do it obln their own, but they reablly like hbleliolisks."

L: Floatzel: "Perfect! Lead the wably, then!" He hops off the bench, ready to swim with the heliolisk.
S: Heliolisk - "Alriblght, folblow mble thblen!" Heliolisk swims off in a direction towards the restaurant and lucario follows, his whole face red at this point
L: "Do you twblo want to stop foblr some air real quick? Ibl could kinda use soblme myself, too."
S: "I'm fiblne, bublt I gbluess I cblolud ublse a fblresh breblath"
Lucario - "Y-ybleah, I nebled aiblr..." constant bubbles escape from lucario
L: "Yeah, let's go refblill real quick." Floatzel leads the two to a nearby bubble fountain, where he breathes in one bubble for himself and passes a couple to the others.
S: Heliolisk and lucario inhale their bubbles, their faces returning to normal as they nod and Heliolisk swims off towards the restaurant with lucario and floatzel following, pretty soon they reach the restaurant

L: "The water in thblese is almost always sablfe to drink, as well. Bublt anyway, let's go fiblnd that sylveon..." Floatzel heads into the restaurant.
S: Lucario - "Wablit...whblat??" lucario heads into the restaurant too, while heliolisk does the same, giggling out a few bubbles on what lucario said
L: "Not really sure hblow it works..." Inside the restaurant is quite an assortment of Pokemon, most of then water breathers as usual. Among them though, is a sylveon eating by themselves.
Floatzel: "There they are!"
S: "Peblrfect! Leblts gblo ovbler to thblem!"
Heliolisk - "Riblght" they all head over to the sylveon
L: The sylveon looks at the group as they approach, blushing a little from a need to breathe. "Ublmm... Cabln Ibl hblelp yoblu gublys?"
Floatzel: "Yeah, actually. We're trblying to convince a couple peblople to dive, and one sablid their favorite Pokemon wabls sylveon."
S: Lucario - "Ybleah, yblou thblink yblou coblud hblelp ubls oublt? Soblrry iblf thibls ibls weiblrd to yblou..."
Heliolisk waves at the sylveon with a smile
L: Sylveon waves back, recognizing Heliolisk. "Albrigblht, sublre. Jublst leblt mble fiblnisblh hblere fiblrst."
Floatzel: "Of course!"
S: Heliolisk - "Yblep!"
Lucario - "Alblso, noblt to alblarm yblou but yblour fablce is a blit rbled"
L: Sylveon: "Ibl knblow, I'lbl ble fiblne."
Floatzel: "Lucario isn't a fabln of seeing people pushbling themselves, so hblere." He blows out a big bubble and passes it to Sylveon, who inhales it, their blush fading.

after a few minutes...
L: Sylveon finishes his meal and looks over at the group. "Alblrigblht, Ibl'm reblady tblo geblt gobling."
Floatzel: "Okay, Lucario and I'll leblad the way."

so lucario and floatzel swim out of the restaurant with sylveon and Heliolisk, swimming back to floatzel's house, managing to get back there pretty quickly and uneventfully
L: Blastoise, Breloom, and Butterfree are all still there in the air pocket next to the entrance.
Floatzel swims into the air pocket. "We're back! And we've got a couple folks you're gonna like to see!"
Breloom: "Um... Okay? Who do you mean?"
S: lucario swims into the air pocket too
"Yep! You'll love them!"
Butterfree - "Uhhh...ok? I don't think about this..."
Lucario - "Come on up guys!"
L: Sylveon swims up into the air pocket. "Hi. Apparently one of you really likes me?"
Breloom: "Woah! Yeah, Butterfree does!"
S: butterfree's mouth instantly drops open, her face in shock
Butterfree - "Oh....my....goodness!!! It's a sylveon!!!!"
Soon heliolisk swims up into the air pocket too
Heliolisk - "Why hello there!"
L: Breloom: "Woah, no way! I didn't think there'd be an electric type in the city!" He hugs Heliolisk.
Blastoise laughs. "There's Pokemon of pretty much every kind down here!"
Sylveon: "Sure seems that way, huh?"
S: butterfree goes over and hugs sylveon while heliolisk hugs breloom back with a happy smile
lucario smiles and laughs a bit, watching as they interact
Butterfree - "What are they doing here??"
L: Sylveon hugs Butterfree back. "So, we were told that you two needed some convincing to go underwater, and that Heliolisk and I might be the right Pokemon for that job."
Floatzel: "Yep! If anyone can make this happen, it'll be you and Heliolisk."
Blastoise: "Even I could barely do it, and I'm their uncle!"
S: "What??? Oh dear... I didn't see this coming..."
Lucario - "I got a good feeling about this! I just know this will work!"
L: Breloom sighs. "I should've known..."
Floatzel: "Relax, you've got even more friends here than before, now!"
Sylveon: "I'm mainly here for Butterfree apparently, but I'll do my best to help you too."
S: Heliolisk - "Same here, I'm mostly here for breloom, but I'll try as well"
Butterfree - "Oh boy..." butterfree is visibly nervous
Lucario - "You've got this!"
L: Breloom: "I-I still really don't want to..."
Blastoise: "You know, it's pretty crowded in here at this point... There's a lot more room underwater!"
S: Butterfree - "Grrrr.... I don't want to either!"
Heliolisk goes over and places a reassuring hand on breloom
Heliolisk - "You can do this breloom... I have a lot of faith in you..."
L: Breloom: "Y-you're at least really nice... W-we just met, and you're already trying to help..."
Sylveon, to Butterfree: "I know what it's like to be afraid of diving... When I was an eevee, it took a lot to get me into water, just like it is with you."
S: Butterfree - "R-really?? You were scared too? Wow... well, if you don't mind me asking, what got you comfortable?"
Heliolisk to breloom - "I get it you must be terrified to go diving, and I understand... for a bit I too was pretty nervous at first, but whenever I got scared underwater I would meditate, trying my hardest not to think about anything"
Lucario - "We saw Heliolisk meditating on a bench in the city, and he was very calm"
L: Sylveon: "One day, I was at the beach, and a finizen convinced me to swim with them. I ended up having so much fun with them that now, whenever I get scared about water, I just think back to that time and I calm right down!"
Floatzel: "I've met some finizens in the past, and yeah, that definitely makes sense."
S: Lucario - "Whoa, finizens?? Shut up...I'm jealous...I've always wanted to meet them, I heard how adorable they are"
Butterfree - "Wow...so that finizen was about to convince you to swim and dive, impressive... but, how are you gonna convince me? I'm terrified"
Heliolisk meanwhile keeps his hand on breloom, hoping to help calm him down
L: Breloom does seem to be at least a little bit calmer than before, still somewhat fearfully looking down at the water...
Sylveon: "Well, I'm no finizen, but let me tell you: If you go underwater with me, I'll do everything I can to make sure you have a great time with it!"
Blastoise: "Definitely sounds good to me."
S: Lucario - "Same here"
Heliolisk - "Same goes for you breloom"
butterfree is almost just a tiny bit more calm with her favorite pokemon right here
Butterfree - "....and exactly...how am I gonna have "great time" going underwater? I can't breathe down there...it's stressful not fun!"
L: Floatzel: "I can give you guys bubbles whenever you need to breathe, don't worry!"
Blastoise: "I'm able to do that too, so there'll be plenty of air!"
Breloom: "I guess being able to breathe whenever I want would help..."
S: Heliolisk - "Yep, having air whenever you want will definitely help!"
Butterfree - "Well yeah.... but I still don't know... I don't how I could possibly have fun underwater...I just don't see it at all..."
L: Sylveon: "Well, whatever sort of stuff you like doing, you could try out doing it underwater. Floatzel, what kind of stuff have you got here?"
Floatzel: "Video games, movies, all sorts of things."
S: "Did you say video games? May seem weird but I love to play video games, especially with my brother, he's just too scared to admit that his own sister is better then him at it!"
Lucario - "Whoa!! Hehehe savage!"
Heliolisk - "That sounds like a challenge!"
L: Breloom's demeanor immediately changes. "No you're not! I could kick your butt at any game, underwater or not!"
Sylveon: "That's the spirit!"
Floatzel: "Ha, I wish I'd known about this earlier!"
Blastoise: "Well, how about we go down and get you two set up?"
S: Butterfree - "Ha! Don't make me laugh Breloom, your just too scared to admit that I'm way better then you at them! You couldn't even beat me even if we were underwater!" butterfree looks at sylveon "I gotta show you guys my skills! Ugh..." she looks down at the water fearfully
Lucario - "Come on! You guys can't turn down a video game challenge! Especially the battle of siblings!"
Heliolisk - "Exactly!"
L: Breloom: "A-as much as I still don't wanna do this... I-I really have to now!" Nervously, he slowly climbs into the water, holding Heliolisk's hand.
Floatzel: "There you go... Just one left now." He looks at Butterfree.
Sylveon: "Come on Butterfree, are you gonna just let your brother show you up?"
S: Butterfree - "No way!! I can't let that happen!! And as much as I don't wanna do this, I guess I have to now!" very slowly and nervously butterfree climbs into the water too, holding sylveon's paw
Heliolisk - "There you go breloom! Show butterfree what's up! Haha!"
Lucario - "You got it..."
L: Breloom happens to start taking deep breaths specifically to keep calm, unaware it'll help him stay under longer.
Sylveon smiles at Butterfree. "It's gonna be okay, everyone's right here."
Blastoise: "You're both gonna have a great time, don't worry!"
S: "Yeah! I promise!"
Butterfree - "Ok..." butterfree also starts to take some deep breathes to try and keep calm, just like breloom unaware it'll help her stay down under longer
Heliolisk - "You can do this breloom...I know you can!"
L: Floatzel: "Alright... 3, 2, 1..." He and Blastoise each take a breath and go under, hoping Breloom and Butterfree will come with them.
Breloom holds his breath and hugs Heliolisk, tighting shutting his eyes.
Sylveon starts slowly going down, making sure Butterfree has a chance to hold her breath.
S: lucario also takes a breath and goes under too
Heliolisk hugs breloom back, taking a breath himself and slowly going underwater with breloom
however, poor butterfree was so scared when the water was just about to reach her face that she backs out before it could submerge her!
L: Sylveon quickly surfaces again, and everyone else soon notices they and Butterfree aren't underwater, coming back up.
Sylveon: "Hey, come on, you were so close!"
S: Butterfree - "I-i can't do it! Ugh why do I have to be so scared!"
lucario frowns at that, then has one last idea when breloom surfaces again, whispering to him to talk a bit of smack to butterfree for being a chicken
Heliolisk - "Aww poor butterfree..."
L: Breloom nods after Lucario's whisper, and turns to Butterfree. "Hey, I went under and you didn't! Are you too afraid I'll beat you at those games to go under?"
Blastoise: "Haha, seems to me like she is!"
S: Lucario - "Yeah!"
Butterfree - "What?? No! I'm not scared you'll beat me! I don't know what your talking about! Hmmph!"
L: Breloom: "Then why didn't you go underwater with me, huh?"
Floatzel, having realized what's happening: "It does seem like you're worried being underwater will give him some kind of advantage..."
Sylveon: "Well, we're gonna be able to prove whether that's the case soon, right?"
S: "Advantage?? No! Why would I be worried about that??"
Lucario - "Sounds to me like she's just being a big chicken and is scared to face her own brother! Breloom submerged and you didn't! That's proof your scared!"
Butterfree - "A chicken??? What?!?"
lucario winks at breloom
L: Breloom: "Yeah, you're a chicken! I'm only a year older than you and I'm way braver than you!"
Blastoise: "Ooh, bringing age into it... You gonna just take that, Butterfree?"
S: Lucario - "Ooooooh!!!!! Nice one breloom!"
Heliolisk - "Wow! Ha!"
Butterfree - "Hey! You are NOT braver then me! That's not true at all!"
L: Breloom: "Prove it then! Go underwater next time I do!"
Floatzel: "I doubt he's gonna accept anything else, Butterfree, you're gonna have to do it."
Sylveon: "And you can, I know it!"
S: Heliolisk - "Hey even I think you can! You've got this butterfree!"
Lucario - "Yeah!"
Butterfree - "Grrr, I can't let my brother one up me! Fine! I'll go underwater when you do! And then I'll see the look on your face when I do submerge!"
L: Heliolisk - "Hey even I think you can! You've got this butterfree!"
Lucario - "Yeah!"
Butterfree - "Grrr, I can't let my brother one up me! Fine! I'll go underwater when you do! And then I'll see the look on your face when I do submerge!"
L: Blastoise: "There you go! Now, let's try that countdown again..."
Floatzel: Yep! 3, 2, 1..." Once again, he and Blastoise go under, Breloom holding his breath and waiting for Heliolisk to go under, and Sylveon taking it a bit slow so Butterfree has a chance to get a breath.
S: lucario soon goes back under, holding his breath as well
Soon heliolisk slowly goes back underwater with breloom, getting and holding a breath before he does
butterfree hugs sylveon tightly, whimpering as she takes a deep breath and holds it, squeezing her eyes shut as she's determined to submerge this time
L: Sylveon goes underwater with Butterfree, smiling as they'd finally managed it.
Floatzel: "Finally, we ALL weblnt underwater together!"
Blastoise: "I'm so problud of you two!"
S: butterfree's whimpers are now a bit louder as they submerged, her eyes still shut tight and continuing to hug sylveon, she shakes her head very uncomfortable down here
Lucario - "Wblell, webl mably be unblder, bublt I thblink thblese tblwo ablre stblill prblretty stblressed oblut..." lucario watches butterfree struggle, looking at breloom who also seems to be still scared a bit
L: Sylveon: "Hblow ablout wble geblt abl gablme seblt ublp? Thblat'lbl prblobably hblelp thblem cablm doblwn."
Breloom nervously nods, not wanting to talk underwater.
Floatzel: "Yep, got all thblat stuff this way!" He starts leading the group through his home.
S: butterfree's whimpers get louder as she gets leaded out from the air pocket, constant bubbles escaping her as well, even tho there's the promise of playing video games, she isn't sure if it's worth it
lucario looks behind and notices how nervous butterfree is, he frowns at the sight
Heliolisk does everything in his power to keep breloom calm, rubbing his back a bit
L: Breloom tightly shuts his eyes, trailing bubbles like Butterfree is.
Sylveon hugs Butterfree. "Itbl's goblnna ble okblay, Flbloatblzel anbld Blastbloisble cabln giblve yoblu abls mublch aiblr abls yoblu wablnt."
S: Butterfree - "BLBLBLBLBL!!!!!!" she continues to whimper and whine as her face is fully red, hugging sylveon tight
Lucario - "Yblikes...."
Heliolisk smiles at breloom
L: Hearing Butterfree's distress makes Breloom feel worse, and he's already blushing as well.
Blastoise swims to Butterfree, petting her head. "Just hblang in there, you cabln get through this..."
S: the pets do at least help butterfree a tiny bit but she's still very distressed
Lucario - "Iblts ok..."
L: Floatzel: "Hblere, let me prove itbl'll be fine." He blows out a big bubble and offers it to Butterfree. Blastoise does the same with Breloom so they don't get jealous.
S: butterfree's eyes are closed so she doesn't see the bubble, she can't even open them even if she wanted to, she doesn't have like goggles on or anything
L: Breloom's got his eyes closed too, also lacking goggles.
Sylveon: "Crblap, hblow dibld wble foblrgeblt tblo geblt thblem goblgglbles?"
Floatzel: "I've got some spablres I can go get, wble can probably adjust thblem to fit."
Blastoise: "That's definitely going tblo be a big hblelp with this."
S: Lucario - "Ybleah...shbloot..."
butterfree continues to whimper and whine, still haven't not see the bubble in front of her
Heliolisk - "Oblh boy..."
L: Floatzel: "Okay, bring thblem back to that aiblr pocket, I'll go geblt some goggles." He swims off, and Sylveon and Blastoise start heading back to the air pocket at the entrace.
Breloom whimpers, his face fully red now.
S: butterfree whimpers too and her face is fully red, but they managed to make it to the air pocket safely, butterfree gasping in air heavily
L: Breloom gasps as well, panting some. "W-we're gonna be getting goggles?"
Blastoise: "Yeah, it's a lot harder to have fun underwater if you can't see anything the whole time."
Just a few seconds later, Floatzel returns with several pairs of goggles. "Don't know what you two like, so I just grabbed everything and you can choose."
S: Butterfree - "Goggles? I guess that would help me... so thanks" butterfree looks at the goggles and the color of them, trying to see if she can find one she likes
Lucario - "Yep I got a pair of my own, and it helps me out a lot"
L: Breloom looks through the options, and takes a red pair, smiling a little. "This is my favorite color..."
Blastoise: "If either of you need help getting them on, just let one of us know."
Sylveon: "Yeah, I don't mind helping."
S: as butterfree looks through them, she finds a dark pink pair and takes them
Butterfree - "And this one is my favorite color..."
Lucario - "Good choices!"
L: Breloom has some trouble getting his goggles past the mushroom-like cap on his head, but does manage it on his own, and Blastoise helps him adjust them so they fit snugly after that.
S: butterfree meanwhile tries to get her goggles on, but struggles just as much as breloom, seemingly not able to do it on her own
Butterfree - "I need some help!!"
L: Sylveon: "Okay, here." He takes the goggles and puts them onto Butterfree, making sure they're not too tight. "How's that?"
S: butterfree blinks a few times and looks around, smiling a bit
"They feel good, but do I look good? Heh..."
Lucario - "You look great in them butterfree!"
Heliolisk - "Yeah!"
L: Floatzel: "Totally, yeah! And same with you, Breloom!"
Breloom: "Thanks!"
Blastoise: "Guess we're all finally ready now, huh?"
S: butterfree blushes a bit and smiles a bit more
Butterfree - "Yeah...I guess so..."
Lucario - "Let's try this thing again! 3rd time is the charm!"
L: Breloom: "I'm feeling better this time, too..."
Floatzel does the countdown one more time, then everyone takes a breath and goes underwater.
S: butterfree stays close to sylveon again as she holds her breath again before diving, she immediately shuts her eyes again, but remembering she had goggles on she opens them slowly after a while, and once she actually gets to see properly underwater, she smiles a little
Heliolisk stays close to breloom so he doesn't get scared
L: Breloom's got his eyes closed at first too, but smiles after he slowly opens them, looking around.
Blastoise: "Told you two thblat'd hblelp!"
Floatzel: "Alright, it's finally tiblme to hblave some fun!"
Sylveon: "Reblmembler tblo leblt ubls knblow whblen yoblu nebled abl bublble tblo brbleatblhe!"
S: Lucario - "Yblep!"
butterfree nods her head, nit comfortable talking yet
Heliolisk - "Alblright!"
L: Breloom nods as well, still not wanting to try talking underwater.
Floatzel starts leading the group through his house again, to where he keeps his video game stuff.
S: butterfree's cheeks puff up with air as she tries to keep calm, a little whimper being audible every now and again
lucario seems pretty proud on how well they are both doing so far
L: Breloom is doing better than before, though is still pretty nervous.
Still, everyone gets to Floatzel's game room, which has another air pocket in it.
Floatzel: "Ah, forgot about thblat air pocket. I donbl't really come in hblere all that often."
S: Lucario - "Thblats perblfect!!"
butterfree sighs out some bubbles relief but quickly covers her mouth as she wasted a bit of her air
Heliolisk - "That's goobld to knblow!"
L: Breloom smiles up at the air pocket, relieved.
Floatzel: "Alright, I've goblt a good variety oblf games and systems, sblo you two go ahblead and take your piblck."
Sylveon looks around the room. "Mabln, Ibl'm abl biblg fabln oblf abl loblt oblf thblese!"
Blastoise: "Not big on vidbleo games myself..."
S: Lucario - "Whbloa, vibldeo gambles thblat wblork undblerwater??? Coblol!!!"
butterfree nods and starts to look through the games with breloom, trying to search for something fun to play...and pretty soon both butterfree and breloom pick up a certain game: Super Smash Bros Ulttmate
L: Breloom nods to Butterfree, and starts getting the game ready, blushing some from a need to breathe.
Floatzel smiles at the fact that Butterfree and Breloom seem to gradually be doing better underwater.
S: butterfree blushes too from the need for air and starts to get nervous too
lucario smiles and wags his tail, so happy that breloom and butterfree are finally getting better with submerging
L: Finishing setting up the game, Breloom hands Butterfree one of the controllers before heading up to catch his breath in the air pocket.
S: butterfree goes up as well to breathe from the air pocket, looking at breloom with a smirk on her face
Butterfree - "You ready to lose to your sister??? Huh?!"
L: Breloom: "Yeah, like that's gonna happen! Not even the water's gonna stop me from winning!"
S: "Oh sure, I'm gonna be victorious! You'll see! Hahaha!" butterfree takes some breathes to relax herself and prepare for the dive again
L: Breloom: "Not a chance, just you watch me!" He does some deep breathing as well.
S: "Hmmph!" eventually after taking some more deep breathes, butterfree holds her breath and hesitating a bit but manages to dive back underwater all on her own
L: Breloom almost doesn't hesitate as he holds his breath and returns underwater, sitting down and starting up the game.
S: butterfree sits down next to breloom, a determined look on her face as they each select a character and start the game
lucario and Heliolisk sit down as well to watch them, Heliolisk right by breloom's side in case he gets scared
L: Blastoise, Floatzel and Sylveon watch the two play as well, Sylveon also sitting next to Butterfree for the same reason as Heliolisk with Breloom.
S: as the two play, butterfree is destorying breloom, giggling out bubbles as she gets the last hit on breloom before winning the game entirely
"Gobltcha!!!!!" butterfree laughs a bit more, seemingly uncaring of her wasted air for the moment
L: Breloom: "Mmrgh..." He grumbles a little at having lost so thoroughly, but he'd definitely still had fun with that round.
Sylveon: "Niblce onble, Bubltteblrfrblee!"
Floatzel: "Do you two wablnt air before the next roblund?"
S: butterfree smiles at the thought of getting air, but she seemed pretty fine so she shakes her head no, wanting to continue on
Lucario - "Wblow...shbles deblterminded"
L: Breloom seems fine as well, also shaking his head and just getting ready for the next round.
Blastoise: "Don't push yourselves toblo far, now."
S: butterfree gives a thumbs up, then gets ready for the next round...once again destroying breloom, she does a happy flip in the water as she celebrates two in a row
Butterfree - "Ybles!!!"
Lucario- "Whobla!"
L: Breloom: "Oblh, coblme obln!" He's starting to get a bit frustrated by now, blushing some as well.
Floatzel: "It's alright, you'll geblt one at some poblint."
S: Butterfree - "No hble woblnt!" butterfree's face is almost fully red at this point
lucario and Heliolisk's faces are also starting to grow red
L: Sylveon is blushing some as well. "Yoblu twblo shbloulbld prblobably brbleatblhe noblw."
Breloom shakes his head, seemingly wanting to win before he goes for a breath.
Floatzel and Blastoise are both still fine at this point, watching everyone to make sure they're all doing okay.
S: lucario continues to watch too, surprised by breloom's choice of staying
butterfree also shakes her head no, wanting to continue to show her brother what's up, starting up a third round and litteraly 3 minutes later beats breloom AGAIN!
Butterfree - "Hehble! Giblve ublp alblready!"
L: Breloom: "Nblo! Ibl'm noblt stbloppbling unbltil Ibl wibln onble!" His face is fully red now.
Blastoise: "Alright, but be cablreful, I can tell yoblu need air..."
S: butterfree's face is fully red too, not even noticing of her lack of air as she's too caught up in winning
Lucario - "Thbley ablre reblally pusblhing iblt..."
Soon a 4th round commences and yet again butterfree wins, breloom still not even coming close to beating his sister
Heliolisk - "Geeblz!"
L: Breloom: "Anblothbler onble, coblme obln!"
Floatzel: "They aren't gonna stblop, everyone just be reabldy to hblelp once they really nebled air."
Sylveon: "Thbley'vble reblallbly tublrnebld arblounbld frblom bebling afblraibld..."
S: Lucario - "Ybleah...I'm sublrpried..."
butterfree's face is slowly turning blue and that's when she starts to complain about her lungs being low, she looks at the air pocket above them worringly, but then just focuses on the next match, winning the next one again!!
Butterfree - "Yblou...ainblt gonblna...beblat me!" her voice is a bit strained from her long breath hold
L: Breloom's face is blue too. "Ybl-yebls...Ibl...Wibll!" He briefly covers his mouth before starting up the next match.
Sylveon is straining some now, while Blastoise and Floatzel are both just starting to blush.
S: both lucario and Heliolisk start straining as well, lucario covering his mouth
butterfree whines and covers her mouth too, but still managing to get the next match in, however this time because on how strained she is, she couldn't focus on the game... and breloom wins this time
"Nobloo!!!!! Mmmm!!!" butterfree launches herself up to the air pocket above them, getting there and gasping for air very heavily
L: Breloom: "Hblahbla, Ibl dibld iblt! MMM!" He covers his mouth with both hands, dropping the controller and bolting for the air pocket. Blastoise, Floatzel, and Sylveon all surface as well.
Blastoise: "Good work, Breloom!"
Floatzel: "I knew you could do it!"
S: butterfree dropped her controller too
lucario and Heliolisk surface in the air pocket as well, gasping a bit
Lucario - "Well done!"
Heliolisk - "Good job breloom!"
Butterfree - "Hah....hah...no fair! I was too focused on my air supply to win the game! That's not skill that's luck!"
L: Breloom is panting, but still manages to talk. "H-hey, I was running out too, but I could focus anyway! Th-that was all skill!"
Sylveon: "He's definitely got a point, he was in about the same state you were."
S: "Dang it!!!" butterfree rolls her eyes and shakes her head "You got me this time, but your not gonna get me again anymore!"

Lucario - "I'm so glad you guys are doing so well with being submerged! I'm so proud of you guys!"
L: Breloom: "Yeah, I think I'd actually be okay with swimming underwater on my own now!"
Floatzel: "That's great! Figured you two would have a lot of fun!"
S: Butterfree - "Me too! Well, if I had my brother with me of course...I rather have someone with me then being alone, heh" butterfree wraps her tiny arm around breloom, smiling
L: Breloom: "...Y-yeah, having you with me would still help." He smiles and hugs her.
Sylveon: "But hey, at least you two are okay with going under at all now!"
S: butterfree smiles and hugs breloom back
"Yeah, it's not as bad as I thought, but I'm still scared here and there... hopefully uncle blastoise will help us improve!"
Lucario - "That'll be pretty nice!"
Butterfree - "And thanks again sylveon for your help, it was so awesome meeting you!"
L: Sylveon: "No problem, Butterfree!"
Blastoise: "Yep, I'll keep helping you guys to get more comfortable with water."
Floatzel: "And you can keep those goggles as well, I've got plenty."
Breloom: "Oh, nice, thanks!"
S: "Cool thank you!"
Lucario - "Well, it's getting pretty late" lucario sees the time, it's 8:30pm now
Heliolisk - "Shoot! I wasn't paying attention! I gotta get going!"
L: Sylveon: "Ah, same here. It was nice hanging out with you all!"
Floatzel: "Same here!"
Breloom: "Aw, alright... Bye Heliolisk, bye Sylveon."
S: Butterfree - "Aww don't leave..." butterfree hugs sylveon tightly "What if I don't see you again!"
Lucario - "I'm sure you'll see them around again!"
Heliolisk - "For sure! I'll make sure to stick around the same areas so maybe we can see each other again!"
L: Sylveon: "Yeah, I live around here, so you'll probably see me again next time you come by!"
Blastoise: "And I'll make sure to ask them to drop by next time you come visit me!"
Breloom: "I guess that'll work..." He hugs Heliolisk.
S: Butterfree - "Yeah..." butterfree hugs sylveon one last time
Heliolisk smiles and blushes as he hugs breloom back
Heliolisk - "Well, I'll catch you guys later! Glad I could help you guys out!" he high fives breloom before taking a deep breath and diving underwater, swimming out of floatzel's house
L: Sylveon hugs Butterfree back. "See you again sometime!" He also deeply gasps and dives, following Heliolisk out.
Breloom sighs as he watches the two leave.
S: butterfree sighs too, frowning
Lucario - "Hey now, I'll be ok...I promise you'll see them again soon!"
Butterfree - "Alright..." she looks at blastoise, hugging him instead "I think I'm ready to go to your home now uncle blastoise"
L: Breloom: "Yeah, same here!"
Blastoise: "There you go, I knew you'd want to eventually! Just hold onto my shell, and I'll get you two there in no time!"
S: "Ok, thanks uncle blastoise" butterfree flies up a bit and holds onto blastoise's shell, getting herself ready for the dive ahead
Lucario - "Well, it was awesome meeting you guys! This had been one of the best days of my life!"
L: Breloom holds Blastoise's shell as instructed. "Yeah, this was one of my best too! Thanks for helping me so much!"
Floatzel: "You're welcome! I had fun with you guys too!"
S: "I had fun too admittingly! I'm glad we could get you two comfortable with diving and all that!"
Butterfree - "Hehehe! Yeah thanks again for all your help!"
L: Blastoise: "Yep, thanks for making this visit fun for them after all! Alright, Breloom, Butterfree, get ready with some deep breathing!"
Breloom nods and starts taking deep breaths, though isn't entirely sure why he's supposed to.
S: "Huh?" butterfree is confused on why she has to do it, but shrugs eventually starts taking some deep breathes as well, a little nervous deep down inside her still
L: Blastoise: "Oh, yeah, gotta explain. Taking deep breaths like that will let you hold your breath longer!"
Breloom: "Oh, okay! That's gonna help!" He's still a bit nervous too, but notably less than when he'd first come here.
Floatzel: "I bet you two are gonna get pretty good at holding your breath eventually!"
S: Lucario - "Yeah, and I even sense you two are gonna be competing in a breath holding contest soon too! That'll be great to test which sibling really is the best ;)"
Butterfree - "Ha! And I know I'll beat breloom in a flash" while butterfree is nervous it's definitely less then before
L: Breloom: "No way you're beating me at that, at least! I'm gonna make sure I can stay under longer than a water type!"
Blastoise: "That's the spirit! I'll help you two practice as much as you want!"
S: "Get outta here breloom, in your dreans... I'm gonna stay under longer then even uncle blastoise! And I already know he's really good at this stuff! Haha!!"
lucario giggles
L: Blastoise laughs. "We'll be seeing about that... You two ready?"
Breloom: "I think so... Bye Floatzel, bye Lucario!"
Floatzel: "See you again sometime!"
S: Butterfree - "Yeah, I guess... Bye bye floatzel and Lucario!"
Lucario - "Bye you guys! Stay safe out there ok?" lucario waves goodbye
L: Breloom: "Yep, we'll be careful!"
Blastoise: "I'll keep them safe, don't worry! Alright, one more deep breath!" He and Breloom both take deep breaths and hold them as he starts going under.
S: butterfree nods and gets a last deep breath before the trio eventually submerge completely underwater
lucario smiles as he watches them leave
L: Blastoise swims outside with Breloom and Butterfree.
Floatzel waves to them, then looks at Lucario. "Guess it's just us again."
S: lucario looks at floatzel and nods
"Yep, guess it is...and I'm exhausted...both my lungs and my body are tired! Today's been such a long day..."
L: "Same here, I'm beat... You want to just head to bed? It's in another air pocket, so don't worry about needing to sleep underwater."
S: "Oh phew, that's a relief... yeah that'll be nice" lucario's stomach growls again and he blushes
"But first...maybe I should get something to eat first, heh"
L: "Ah, yeah, we ought to have dinner first. I'll make something for both of us, and we can just eat in here if you're still not confident about eating underwater."
S: "Yeah I don't really wanna try eating underwater yet... my lungs are already tired as it is...so eating here would be fine"
L: "Alright, I'm fine with that too. You can just relax a while if you want, I can take care of this on my own."
S: "Sure, thanks floatzel" lucario lays back and relaxes while floatzel goes to make dinner
L: About 10 minutes later, Floatzel returns with two plates of food, one of which he hands to Lucario. "Hope you like it, I don't really know what you prefer."
S: "Mmm this looks good, thanks!" lucario takes the plate and digs into the food, he smiles and wags his tail
"This is delicious!! Your a pretty good cook for a water type, heh"
L: "Thanks! Takes some practice to learn to cook underwater, but it's easier than you might think." Floatzel starts eating as well.
S: "Really? That's cool, maybe you can teach me sometime" lucario continues to eat his food, happy as he can be...he already finishes it within 5 minutes, patting his full belly
L: Floatzel is done at about the same time, letting out a contented sigh. "Doing these dishes can wait for tomorrow..."
S: lucario let's out a relaxed sigh as well, smiling a bit more
"I'm definitely ready for sleep... but I'm too tired to swim for the bedroom..."
L: "No worries, I can swim you there, just hold onto me." Floatzel gets into the water.
S: "Thanks floatzel, I appreciate that" lucario gets in the water too, holding onto floatzel
L: "Don't worry about doing much deep breathing, it's not far." Floatzel gets a deep breath and starts going under.
S: lucario nods and gets a deep breath too before they submerge
L: Floatzel heads for the bedroom, which takes about 20 seconds, and he surfaces with Lucario in another air pocket. This one is bigger than the entrance one, and has a bed that'll fit Floatzel and Lucario.
S: lucario lightly gasps in the pocket, smiling at the bed and immediately going over to lay down in it, putting his goggles away on a nearby nightstand, leaving some room for floatzel to join him
L: Floatzel lays down on the bed next to Lucario. "We're lucky there's so much room on this... Before I met you, I was actually thinking about switching it out for a smaller one. Good thing I didn't, huh?"
S: "I know right? This is perfect! Plus I really hate sleeping alone at night, I always get nightmares everytime that happens..."
L: "Well, I'll be right here with you, so you won't have to worry." Floatzel hugs Lucario.
S: "Thanks floatzel...this has truly been an experience I'll never forget, I'm so happy I met you" lucario sighs softly and hugs floatzel back, yawning as well
L: "Same here, I've had a really fun time with you! Tomorrow we should figure out what to do with that money we won earlier..."
S: "Ah right, totally! But until then..." he yawns again and closes his eyes, settling under the blankets of the bed "...I'm going to sleep... goodnight floatzel!"
L: "Me too... Goodnight, Lucario." Floatzel gets under the blankets as well, closing his eyes.
S: Soon our two friends fall peacefully asleep, lucario smiling the whole time they sleep...
