Sean P. Piche (Dragoneer) was fighting some sort of lung infection. Most likely lung cancer. It finally took him out for good, and just after the first major surgery and things were looking up once more.

Dragoneer; the owner of FurAffinity. The site I got my official start in the furry Fandom. I'm not sure if he was a founder or involved in building the site, but he is the closest I know to Furry royalty.

FA was one of the first places where I had a furry presence.

Dragoneer did a great service to the fandom by operating that site.

I was sad to learn of his passing too. I didn't know him personally or even on a Furry friend level. But like OP said, pretty much Furry royalty worthy of respect and recognition, regardless. Kinda like one of those mythical folks from antiquity you put oh a pedestal because they were an Originator. Dragoneer most certainly was! ❤️❤️❤️
