I had the idea two or three weeks ago. I thought it was funny and really didn't intend to put this much effort into it. (I was supposed to just make a handful of b/w sketches and call it a day.) As with most things I start, it got away from me. When I was finally assembling the pieces in Animate, I thought it was really dumb and was going to regret posting it. But I had unintentionally cut the animation short (It was supposed to go on for like 15 seconds) and the "realization" and sudden cut to black actually made me laugh. So I posted it.
I thought I'd post the individual assets here for folks to see/use inappropriately. Since I didn't need legs, I didn't bother drawing them.
Also, bonus walk cycle animation that I cut. (The original idea was to have the wolf walking towards the viewer then stopping over the cat. But I thought the stationary looming just looked better.)
Edit: Didn't realize I had cropped the wolf animations so poorly. Fixed them.
What do you do to get that outline effect on a stationary character to make it look "animated"? Do you have to draw the same entire character multiple times?

Basically, yeah. I inked the sketch and then traced the inked version two more times, being a little looser with it. The key is to trace the same one over and over for however many frames and not subsequent tracings... Because you can end up with some jarring snaps when it comes back around to the first frame.
