Cavediving with a Friend [By Helip12]
Air at 500m below [By BubbleGlass]
Seyah and Li'ay are both Na'vi who had found a new, supposedly safer home in the aquatic regions of Pandora. They were just out hunting fish to bring back to the tribe when their past threatened to catch.
An advanced human submarine, dubbed "Mako" was patrouling these waters. From its armament, it was easy to tell that it was here to prepare for a new settlement. That meant any Na'vi would be attacked on sight!

It was still in the distance when the girls spotted it and Li'ay wanted to go up for air. Seyah pulled her friend behind a set of cliffs however, shaking her head. She had heard that those vehicles could spot them at great distance. They had to hide and wait for it to pass. That was their only chance.
Li'ay was already struggling though. She was still amidst her training of lasting underwater like the aquatic Na'vi did. Fearfully she looked at Seyah who was in slightly better condition despite having beeen on the hunt underwater for about three minutes as well.

For now Seyah was the more composed one of the two however and so she smiled reassuringly at her friend. --Everything will be well. We will just wait.--, *she told her via sign language before gently placing her hands on the pearl white Na'vi's shoulders.
She guided her hand to cover her mouth and save energy. Just how they had both learned it from the experienced Metkayina. The seconds passed and turned into a whole minute but they could still hear the almost nagging whirring sound of their enemy's engines. Underwater it was very hard to tell whether it was approaching or distancing.

Soon Li'ay could not supress the twitches of her chest any longer. Her body convulsed. Involuntarily she pressed against her friend who welcomed her in a hug. Her own chest soon gave the same movement as they were running out of air quickly...

With her skin being bright and more transparent than the average Na'vi, one could see the purple blush spreading across Li'ay's face. Seyah gulped with worry upon noticing that but she quickly forced a smile again to reassure her.
"M..mhmpff!"
Desperately she pressed her hand harder against her mouth as her chest was heaving every few seconds now, pushing a burst of air into her cheeks. She had to do something or she would drown on the spot!

Despite Seyah's reluctancy, they floated rowards the edge of the cliff, peering past it. Their eyes widened however when they saw the submarine just passing by!
--It won't see us from behind.. Hold on! Please!--, the blue Na'vi signed her friend but she was loosing a trail of bubbles herself in the process. They were aproaching the end of their fifth minute underwater after all...
Would they be spotted.. or would they drown?...
