Lost in a flooding cavern, Toothless' fear rose as the water level did, until with one last gasp, the water had gotten all the way to the ceiling. While he was able to keep swimming and searching for a while thanks to finding air pockets, it's been almost 5 minutes since he last found one, and he's beyond the point of being able to double back. Will he find a way out, or will the next thing to flood be his lungs?
S: out in the middle of an underwater cave, a lone nightfury was having some problems, they got hopelessly lost in the cave and can't find a way out, they are thankfully not super low on breath but is getting there...as they continue to swim around in search for a way to escape, they can hear somebody whimpering out bubbles sadly, floating along was a Cyndaquil, wearing a pair of goggles and looking around nervously with puffy cheeks and a red face, it seems they too was lost in the cave as well, they even look like they were gonna cry
L: "Mm!" The nightfury soon notices the cyndaquil, swimming to them. While he doesn't try to talk since he's underwater, he gestures for them to hold onto him, wanting to help them out.
S: the cyndaquil looks up at the nightfury with fear in their eyes, they don't know if they are trying to be friendly, and that just makes him whimper even more bubbles out and be sadder, wondering deep down if they are ever gonna make it out of this place alive
L: Noticing their fear, the nightfury decides giving up just a little air would be worth it. "Geblt obln, Ibl wablnt tblo hblelp!" His face goes fully red from that, having already been blushing quite a bit.
S: hearing the nightfury's bubbly voice sounding truly urgent, the cyndaquil then decides to let them help, hoping this isn't some kind of trick as he doesn't trust strangers that easily...so they swim up and holds onto the nightfury, covering his mouth as his face fully flushes red, grunting from strain as well
L: The nightfury resumed swimming, very much hoping there'll be at least an air pocket up ahead, if not the exit of the cave.
S: the exit is not even close to where they are, however after about 2 minutes the duo comes across a large air pocket space just a few feet above them...the cyndaquil notices it and points up to it frantically
L: The nightfury thankfully sees that, and quickly swims up into it, gasping. "C-coming to this cave was such a mistake... Are you okay?" He looks back at the cyndaquil.
S: the cyndaquil gasps heavily as he's brought up to the surface, panting a bit "Y-yeah...I'm ok... yeah coming to this cave was a huge mistake...I knew I shouldn't have tooken that dare! Ugh..."
L: "You were dared into this? That's definitely better than me, I just felt like coming here for some stupid reason..."
S: "Uh huh... my buddies all dared me to go into this underwater cave, and I couldn't back down a challenge, so I spend the week learning to swim so I could do it... I don't know why I agreed to this... and now I'm scared..."
L: "At least it got you to learn to swim... But this is REALLY not the place to go for being such a beginner, I'm pretty good at swimming and I'm still regretting this."
S: "Yeah...I knew I shouldn't have done it, but there was money on the line and I couldn't say no to that...but now I don't think it's worth it..."
L: "I don't blame you, I probably would've come here for money too... But anyway, we can't just stay in this air pocket, we have to find a way outside."
S: "I really don't wanna go back down there... it was bad enough that I could have drowned...I'm really scared"
L: "We'll drown for sure if we stay... Better to at least get moving again so we'll have a chance, right?"
S: "I-i suppose your right... but now knowing I'm lost...it's just making me more scared then I should be... I mean I was terrified the first time I went underwater"
L: "Don't worry about being scared, I'm kinda nervous here too... I'm lost too, so all we can really do is wander around and hope it works out."
S: "But what if we--" the cyndaquil stops himself for a moment before he sighs heavily "...fine...I guess your right then, let's just hope we find an exit soon"
L: "And maybe there'll be more air pockets too, since we've already found this one." The nightfury starts taking deep breaths to get ready for another dive.

S: "M-maybe, oh by the way...w-whats your name? I forgot to ask" the cyndaquil takes some deep breathes as well
L: "I'm Toothless. How about you, what's your name?"
S: "N-nice to meet you toothless, my name is Scorch"
L: "Alright, Scorch... You ready to do this? Well, physically ready at least..."
S: "Yeah, I don't know if I'm mentally ready for this, heh"
L: "Neither am I, really... 3, 2, 1..." Toothless holds his breath and dives under.
S: still holding onto Toothless, Scorch holds his own breath before they dive back underwater, whimpering a bit again
L: As much as he doesn't really want to, Toothless swims away from the air pocket, looking around for any sign of a way to get out.
S: scorch whimpers more as the air pocket is out of view, clutching tightly to toothless' back as his cheeks puff up
L: Toothless looks back to check on Scorch every now and then as he continues, hoping their breath holding ability is similar to his.
S: It's not the greatest, his face is already flushing a bit red as bubbles escape him, he wasn't the best breath holder
L: Toothless tries to swim a bit faster, determined to make sure Scorch survives the cave.
S: but the exit is nowhere to be found, making scorch even more nervous, pinching his nose shut as his face is fully red again
L: By now, Toothless is starting to blush again, getting worried for Scorch and swimming as fast as he can in search of air, starting to consider heading for the ceiling and exhaling to make a tiny air pocket for them with his breath.
S: scorch tries to look around for the same air pocket they used before, hoping that somehow it's nearby
L: Toothless tries to head back to that air pocket... But, he can't remember what path to take to do so. He searches around, hoping he'll happen to find it...
S: scorch tries to look around too as his face turns blue, but the air pocket is actually pretty close by to them
L: Thankfully, Toothless happens to go straight back to the air pocket, quickly swimming into it and gasping again. "S-sorry, need to pay more attention!"
S: scorch gasps for air again as well heavily "Oh man, we're never gonna get outta here! And I don't know if I have it in me to go back underwater"
L: "We have to keep trying, this air is only going to last so long... I know you hate this, but we can't give up!"
S: "Toothless... I swear I really don't have it in me to submerge again... I'm getting overwhelmed..."
L: Toothless sighs. "I'm not just leaving you here... We'll figure something out. But, I don't really know what could help us..."
S: scorch looks down at the water below fearfully, he was all find about submerging until this happened, now he doesn't know what to do
"I-i don't either"
L: "We'd better think of something soon, think it might already be getting a bit harder to breathe in here..."
S: scorch gasps "Don't say that, please don't say that... that'll just make me more nervous!"
L: "I-I don't mean to worry you, but it's not gonna be getting any better in here! We'll have to get going regardless soon!"
S: "But i don't waaannna.... ugh, I swear if I make it out of this alive, I'm daring one of my friends to go through this cave, so they can see how it feels!"
L: "Yeah, getting back at them for essentially tricking you into doing this ought to help you feel better!"
S: "Yeah, it does make me feel better! There's no way I could let this slide! In fact, my buddies are waiting for me on the shore of the beach..."
L: "Then once we're outside, we'll both tell them how mean they are for daring you to come in here!"
S: "Yeah! Set them straight! Alright you've given me the confidence to try again then!"
L: "Alright, cool! Let's get ready then!" Toothless starts deeply breathing like before.
S: Scorch with determination starts to deeply breathe as well, this time a lot more confident
S: "M-maybe, oh by the way...w-whats your name? I forgot to ask" the cyndaquil takes some deep breat
L: Eventually, Toothless is ready again. "Okay, here we go... 3, 2, 1!" Once again giving Scorch a chance to hold their breath, Toothless dives back underwater.
S: scorch held his breath as toothless dove back underwater, still holding onto him tightly
L: As determined as last time, Toothless starts swimming through the cave, this time making absolutely sure he can remember the way back to the air pocket just in case.
S: scorch tries to remember the way back too, letting out some small bubbles as he hopes to find the exit this time
L: Though he's still a little nervous, Toothless tries not to show it, picking random tunnels and hoping for the best.
S: scorch is a little nervous too, his face slightly red as he tries to stay positive, he points to a specific path that he thinks may lead to the exit
L: Toothless nods and heads that way. The cave gets more narrow in that direction, but it's still just barely wide enough that he can comfortably swim along.
S: as the cave got more narrow, scorch got a bit more scared, he hoped this path will lead them to freedom
L: Toothless starts to worry it'll get too narrow for him to swim... But, thankfully, it doesn't, and the two eventually actually get to an exit! Except, they were still pretty far underwater, the surface not even visible...
S: scorch looks up at the very far surface and whimpers, he knows they still have a long way to go, but he growls out bubbles, determined to get up there as he pinches his nose shut
L: Toothless starts the long trip upward, hoping it's not TOO far as he's feeling an urge to breathe.
S: scorch felt an urge to breathe too, trying to kick his little legs to somehow go faster upwards
L: It does help a little bit, but it's hardly noticeable. Toothless is occasionally letting out little grunts from the exertion of swimming so fast.
S: they are about halfway to the surface by the now, scorch kicks his legs as fast as possible
L: Toothless is blushing now, but keeps going at full speed, knowing Scorch is probably worse off than he is.
S: scorch's face is turning blue, slowly turning fully blue as they keep going, they are almost there, about 20 feet left
L: Seeing the surface so close helps Toothless calm down some, even though his face is fully red now.
S: Scorch calms down a bit too, but he shivers a bit from how badly he needs to breathe, but thankfully with how fast they were going, they get to the surface safely, scorch gasping for breath heavily and coughing
"W-we....made it!"
L: Toothless gasps as well, thankfully not having been quite as low on breath as Scorch was. "M-man, I was really worried for a little while..."
S: "Me too, but now let's hurry and get to shore, my buddies are waiting!"
L: "Right, time to give them a piece of our minds..." Toothless swims to shore with Scorch on him.
S: "Yep!"
Soon the two get back to shore, and we see scorch's buddies on the shoreline waiting for him, but when they see toothless their a little speechless at him
L: The first to speak up is a croconaw. "...Y-you actually did it? And you met a dragon down there!?"
Toothless: "Yep. And because of you, he likely would've drowned down there if I hadn't happened to meet him."
S: "Yeah! Thanks alot... you guys owe me that money tho!"

Shiny charmander - "There's absolutely no way you did all of this..."
Scorch - "I sure did! And guess what? Now that I suffered through that, I'm daring all of you, to go through that same underwater cave! It's not as easy as you think it is!"
L: Croconaw: "Um... That should be fine, I'm a water type... Never swam in a cave, though..."
Toothless: "Oh, believe me, I thought it'd be fine, but I was lost in there too."
L: Eventually, Toothless is ready again. "Okay, here we go... 3, 2, 1!" Once again giving Scorch a c
absol takes some deep breathes out of fear, but shiny doesn't
L: Flareon: "Shiny, you need to get ready, we can't have you making this harder for us..."
Croconaw: "Yeah, we're gonna need every advantage we can get!"
S: Absol - "Come on Shiny...please?"
Shiny - "....Fine..." shiny rolls his eyes and eventually takes some deep breathes as well
L: After a little while, Croconaw looks around at everyone. "Okay, you guys all ready?"
Flareon: "I think so..."
S: Absol - "I guess..."
Shiny - "I don't really know...but I guess I'm ready too..."
L: Croconaw: "Okay then... 3, 2, 1!" He gets one more deep breath and dives under, Flareon doing the same.
S: absol takes a final breath and dives down as well, however...shiny didn't get a chance to hold their breath and starts to struggle and may already inhale water...absol meanwhile looked down and yelped out bubbles in fear at the depth, scrambling back up to the surface and gasping for air, too scared to come down
L: Croconaw quickly realizes what's happening and surfaces again, as does Flareon.
Croconaw: "You guys alright?"
Flareon: "What happened?"
Toothless: "Huh, thought they were just about to get started..."
S: Shiny - cough cough "I couldn't hold my breath...I don't know what happened, I got too scared"
Absol - "And I got way too afraid by the depth, this is gonna be harder then I thought"
Scorch - "Me too, guess not this time...seems like some of them got too afraid"
L: Croconaw: "Those two aren't gonna be satisfied until we get this done!"
Flareon: "Yeah, the sooner we can get down there, the sooner this'll be over with!"
S: absol and shiny both look at each other with fear, shaking their heads no
Scorch- "Wow, never knew Absol was scared of something, he was always the tough one in our group..."
L: Toothless: "Hm, guess you're all chicken then, if you don't want to go down there..."
Croconaw: "No we're not! It's just that Absol and Shiny don't want to!"
Flareon: "Yeah, we would've gone by now!"
S: "Hmmph, oh sure...even if you were to go down there, you would still be a chicken because your didn't do it all together!"
Shiny - "Ugh, I hate being called a chicken"
Absol - "I do too...but still I'm not doing it...besides there's nothing on the line"
L: Toothless: "Well, we're never gonna stop calling you all chicken until you do this!"
Flareon: "Come on, guys, I doubt it'll be THAT bad..."
Croconaw: "It'll be worth having them stop calling us that."
S: Shiny - "But--"
Absol - sigh "Ugh, how do I always get myself in these kinds of situations... alright alright I'll do it for real... but I won't like it!"
Shiny - "....I still don't wanna do it!"
L: Croconaw: "It has to be all of us, Shiny, or there's no point!"
Flareon: "If any one of us isn't going under, then I'm staying too, I'm not gonna do this for nothing."
S: "I'm sorry, but there's just no way I can survive not only being far down but my little lungs probably aren't gonna last that long..."
Absol - "Please Shiny! I really don't wanna be called a chicken for the rest of my life! I'm a tough pokemon!"
L: Croconaw: "So am I! I don't want Scorch introducing me as a chicken!"
Flareon: "Neither do I!"
S: "At least try, you never know you might be able to make it..."
shiny whimpers and whines, unsure what to do
Scorch - "If a fire type like me can do it, then so can you Shiny! Tell you what, shiny if you do this, I'll half the money you guys still owe me to you!"
Shiny - "....what?!"
L: Flareon: "...W-well, that'd certainly be nice!"
Croconaw: "It sure would, that's a pretty good reward!"
Toothless: "You sure about that, Scorch?"
S: Scorch - "Yeah! Shiny is not only very shy, but he's a good friend of mine too, I know he was involved in my buddies schemes but, i think I'll be worth it...I'll make them pay me back the rest later ;)"
Shiny - "W-whoa...well...I can't turn down that offer!"
Absol - "So you'll do it?"
Shiny - ".....yeah! I-ill do it!"
S: "Oh definitely not" absol takes some deep breathes out of fear, but shiny doesn't L: Flareon: "
L: Toothless nods to Scorch, then looks back at the group. "Alright then, now get going!"
Croconaw: "Thanks, Shiny! Okay everyone, get ready again!" He and Flareon prepare for the dive again.
S: absol and shiny do as well, both of them feeling a bit more confident this time
Scorch - "Good luck! Your gonna need it..."
L: Eventually, everyone's ready again.
Croconaw: "Okay, let's try again... 3, 2, 1!" He and Flareon dive again, and Croconaw makes sure Shiny has a chance to hold his breath this time.
Toothless: "Let's head back to shore and wait for them, Scorch."
S: "Right" they do so
meanwhile, shiny took a big breath in and held it, this time holding his breath as he still held onto croconaw
absol was a little scared at first, but it didn't take super long for him to hold his breath and dive down under with the others
L: Croconaw starts leading the way through the cave, making sure to keep track of the way back. Flareon follows, starting to get nervous already.
S: Shiny was already getting nervous too, his face is already fully red not even halfway through the cave
absol is doing fine for now, trying his best to not get scared as he let's a few bubbles loose
L: Flareon stays next to Shiny as he promised, patting their back with a reassuring smile to hopefully help them calm down, even though he's blushing as well.
S: absol stays on the other side of Shiny, petting them lightly and giving them a reassuring smile as well, they blush a bit as well
shiny smiles a little at the two, but he them grunts from strain, covering his mouth as his face quickly flushes blue...he's definitely not the best breath holder
L: Croconaw looks back at Shiny, realizing how low on breath they are. "Oh jeez... Really hope we find air soon, I don't like needing to give out bubbles..."
S: absol gets concerned himself as he sees shiny's blue face, he grunts a tad bit himself as his face turns a bit more red
Shiny whimpers as he's already getting close to his limit, covering his mouth and nose as he hopes for air
L: Croconaw: "Okay, here!" He quickly blows out a bubble for Shiny to breathe. Flareon wishes he could get one of his own, but understands Croconaw can't make very many.
S: absol wishes that too, but sadly he probably won't get one
shiny looks at the bubble, but he doesn't know what to do with it, having never inhaled bubbles while underwater before, so he just continues to cover his mouth and nose as his face turns purple!
L: Croconaw grabs the bubble so it doesn't float away, and holds it out to Shiny. "Push it against your mouth and breathe in!"
S: shiny nods and quickly pushes his mouth against the bubble, carefully breathing it in, his face returning to a slight red blush now
Absol - "Phblew..."
L: Croconaw nods as he starts to blush a little bit, and he resumes leading the group through the cave.
S: shiny whimpers a bit quieter now, trying to focus on finding the exit of the cave
absol covers his own mouth and grunts a bit more in strain as his face is fully red
L: Flareon does his best to cover his mouth as well while not slowing down, staying with the group as he begins to regret coming down here. He hopes it won't be taking much longer...
S: shiny and absol very much regreat coming down here, they hope the exit isn't far as shiny's face is fully red again
L: Even Croconaw is getting nervous now, completely clueless as to which direction the exit is in, and unsure the group will even be able to make it back the way they came at this point...
S: little does the group know, they have pasted the large air pocket a lot of times without any of them knowing and even the exit a bunch of times, shiny whimpers even more and even starts to cry a little, his face returning to blue
absol even starts to get really scared, unsure if they will make it out
L: Toothless nods to Scorch, then looks back at the group. "Alright then, now get going!" Croconaw:
L: Croconaw doesn't say it, but he recognizes the area the group is in, now knowing they're lost.
Flareon's face is getting a little bit blue now as he whines a little.
S: shiny knows for sure they are lost, he cries as he realizes they are probably not gonna escape
Even absol tears up a bit, whining as their own face turns a bit blue, whining
L: Croconaw: "Th-this was a mistake... H-how did those two do this...?"
Flareon frantically looks around for any possible air source.
S: Absol - "I-i dblont kblnow!!!!"
shiny whines a lot as his face is fully blue, but thankfully they happen to notice an air pocket that's big enough for all of them, and little do they know, this air pocket is really close to the exit
L: Flareon: "MMM!" He bolts up to the air pocket, and Croconaw quickly follows, both of them heavily gasping and panting.
S: absol goes up to the air pocket too, gasping heavily
shiny gasps heavily as well, trembling with fear
Shiny - "Never again, I never wanna submerge again!"
L: Croconaw: "I never knew I could hate swimming underwater..."
Flareon: "O-once this is over... T-taking a break from water..."
S: Absol - "M-me too..."
Shiny - "Yeah, I'm never gonna go near water again! But even now, I don't think I have it in me to go back under..."
L: Croconaw: "We don't have a choice, we have to dive again to get out of here..."
Flareon: "I don't want to dive either, but Croconaw's right..."
S: Absol - "Yeah..."
Shiny - "But I don't wanna dive again! That was so hard for me!"
L: Croconaw: "We can't just stay here, this place sucks!"
Flareon: "I don't want to be stuck here any longer than I have to be!"
S: Absol - "Me neither!"
Shiny - "I can't hold my breath again... I just can't... my lungs are so sore right now... I'm gonna immediately drown if I go back down there..."
L: Croconaw: "Maybe we could at least have a little break first..."
Flareon: "Ugh... Well, if it helps Shiny, I guess it's fine."
S: Absol - "Oh come on!"
Shiny - "...no, I don't wanna delay this anymore...you know what let's just dive"
L: Flareon sighs in relief. "Okay, good..."
Croconaw: "Hopefully we'll be out of this soon..." He and Flareon start deeply breathing again.
S: absol and shiny start to deeply breathe as well, the exit of the cave just a few feet in front of them
L: Eventually, Flareon and Croconaw are ready again.
Croconaw: "3, 2, 1..." They each get one last breath before heading back underwater.
S: absol and shiny take a final breath as well before they head back underwater as well, and almost immediately they are greeted with the exit of the cave!
L: Croconaw bubbles a little in surprise! "Oh! Well, there we go!" He leads the group through the exit, and Flareon is smiling again, glad this'll be over soon.
S: both absol and shiny blow out bubbles in shock as the exit was right there, shiny's tail wags like crazy, knowing that soon they will be back, safe and sound at the surface
L: After leaving the cave, Croconaw and Flareon start swimming straight up, looking up at the surface getting closer.
S: absol follows them up and soon enough, the quartet all reach the surface, shiny and absol gasping in the fresh air
Shiny - "Hah...we made it!"
Absol - "Ha! That'll show them!"
L: Flareon gasps as well, Croconaw calmly exhaling.
Flareon: "Man, now I feel bad for putting Scorch through that..."
Croconaw: "Same here... We'd better go find those two and let them know we're okay."
S: "Good idea"
Shiny - "Right"
and so, they head back to shore, where toothless and scorch are waiting for them
Scorch - "There they are!"
L: Toothless: "Hey, you guys pulled it off!"
Flareon: "Sorry we made you go through that, Scorch..."
Croconaw: "Yeah, even I didn't like that..."
S: Absol - "Yeah I'm sorry too, we really shouldn't have made you go through that"
Shiny - "Same here...that was awful!"
Scorch - "Now you know the feeling, and as promised, shiny will get half the money you guys still owe me"
L: Croconaw doesn't say it, but he recognizes the area the group is in, now knowing they're lost. F
