Joey was laying down in bed, on his belly, as he was playing some games he had gotten for christmas. The otter was unaware as a shadowy figure crept up from behind as he was currently playing his new spiderham game. Without a sound the figure pounced at Joey and pinned him down to his bed, causing him to drop his controller.
"SURPRISE!" The figure yelled out
Turning his head around, he saw his girlfriend katie laying down on top of him.
"Hey, what brings you here?" He asks with a smile on his face
"Well you did say I could drop by ANY time" Katie answered, "You shouldn't give me that kind of permission if you don't want surprise snuggles from your girlfriend" She explained with a giggle
"I don't mind surprise snuggles, as long as you don't mind surprise kisses" He replied with a big grin
Before he had a chance to react, she soon planted her lips against his and gave him a big kiss. "Does that answer your question sissy butt?" she replied with a cute innocent smile
Joey nodded his head and thumped his tail against his bed, before Katie got up off of him.
"But to answer your original question, I am here to bring you to the New Years Celebration down at the castle tonight" Katie answered
"I almost forgot about New Years" Joey admitted looking at his calendar, which was currently on the month of August
"Well it would help if you actually change the page of the calendar to the correct month for starters" Katie pointed out
"Yeah..... I'm really lazy" Joey admitted as he rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment
"Explains why you can't be potty trained then" She replied sticking out her tongue and playfully elbowed him in the side
"Oh hardy har har, I'm not THAT lazy" Joey commented with a grin
"I dunno about that" she replied "I have changed your soggy butt enough times to see you aren't that good at making it to a potty like a non lazy person would do" Katied jokingly replied
Joey just blushed cutely before being nuzzled by the otter girl, "But I don't mind if you are a soggy butt or not" Katie pointed out
"Why is that?" Joey asked as he sat on up
"Because your too cute to not like" Katie replied cuddling into his chest
"Well you're even cuter" Joey replied and and held her close
Katie smiled some before pulling him up to his feet and off of his bed, "There will be plenty of time for snuggling later, for now we have to get to the celebration. Don't forget about that bet from that sleepover all of us had" Katie replied pulling out her portal gun
"Bet?" Joey asked as he tried to recall that bet in particular
"You know, the one where we played smash bros and lost and now you get to be in the photo album to be this years, Baby New Year" Katie reminded him as she opened a portal on one of the walls in Joey's room.
"I thought that was just a joke bet" Joey replied as the memory of that night came flooding on back to his mind
"Nope, our bets are serious, we gotta get you ready for the photo" Katie replied "Besides think of it like really getting to be part of our family, maybe not necessarily being a princess.... though that idea hasn't yet been denied but that's for another time for now you got to fulfill your bet" Katie replied "And no buts about it, no backing out of a princess bet" she replies
"What happens if you do back out of one?" Joey asked
"you have to babysit Riola, and she can be a real handful, she won't listen to anyone but the queen so good luck getting her to eat her veggies or take a bath getting her to keep still for a change" Katie replied
"How long do you have to babysit?" Joey asked
"At least a week" Katie answered
"Well I won't back out of the bet anyways but i suppose that does help make sure everyone else holds up their bets" Joey commented walking with Katie through the portal.
The dup emerged in Katie's lab and made their way to the great hall in the castle where the others were at. the room was decorated with streamers and balloons with a large banner reading out, Welcome 2019. The tables in the hall, were covered in various snacks, drinks and party favors, such as noise makers, party poppers, confetti cannons party hats and gift bags with small chocolates in them. On the wall in the front of the hall was a large timer counting down the time left to the current year as it quickly ticking away to zero as it was currently at one hour and thirty minutes remaining. The other girls were all gathered around at some tables eating up various snacks wearing their party hats as a small white kitten was running around all over playing with one of the noise makers.
"Hey you two, glad you made it was starting to think you two were going to be a no show" A ninetails called on out walking up
"No I just had to get Joey here off his lazy butt so he could come join us" Katie replied
"Looks like a fun little celebration you all have here" Joey commented looking at everything
"Nina nodded her head, "It is, and we have all been waiting for you two to get dressed up to help ring in the new year" She replied with a grin
"Where can we get changed?" Katie asked
"there is the small guest room through that door over there where your sash's top hats and diapers are at" Nina replied pointing to a door on the other side of the hall
Katie nodded and walked with Joey on through the door as the sounds of the party were muffled once the door was closed.
"Now do I need to change your sissy butt or do you think you can do it yourself?" Katie asked
"I can do it myself" Joey replied
"Are you sure? these aren't the normal kind of diapers you wear when we hanging out together, these are cloth diapers" Katie replied
"Like the one I wore back in our slumber party?" Joey asked
"Kinda, except these are held together by a pin" Katie answered
"Oh?" Joey asked curiously, "Well in that case I think I can handle it myself" Joey replied
"You sure?" Katie asked raising an eyebrow
"Yeah, what about you?" Joey asked
"I think I will change myself just to be safe" Katie replied
"What's that supposed to mean?" Joey asked
"Oh nothing, nothing at all" Katie replied walking up to grab her diaper
"It sounds like something to me" Joey commented noticing her tone
Katie didn't answer and and just whistled loudly as she she began to strip out of her overalls and diaper. Joey looked at his own diaper laying on the guest bed and picked it up observing it. The otter boy soon stripped out of his shorts and his own diaper before blushing brightly hearing a wolf whistle from Katie. He looked at the unfolded cloth diaper and then over at Katie watching as she folded it on up around herself before pinning it on together. Looking back at his own Joey proceeded to imitate Katie and fumbling with the pin trying to open it up with a single paw as he uses his other paw to hold his diaper on up around himself. With a bit of difficulty, the otter boy soon gets the pin on through his diaper and and secures it on around himself as wiggled around in it not sure what to think of such a diaper.
"Well it certainly SEEMS like you can pin a cloth diaper on around yourself, now we will see if it holds on up" Katie replied walking up wearing a new years sash on around her and a top hat on her head
Joey nodded his head putting on his own hat and sash, "Told you I could" Joey replied with a smile
"That you did, now come along now, time for the photo, then we can we can celebrate as well" Katie replied taking Joey's hand
Joey walked with her outside as everyone watched smiling at the pair as Katie led her boyfriend to the middle of the room where Esmeralda was standing with a camera in hand.
"Ready for your close up?" Katie asked as she put on a cheering pose for the picture
Joey just nodded his head as he posed excitedly for the photo, but as he did, he could feel his diaper beginning to fall off. Looking down, Joey could see that his cloth diaper was coming undone, and quickly reached down and grabbed hold of the front and back of the diaper. Katie watched chuckling trying to not burst out in laughter as she couldn't help but watch.
"Wow, you really are a baby butt if you can't pin your diaper on properly" The otter girl commented
Esmeralda chuckled a bit before holding up the camera at them both.
"Say cheese" She called out to the two
"Wait no!" Joey exclaimed in protest
Joey let go of the back of the diaper and held up his paw to try and block the shot but as he did, the back fell down and now he was desperately holding onto the front of his diaper trying to remain decent. Joey blushed even harder looking at the queen as she quickly took the photo. Joey just blushed a deep crimson red as the picture was taken, before Katie walked up and helped him fix his diaper.
"Don't worry, no one outside of this family of ours will ever see that photo" Katie reassured
"Thats a princess and queen's promise, sorry bout taking that photo, but you have to admit, that's definitely a photo that will definitely be remembered" Esmeralda replied "Besides, you're not the first one to have a wardrobe malfunction caught on camera" She added
"I know.... it's still embarrassing" Joey commented
"There we go, all fixed up" Katie replied getting Joey's diaper pinned back on snuggly
"Thanks" Joey replied blushing as he rubbed the back of his head
"Glad you didn't change me, otherwise both of us would of had lost out undies" Katie joked trying to pry a smile out of her boyfriend
Joey couldn't help but chuckle, " Give me a break I never changed a cloth diaper before"
Katie smiled and hugged him tight before the two joined the celebration with the others, replacing their top hats with party hats. The group of princesses were all having fun playing little party games like twister, charades, and some various board games to help pass the time till midnight. Soon before Joey even realized it, the timer on the wall was down to the last minute.
"All right girls, get your party poppers ready, only fifty seconds left till we can finally ring in the new year" Esmeralda announced
Everyone gathered around the table that held the poppers, as everyone scrambled to get one. Once everyone had one in their paws the timer was down to 20 seconds.
"Our New years Babies get to have the first go with the poppers" The queen announced as the clock was down to its last ten seconds.
10....9....8....7....6....5....4....3....2....1
Suddenly the two otters quickly pulled the strings on the end of the poppers and let out a shower of tiny streamers.
"Happy New Years!" The two shouted out in chorus
With that, everyone else set off their poppers, showering the two otters in streamers and confetti. Katie just smiled and snuggled into Joey and kissed him lovingly, as Joey held her close and kissed her back before nuzzling softly against her cheek.
"May this new year be a good one" Katie replied
"Well it's off to a good start since I get to spend it with you" Joey replied
