This is from the second test run of my slice of life "photo" style art!
Using environmental storytelling, I want to capture a moment in a character's life and give the feeling of looking through a photo album. Rather than forcing the art to show every part of a character's body, these will crop the character as needed to fit the scene appropriately. I chose the size, layout and desaturated colors for a specific purpose, too. The canvas size is 8x12", and clients are sent a resized version of 4x6", which is the most common size for photo frames! And the hope is that the desaturated colors will have a little mercy on your printer, ha ha.

This scene is inspired by Stage 5 from Um Jammer Lammy, where she uses a chainsaw to cut a fully-formed, green guitar out of a pine tree. This is the aftermath of that event, where she takes a moment to tune her guitar before the show.
